~Everything's Not What It Seems~

Alex and Justin are siblings sent to Hogwarts to learn about magic just like their father. There they meet new friends, fall in love, and find out that truly everything is not what it seems.

Max waited for what seemed like forever for Justin to return with news of their sister. Mr. Weasley had sent him, Hermione, Ron, Fred, and George back to the Burrow as soon as they arrived at the port key. Mr. Weasley had stayed back with Cedric and Cedric's father to look for Justin, Alex, Harry and Ginny. An hour had passed before Ginny appeared and told them that she was with Justin but they had yet to find Harry or Alex. It had been another three hours since then, and his siblings had yet to return. It was getting late and soon they would need to leave for the Hogwarts Express. Max wanted to be excited for the trip to Hogwarts but could only worry about whether his sister was safe or not.

"Alright children, it looks like we should be leaving. Percy has offered to drive us to King's Cross Station with the car. Come, come children!" Max looked at Mrs. Weasley as she entered the living area. She stopped in front of Fred and George and motioned them all to get up.

"But what about Harry and Alex?" Hermione asked, ignoring her request.

"We can only hope that they will meet us there. If not, then they will have to meet you all at Hogwarts. Now get yourselves up, grab your bags, and get ready to leave. Percy is already outside!" Mrs. Weasley pulled her sons up off the couch and started to herd them towards the stairs.

As the others got up and started to follow the twins in the direction of the stairs, Max looked dejectedly at the bunch of suitcases sitting in the corner of the Burrow. The ones that belonged to his sibling. He looked sadly at Alex's small suitcase, the one she had filled with multiple shrunken suitcases. She was looking forward to this year... what if they never found her?

"Max, dear, why don't you help me get your bags and your brother and sister's bags outside." He looked at Mrs. Weasley who was watching him expectantly. She had Alex's Vanity bag in her hand and was motioning him towards the door. "Come on, you wouldn't want your sister to berate you for forgetting her things. You'll see her on the train. I know it." She smiled at him before making her way out the door.

He hoped so.

Justin couldn't help glancing at Alex's leg every so often as they rid to the train station. He didn't like that they'd have to wait until they were at Hogwarts to have her leg checked out.

When they had arrived at the Burrow sometime ago, they found that the others were already gone and their bags were no longer in the living room. Upon realizing his car was missing, Mr. Weasley began to panic about getting them to Hogwarts and seeing his children off. Harry tried to calm him down while Justin called a few taxi companies to see if they were able to pick them up in time to get them to King's Cross Station. Once he had found a taxi, he relayed the good news to the others and suggested they all wash up before the taxi arrived. Thirty minutes later, Harry, Alex, and Justin were sitting in the back of a taxi and Mr. Weasley was seated at the front seat, staring out the window in fascination.

"How am I going to get to the station?" Alex asked in a low voice as she pointed at her gauze-covered leg in disappointment. He and Harry shared a look, feeling bad for Alex's predicament.

"Justin and I will help you. Neither of us have luggage so we can manage. Right Justin?" Harry looked at him. Justin nodded in agreement.

"Okay, thanks Harry." Alex smiled at him. The two silently stared at each other, smiles on both their faces. Justin shifted awkwardly in his seat between them, regretting his decision to sit in the middle.

"So Alex, where did you leave your laptop?" Alex eyes snapped out of their momentary trance and she turned her face away from Harry, a blush forming on her cheeks.

"Oh… uh, I think I attached it to my bag before we left for the World Cup." She replied.

"Okay good, I would be worried about leaving a laptop in the Weasley home. Who knows what Mr. Weasley will think if he finds it." Justin said as Alex and Harry both laughed. Mr. Weasley turned around and looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "It's nothing, just an inside joke."

~~~~~
"Can you go any slower, Justin?" Alex complained again as he and Harry helped her limp down King's across Station towards Platform 9 and 3/4.
"Alex, we are almost there. Then we just need to get you on the train and you won't have to worry about anything." Harry assured her.
"But my leg hurts and I'm sure we would already be there if he walked faster!" Alex pointed at her brother in irritation.
"Look, we're almost there so just shu-"
"Wait! How am I going to run in?" Alex interrupted him, looking between the two.
"I… I could run in with… with you in my arms." Harry suggested hesitantly.
"Ummm... No offense Harry, but do you really think you can carry me in on your own, let alone run in with me. You aren't exactly built for that." Alex gave Harry an apologetic look.
"If you don't feel comfortable, it's okay. I was just offering since we don't really have any other options." Harry shrugged as they stopped in front of the entrance.
Alex shook her head and smiled at Harry. "Fine, you're right. Thanks you for offering to help me, I do appreciate it." Alex leaned closer to Harry and lightly pecked him on the cheek. Harry's cheeks flushed red and a love-struck smile formed on his lips. Justin looked away guilty as he spotted the lovesick glow in Harry's eyes.
"Thanks…" Harry replied as he avoided Alex's gaze.
When they finally stopped in front of the entrance to Platform nine and three-quarters, Justin let go of Alex and watched as Harry lifted her into his arms. Justin stifled a smile on seeing the blush that appeared on both their faces.
"Hey wait! Where did Mr. Weasley go?" Alex asked as Harry got ready to run with her in his arms.
"Oh, I told him to head over there before us to say goodbye to his family." Justin replied. "Mr. Weasley was nervous that if he didn't see his children before they left that Mrs. Weasley would give him hell until Christmas when they would see their children again. I told him to go on ahead and we would catch up."
Alex nodded and looked back at Harry. "Let's go. See you in there Justin!" Alex held onto Harry tighter as he began to run towards the wall. Hopefully they make it to the other side without falling. Justin hoped as they both disappeared.
~~~~~

Alex opened her eyes and let out a breath of relief as she took in her surroundings. They had safely made it onto Platform nine and three-quarters. She looked behind them just as Justin fell through with his eyes closed in fear. He looked at Alex with relief as he made his way over to them and helped her down from Harry's arms.

"Thanks Harry." She smiled at him.

"So, where are we headed?" Justin asked as he took hold of her arm.

"To find Ron and 'Mione?" Harry suggested as they started to help Alex towards the train.

"Or Max." Justin added.

Alex shook her head and scanned the crowd. She frowned in disappointment when she didn't spot her two favorite redheads. "I want to find Fred and George."

"Why them?" Justin asked with a raised eyebrow.

"I have a feeling my stuff is with them and that they have a compartment reserved just for the three of us. So you two help me find them and then go off to your people." She replied simply with a smile.

"I'm not sure leaving you three alone is a good idea, but what other choice do we have…" Justin said as he helped his sister into the train.

~~~~~
After helping Alex get situated into the compartment with Fred and George, Harry and Justin separated ways as Harry went to look for Hermione and Ron and Justin went to find... someone to sit with. He was positive Max had his luggage but was probably with his Hufflepuff friends. And Cedric was most likely seated with the Hufflepuff quidditch team, no doubt planning this season's practices. He could have joined Harry, Ron and Hermione, but wanted to avoid being in the same compartment as Ginny.
"Justin?" Justin turned towards the unfamiliar voice. A girl with short white hair and pale skin stood before her in Ravenclaw robes. He didn't recognize the girl, but she stared at him with a look of familiarity.
"Do I know you?" Justin asked her with a look of confusion. He definitely had never met her before.
"No you don't, actually. But I know your brother Max." She smiled before turning and beginning to walk off. He stared after her as she walked a few steps in the opposite direction. She stopped in front of a compartment a few doors down, then turned back towards him slightly. "Aren't you coming?"
"Coming where?"
"To my compartment of course! You have nowhere else to go. My cousin and I got one to ourselves." She smiled as she opened the door of a compartment and motioned inside.
Well... he did have nowhere else to go... "Sure." He shrugged, following after her girl.
~~~~~

As soon as Harry opened the compartment door, a body flung towards him and his view of the rest of the compartment was momentarily blocked by light brown hair. "Harry, I'm so glad you're okay!"

"Blimey 'Mione, let him sit down!" Ron exclaimed from behind her. Hermione pulled away from him and helped him put his day bag away. Harry took a seat across from her, beside Ron. They both stared at him expectantly as he settled down.

"What?"

"What? What! You and Alex were missing since last night and all you have to say for yourself is what? Where were you two? What happened? Is Alex okay? Did-"

"Slow down Ron!" Hermione cut him off. She looked at Harry with a soft expression and smiled. "Tell us everything from the beginning."

"I'm not entirely sure what happened but I think whatever it was, it had to do with me. I woke up to the empty tent and utter chaos outside. I was on my way out of the tent when I noticed Alex asleep in her bed. I woke her up and we both rushed out of the tent. I don't even think we knew where we were going but at some point Alex was screaming and then something attacked us. We both passed out. When we came to in the morning, we found Alex's leg was injured and the attackers gone. We ran into Justin, Mr. Weasley, Cedric, and Mr. Diggory sometime later." He shrugged. Ron and Hermione stared at him in concern.

"Attacked?" Ron's mouth dropped. "By who?"

"Is Alex okay? Did you take her to get her legged checked? Who cares about the attack right now, Alex could be hurt!" Hermione said angrily as she swatted Ron upside the head.

"Ow! I know, I said 'attacked'!" Ron said as he rubbed his head.

"Yes, she's going to be seen at the infirmary when we get to Hogwarts."

"Where is she now?" Hermione quickly asked before Ron could say anything more.

"With Fred and George."

Ron rolled his eyes. "I knew there was a reason they offered to take Alex's luggage with them. Leave it to those three to want to get into trouble before we even start the term. Amazing. Well... she couldn't really be in that much pain if she's already planning the trouble she would be getting to this year." He shrugged.

"How can you be so sure Ron! Alex could be in a lot of pain right now." Hermione lectured him as the two began to bicker amongst themselves.

Harry shook his head at his friends and tuned them out as he thought about Alex. The image of her blushing in his arms at the train station. How could he move on when he kept letting themselves get into situations like that?
