It was 14:00 on a Wednesday when a strange blue box appeared in the middle of the colonial fleet. However, before any Vipers could be launched or anyone could decide quite what to make of it, it vanished.

Just when everyone had convinced themselves that the fleet was not about to be destroyed by virtue of mysterious blue box it re-appeared, this time in the middle of the Galactica's hanger deck.

The lanky man with the spiky hair and long coat that bounded out of the box didn't seem remotely concerned that every pilot, deckhand and marine present had a gun trained on him.

"Hello," he offered cheerfully, giving a little wave, "anyone know where I can find Laura Roslin?"

The blonde girl who stepped out of the box behind him did seem a little bothered by all the guns and stayed very close to her companion.

"What do you want with the President?" Apollo demanded, stepping up to the man.

"Sorry, that's between me and Laura. Rose," he turned to the blonde girl, "this shouldn't take long, why don't you get a tour of this ship from, sorry what was your name?"

He was looking at Kara, but she had no intention of answering the strange little man.

"Her name's Starbuck," Kat answered helpfully.

"Brilliant! Rose, get a tour of the ship from Starbuck here, and we'll meet back at the TARDIS. Shall we go?" He stuffed his hands into his pockets and strolled out of the hanger deck completely ignoring the six marines that had fallen into step around him at Lee's nod.

The blonde girl, Rose, leaned on her hip and looked at Kara, "So, what sort of name is Starbuck?"

---

"I don't reckon this was what The Doctor was talking about when he said you should give me a tour," Rose commented, not really objecting, because Kara licking her pulse point and pushing her knee between her thighs was a vast improvement on being chased, shot at or almost eaten for lunch.

"When Lee called he said I had to show you a good time, apparently the President was pleased to see your friend."

"People usually are, well, when they're not trying to kill-" Rose's sentence ended abruptly because Kara's hand had found its way under her t-shirt and bra and pinched a nipple.

"You're not having a good time with me?"

"I dunno," Rose cocked her head, "ask me again in a bit."

Kara grinned, a huge face splitting grin and darted in to kiss Rose.

---

"Ready to go?" The Doctor called out as he slammed the TARDIS door behind him.

"Yeah, all sorted?" Rose called back.

"Yep, time and space back to the way they should be, President Baltar, honestly, ridiculous idea!"

"That Starbuck girl," Rose asked as the Doctor threw the switch that started the TARDIS, "is she going to be important?"

The Doctor grinned manically, leaning over the console, "that Starbuck girl is Captain Kara Thrace who is going to be instrumental in saving humanity from the Cylons. Why?"

"Just wondering," Rose said, all the while thinking 'take that Mr-I-snogged-Madame-De-Pompadour.'
