Sum: Ficlet. About a wish Aragorn made.

Dandelion

Time passed and the dandelions, once as yellow as the sun had now changed into silver-grey orbs made of hundreds of little parachutes, ready to fly. The long grass was full of them, and the young infant running around in them was eager to blow them all.

Arathorn looked down on his young son, smiling as the toddler ran around from flower to flower, taking so much joy out of something so simple.

"Aragorn…" he called out to the little dark haired boy, kneeling down and opening his arms, so the child would run into them like he had ever since his son had taken his first steps.

If I could turn back time…

"Did you make a wish yet, Aragorn?" Arathorn's hand brushed the hair away from the eyes of his child, smiling at the slight of the bright red cheeks.

If I could find a way…

"Wisj?" Two big, blue eyes looked up at him.

"Yes… a wish." Arathorn smiled, as he picked one of the dandelions and showed it to his young son. "Blow all the seeds off a dandelion and you can make a wish.

Go on….blow!"

I'd kill all the orcs that hurt you…
And you'd stay.

Aragorn looked up from the dandelion in his hand and smiled at the dark-haired infant running from one flower to another.

But there is only one time that can be changed…
And that time is the future.

He knelt down and opened his arms, so the child would run into them like he had done since the day he had learned to walk.

"Did you make a wish yet, Eldarion?"
