A/N: Hello! I hope everyone is having a great start to their school year (or end of the summer for those who don't go to school)! I just wanted to let you know that I'm going to be updating less often. I am working on a few more stories to publish at the moment and I'm moving into college this weekend, so I won't be able to update for a little while because I'll be getting settled into school. I am not done updating - I still have lots of ideas left to write about! Thank you for reading!

Hera realized right away that something wasn't right. Chopper buzzed that the cargo bay door had opened automatically and Hera commed the crew to see if they were alright.

When they didn't answer, Hera started to get nervous, so she sent Chopper to go ask them what was happening. A minute later, Chopper frantically rolled back into the cockpit, screeching.

"What is it, Chop?"

Chopper let out a series of beeps.

"They're gone?"

Chopper buzzed out some more.

"Ezra was with them? How do you know?" Chopper held out Ezra's stuffed cat to Hera. Ezra would carry the cat around the ship a lot, but when it wasn't with him, it was safely in his room.

Hera immediately picked up the Ezra tracker device and found Ezra's coordinates.

"This thing sure is handy." She plugged the Ezra tracker into the ship and it started to track Ezra. Hera was relieved to find that the crew ended up in a lake instead of on land. Although water wasn't ideal, it was better than splatting on land.

Hera turned the ship around to follow the coordinates.

Chopper buzzed again.

"I know we're not following the mission, but the crew comes first, we have to go get them."

Chopper beeped back.

"Yes, Chop, even Zeb."

The crew was still wet and shivering when they saw the Ghost coming their way. Ezra was the first one to see the ship. From Kanan's arms, Ezra saw the Ghost flying toward them.

"It's Mama!" Ezra said, waving at the ship. Kanan, Zeb, and Sabine all looked to where he was waving and were relieved to see that the Ghost was coming to pick them up.

"Do you think she's still angry?" Sabine asked.

"Most likely. The mission can't go on anymore. We're gonna have to find a different time or location to get the supplies we were gonna steal," Kanan answered.

The Ghost landed and Hera came running out, holding towels for the crew.

After getting wrapped up, Ezra reached out so that Hera would grab him. He missed nice Hera and was glad she was back.

"We're sorry the mission was a disaster," Zeb said.

"No worries," Hera said, smiling at the crew. Everyone eyed her, confused at how calm she was being.

"You aren't upset?" Kanan was confused, hoping Hera wasn't being passive aggressive.

"No. When the malfunction happened, Chopper picked up on the issue in the ship, so now, I know what part we need to replace," Hera led them inside.

"Yeah, at the expense of a mission and a near-death experience for Ezra," Sabine said, quietly. Zeb nudged her, giving her a look to tell her to quiet down. He wanted to keep happy Hera around and not unleash the angry Hera again.

"Near-death? What happened?" Hera looked at the boy in her arms.

"Turns out Ezra can't swim, so we had a little issue with that, but nothing to worry about," Kanan said.

"Ezra, are you okay?"

Ezra nodded. Putting his head on Hera's shoulder.

Hera took Ezra to the cockpit, leaving the others in the common room.

"Well, concerned mama Hera is not as bad as angry Hera," Zeb said. Sabine and Kanan couldn't agree more.

The next day, Ezra watched as Hera got breakfast ready. He was starting to doze off when Hera said, "Ezra, can you go wake up Kanan? He usually doesn't sleep in so late, he's probably meditating. Tell him that breakfast is ready."

Ezra bounced up from the table, happy to help. Ezra walked up to Kanan's door and remembered what to do. Ezra softly knocked on the door, waiting for an answer. When he didn't receive one, he opened the door and walked inside. He saw Kanan still sleeping.

"Kanan?" Ezra said, approaching Kanan, slowly. "Mama said to wake you up."

Kanan still stayed asleep. Ezra felt the force through their bond, but was frightened by how weak Kanan's force signature was. He got closer to the bed, climbed in and started to shake Kanan awake.

"Kanan! Wake up," Ezra said in a louder voice.

Kanan groggily awoke to someone shaking him. The moment Kanan came to his senses, he was attacked by his symptoms. His stomach started to ache, while his head felt like it would explode. He felt freezing and fevered at the same time. He couldn't breathe very deeply, causing him to gasp for breath. And his throat felt like it was on fire. Kanan tried to shove away the arms that were still shaking him. All he wanted to do was sleep. Then Kanan heard a small voice and a thunk of something hitting the ground. Kanan's brain started to function and he realized what he had just done. He twisted around, fully opening his eyes and staring down at Ezra, who was now on the floor.

"I'm so sorry, buddy."

Ezra struggled to his feet and said, "It's okay, Kanan. It was an asident. Mama says that it's time to eat now." Kanan got to his feet and went to take Ezra's hand, but he had a dizzy spell and gripped the side of his bed.

"Kanan, what's wrong?" Ezra asked, looking frantically at Kanan.

"Just lost my balance. Let's go eat breakfast." Kanan said, using all his strength to walk straight.

As they entered the kitchen, Kanan sat down at the table and Ezra sat right next to him, side-eying him with worried glances. Hera gave them and Sabine, who had recently gotten up, each a plate of food full of fruit and scrambled eggs.

"Thank you, mama," Ezra remembered.

"Yes, thanks, Hera," Sabine added as she dug in.

Hera glanced at Kanan. He looked awfully red and he was pushing things around his plate.

"Kanan, are you okay?"

"Yes, Hera, just a bit tired." But Hera had a feeling it was more than that. She noticed Ezra glancing worriedly at Kanan every so often.

"I've got to go get the broken ship part in the city, are you sure you're all okay?" Hera asked.

"Yes, we're fine. Do what you need to do," Kanan replied.

"Okay, if you need anything, I'm on coms." Against her better judgement, Hera grabbed her list and left on a speeder.

After Hera left, Kanan got unsteadily to his feet and asked Ezra, "Are you ready to train a bit?" Ezra nodded, wearily. Kanan took Ezra's hand and made his way to the door.

Kanan set Ezra down on the ground and told him they were going to work on some force lifting. Ezra jumped up and down in excitement. Ezra watched Kanan go first. Kanan stood and closed his eyes. He lifted his arm and suddenly, Kanan saw stars and passed out. Ezra watched in horror as Kanan's body hit the ground. He plopped down next to Kanan and pleaded him to get up. Then, he knew what to do. Kanan needed help.

Ezra raced inside the ship, thinking about who he should get. Sabine was awake, but she was doing some engineering work for Hera. Zeb was still asleep, but if he knew Kanan was in trouble, he would help. And Zeb was strong and could carry Kanan if need be. Ezra made his way to his shared room and opened the door.

"Zeb!" The little boy shook the Lasat's shoulder. "Zeb!"

Zeb sleepily rolled over in his bed and glared down at the kid.

"Kanan fell down and he won't wake up and he…" the boy started to cry. "He needs help."

Zeb immediately stood up and asked, "Where is he?"

"Outside on the ground," Ezra said as Zeb rushed toward the back of the ship. Though he was still tired, Zeb knew that Kanan was not well. As soon as he saw Kanan's body, he told Ezra to get Sabine.

Zeb approached Kanan's body and checked his pulse. When he felt a beat, he could finally breathe out in relief. He started to shake Kanan, hoping he would wake up. With no response, Zeb picked up the passed out Jedi and hurried him into the ship. By then, Ezra had gotten Sabine and they were both watching from the inside of the ship.

"Sabine, get the med bay ready. I'm not sure what's wrong with him, but we have to try to figure it out fast." Zeb didn't know much about human illnesses or injuries, but he knew he should probably learn now that he lived with three. While Sabine checked Kanan over, Zeb, who had asked where Hera was, ran off to find a comlink. He brought it back to the med bay.

"Zeb, I need you to get some cold cloths for Kanan's head and a few fever reducers. If he wakes up he's going to need to take those. For now, we need to get him cooled off as best as we can." Zeb handed Ezra the comlink and hurried off to find the supplies.

Ezra, who was still crying, pressed the comlink, like Kanan had shown him, and said, "Mama?"

There was a reply almost immediately.

"Ezra? What's wrong?"

"Kanan is sick and he's not waking up." Hera cursed herself for leaving when she knew something was up. She turned her speeder around and headed back toward the ship.

"I'll be there in 15 minutes. Everything's going to be okay, Ezra. I want you to go find your stuffed loth cat and sit by Kanan until I get back, okay?"

"Yes, mama."

"Okay, now give the comlink to Zeb or Sabine, whoever's there." Ezra gave it to Sabine.

"Hello, Hera. Kanan's breathing, but his temperature is rising rapidly. He's not waking up. I'm trying to cool him off right now."

"Good job, Sabine. Keep trying to wake him up. You can also take his shirt off, which can cool him off. Just make sure that he doesn't start to shiver. If he starts to shiver, you need to put his shirt back on and keep his body warm while still cooling off his head. Alright? If anything changes, com me. I will be there as fast as I can." Sabine put the comlink down and told Zeb what Hera had said. Ezra came back with his stuffed animal and sat down by Kanan's feet, waiting for Hera to get back and make it all better.
