Chapter 6- The Breaking Point

['We have opened Pandora's box, there's no coming back after that. I presume you already know that, Issei. No matter what's coming for us, we will not lose ourselves.'] The Dragon's voice resonated, implying that dark days were ahead. The boy too knew that, all the progress they made, the precautions they took, came out to be meaningless at the end. The World showed him that, he wouldn't acquire the life he desired.

It shouldn't have been that hard, like the old times, then again, he wasn't able to mask his presence under the noses of Heiresses. One confrontation against a supernatural creature was all it took, for him to be known. Not to mention that If Kirin was indeed in Valerie's peerage, they could easily connect the dots. Their carelessness was what brought the things into this state, with Ddraig causing malfunctions on his Artifact. Issei going against a Fallen Angel on one versus one, the Youkai tailing them, negotiation against Azazel. Awakening Laira's hereditary powers, the clash against Irina.

All of them had a hand in the situation, but ultimately, it was his fault to let his guard down. To complicate things, if he was on the hit list of the Christianity, he would be exposed as The Red Dragon Emperor, which would make things even harder, the only option would be leaving once more. No matter what he did, it always led him to expose his identity, in a way or another. Even if he was able to convince Kuroka, which was only because they shared a similar fate and she too knew how it was to be hunted by everyone, he couldn't make an agreement with Kirin, due to the fact that he just whispered a name that had the possibility of being responsible for his life to take a turn for the unexpected.

As the Sekiryuutei, he was just delaying the inevitable. Sooner or later, Hakuryuukou would show up, no doubt their rivalry would cause harm to everybody around them. From what he heard about the predecessors, the Dragons would often go out of boundaries to hurt each other, they would even take entire families as hostages, not the brightest memory of Ddraig, shared with the fourth strongest Sekiryuutei, Sheida. The guy had burned down entire villages during his standoff against the Vanishing Dragon, for his defense, he had already lost his mind as the side effect of Juggernaut Drive, a move that even Issei couldn't use properly without sacrificing his life force.

Even if he did, Albion would've found a way to surpass them, it was the thing between their rivalry. The Heavenly Dragons' initial goal was to keep on getting stronger, together, without the use of their characteristic existence ceasing Flames, which, in an unexplainable way, didn't work on either of them. Ddraig's Boost and Albion's Divide were the prime examples of that, as they've gained those aspects throughout their spars. It was the hosts that turned the whole thing into enmity towards the Dragons.

'Hey Ddraig, do you think that I actually have the right to live a peaceful life?' The brunette's voice echoed through, leaving a sorrowful Dragon behind. It was as clear as daylight that he did, if not for the dragon residing in him, he could very well obtain it.

['Everybody does partner, everybody does. Even you, an exception of creation, have the right to live your life wholely. Not as the Red Dragon Emperor, not as the last of your family, not even as the last heir of your house. As Hyoudou Issei, the kind humble human I have known, you ultimately are entitled to realize your desires'] His partner's reply came quickly, bringing a smile on the face of the sullen boy. Welsh Dragon was right, as a human, he could live his life, without interfering with Supernatural.

Trailing their path, the duo continued their exchange of words. Issei knew that he was absolutely screwed in this position, in some way or another, he wouldn't be able to reach his goal. On the contrary, after this day, he would attract even more opponents, obstacles, and most importantly, boring negotiations. They would be required to choose a side among the 3 Factions, Devil's wouldn't greet him that much, considering he is a half-breed. Angels are out of question, as he is an unholy being. On the other hand, he didn't see any reason to not join Fallens, he had already established connections with Azazel and surely would do favors for him.

"Well well, ain't this the one and only Sekiryuutei. Always a pleasure to see you, Issei." The boy in question raised his head, trying to find the source of this exclamation. He had figured it out that his facade was blown up, but definitely didn't expect that he was already exposed as the Red Dragon Emperor, unless… it was him.

Cao Cao, descendant of the man from the Three Kingdoms era. His black hair dancing gracefully against the wind, his gakuran suit embracing his fit yet strong body. Possessor of the first and the strongest Longinus, Spear of Destiny, True Longinus. His ocean blue eyes fixated at the boy before him, examining carefully. It was clear that he had no intent to fight, nevertheless the brunette was cautious, Cao Cao wouldn't show up in the human world like that, especially not in Kuoh.

"Cao Cao… Care to explain what in the world are you doing here? If you're here for the rematch of the fight 6 years ago, I have more urgent business than that. Unless you have a death wish, I suggest that you should stop calling me Sekiryuutei." The threatening gaze aimed at the Holy Spear, Issei made his point stand. He could've begun his preparations, but in the human world, he was just Issei, striking a fight with a Longinus user would do him no good.

"You misunderstood me, Issei. I'm not here for you, but rather, to pay respects to someone I hold in high regards, I think you know who that is. However, my offer still stands. I would very much like to see you, the Red Dragon Emperor, on our ranks." As usual, Cao Cao had again tried to manipulate him. He should've understood by now that he had no business with the Khaos Brigade, at least the current regime.

"This boy? Is this the Red Dragon Emperor you talked highly about? No offense Cao Cao but this human feels miserable, I can't believe that you've lost against him. I can't feel an ounce of power radiating in him" The interrupter had outright ridiculed him for how he looks. Upon reading his signature, Issei understood that he was a pure blooded devil, a strong one at that. Messy blonde hair, turquoise eyes that glared at him, chiseled jawline, the smug look on his face, a red plain shirt that embraced his chest, puffing with each inhale, combined with a dark pitch jeans. Everything about the boy was screaming pride, too bad that he was no match for him, would've made a good rival if he were.

"Looks can be convincing, Razeth. I can firmly assure you that he is indeed Sekiryuutei. If I were you I would watch my words, after all, he can end your existence, not even your hereditary strength can save you." Cao Cao immediately replied, reaffirming the man about the situation they were in. The last bit intrigued Issei, hereditary strength, every devil family had their own, so if he were really counting on them, it wouldn't matter. The shattering strength he had would be enough, even without the Dark Slayer.

"Hmph, fine. Also, don't dare you to call me by that name. I am Kiriya, Razeth's been long gone." It seems that the intruder was not too fond of being called like that. Kiriya fired up his powers, surprisingly, it came in the form of flames. It wasn't that hard to identify them, not as strong as Issei's, but definitely fearsome, a Phoenix' flames. The Blondie kept control and adjusted his crimson trench coat.

"A Phenex huh. Word of advice boya, you can't even dream of hurting me with those blazes. After all, Ddraig is known for his God-incinerating flames, and as his host, I have an affinity for fire. You have a long road ahead of you if you want to keep your ground against people like me, and by all means, I know that this won't be our last encounter. Keep on becoming strong for the sake of those you hold in high regards, Razeth." As the senior, Issei gave his advice, earning a glare from the boy due to exclaiming an unwanted name in his speech. Even in a state like this, he could keep calm, the most dangerous aspect of Issei was the fact that he rarely lost his cool during a battle, being ridiculed meant nothing to him, cause in the end, he would show up as the victorious.

"I don't need advice from people like you, but I'll treasure it, Sekiryuutei. I look forward to have a clash with you." Again, his pride got the better of him. Issei could understand it if he were that much powerful, but from what he can see, Kiriya was on par with a high class devil, which meant that if he wanted to have a fair fight with Issei, he needed to train a lot.

"I pray that we stay on friendly terms, Cao Cao. However, if you keep on getting on my way…" The brunette kept on his tracks, ignoring the duo.

"I will make sure that the mistake I have made won't repeat itself again. The only thing that's been keeping me from eliminating you is due to the fact that you've helped my family a great deal in the past." It was more of a promise than a threat, which Cao Cao knew that he, as the Sekiryuutei, would absolutely deliver. Their previous clash still lingered in his mind, the horrific strength he had shown was unparalleled, a monstrous amount of unshakable will he wielded. Truly, Issei was more akin to a monster than a rival when he was provoked.

It indicated the end of their conversation, as they've separated their ways. Issei went on to confront the newly reincarnated devil, Cao Cao and his acquaintance, however, kept on their tracks to pay respects to someone Cao Cao had known formerly, his first mentor, Dianne, maybe the only connection he and Issei shared, their bond with the previous user of Dark Slayer.

'I swear if Cao Cao tries anything funny, I am gonna jab that prick with his own spear.' To say that Issei was furious would be on spot, as he thought that he could find an exit out of the situation he was in, that Chin Chin showed up and literally demolished everything. Hell, if he was being tailed, Devils were going to alarm their superiors. Why? Cause Cao Cao was being sought with red notice by the Three Factions, being seen with him was equal to being chased down by the Interpol.

['Partner, you need to calm down. Nothing's going to happen, nobody's watching you. It was just a twist of fate that you encountered him, it's not like you've arranged a meeting with him, is it?"] Again, Ddraig tasked himself with the mission to calm his host down. The Dragon too wasn't fond of Cao Cao and his goals, but he knew that Issei would rather die than to serve them.

'It's not him that I'm concerned about, Ddraig. Everything lapses over and over and I can't even think of how to deal with them. Like, even if I somehow get out of this situation, there's still the issue that Laira is going to be noticed by the Devils. The Governor-General of Grigori will pay me a visit, Cao Cao has some unknown plans regarding Kuoh. At this rate it wouldn't be surprising for White One to show up.' The boy voiced his concerns, which Ddraig had no choice but to agree. When he thought about it like that, Issei was right to be anxious. However, that didn't give him the right to give up, no matter what happens, they will chase the light, to live their life better.

['Look, Issei. I get it okay, I really do. You don't want to live that horrific nightmare again, and neither do I. That's why we shouldn't question our actions, the things we do for the sake of being hidden. Things happen, people get upset, feel deceived. The thing is, we simply have to carry on. You and I have experienced a lot, and believe me when I say this boy. You deserve to live.'] The Dragon reassured him about their objective, the sacrifices they had to do.

They had been interrupted yet again, but this time, it was from someone they expected to see. Kirin Satou, faking a cough and expecting the boy before him to catch up. Upon seeing him, Issei embraced him in a tight hug, so relieved to see him well and healthy. Really, nothing would make him feel that way, except the people he cares about.

"I'm so glad to see you, dude. Thanks for answering my call again, I suppose you have so many questions regarding my behaviour on the call. I promise that I will answer them all, but first, let's settle down. We have so much to discuss." Issei showed a gentle smile, which Kirin appreciated. Like he said, there was so much to discuss yet so little time.

The duo had made their way to one of the benches, with Kirin still doubting his actions, his glare still intact, tightening his grip on the scarf that surrounded his neck. He didn't know if he could trust Issei, and that was a first in their brothership. Both of the boys felt an immeasurable amount of nervousness inside them, Issei didn't know where to start, Kirin had his doubts regarding Issei's connection with Supernatural. Nevertheless, the meeting would be futile if they kept staring at each other, so Issei began.

"Shoot away, bro, ask me anything you want. May Bro be my witness, I will only tell the truth." Preaching a verse from the Broble, Issei wanted him to take the lead. As far as he is concerned, Kirin should've gutted him on the spot, which wouldn't be that shocking actually. Issei had his reasons too, they wouldn't go back on each other in normal circumstances.

"Okay… First of all, what is wrong with you? How in the hell have you heard of that name? Do you have something to do with Fallen Angels? Are you an agent just like Yuuma?" Understandably, the boy bombarded him with questions, thankfully he had answers, otherwise Isssi could never convince him.

"Nah, nothing's wrong with me. You and I are alike more than you think Kirin, especially after your reincarnation, I would've given everything I have for you to not get caught in Supernatural's wind. I've failed though and I don't know if you have that in yourself to forgive me." The boy before him understood from his tone that he was apologetic, the feeling was mutual though, he would do the same for his brother if such case were to happen. Not giving him a chance to speak, Issei continued.

"As for your questions, I have come into contact with Raynare just today, shortly after she decided that I was a threat for Grigori. To keep it short, I simply handed her back to the Fallens, struck a deal with Azazel and wanted to check up on you." Even If Kirin tried to find any traces of dishonesty, he would find none. The way he put it was enough for him to be convinced, there were many holes that were in need of explanation, however, the night is still young.

"I get that, thanks for taking care of her on my behalf. I would've preferred to settle the score between us, but in my current state, I know that I wouldn't stand a chance. I owe you big, man." Putting a hand on his shoulder, Kirin shared his thoughts. He squeezed his shoulder lightly, implying him to continue.

"You must be wondering, how did I end up in this mess? Well actually, saying since my birth would be sufficient. I have no desire to keep you in the shadows, but I seek a deal. What I am going to tell you is a secret between us, hence no one knows what I truly am. You can keep this one secret from your master, am I wrong?" The condition was simple, in order for Issei to explain himself, Kirin had to keep his mouth shut, which he had no qualms of.

"Before I begin, I ask for two other conditions though. You may answer it directly or indirectly, and as my promise, I will tell every single detail you're curious of. First one is rather simple, was it Gremory or Lucifer?" Eliminating the third Devil family, Issei straightforwardly asked. He knew on princip that Sitri had no room for another Servant, after Genshirou's reincarnation.

"The Latter, actually. After my initial death, I had asked for another chance at life, Valerie miraculously heard my prayers and granted me that right by transforming me into a Devil. I don't mind being a devil, it's rather fun and captivating. I have met with people that I admire and idolize, speaking of which, I am still in doubt as to how did you manage to blackmail Kuroka. Does it have something to do with your charisma or her personal issues?" Issei could understand his concern for his fellow member, glad that he didn't do anything quite like that. Only a little chat with her was efficient.

"I see… I take it that she's treating you well, which is something I'm grateful for. You should not fret Kirin, if anything happens, you can drop by and tell me the problem. I will take care of the issue. On Kuroka's matter, I can assure you that nothing like that happened, on the contrary actually. It seems that she knows the life of a stray, hence we share some commonalities, I simply asked her to cover me up. From the looks of it, she did." Issei was relieved to hear that, it meant a great deal and would absolutely make it up to the Nekoshou.

"Ah… That's great to hear man. If it were to be something else, I would absolutely stand up for her. Not just because she's my friend, but also I care a great deal for her. As mischievous as she may be, Kuroka is still someone fragile, I can't let ya hurt her. I know about her story, but without her permission, I won't tell you what exactly took place." Reassuring his stand, Kirin's eyes blazed against the cold pit of Issei's. Happy to know that his friend was no different from the time he was human to this day, the brunette smiled brightly.

"Understandable, rest assured I am not that curious and would never force it out of her. Here comes the big deal, actually one of the reasons I'm curious about your well being. Do you happen to possess a Sacred Gear, Kirin?" Now that Kirin was proud, to be able to control the Holy Flames of Eden as a Devil, was truly a fearsome ability. His grin continued to spread each second, with the boy before him questioning the former's sanity.

"I do, Issei. I am the current host of Incinerate Anthem, the holy cross. I have been informed that it's one of the Thirteen Longinus, capable of injuring even Gods, much more specifically effective against unholy beings such as Devils. The primary reason for Raynare to target me was just to get rid of me before I snitch away to Heaven or Underworld." Issei nodded in agreement, the reason alone was good as any. He knew it firsthand how it is to be targeted just because you happen to carry an uniquity.

"I take it that you're making steady progress with that battle maniac by your side. Nevertheless, I'm glad that you have something in your arsenal to defend yourself. I'm done for now, it's time to answer your questions. If any detail boggles your mind, let me know and I'll clarify it." From Kirin's perspective, Issei was unusually not so surprised to hear that he possessed a Longinus. Many people would be shocked on sight to encounter a Longinus user, let alone finding out that said friend was by your side for more than a year. One sentence intrigued him though.

"Battle Maniac…How did you..? Just… nevermind. First, how did you know all of this? I'm pretty sure that there ain't any kind of humane sources you've gotten by luck. Hell, If there were, I'd have already gotten my hands on 'em by now. I want you to explain everything from the beginning, no details left over, am I clear?" The way Kirin put it left no room for him to argue, well, he kind of owed an explanation. It's not everyday that you answer a call from your friend, saying a name that makes you somehow associated with his death and all.

"Riiight… Anyways long story short; Devil Father, Human Mother, fall in love after their initial skirmish and prejudice against each other. Conceive 2 children, a boy and a girl, those children respectively bear the characteristics of their parents. Father gets supposedly executed in the Underworld for his crimes, mother meets her creator shortly after, daughter gets kidnapped, leaving only the boy. And plot twist, I happen to be that boy." Pretty fast, nonchalant and on point explanation if he had ever done one. He could care less though, it was the third time in the same day he had told his life story.

"You haven't told me anything about you being an orphan, dude…." Now Kirin felt, sorrowful. If he were to judge Issei from the way he behaved, he could've guessed that he was from a loving family, having a great life and living the moment. He knew that Issei wasn't too fond of talking about their families, when he approached him about the issue, Issei just waved him off, now he knew the reason.

"I haven't because why would I? I'm already over it and I don't wish to speak about it unless I have no other choice, false hope leads to unwanted circumstances, after all. Ah, I should probably fill you in about my heritage. Up for another very detailed information?" Waiting a sign of confirmation from him, Issei gazed at his eyes. Thankfully, he made his curiosity very clear about his private life.

"Okay, I presume that you know all about the Great War and Devilish Civil War, so I'mma skip those. My father is Euclid Lucifuge, the last heir to the Lucifuge household, the most loyal servants to House of Lucifer. He has always been a man of his pride and honor, thereby he stood by Rizevim Livan Lucifer's side in the War, the Old-Satan Faction. Until the official truce, he had been at his Master's side. After the War had ended, with both sides suffering heavy casualties, my father was banished from entering the Underworld ever again." Issei inhaled a deep one, no matter how much he said to himself that he was over it, there was this feeling that resurfaced every time he opened himself to someone about this. The feeling of longing, now much more powerful due to the years passed by.

"By that time, my father and my mother had been there for each other, with my mother being sent as a voluntary force from the Khaos Brigade to support the Old-Satan Faction. After being expelled from their respective sides, they had decided to settle down and formed a family in the Human World, Kuoh specifically. That event had happened over 20 years ago, 2 years before I was born."

"As for my mother's identity, she was known as Dianne Hyoudou. I had always thought of her as a normal human, before I learnt about her affiliation with Khaos Brigade. Anyways, we were like your usual family, with the exception that my father insisted I should know about the Supernatural whereas my sister shouldn't, as a means to protect her from any danger should such a case happen. Seven years after they'd settled down, a message from Underworld made its way."

"My father was to be captured as a PoW and executed, for the War Crimes he had committed during the Civil War. Against our harsh protests, especially my sisters and mine, Father left us indefinitely. He knew that if he hadn't, they would capture us as well. I held a great deal of grudge towards him for that, but now I understand his decision briefly."

"After this event, our family began to crumble. Because with my father's absence, nothing would be the same ever again, pretty cliche amirite? Well I'd wish that was just a cliche, but the truth is pretty sharp ya know. Anyways, my mother spent her remaining days on constant edge, so did we as well. We were expecting something like a trap or sudden attack at midnight but those rarely happened."

"Instead, they decided to meddle with my sis, who's 2 years younger than me by the way. Constant back and forth and they've finally kidnapped her, which was a blunder if you ask me. This one event completely snapped what was left of Mom's sanity, as understandably. She chased after them, wanting to end this once and for all, which she succeeded in. Even if she was a human, she was still a mother and you know the phrase, Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Her love towards us was so great that she delivered her promise on exterminating what was left of Khaos Brigade."

"Unfortunately, every action has a consequence. In order to protect us, my mother sacrificed a great deal of sanity and thus; became someone that I don't know. She still had the caring and loving gaze of her, but you know when someone's undergone such a drastic change that you would be surprised to hear that they were indeed the same person. Roughly after 4 years from Father's demise, my mother passed away from heart failure at the young age of 33, leaving behind me as the only successor of the legacy." With that, Issei finished his behalf of the conversation. His bangs served as a means to cover his welled up eyes, the aura around him became destructive and depressive.

The boy before him, on the other hand, was trying to comprehend the information he had just acquired. Issei being a pure-blooded devil, a Lucifuge, eternal servants to Lucifer bloodline, his rough childhood and the trauma he was burdened to carry. Losing every single of his family members at such a young age. Despite all the odds, he managed to live, to keep that damned smile on his face, defying every single event from corrupting him. Truly, he had suffered a lot and thanks to that, he can now stand up for himself, to bow no one.

"Bro… I don't know what to say… honestly. I must've made you recall some… gruesome events… If there is anything that I can do, please let me know, anything I will do for my brother." Issei lifted his head up, only to see a determined look on his friend's face. He would be lying if he said that he didn't like that look, made him remember the times he still had the will to go on, for the sake of everybody around him.

"I-I'd said that I desire only one thing, Kirin. Solitude and peace, as I've told Kuroka. I don't want to be dragged to this mess again, I've finally found my long awaited peace and I intend to keep it that way. However, as you can guess, I won't back down from anything if it's necessary to keep the ones I love safe." Issei began to stutter, which wasn't a good sign. The stress' toll already affected him, he had to rest before he collapsed in the middle of a street.

"Anyhin' for my bro." Even if it meant lying to Valerie, Kirin was determined to fulfill Issei's wish, which sparkled lights in the former's eyes. It seems that he had gambled all of his luck to be that convincing, especially for two people that were in the same peerage. They could cover each other though, that wasn't his problem.

"I'm glad t-that we could reach an agreement, K-Kirin. I have to take my leave now, it has b-been a long day and I can't w-wait to embrace the softness of my bed." The brunette hurriedly excused himself, the symptoms were already here, sweat in his brows, stuttering, rapid eye movements and lastly, irregular heartbeat . Due to the negative feelings that have been building in himself, Issei was forced to end the conversation and make his way towards his home before anything happened.

'This is, by far the most ridiculous thing I have ever experimented on in my life. The patterns, the sheer demonic energy surging from the blade, the undeniable similarity to the Mythic Blade. It has to be some kind of mistake, last time I'd checked, there hadn't been any direct descendants of the Legendary Dark Knight. The last one had been spotted 20 years ago, at the brink of the 'Devilish Civil War'. There's a great difference though, the blade seems more… I can't explain it… Like it has been tarnished from the lack of use. Nevertheless, It's confirmed that this is indeed Yamato.' Azazel had been experimenting on the katana for at least an hour now. He couldn't believe that they'd found another one, in such a short notice nonetheless. The Governor's greatest fear had come out true, another champion of Sparda had appeared.

'If he has any idea how to use this blade, there's only a moment that he begins wreaking havoc. That I can't afford, even if I kept the blade, this would only force him to be more aggressive towards our faction. No other blade has the same exact power of this Katana, making it the most powerful demonic blade in existence by a long shot. If I somehow provoke that boy, there is a great possibility that he will target us.' He had been taking notes on how the blade seemed so shallow, yet had a significant strength attributed to it. This was the first time he had the chance to inspect the katana this closely. Azazel was no different from the rest, he had known the stories of the Unholy War, despite not participating in himself, a great offense between the Ancient Devils and Demons.

One figure made itself known after the outcome, favouring the Demons with victory and success. The Legendary Dark Knight, Sparda, Chief-General of the Demon Army, leading his kind to success after success. His mythical blades had been forged in the depths of Hell itself, with a twist that no other being could replicate, pouring his own life force into 3 Seperate Blades. Yamato, the Demon Crescent, Rebellion, the Force of Nature, Sword of Sparda, the Force Edge. Those three blades were the most promising factors of his success, being forged with his own blood, meant that those without it, wouldn't be able to tap into their powers.

Aside from Yamato, there hadn't been an official confirmation that the other two existed, leaving them to be just myths. In Katana's case, there had been several incidents throughout Supernatural that confirmed its existence. Such as the case of Dianne, one of the original users of the Blade. The blade had been passed down to Sparda's descendants throughout history, each of whom had affected the balance with their actions. Now, there was another one, Hyoudou Issei. A boy that had been originally thought as a Sacred Gear user, but instead, had been gifted with the Blood of Sparda.

The worst possible scenario was that he also possessed a Divine Gift, which would mean that the side he would sooner or later choose, would gain quite the powerhouse and political ground against the other factions. Even Dianne herself had made Khaos Brigade a force to be reckoned with, but this boy had potential to surpass her if Azazel's predictions came out to be true, which he hoped not.

'I would be lying if I said that I really don't want to continue further, this blade is something else. It blows the competition between the other Demonic Blades. Even Gram isn't this powerful, but then again Yamato is said to be practically indestructible and is able to rip the very fabric of reality upon its wielder's wish. Well, I'm sure gonna try the first one.' If the rumors turned out to be true, then there would be no problem because the boy wouldn't even notice it. Rising up from his seat, Azazel took the blade and headed for his lab. There were so many tests that he needed to apply, one day would barely be enough.

Upon a flick of his wrist, Azazel summoned various devices, ranging from Durability Pressure Devices to Reserve Indicators. If he wanted to uncover everything the Katana had, he needed to run every test out there. First of all would be of course the Durability measurement. If it could handle it, then Azazel would take the strings to his hands.

Carefully placing the Blade on the middle of the enormous device, a classic Hydraulic Press, Azazel made his mind. Even if he knew that It was a futile attempt, he still wondered about the outcome, after all the blade was more akin to a Divine Construct than a man-made weapon. He kept his careful gaze solely on the blade as the press continued its way towards Yamato. A loud crack followed the collision, the result was actually shocking on Azazel's behalf.

The Katana just crushed the machine without actually doing anything, the press was unable to continue its advance. Azazel's eyes widened at the sight, he clearly wasn't expecting this outcome. Maybe the Press malfunctioning or the blade having a few cracks on the surface, but definitely not this one. Deciding to take things further, The Governor manifested a Light Spear, with enough force to take down a Middle-Class being instantly.

As the forces collided, Azazel wasn't shocked about the outcome this time. His Light Spear vanished into thousand pieces after making contact with the Blade. He manifested another one, this time putting a lot more strength behind it, a High-Class Light Spear. Again, his Light Spear shattered without any significant resistance. Another one, this time an Ultimate-Class Spear, with Azazel taking this shot seriously. However, the outcome remained the same.

'Fearsome… Truly Fearsome. Even without its wielder, we can't destroy Yamato exactly. I don't have to run any more durability tests for now. Thereby my thesis is that Yamato can only be destroyed upon the wish of its wielder, which I don't see happening any time soon. This time, however, I should analyze the Blade on the magical level, If I can understand even a bit of its complicated nature, then my first Artificial Sacred Gear can be brought into existence.' Azazel was quite pleased on this opportunity, because the more he learnt about the Katana, the sooner he could invent his Artificial Sacred Gear officially.

Picking up the Blade and unsheathing it, Azazel took a look at it again, trying to spot any kind of damage his Spears could've caused, for his dismay, Yamato was still shining brightly. Azazel made his way to the stand just behind the press machine, with a frown on his face. He couldn't understand how something like this could exist, even more there would be just a handful of individuals who could use it. Azazel wasn't going to take his chance and try to use Yamato, because he had seen that once you touch the Katana, it would immediately resign itself to its sheath, making it impossible to analyze it.

This time, The Mad Scientist went for a quick analysis on its magical properties. Channelling his own energy to the device in front of him, Azazel started to wait patiently. The result, however… was off charts. Immense amounts of condensed Demonic Energy, enough to take a High-Class holy being down in a single swing, with enough backup to stand a chance against somebody like Azazel. If Issei could use Yamato at its fullest, then he would practically be able to win against every single of the Cadres.

'What in the actual heck? How? I had known that the blade was actually powerful, even experienced it firsthand but this time it seems that Yamato is even more powerful than before, there has to be some kind of link between the Wielder's strength. Only Sparda himself should've been the one to use it like this… and Dianne wasn't able to strike down Grayfia, if this is actually true, then she could've very well ended her existence on their initial skirmish. This doesn't make any sense!' The revelation was shocking, if this somehow was for real, then this boy, Issei, had the potential to become even more powerful than Sparda himself. The idea was sickening, that much potential, should not fall to wrong hands.

An idea had come into Azazel's mind, he didn't know if he would actually pull up, but it was worth the effort. If there was anyone as much interested in Ancient Relics as Azazel, it would be Ajuka. As fellow scientists, they could uncover more about the blade, yeah, that seemed like a good idea on the surface. Quickly connecting a link with the Maou Beelzebub, Azazel hoped for him to pick up. The connection had been established, Ajuka and him had already exchanged private contacts to look out for each other in times like this.

"Ajuka… I don't exactly know whether you're busy or not, but I got my hands on something that will shock you to the core. I know it's the second instance this month, but I promise this time it will be worth the effort. Just come to Grigori as soon as possible, I need your help." Not giving the man on the other side a chance to speak, Azazel made his intention very clear. After that, it would be only a moment before Ajuka arrived, he knew that Maou would take a great deal of interest in the Blade. The Governor knew that Ajuka had been searching Yamato for at least a decade and always wanted to inspect the Katana closely.

Soon after, a bright glow appeared on Azazel's Lab, the magic circle of Astaroth, out of which appeared a young man, if looks were convincing, the man would've been the supreme bishounen instead of Maou Beelzebub. Light blue eyes that were directed against Azazel's violet orbs, light apache green hair rounded messy, calm yet collected figure that gave the feeling of a wise man, this man was Ajuka Beelzebub, Maou of Technology and Law Affairs, a fellow man that fit in the category of Mad Scientist. The one and only man who could compete with Azazel on the title of Millennial Genius of the Underworld.

"As per your request, I have arrived, Azazel-dono. What is the urgency you've informed my secretary?" Ajuka's soothing voice made its way to Azazel, who was just recovering from the ground breaking news he had acquired. Collecting his strength, Azazel began.

"Ah come on Ajuka, drop the whole honorification thing. I've known you for at least a century, I think it's about time that we consider each other as Brothers in Tech." Governor's playful attitude resurfaced, which brought a gentle and genuine smile on Maou's face. Ajuka too had felt the same way, as it was hard to find anyone in the Underworld that he could hang around with, due to their way of thinking differed from their peers on their respective Factions.

"Very well, then so be it, Azazel. Is this about your experiments on Artificial Sacred Gear? If it is, I will be glad to lend my assistance." The Maou reassured, it was no secret that the duo had been working on Artificial Sacred Gears and from what Azazel said in their previous meeting, they were actually close to make a breakthrough.

"I wish, Ajuka, I really wish it was about it, but come to think of it, it's related to the issue at hand. Anyways, see that Katana behind me? That's the reason I've called you due to the fact that I know your interest in Demonic Artifacts. I figured out that you might be able to help me." Azazel made a hand gesture to Ajuka to feel completely at home, the latter's attention, however, was fixated at the Blade.

"Very interesting indeed, then I shall inspect it." Ajuka finally agreed to Azazel's idea as the duo approached the Katana, something about it intrigued the Scientists, especially Ajuka who had seen the motifs and decided to take a closer look, hence got into a Thinker's position and leaned to the blade.

"Hmm… This pattern, where have I seen this before? It looks so familiar but I can't point it out. Regardless, the energy radius is actually frightening." His light blue eyes were so coordinated to the Blade that Ajuka couldn't see the grin on Azazel's face, deciding to drop the bomb, Azazel spoke.

"That, my friend, is the Demon Crescent, Yamato. The first of its kind, the oldest Demonic Blade Sparda himself had forged back in the Unholy War. The reason you feel so familiar with Yamato is because you've encountered it during the Devilish Civil War, when it was still wielded by Dianne herself." Upon the revelation, Ajuka was left speechless. The Demon Crescent? Now he understood why Azazel had called him, he knew his interest in Sparda's Blades. He had been looking for Yamato for at least a decade, as it would greatly help the projects he had and mainly because the Katana was actually a Mythical Construct.

"Oh… Oh I get it now. Well, You have my eternal gratitude my fellow Scientist. If you allow me, I want to examine it." Ajuka was clearly interested now, Azazel could see the gleam in his eyes, and he was close to drooling at the sight of such an interesting material. He couldn't blame him though, Azazel himself had his share value of being awestruck.

"I have already done the basics, the rumors are actually true though. Yamato is indestructible without its wielder, possesses a great deal of Demonic Energy and is able to cut through anything on its path." Upon his exclamation, Ajuka stared at Azazel for some time. He had his questions but for now, the most important thing was to analyze the Demon Crescent together.

"I see… then we should take a greater look on its construction mechanism, shall we Azazel?" After being affirmed with a nod, Ajuka concentrated his Devilish energy, he had a very special spell under his sleeve that would efficiently handle the situation.

"Kankara Formula." Equation of Military Supremacy, the Kankara Formula has been Ajuka's trump card since its development in the Civil War. Being able to analyze the structures of different spells and taking control of them during a clash was especially fearsome against Spellcasters as it would pose a looming reign of terror when matched, one of the primary reasons for Ajuka's strength as a Super Devil and Maou.

A man of Ajuka's caliber wouldn't stop at only the magical side of the theory, as he is clearly demonstrating that he could very well analyze different physical materials. Astaroth's signature magic circles began to appear all over Yamato, running through various kinds of tests itself. Truly, Ajuka was far better equipped than Azazel when it came to analyze something.

"A Zeipan? No, 3 different Zeipans. The primary reason for Yamato's strength is the fact that it has 3 various Demon Cores, all from the same banner of Sparda, but differentiate among each other as they're more tainted from the time of their installment on the Blade. A Shuka, Demon's Will exceeding far greater from the initial assumptions. Lastly, Laipen, Demon's Belief throughout the history, adding more strength each time it makes an appearance." Ajuka exclaimed as he dismissed Kankara Formula, truth is, even The Maou wasn't expecting the Demon Crescent to be this well constructed. It would very much explain why the Katana was this powerful.

"So you mean, the Blade has its own Belief System? The one we are familiar with from our Pantheon?" The Governor explained as he placed his hand on his chin. The outcome was much more serious than they'd guessed, it seems that Sparda had taken everything into account when he forged Yamato.

"Very briefly, yes. I'm sure that you've already noticed that Yamato is indeed more powerful than we have known previously, it has a link with his current host and the more powerful they become, the more sinister Yamato becomes. At this rate, this Blade is on par with Durandal at its might, which is very concerning. I assume you know the wielder this time." It was more of a question than an assumption, as his answer Azazel nodded.

"Yeah, I've been sending scouts to Overworld for Sacred Heart users and that boy was on the list. Imagine my face when I found out that he was a direct descendant of Sparda. I've asked his permission to study Yamato in exchange for his privacy, we made a deal and I've called you after my experiments." The look on Ajuka's face was priceless, so he knew. They could make great use of somebody like that but until he decided on whose side he would be, Azazel would respect his decision.

"This is going to be a very long night, isn't it Azazel?" Ajuka reassured as he hummed in joy, the Scientist duo was going to conduct experiment after experiment and it would hugely benefit both sides.

"Yup, and I ain't letting you go until we abstract every single detail about Yamato. Don't worry though, the drinks are from me, courtesy of Grigori." Azazel flashed a smile, which indicated that they were going to have a lot of fun, and headaches.

The night continued to be more and more fun after they've actually made several breakthroughs on Yamato's construction. Ajuka and Azazel had been great drinking buddies when the things came to it since the Devilish Civil War. The restless night was going to pay off quite nicely and both of those immensely strong individuals could lay off from their duties for once and have fun in the meantime.

Ja. That's it for this chap ig.

So yeah, that Katana is actually Yamato from Devil May Cry series. I'm a great fan of the series and will continue to include several more ideas in the future, but for now, stick with the Kool Yamato.

Also, There are a few things that I will explain in the next chapter. Issei's disease is one of those, and yes it's a disease, why? Don't ask it just came to my mind and I wrote it down.

And oh boi, Lucifuge Household. Koolness +1000. You'll ask, but duh, Issei can't be a Lucifuge he doesn't even resemble them, but in my opinion, he does in this fic, just I haven't shown you yet. Physical appearance wise will be explained as well. I have to somehow inject a dialogue between him and Valerie about it when she comes to visit, hint hint, will happen soon.

R&R gals and ladies.

Until then, Shiwftie out. Kthxbai
