It Must Have Stickers

A quick flip through the other pictures Daisy had provided confirmed they were indeed all there. The picture of Merlin and Daisy passed out together on Eggsy's bed had been chosen for Merlin's picture, while there was a lovely one of Daisy and Lancelot showing off their picnic dresses. The picture taken that morning of Daisy and Thomas had turned out very well, and the picture supplied of Bors...well at least it wasn't likely to scar any of the children that gazed upon it. The man didn't smile, but at least he wasn't glaring of holding a weapon in the picture. That was really the best they could have hoped for.

The final picture was, of course, of Daisy holding Mr. Fox.

Handing the pictures back to Daisy Harry asked her if she wanted him to write her name on the top of the poster board or in the middle. That had to be decided before they proceeded.

Wide eyed, Daisy gave him a look that said she had no idea what she wanted. And was expecting him to know how to proceed because she sure as hell didn't.

Right.

"Let's see, shall we?"

Thinking a visual was best, Harry asked for the pictures back and then motioned for Daisy to follow him over to the table where the poster board had been laid out. Kneeling down with Daisy hugging his side, Harry placed the pictures in the bottom two thirds. "We can do it like this, with the letters here, or-" Harry rearranged them so that they were all around with the middle empty, 'we could have the letters of your name here."

"Wike dat." Daisy decided, picking the second option after a moment or two of contemplation.

"Excellent choice. Now I'm going to write out the words in pencil, just in case, and then you can figure out which picture you want where, all right?"

"I'll gets the pencil."

It was in easy reach, but Harry allowed her to get it for him and thanked her profusely. It made her happy to help, as her beaming with pride made clear. And now with pencil in hand...well he was faced with the daunting task of bubble letters.

Surely she could just trace over his letters if he wrote the words out normally. His mother had actually made him take a calligraphy class back in the day, and while normally his handwriting wasn't anything to write home about he could, if he put effort into it, actually-nevermind. Daisy's project. And she could not consistently color between the lines, much less trace them perfectly. Bubble letters it must be.

Reminding himself, repeatedly, that it did not have to be perfect-far from it-Harry did his best version of bubble letters as he spelled out 'Daisy's Family'.

Far from his best work...but legible. And more importantly Daisy, when asked, nodded her approval.

"All right then, now you decide where you want your pictures to go around the letters, then we'll glue them into place."

"Kay."

This task took a great deal longer than his bubble letters, Daisy proving to be very particular about her photograph placement. Though at least she knew that she didn't want her pictures touching or covering the letters. She was even trying to balance out the placement too, which was a nice surprise.

Finally she had them where she wanted them.

"You're sure?"

"Yup."

Taking her at her word Harry retrieved the glue and then carefully applied it to the back of the photographs, one at a time. He got Daisy involved by having her hold down the photo to encourage it to stay in place and stick better. She liked that part.

Personally Harry thought she looked like she'd tried to do a chest compression and been frozen in place, but oh well. He couldn't argue that it probably would better ensure the pictures stayed in place once she stopped trying to force her will upon them.

"Excellent work." Harry assured her once that was done, the pictures hopefully well stuck in place. "Shall I go over the letters in black for you? Then you can do your decorating."

"I color them." She reminded him sternly.

"Yes. You will be doing the coloring. I promise."

Reassured, Daisy was content to supervise Harry drawing over the pencil with the marker Eggsy had provided and left out for the task. This took no time at all, and then Harry shifted over to give Daisy room to take over the rest of the project.

Or at least he didn't think there was anything else he needed to help with.

Pleased, Daisy thanked him and then got up and retrieved a container from the end of the table that Harry hadn't paid any attention to before.

Coming back over to his side Daisy proudly tipped the box to the side so that he could see what was inside. "My stickers!"

"Oh."

Stickers. Stickers she no doubt intended to scatter all over the available-and possibly unavailable-space on the poster board. Harry could see it vividly. And while he had promised himself he wouldn't curve her creativity or take over the project...

"Are you going to use those to frame the pictures?"

"Frame?"

"Yes. Like the pictures on the wall." Thankfully there was a painting in the room Harry could point to. "Are you going to put the stickers around the pictures?" It was thinking on the fly, but Harry thought that it would look better than the pictures and words being overpowered with smiley face and Disney princess stickers.

Suitably intrigued by this idea, Daisy nibbled on her bottom lip for a couple of minutes and then stated she would use the stickers to frame the pictures.

Thank Goodness.

"Ow's it goin in here, then?"

Looking over at Eggsy as his lover came into the room, Harry shot him what he hoped was a confident enough smile. "Very well. We have the pictures in place and Daisy has decided to use her stickers to frame them."

"Fancy. Wike on the wall." Daisy announced, pointing at the painting in case her brother didn't understand her artistic intentions.

"Oh yeah? You'll have the best one, won't ya, Luv."

"Uh huh."

Having come over, Eggsy crouched down on Harry's other side, the two of them bookended him.

"Nice bubble letters."

The amused look Eggsy shot him had Harry fighting down the instinct to defend his lettering. Which was obviously what Eggsy was aiming for, the little shite.

"Thank you."

"A man of many talents." Leaning in Eggsy nipped Harry's ear, making him jerk in surprised arousal. Not to mention embarrassment since Daisy was right there. "Ya should see your face right now, Harry."

"Behave. Especially with your friend in the house."

"Nah. No need. He figured it out right quick. Apparently it was written all over my face at lunch. He said as much when I went up ta check on him."

"Ah. And how did he take the realization?"

"Says it's okay cause you're legit gone on me."

"That's one way of putting it. And very true."

Harry leaned in and angled his head to meet Eggsy's kiss this time.

A kiss they very much enjoyed until Daisy broke it up because she needed help deciding which stickers should go with which person.

Sticker choosing proved to be an arduous task, but in the end the frames came into being. Merlin got teddy bears because Daisy was wearing her panda pajamas in the photo, while Lancelot got Elsa and Anna ones. She was a badarse girl too. Thomas got random Disney princesses because he made clothes, and the girls were all about their dresses, and Addison...well he got the coveted fox stickers because of Tally. Originally they'd thought the smiley face stickers to compensate for his lack of smiling, but in the end they all had to agree that the neon yellow faces didn't suit the man. Those stickers went instead to Daisy's picture with her mum. Finally, Mr. Fox was decorated with flowers and the best picture-that of the three of them-was encircled in hearts. Daisy insisted.

Project completed save for the coloring of the bubble letters, Harry was about to subtly question Eggsy as to whether it was all right for him to head back to the office or not-this had taken longer than he'd thought-when there came the sound of knocking at their front door. A brief glance in that direction, he wasn't expecting anything, and then Harry asked Eggsy if he'd ordered anything to be delivered to the house, the other man shaking his head in turn.

"Someone's here!" Daisy announced unnecessarily, tossing aside the marker she'd been holding back onto the table. "I get it?"

The odds of someone with evil intentions knocking-and now ringing the bell-were low, but still a possibility. Ergo...

"Eggsy and I will come with you."

Reassured that she was allowed-and had backup if needed-Daisy ran in that direction while Harry and Eggsy kept up with her as they all headed to see who was visiting.

The thought that it could be his mother flashed through Harry's mind, but surely the Fates wouldn't be that cruel. Or perhaps it was for the best if it was her, since at least he would be here to supervise rather than Eggsy be left to fend for himself against her intrusive questions.

It was not his mother at the door though, as they soon found out. But a deliveryman.

"Good afternoon, Gentlemen. Mademoiselle." A wink aimed in a giggling Daisy's direction, the man's accent making his French ancestry clear. "I have a delivery here for a Mr. Eggsy Unwin?"

"That's me. But I didn't order nothin."

"It is a gift from one of our regular customers."

"Oh. Ah. Thank you?"

"You are most welcome. I will go get it from the lorry, I just needed the door open as it requires both my hands to carry. One moment please."

"Do ya need help carryin it?" Eggsy offered. "Just gotta grab my trainers."

"No, no. Not necessary. Though most kind of you."

Turning around the man headed for the lorry parked nearby, Harry immediately recognizing the logo on the side immediately. "Ah. You are in for quite a treat, Eggsy."

"I am?"

"Yes. 'Paradis' is famous internationally for their food. Primarily they're hired to cater high profile events, but they also have some small shops that sell their products as well."

"Who do ya think sent it?"

"Someone who wants you to continue feeding them. And no, it wasn't me. Though I'm rather kicking myself for not thinking of it." He was already making a mental list of restaurants and such he should introduce Eggsy to when the opportunity arose. He needed to remember to do things just because, as a gentleman should show his appreciation for his lover all the time, not just when a commercial holiday that demanded it came around.

"Wot is it?" A big eyed Daisy wanted to know, the little girl pointing in the direction of the lorry.

An understandable question, Harry thought, as they were now able to see that the deliveryman was returning with what looked to be a sizable wooden tray in his hands, two separate or attached somehow wooden plates/bowls resting on it. The whole thing was encased in clear cellophane and tied at the top with colorful ribbons Daisy would no doubt love to have.

"Here we are, then. A grand feast in the making."

A grand feast indeed. The two separate square bowls, which themselves were divided in half, contained elegantly displayed meats in one, cheeses beside it. The second dish held sliced bread and crackers on the left, a mixture of nuts, grapes, and some sort of pate in its own little bowl in the other. A charcuterie platter fit for a king.

"I can't see." Daisy complained.

Picking her up with an apology, Harry let her see the treat that was in store for them.

Her response was completely in character.

"FOOD!"

Laughing, Eggsy agreed with her as he held out his hands to take the tray from the deliveryman, the surprise on his face at how heavy it was quite amusing.

"Why don't you take that into the dining room before you drop it. Can I sign for it or does Eggsy need to do it?"

"Mr. Unwin, I'm afraid."

"No probs, be right back." Eggsy called over his shoulder as he headed inside and out of view.

Having been waiting for this Harry set Daisy down and told her to follow her brother before pulling out his wallet, intending to tip the man. Eggsy had no idea just how prestigious and expensive Paradis was. Ergo the amount one normally tipped would-

The other man was holding up a hand to stop him before he could even open it. "No need, Sir. The tip was paid for as well."

"I see. Thank you. And please pass on my compliments to your coworkers. That all looked quite amazing."

"I can guarantee it will be."

Returning without Daisy-she was apparently guarding the food-Eggsy took the machine and stylus from the deliveryman and used it to sign off on the delivery. And then reached for his wallet as well.

"No need, Young Sir. It's already been paid for."

The look Eggsy sent in Harry's direction.

"It wasn't me." Thank goodness. "Apparently it was included in the overall bill."

Apparently not trusting him, Eggsy gave the deliveryman a questioning look, the man doing his best to hide his amusement as he stated that Harry's statement was accurate. And that he wasn't allowed to accept more money as tip. Though he thanked Eggsy for offering.

"Right. Okay. Hold on one minute."

And with that Eggsy dashed back into the house, leaving Harry to play host to the bemused deliveryman. Thankfully there was an obvious question Harry needed to ask, anyway.

"The packaging is, I presume, childproof?" If it wasn't, big lunch or not, Daisy would be trying to help herself while their backs were turned.

"Unless she has scissors, it should be fine."

"Good to know. Though as her hair implies, it wouldn't be the first time she got her hands on scissors when we weren't looking." And that being the case Harry put aside his manners for a moment and bending back through the doorway called out a warning to Daisy that she was NOT to open the package until he or Eggsy could help her.

"I KNOW!"

"The Little One, she keeps you on your toes, I see."

"That she does. Do you have any of your own?"

As it turned out the man had a son close to Daisy's age and another a couple years older. The two of them traded toddler stories until Eggsy reappeared with one of the cheap plastic containers he regularly put Harry and Merlin's lunches into.

"Here. My homemade chocolate biscuits. I'm told they're pretty brill."

"Oh. Merci beaucoup. I'm sure I will enjoy them very much."

Thanking him in turn Eggsy waved the man off and then together Harry and Eggsy headed inside to make sure that Daisy hadn't gnawed her way through the cellophane to get to the food.

It was a possibility.

)

Thankfully Daisy was impatiently waiting for them in the dining room, the little girl standing on a chair so that she could better see the prize in front of her. And no doubt plot what she was going to try and eat first, Harry mused to himself with a wide smile. The girl would make herself sick if they didn't limit her intake. But at least she'd left the packaging alone, nothing indicating that she'd unsuccessfully attempted to tear into it. Well...the ribbons had been tugged on a little, but she could have just been playing with them. He'd give her the benefit of the doubt.

"Can I have some Lunchable, peas?"

"Lunchable?" Harry repeated.

Having started on undoing the ribbons, Eggsy didn't look up as he explained. "She thinks it's like a grownup version of a Lunchable. Ya buy em for kids to take to school for lunch. It's got some meat, cheese, and crackers in em."

"Ah. Well, Daisy, that is actually called a charcuterie platter. A very fancy one."

Daisy's attempt at repeating the word-well Harry gave her points for her attempt, even if she did mangle it beyond all recognition. Nodding along like she'd at least come close, Harry asked Eggsy if he wanted him to go and find some scissors for him.

"Naw. I almost got it. I think. They didn't knot it all to hell like some do."

That being said Daisy was vibrating like an impatient spring by the time Eggsy got through and could hand her the ribbons to wave around for her amusement.

While she did that Eggsy reached in and retrieved the envelope that had been placed between the bowls and the cellophane, though he paused for a moment to study something.

"Those bowls and the tray, we get ta keep them too? They must have costed a pretty penny as is."

"They're all yours."

"Friggin A." Shaking his head in disbelief over there Eggsy lifted out the envelope and looked that over, turning it so that Harry could see it as the bewildered boy pointed to the fact that his name had been written across the surface with a fountain pen. By someone who had taken a class in calligraphy and loved his or her flourishes.

Doing his best to hide his amusement, Harry instead asked who it was from.

Carefully opening the envelope like he might plan to save it as some sort of keepsake, Eggsy withdrew the card made of obvious high-quality stock. The front featured the company's logo, and inside...

"Percival sent it. For all of us." Eggsy announced after reading whatever the inside of the card stated. "He wanted to thank us for yesterday. Fuck. I didn't even make anything special."

"It's not just the food he's thanking you for." Harry softly suggested. "You showed him care when he needed it. That meant far more, and was very obviously appreciated."
