Look At These Photographs

While Daisy supervised Mr. Fox being warmed up in the microwave Eggsy put together a bag full of treats for both Merlin and Percival to take home with them. Both men were delighted with the care packages; Merlin of course expecting it as his due while Percival was both surprised and grateful for Eggsy's thoughtfulness. Not to mention the fact that at least some of that gratefulness was because the food meant Percival wouldn't have to worry about going out or getting delivery the following day. And fair enough. The most important thing was that Percival was looking a great deal better by the time Daisy had been put back in bed and Harry escorted both Percival and Merlin to the door, waving them off with Eggsy at his side.

Once the two were in their respective cars and on their way Harry turned his attention back to Eggsy, thanking him for inviting Percival over. It had really seemed to help.

Eggsy smiled back. "No prob. Specially seeing as I know now ow much I owe the man."

Lowering his head Harry gave him a kiss of agreement, enjoying the moment wholeheartedly before they broke away to close the door. Harry would rather not put themselves on show for anyone who might be looking their way after all. A sentiment Eggsy found quite amusing.

Door closed and locked up for the night, Harry cautiously re-broached the subject from earlier, which had been weighing on him in the back of his mind.

"Given how early Daisy goes to bed, it occurs to me that it might be better if I were to come home for lunch and help her with her project then. Otherwise she'll have to wait all day for my help, and she seemed quite excited about it."

"Yeah, she is." Eggsy's nose scrunched up. "It wouldn't be too much trouble, though? You comin home then?"

"I'll make it work. I am, after all, technically the boss. Not that Merlin seems to remember that. Well, except when it comes to the division of paperwork." Harry tacked on, smiling ruefully before his face dropped into more serious lines. "But are you all right with that? Your friend will be here after all."

"Nah. I'll just wait until you're gone ta tell im. It'll be fine." Eggsy assured him. Though he didn't sound as confident as Harry would have liked.

"If you're sure..."

"I'm sure, Harry."

Oh, well. Hopefully it went all right.

"Good. I'm looking forward to meeting your friend."

The look Eggsy gave him made it clear he wasn't buying that, which was fair.

"Well...I'm not sure what we'll have to talk about. And as someone who's important to you I would rather he liked me than not...but we'll make it work somehow."

Which could be quite difficult given that Ryan might already be set against him without even having met him, Harry silently added to himself. He wasn't a fool, he was aware that all the negative things people would point to when it came to his and Eggsy's relationship would also apply here in terms of age, status, and wealth. He doubted very much that he would have anything in common with Eggsy's friend save for, well, Eggsy himself.

"I won't leave ya alone with im." Eggsy promised. "He'll behave."

"I'd rather we just learn to coexist so that he feels comfortable visiting you here. You haven't had friends over here while I've been here." Which was only occurring to Harry now. He was really slipping lately.

"Just really only have the two tight mates. And Jamal is workin nights right now."

"And how does he feel about you living with me?"

"He was suspicious at first, but he said that he could see ow happy I was livin here with ya and so long as it stays that way he was fine with it." A telling pause. "He thinks you're my sugar daddy."

Now there was a term Harry had never thought would ever be applied to him. Well, unless he was undercover at the time, which was not the case here. Though he supposed he should get used to the term being applied to him given that a great many people were likely to leap to that conclusion in the future.

Whatever face he was making had Eggsy snickering again in amusement.

"Right. Well. It's not that funny."

"Sorta is."

He should be grateful, Harry supposed, that Eggsy wasn't offended or hurt at the idea of people seeing him as someone who would be kept by an older man. Though Eggsy had been worried about the charity picnic and how people would react to them there...hmmm. Perhaps it was only Harry's friends' opinions that Eggsy was worried about. Either way it was probably for the best that Harry had been married to his work for so long that the majority of his friends were also colleagues.

As in for the best because they would either know better or be too afraid of what he'd do to them to insult Eggsy. Not to mention they'd be desperate to keep being fed by him, especially since...damn.

"I just realized...now all of my agents are going to be lobbying to come over for dinner."

Face lighting up with the laughter escaping Eggsy's lips, well it was apparently that the younger man thought Harry was kidding him. He so wasn't. Lancelot, Merlin, Bors and now Percival had all eaten here. The others would have to receive invitations soon or they'd feel left out. And that would not end well for him.

Bollocks.

"Got any more work ya got ta do tonight?"

Technically, yes. But in light of things-and just because he was the boss- Harry shook his head and wrapped an arm around Eggsy's waist, drawing him closer to his side in the process.

"I'm all yours."

)

The next morning Harry came down the stairs to be greeted by the sound of Daisy butcher a song beyond recognition in the dining room. Not the best way to start the morning, but still preferable to the way she'd woken them up the day before. And she seemed to be in a good mood, so the hair loss had yet to become a negative in her mind which was another plus. Or at the very least more positive than the song Daisy was 'singing'. Now that the male singer was singing instead of the female, voice loud and hard enough that Daisy couldn't overpower it, Harry recognized the song in question. Not the happiest of tunes, but Harry surmised that that was just luck of the draw. Or playlist, in this case.

"-The mind plays tricks
You are confused
The man you seek is long gone
Dead and cold
A story told, by those he trusted,
Those he loved, and those who then...
Moved on."

Eggsy came in as the Count of Monte Cristo and Mercédès began their duet, Eggsy's voice a sharp contrast with Daisy's in terms of power and skill. Eggsy, after all, could not only carry a tune, but was truly lovely to listen to. There was also the fact that Eggsy had the verbal skills to accurately pronounce the lyrics and not mangle them beyond comprehension, too.

Voice dropping away at the sight of Harry Eggsy smiled and walked over to him, brushing their lips together in a 'Hello' and 'Good morning' kiss that Harry was more than happy to reciprocate.

"Good morning. I see Daisy is wide awake and feeling very...expressive this morning."

"I figured I'd distract her with some music. Works like a charm."

"Quite. Though this song is a little dark, isn't it?"

Eggsy shrugged. "Never too early ta teach er about good music though, right?"

He couldn't argue with that.

Talking over Daisy, who was still lost in 'song' but not in volume, Eggsy leaned in to be heard better. "By the way, we got ta go out this morning before Ryan comes by. Want we should drop you off, or do ya need the car?"

"A ride would be lovely."

"Brill. We have to go and get 'special paper for her project." Eggsy punctuated the 'special' with his fingers.

"Hi, Unca Harry!"

Turning to smile at Daisy now that she'd noticed his presence, Harry returned the greeting and complimented her on her singing.

Daisy beamed.

"I wuv this song. It's got ponies!"

"Ponies?"

"Youtube." Eggsy explained, giving a 'what can you do' sort of shrug. "A fan of the musical and the new 'My Little Pony' series decided ta animate scenes from the play with the ponies playing the characters. It popped up on my vid suggestions cause I've listened ta the soundtrack for it, and I clicked on it; figured what the hell. Then I showed it to Daisy...she flippin loves it."

"I wuv it." Daisy confirmed.

"I see. Well I'm glad you enjoyed it."

Daisy nodded in satisfaction, then asked Eggsy where breakfast was.

"The frittata is almost done. Bout three minutes more."

Restraining himself from rubbing his hands together in glee at the thought, Harry asked if there was anything he could do to help. Like set the table.

"Yeah? That would be great."

"Right. Daisy, I trust that you can make sure that Mr. Fox behaves himself until we get back?"

"I will."

Following Eggsy into the kitchen Harry was surprised when Eggsy asked if Thomas was working in the shop today.

"As far as I know. Why?"

"Daisy needs a piccie with him. For her poster."

Heading straight for the oven Eggsy opened it up and peered at whatever was inside. Which was not the frittata; Harry could see that cooking on the stove top.

"Of Thomas?"

"Yeah. We was talkin bout it before ya got up and she listed off the people she wanted on the board. I got plenty of pics of her with us, Mum, Mr. Fox, Merlin, and Rox, but I don't got a really good one of her with Thomas. That's part of why I said we'd drop ya off. I figure we can nip into the shop for a minute and take the pic if he's workin."

Eggsy turned his head to grin in Harry's direction. "Addison was on her list too. I figured I'd just have Merlin send me a pic of im."

Dear Heavens.

"That would be best, yes. And he's out of the country, currently." Which was also for the best.

Retrieving some oven mitts Eggsy reached into the oven to retrieve what proved to be hash browns, reminding Harry that he was supposed to be collecting the silverware and such for their meal. The delicious meal they couldn't eat until the table was set.

As motivations went-not to mention an excellent distraction from the fact that Daisy apparently thought of Addison as part of their family-Harry considered his assigned breakfast task an adequate distraction.

)

After breakfast and during the car ride to work Harry learned why Thomas was on Daisy's list of family members. Apparently when Daisy had first started daycare she and Eggsy had made a point to drop in at the shop afterwards, hoping to catch Harry working so that they could say hello. But being that he'd usually been at headquarters or busy Harry hadn't been around to see them. So instead of visiting with him they'd ended up chatting a bit with Thomas, and once they'd figured out Harry was never around for them to visit they'd decided to still come by and say hi to Thomas instead. Daisy loved the shop and getting to see all the 'pretty boys' that came in.

Daisy, apparently, shared her brother's love for a good-looking man in a bespoke suit.

The way Eggsy winked at Harry as he said that would have pleased him more if he weren't feeling bad for the fact that he hadn't been there to see them when they'd come by all those times. Daisy must have been particularly disappointed.

"No makin that face. Wasn't a big deal. If it was I would have said sometin to ya."

That did make him feel a little better, but still...

"I can make an effort to do some of my work in the conference room at the shop. On the days you stop by."

"Only if it works for ya. And you're willin ta share her with Thomas. He loves hangin with Dais too."

"Fair enough."

Daisy was certainly eager to go visit Thomas, their little girl wiggling like mad in her car seat. She had insisted on dressing up for the occasion, in a lovely blue frock, and if not for the whole being nearly bald thing Harry thought she'd look quite stunning.

The basically shaved head was going to take some getting used to still.

Arriving at Kingsman in good time, Daisy all but danced in place as she waited for them to collect Harry's things so that they could head to the front of the shop. Apparently Daisy liked looking at the display before they went in.

So they circled the building, Harry only remembering a moment too late that there was a particular article of clothing in the window he'd rather hoped that Eggsy would not get a chance to see. Though then again, he hadn't realized how often Eggsy came by the shop, so perhaps it was unavoidable.

"Sick." Was Eggsy's opinion of the orange tuxedo jacket, the younger man moving in for a closer look. "Now that's aces, that is. If ya got ta wear a penguin suit, at least that's got somethin extra to it."

His nanny and tutors hadn't raised him to be a fool. Harry just smiled and nodded. Then suggested they head inside and get that picture, Daisy showing her support by forgetting the display and running over to the door, yanking it open hard enough to draw both their attentions back to her.

Excellent distraction. He'd bring her some candy to reward her once she was out of trouble for the hair.

Following her inside the shop-which was thankfully empty save for Thomas and one of his assistants-Harry watched as Daisy made a beeline for Thomas, who was already crouching down to scoop her up into his arms and into a hug.

"Thomas!" Daisy crowed. "I here!"

"So I see, Miss. Daisy. And how lovely to see you. Your hair looks even lovelier in person."

"I look like Mr. Merwin!"

Harry gave Thomas full points for stifling the laughter dancing in Thomas's eyes.

"You do."

Beaming with pride, Daisy asked Thomas if he liked her dress.

"It's very becoming. Are you going somewhere special today?"

Shaking her head hard enough that her curls would have been flying everywhere if she still had any, Daisy fingered Thomas's collar.

"I gets my picture taken."

"Oh? What's the occasion?"

Doing another wiggle, and looking up at Thomas from beneath her lashes like a classic femme fatale-and how did she know that female trick already, she was three for crying outloud-Daisy coyly informed Thomas that she was getting her picture taken with him.

"With me?"

"Uh huh. Peas?" Daisy aimed the big eyes look at Thomas, Harry sympathizing. That look was lethal.

"Well of course you can, but...why?"

"For my poster!"

Thomas looked to Harry for answers. Which was fair.

"Daisy's daycare has assigned her the task of creating a poster decorated with pictures of those she considers family. Which includes you."

For a moment Thomas's face was blank, then understanding hit him. And for a moment it actually looked like he might tear up, considerable emotion coming over his face.

"Well I-I would be..." Thomas loudly cleared his throat and blinked hard a few times. "I would be honored."

"Yay! Piccie, Eggsy! Piccie!"

"I know, Flower. Got my phone right here." Eggsy waved it for emphasis.

"We gots ta smile." Daisy informed Thomas very seriously.

"And so we shall." Thomas assured her, still looking more than a little bright eyed as he determinedly turned to look in Eggsy's direction, Daisy doing the same as she wrapped her little arms around Thomas's neck.

It was very adorable in Harry's opinion. And the pictures Eggsy took and showed them proved it.

That Thomas requested a copy was just the icing on Daisy's cake, so to speak.

"I'll show ya my poster." Daisy promised Thomas, craning her neck up to beam at him. "I'm getting special paper."

"And we should hurry and get it cause we need ta be home afor Ryan, right? So say goodbye, okay? We'll come visit Thomas soon."

"Bye, Unca Harry! Bye, Thomas!" Daisy bounced as she said it, Eggsy taking her hand to keep her a little stiller.

"I'll be coming home around lunch time to have lunch with you and then help you with your poster." Harry reminded her after Thomas had returned Daisy's goodbye. "I'll see you then, all right?"

"Yup."

"All right then. Bye all. Don't forget ta give Merlin his lunch before ya come home."

"As if he'd allow me to forget. Especially considering he knows what his lunch is to be."

Eggsy laughed in agreement with that.
