A/N: Hello everyone! I wanted to let you all know that I will be unable to write for the next few weeks because I am getting a new computer and I'm not sure how long it will take to set up and everything. Sorry about this, but I promise I will be back with more chapters in a few weeks! Thanks to all you loyal readers! I will write again soon!

Ezra followed Hondo through the crowded casino. He could somehow sense the danger around him and he stayed close to Hondo, who was the most protective thing for the time being. Hondo rolled the crate around, looking for his buyer. Finally he spotted him and made his way toward a table.

"Ah, there she is. Now, she may not understand why you are here, so stay silent." Ezra remembered his time with the Empire, never being allowed to talk freely. Ezra just nodded. He stuck his thumb in his mouth, nervous about meeting this "buyer."

Hondo went over to the booth in the back, Hondo greeted the man and madde Ezra slide in first. Ezra slumped down in his seat under the gaze of the buyer.

The woman wasn't human, but Ezra couldn't recognize what she was. She wore a hood over her blue skin and clicked large nails - claws - on the table as she waited.

"Hondo. Am I correct that you have the supplies?"

"Um, yes ma'am, right here." Hondo gestured to the crate next to him.

"Now, don't mind if one of my crew checks that the supply is correct. Although I trust you I cannot treat one of my suppliers differently than the rest." A tall muscular man came over to check the crate's contents. Ezra shrank away at the approach of the man.

"I see you have brought your own security with you." The woman turned her gaze on Ezra and he saw her red eyes from inside her hood. "What's your name, sweetie?"

Ezra scooched even closer to Hondo under the gaze of the woman.

"This is Dev. He's somewhat of a ...stowaway."

"Oh, well in that case I can take him off your hands." Suddenly, a transmission came in for Hondo.

"Oh, excuse me for a moment." Hondo left to check the transmission, leaving Ezra with the woman.

"How old are you, Dev?" Ezra sniffled, but didn't answer. "Answer me, young one." The woman's voice sounded slightly irritated. Again, Ezra remembered his time with the empire. When they told him to talk, he had to talk or they would poke him with an electrical stick.

"I'm four."

"And why aren't you with your parents?"

"My parents are gone."

"Well in that case, you can come with me and I can help you find an even better home. You can work and play and have fun."

"No, I…" Hondo had returned.

"So sorry about that. Another business deal going on. May I buy you a drink?"

"Of course, but then we can discuss our business over a game of Sabacc, how does that sound?"

"Yes, yes I will go grab you a drink. Dev, come join me." Ezra hopped up to follow Hondo. "Your crew is on their way. Now carry this drink back to the table."

Ezra brought two drinks to the table, careful not to spill a drop so that they didn't get angry with him. He sat down and watched the door, waiting for his crew to come in and save him. Under the woman's gaze, he stuck his thumb back into his mouth.

"Now Dev, you're a cute one. Have you ever...worked for anyone before?"

Ezra shook his head.

"No? Where did you live before this?"

"Lothal."

"Never been there. Is it nice?"

Ezra nodded again, looking around for his crew or Hondo. Hondo returned with a deck of Sabacc cards. After dealing himself and the woman in, they started to play.

"Hondo, would you consider selling the boy to me? I could give you many credits for him. More than I will for the supplies you brought."

"Well, you see, he has another… buyer coming."

"Disappointing, why did you not mention that to me? I promise I could match double what they're paying you and pay extra."

"Well, can we discuss the payment for my supplies I brought?"

"Yes, yes. I'll give you 200 credits, how is that?"

"Yes, that will be a good amount," Hondo answered. The woman snapped at her muscle man and he brought her a suitcase of money. She handed him a case full of credits. Hondo looked hungry for the credits.

Finally, Ezra saw his crew walk in. Ezra tugged on Hondo's shirt, interrupting his game. He pointed at his crew. Kanan and Sabine were looking around for him while Zeb and Hera stayed by the door.

"Those are his buyers? The boy seems eager to be sold. Dev, you would have a much better time with me."

Ezra tried to climb over Hondo to get to his crew, but Hondo grabbed him.

"Wait, they must pay for my care of you." Ezra struggled in his grip, but couldn't get out.

Sabine spotted him first. The boy was pointing at them and smiling. Sabine gestured over to him and she and Kanan hurried toward Ezra. Zeb and Hera waited nearby to jump in if things went bad. The kid tried to get out of the seat but Hondo stopped him. The crew made it to the table.

"Here are your credits, now give us Dev," Kanan demanded.

"How many credits?"

"There's 50 in total." Sabine said. The crew had a rough time scraping up the money after they went on their shopping trip.

"50?" The woman across from Hondo asked. "That's all the boy is worth to you? Hondo I will give you 500 for someone like him. Such a cute and innocent thing."

Sabine shivered at the tone the woman used when talking about Ezra.

"He is not for sale. He is coming with us," Kanan said.

"For 50 credits? That is a measly sum."

"We don't have anymore to give," Sabine said.

Hondo was struggling with what to do. The thought of receiving 500 credits was unbelievable. But the ghost crew was his ally...

"Fine, 500 credits it is."

"No!" But Kanan and Sabine had no power without making a scene. Again, the woman snapped and was brought her case of money.

"500 credits." The woman handed Hondo the money. Hondo couldn't believe it. The two pretended that Sabine and Kanan weren't even there. Ezra made eye contact with his master. Kanan sent reassurance through the force. He would figure out what to do. He had to.

"Now, Hondo, I believe we bartered for 100 credits for this round, which I have won, so hand it over." The woman held out her hand. "Dev, be a dear and hold onto his credits while he counts out 100 for me. Hondo, never underestimate me." Honda handed the box of 500 credits to Ezra, grumbling about his payment.

"I am going to get another drink. Dev, come with me," Hondo said, standing up.

"Now, child. Do not move. You are mine now. Where are you going?" Ezra saw his chance and jumped out of the booth.

"Get him!" The woman yelled at her muscle man. The man, along with two others the same size as him ran after the boy, but the crew was waiting for their chance.

Kanan and Sabine took out their guns. Ezra safely behind them, they shot at the approaching men. Zeb and Hera quickly approached. Hera picked up a shaking Ezra and Zeb joined the fight. Hera brought Ezra out of the building and all the way to the ship before setting him down.

Soon the others joined them and they left the horrible planet. Kanan took Ezra onto his lap in the common room, comforting the shaking boy.

"We're so sorry, Ezra. We didn't mean to leave you," Sabine told him.

"I know, 'Bine." Kanan, Sabine, and Zeb smiled at him.

"Hey, what's in the box?" Zeb asked. Ezra loosened his grip on the big box that he held, letting it fall to the floor of the ship. It spilled open and the crew gasped.

"That would be 500 credits," Sabine said with a smile. "Good job, Ezra. You've made us rich!"

Ezra smiled and moved closer to Kanan. He was happy to be back with his family.
