As the shock of what they had just witnessed began to fade away into numbness, Alex pulled away from her brother. She looked at the Golden Trio to find Harry watching her with concern. She averted her eyes as the memory of them holding hands behind the pumpkins returned to her.

"AH! He bit me, Scabbers bit me!" Alex looked at Ron as he stared at his bleeding finger in surprise. The surprise was quickly replaced by panic as he watched his eat scurry off in the opposite direction. He charged after his rat, Hermione and Harry quickly running after them. Alex looked at Justin who nodded before they both followed after the three friends.

"Hold on Alex, that's the Womping Willow!" Justin warned his sister before pulling her back. She looked at Hermione and Harry, who were standing only a few feet away from them. They looked on in horror as Ron stood under the wimping willow, his rat in his arms.

"Ron, run!" Harry yelled.

Ron looked at his friends on panic. "Look behind you, it's the grim!" The grim? Alex looked at her brother. She had almost forgot about hers and Harry's tea leaves.

Alex and Justin turned around and spotted the rabid black dog standing a few feet away from them, snarling at Ron. Alex screamed as the dog charged towards them. She watched in fear as the dog made its way past them and straight towards Ron. Ron screamed as the dog rammed into him and he fell to the floor screaming. The dog chomped down onto his ankle and dragged him towards a door under the Womping Willow as Ron pleaded for help. Alex attempted to run towards them but was quickly pulled back by Justin as the Womping Willow swang at them.

"Justin, we need to help them!" She yelled as she watched Hermione and Harry attempt to run towards the tree. She pulled her wand out as she looked at her brother.

"Do it! Now Alex!" Justin nodded as she said a spell under her breath to flash the four of them next to the hole that Ron disappeared into. Hermione and Harry looked around them in surprise. "No time to explain, we have to help Ron!" Justin said quickly. The two nodded before they each took turns jumping into the hole.

Alex jumped in last, the others breaking her fall as she made her way to the floor. As her body hit the ground, she looked under her where Justin, Harry and Hermione were groaning in pain. "Alex, will you please get off us?"

"Sorry..." she said awkwardly as she stood up. "Where are we?

"Look, it's a trap door." Hermione pointed as she got up. They made their way over and Harry pulled the foot open. Justin pulled himself up first before he and Harry helped Hermione up. Harry followed after. Halfway up the trap door, Harry stopped and extended a hand to Alex to help her. She smiled, accepting his help as they entered together.

"Now where are we?" She frowned as she looked around them. They were in a very worn-out looking building filled with cobwebs and dust.

"Isn't this the shrieking shack?" Hermione asked. Harry nodded.

Their attention went to the direction of the stairs as Ron's screams could be heard from the second floor. They looked at each other in concern before Justin and Harry slowly made their way up the stairs, Hermione cautiously following after them. Something felt weird. She didn't know what, but there was something.

"Come on, Alex." Hermione whispered as she looked back at her. She nodded, abandoning her concern as she followed the three up the stairs. The farther up they got, the louder they could hear Ron's screams. They moved up the stairs as quickly as they could without alerting the animal that had taken Ron. Once they reached the second floor, they made their way towards Ron's screams. They found Ron seated on a bed with Scabbers in his arms. Alex could see the sheer fear on his face.

"It's a trap, he's not a dog!" Ron screamed as long as he caught sight of his friend.

As he said this, door creaked behind Alex and she turned around as she felt two arms grab her shoulders and pull her back. Alex panicked for only a moment before she realized it was Justin. When she looked towards the door, her eyes fell on a badly-groomed man with a dark beard and long dark hair. His black robes were dirty and tattered. As Alex stared at this strange man, she couldn't help but think he looked familiar.

"If you're going to kill Harry, you'll have to kill me first!" Hermione jumped in front of Harry.

"There is only one person who will die today!" The man yelled as he took a step closer. Alex looked at Justin in panic to find him frozen in place, staring at the man. She nudged him but he didn't respond as he his eyes stayed glued to the man's face. Alex looked around, noticing the different expressions on everyone's faces. Hermione's of worry, Ron's of fear, and Harry's of absolute rage. Was she the only one who has no clue who this man was?

Harry pushed Hermione aside and lunged towards the man. They both fell to the floor, Harry sitting over the man, his wand pointed at him. The man laughed at Harry, taunting him.

"We need to stop him." Justin whispered. Alex looked at her brother in disbelief.

"Have you lost your marbles, Justin? Why would we do that?"

Justin ignored Alex as he slowly reach into his pocket. Before she could see what he was doing, the door flew open with a bang and Alex looked over to see Lupin standing at the door with his wand pointed at Harry.

"Expelliarmus!"

Harry's wand flew from his hand. He jumped up and moved in front of Alex while Professor Lupin stared down the strange man, his wand pointed at him.

"Well, well Sirius."

Alex swung her head in Professor Lupin's direction. This man had the same name as her father. But it couldn't be him. Her father had died at the hands of Voldemort when she was a baby.

Alex stared at the two men, waiting for someone to speak. A smile appeared on their professor's face as he lowered his wand and opened his arm. The man pulled him in for an embrace, both men chuckling.

As they pulled apart, the man spoke. "I found him, I found him so let's kill him!"

"No! I trusted you and you were his friend all this time!" Hermione yelled as she pushed herself to the front of their group. "He's a werewolf, that's why he's not around during the full moon! I've known since that day Professor Snape assigned us the essay on werewolves!" Lupin looked at Hermione with an impressed smile.

"Enough of this! Come on! Let's kill him!" The man complained as Hermione planted herself protectively in front of Harry.

Lupin turned in his direction and held up a finger. "Wait!"

"No waiting! I've waited twelve years... in Azkaban!" He and Lupin stared at each other intensely. Finally Lupin nodded and handed his wand to the man.

"Wait, at least until Harry gets to know why-"

"I know why!" Harry yelled as he pushed past Hermione. "You betrayed my parents and your own wife. You're the reason they're dead!" Alex's heart dropped. She stepped back, clutching on to the wall in surprise to support herself. It couldn't be. This couldn't be the same Sirius. Because that would make him... and that would mean he isn't dead. Is this what everyone was hiding from them. Was their father a murderer?

"No Harry, he's not the one who betrayed your parents, it's a lie! The one who did betrayed your parents we thought was dead until recently." He approached Harry with a look of seriousness. Alex looked at her brother to see him still frozen in shock.

"Peter Pettigrew! He's alive and in this room RIGHT now!" Sirius yelled, looking around until his eyes fell on Ron. He made his way towards Ron with a vengeful look on his face, wand pointed directly at him.

"Expelliarmus!"

They all turned their attention to the door where Professor Snape stood, holding his wand directly at Sirius. Sirius turned towards him with a smile. The two began to exchange angry words as everyone else looked on. Alex looked impatiently at her brother, eager to understand the truth. She was surprised to see him out of his spell of shock and instead slowly reaching for his wand.

"Expelliarmus!"

The spell hit Professor Snape, causing him to crash backwards through the wall. They all stared at the now-broken wall in shock as Hermione scolded Justin for attacking a professor. Taking advantage of the momentary distraction, Harry took the wand from Justin and walked towards Sirius.

"Tell me about Peter Pettigrew!" He looked between Professor Lupin and Sirius angrily.

Fear surged through Alex as she watched Harry point the wand at Sirius. She attempted to reach for her own wand but was stopped by her brother, who grabbed onto her arm. He shook his head at her before turning his attention back to Harry.

"Peter Pettigrew is dead, you killed him!" Harry continued.

Lupin sighed as he moved closer to Harry. "That's what we thought, until you told me about the map that night."

"Then the map is lying!" Harry yelled.

"The map never lies! Peter Pettigrew is alive and he's right there!" Sirius pointed at Ron who looked more fearful than ever. "That rat is Peter Pettigrew!"

Ron moved Scabbers closer to his chest. "That can't be right, Scabbers has been in my family for…"

Sirius interrupted him as he moved up to Ron. "Thirteen years, longer than the normal garden rat? And he's missing a toe. All that was left of Peter Pettigrew was a finger!" Sirius quickly snatched Scabbers away from Ron and threw him on the floor. The rat attempted to scurry away as Sirius reached for Harry's wand and chased the rat. As the rat attempted to jump into a hole in the wall, a owl hit him. They watched as the rat grew and morphed, it's limbs growing until a large, rat-like man appeared before them.

"Remus, Sirius, my old friends!" He tried to run but Lupin and Sirius stopped him. He turned around and smiled when he saw Harry. "Harry look at you, you look like your father, he and I were the best of friends you know…" Before he could finish, Sirius and Lupin lunged at him angrily. Peter attempted to run away but Sirius followed him with a wand in hand while Lupin blocked his escape.

"You don't dare talk to Harry! You sold out his mother and father to Voltemort!" Lupin and Sirius now both had wands pointed at him.

"Stop!" Harry came between them. "Stop, don't kill him. We'll take him to the castle and have the dementors take him. Don't put his dirty blood on your hands!"

Sirius and Lupin stared at Harry for some time before both nodding at him in agreement. Hermione joined them, pointing her wand at Peter while the two made their way over to Ron.

"I'm sorry about your leg." Sirius directed to Ron. "I was going for the rat." Ron only nodded in response

Sirius' eyes scanned the rest of the room until his eyes fell on Alex. He paused, a look of surprise overcoming his face as he stared at her. Alex stared back at him, in loss of words. She could feel the tears threatening to fall from her eyes at he watched her with confusion. Lupin approached them with a smile as he slung an arm around his shoulder.

"Sirius, I'm sure you're probably wondering who these two are." Sirius nodded at his friend. His eyes moving to Justin. "This is Alexandra and Justin Russo, or as you last knew them as, Alexandra and Justin Black." Alex watched as multiple expression of shock, joy and confusion passed over Sirius' face. Unable to hold back anymore, Alex let the tears in her eyes flow freely down her cheek.

"This is my little Alexandra and Justin? They've grown so much. And Alexandra... she looks just like Arianna, so beautiful and so grown up." His voice cracked.

No longer able to control her joy, Alex dove forward and wrapped her arms around the man, burying her face in his chest as she let the tears spill freely. He was alive! Their father was actually alive! Alex could barely believe it as she felt her father's arms wrap around her body and he hugged her tighter. She never believed in her wildest dreams that she would be hugging her father. He was supposed to be dead.

When they finally pulled apart, her father took her hands and took a moment to really look at his daughter. Alex smiled at him, taking him in. Besides one really old photo of him from their mother's journal, Alex had never seen another photo of their father. She envied her brother for the one memories he could recall of their father holding him when he was a toddler. Justin! She quickly turned to look at her brother. He stood a few feet away, watching the two tearfully.

"Come here, my boy!" Their father motioned towards Justin as he released her hands. Justin came forward, hugging their father. Alex found herself crying all over again as she watched them embrace.

"Er, sorry to interrupt this family reunion but we really must get Ron to a doctor." Hermione said as she pointed at Ron, who was quietly clutching his leg in pain.

"Ah, yes she is right." Lupin stepped forward. "Justin, Harry, help Ron out of here. As for you Hermione, you and I will take Peter with our wands."

Alex watched as they went off to their separate tasks. She stood quietly to the side as they made their way towards the door. It wasn't until she was waiting by the door for Harry and Justin to help Ron out the door, that Alex realized that her father and her were the only ones without something to do. Her father motioned her to join him as they followed the others out the door.

"So, Alexandra…"

"Alex." She corrected him. "I don't really go by Alexandra. It's kind of a mouthful."

"Right, Alex." He nodded with a smile. "All the terrible things you've heard about me all these years-"

"We didn't." She said quickly. He looked at her with a raised eyebrow. "We only heard good things about you. Dad... I mean Uncle Jerry used to read us stories from mom's journal. From when you were in Hogwarts. And we grew up in the US so we weren't really exposed to the news that went on here. We only knew great things about you. Well... if you consider the trouble you and your friends to be great. I think they were great." Alex rambled nervously.

Sirius smiled at her. "I told her everything we got into. She wrote every story down because she wanted our kids to hear all of them. I didn't even know we were going to be married, let alone having children. But your mother knew. Remus told me you looked just like your mother. I couldn't believe anyone could be as beautiful as her but he proved me wrong." They stopped as they arrived outside. "I woke up this morning thinking I was finally going to get my hands on the man who took everything from me. I never expected it to be one of the best days of my life."

"Dad…" Alex looked at Sirius.

"You called me dad. I never thought I'd ever have the opportunity to hear my daughter call me 'dad'. I was lucky to hear them once out of Justin before I left you two, but you, you were so little."

"I've always called you dad. Almost every night before I went to bed, I would have Justin tell me one of the stories in mom's journal. It would make me happy because I could think of you. It made me feel closer to you. Mom rarely wrote about herself in her journals so all I knew was my dad. Growing up, the only thing I knew was… that my dad was my hero."She admitted

"Alex." Sirius smiled at her. "It makes me extremely happy to know I have importance in your life. Besides revenge, you and your brother were the only other thing that invaded my mind in Azkaban. I promise everything will change now. I will be the father I couldn't be till now."

"Do you mean it? We are going to finally be a family?" Alex asked her father hopefully.

"Can I take that as a yes?"

"You can take that as a heck yes!" She threw her arms around around her father's neck, hugging him tightly.
