.Mochi

Daisuke frowns, looking at his fingers very intently. The frown deepens for a moment, before he puts them in his mouth, sucking and lightly nibbling to work off the sticky remains of mochi. He could buy anko and the mochiko flour separate, and make it himself cheaper, he had insisted. Even though they wouldn't be as pretty as the pre-packaged ones, they'd still taste the same, he had insisted. And, Daisuke had also, of course, insisted that he was going to make it at Satoshi's house, and said Hiwatari/Hikari was going to enjoy the mochi, dammit!

Not in those words, though.

At any rate, Daisuke has eaten at least ten completed mochi and the makings for three more separately, while Satoshi has eaten a grand total of two, and decided that two is quite enough, thank you very much.

So Satoshi runs his hands under the water from the sink distractedly, trying so hard not to watch Daisuke, and Daisuke just keeps sucking - on purpose, Satoshi thinks. Daisuke does this on purpose, and it's difficult to even try to convince himself otherwise. For a moment the red-head eyes his fingers again, taking them out of his mouth. After deciding that no more of the mochi can be salvaged from his fingers or nails, he walks to the sink, putting his hands over Satoshi's.

Satoshi clears his throat despite not having needed to, and pushes Daisuke's hands out from under the water. This, of course, merits an over-dramatic gasp and rebuttal. Which merits another rebuttal. And another. And another, until Satoshi rolls his eyes and almost-laughs, cupping water in his hands and splashing it in Daisuke's face.

The red-head gives a small shriek that is decidedly not-manly in pitch, sputters, and splashes back.

Two hours later finds them sitting at the park - they both wonder how they got there - drenched clothes and all. The sun is warm, and isn't exactly slow to dry their clothes. It's not exactly fast, either, but it's warm enough that Satoshi isn't shivering.

When the Harada twins find them, they're completely dry, and Daisuke is hungry again. (Satoshi, however, doesn't want anything. Except maybe Daisuke, but he can't have him until the twins are gone.) When offered food, Daisuke declines politely and says "We've got a lot of food back at his house, so we'll just go back. Nice seeing you."

A little while later, Daisuke is still hungry, but Satoshi really doesn't want much more. Except for Daisuke to stop trying to get up, because pulling him back onto the bed is getting tiring.
