Brenda and the medics headed through the undergrowth following the path that had been designated for them. Eventually they reached the fork where the others had split off earlier in the day and started to lead them ever deeper into the jungle. Following the exact route that the markers they had left behind earlier, they were able to find their way easily. They had to stop every once in a while, in order to gather their energy and strength back, well the medics at least. Brenda was on an adrenaline high and wanted to see Thomas as soon as possible and confess everything she had to say to him. And with every break they took the time elapsing between her seeing him increased. She was getting impatient and annoyed, but she kept it to herself in order to minimise drama and obviously she was concerned about Minho and wanted him to be okay. She followed the trail, getting closer and closer to the place where she had last left Thomas, Jorge, and Minho.

'It's just up ahead' she called back to the medics, seeing the outline of the fallen tree in the distance. She sped up to meet them at the place where she had left them, but she was surprised to find no one there. All that was left was the makeshift bandage they had used for Minho's leg. She stood there perplexed for a second, until she saw a small, but definitive blood trail leading deeper into the forest. That's when she started to panic. 'What if they were in trouble?' she thought. She knew that it was unknown territory, that they had been instructed to be cautious and vigilant, but to have been taken, she didn't want to assume the worst, but the image of Thomas and the others having been captured or worse was enough for a tear to make its way down her cheek. She desperately wanted to sprint as hard as she could in the direction of the blood trail until she was called out of her thoughts by one of the medics saying 'Where are they?' Aware that her idea was dumb, she started to explain what had happened to them.

Meanwhile, Thomas, Minho, and Jorge were chilling with the other team en route back to camp.

'So' began Thomas. 'If we had kept going for literally five more minutes, we would have reached the other side?'

'Yeah' said Frypan. 'It's a lot smaller than you would think.'

'Can we move faster please?' complained Minho. 'I appreciate you cutting the stump of wood so you could move me. And replacing my makeshift bandage with an actual one was a nice touch. But I actually want to survive, so let's keep moving ladies.'

'If Brenda were here, she would punch you for that' said Thomas smirking.

'You're right' said an angry voice behind them.

'Brenda' said Thomas. 'You found us then?'

'Yes', she said panting. 'Through no lack of worry. I thought you'd been taken or worse'

'I appreciate the compassion' said Thomas. 'But really we're…' His words were cut off by a pair of lips connecting with his own and his heart nearly skipped a beat.

'Let's get back' said Brenda, leaving everyone, most of all Thomas, stunned as to what had just happened.
