Its jail time for Team Rocket and friends in:
#52: Jail Fail
At the city's jail, all of our heroes and villains were now standing inside a large single-room cell with a bunk bed and a toilet. The barred doors slowly close before them as the head security guard, a fat, pompous slob of a man, steps in front of their cell and sneers.
"Alright, law-breakers, this is where you will stay for next several weeks until your trial. We confiscated all of your belongings, but you are allowed one phone call to a lawyer or someone else who could possible aid you in your release. Now, behave yourselves, or else," the security guard warns them.
"Or else what?" Paul instigates, glaring at the guard.
"Or else I'll throw you all into the same cell occupied by our city's serial offender: 'Ben D'Over'," the security guards responds with a devious smile.
"….Never mind then…" Paul responds, promptly shutting up upon hearing the answer.
"Good!" the security guard says before leaving the area.
Everyone turns their back from the cell door and look at on another before sighing in unison.
"Well this is a fine mess! There goes our plan on getting out of this city!" Butch proclaims in a huff.
"Yeah, I can't believe this is happening to us," Serena comments in a sigh of embarrassment.
"Doesn't feel so hot being on the receiving end of the punishment, doesn't it?" James says to the other non-Team Rocket people, arms crossed.
"Hey, no need to rub it in. It's bad enough we're probably going to be labeled offenders. You three should be receiving a harsher sentence than us!" Ash responds in an accusatory tone.
"Nice try, but you and your pals are equally as guilty as we are! Don't forget you all tried to kill us on numerous occasions!" Jessie retorts.
"Okay everyone, this isn't the time to be fighting. Remember what the guard said earlier, we have one free phone call to someone who could potentially help us," Brock reminds everyone.
"I guess Brock's right, but who do we all know that will be able to bail us out of jail or rep us in court?" Meowth questions.
"Well, our boss Giovanni is out of the question. I think we pissed him off too many times for him to give a damn about us right now, and the fact that we at Team Rocket are a criminal organization, I don't think he'll go near the legal system with a ten-foot pole," Cassidy says, thinking out loud.
"Then there's Officer Jenny, but she probably won't come and help us because we're tied up with Team Rocket in this incident," Ash comments while in deep thought.
"I'd have my gang of Lucarios break us out of here, but the guard confiscated my Pokeballs, so that plan is shot," Paul says in frustration.
"Damn, there's gotta be someone we can contact to give us a hand that we haven't either angered or had a bad encounter with," Jessie says, arms crossed.
That's when Ash's Pikachu suddenly perks up with an idea.
"Pika! Pika Pika!" Pikachu says to everyone.
"Huh? Pikachu knows someone who could help us?" James says in surprise.
Without wasting any time, Pikachu alerts the guard, who then escorts Pikachu out of the cell for a few minutes to make that phone call, returning back to them after the call was completed.
"Well, who did he call?" Cassidy asks.
"I don't even know myself honestly. Hopefully its an attorney or someone who's an ace at their profession," Ash responds.
"Oh well, might as well make ourselves comfy in the meantime," Jessie says with a yawn, turning to the bunk bed and hopping into the lower bed.
"Good idea! I got top bunk!" Serena says, skipping over and leaping herself onto the rop bunk…
…THUNK!
…which immediately collapses onto Jessie below as soon as Serena gets on.
"Heheh, oops…" Serena says with a slightly horrified laugh as her mattress was starting to suffocate Jessie beneath it.
"It's going to be one hell of a stay here with these idiots…" Paul groans in response.
Pikachu has a plan to give them all their due justice! But can our heroes and villains last until their court appearance?
