Hopelessly Devoted to You

Disclaimer: I don't anything including the song by Olivia Newton John from the Grease Sound Track.

Opening the door to her apartment, Sara tossed her keys and purse on her breakfast bar kicking the door closed behind her. It had been a long shift and after Grissom's recent rejection to her dinner invitation work had been rather… tense. No, tense is the wrong word---awkward--- would more accurately describe it.

Sara kicked off her shoes and changed into her favorite pair pajama pants and her Harvard sweatshirt. Walking to the fridge she opened a bottle of water taking long drink to quench her thirst. It had been 12 hours since her last meal. Sara tended to get wrapped up in her work and forget about simple things like…eating for example.

"What to eat? Not much in here Chinese take out, yogurt and an orange. Great selection Sidel, you need to go shopping more often. Let's check out the freezer," Sara said while opening the other door.

"Ben and Jerry's Chocolate chip cookie dough, Sweet, my favorite," Sara said grabbing a spoon and the carton. She walked over to her big comfy couch and fell into it.

Flipping through the stations Sara stopped briefly on Forensic Files and then she reconsidered.

"I need a diversion for work. Oh wait where have I heard that before? Oh yeah, Mister I ride roller coasters. Like he has any room to talk he is a bigger workaholic than I am and that's hard to accomplish. Like a few roller coasters serve as a diversion. Or maybe S & M freaks are his diversion."

Turing her attention back to the TV, Sara began flipping through channels again and landed on Grease, a sappy movie that she would have never normally watched. But today, this movie seemed to fit her mood perfectly.

Olivia Newton John's voice floated from the TV.

Guess mine is not the first heart broken,

"You got that right sister."

My eyes are not the first to cry, I'm not the first to know there's just no getting' over you

"Can't live with them can't live without them. God knows I've tried to forget him a million times over but…"

Hello, I'm just a fool who's willing to sit and wait for you, But baby can't you see I'm hopelessly devoted to you

"Don't feel bad Sandy, I've been waiting for my man for years now."

But now there's nowhere to hide, since you pushed my love aside I'm not in my head…

"Ahh rejection, my best friend"

Hopelessly devoted to you

"Even after everything the rumors and the rejection I'm still…"

Hopelessly devoted to you

"Why can't he see how much I care about him and why can't that be enough for him…"

Hopelessly devoted to you

"Why can't he just love me?"

My head is saying " fool, forget him," my heart is saying, "don't let go"

"I wish I could just forget him but it's so complicated and I wish I never had to let him go. Get a grip Sidel you've never had him to let go of."

Hold on to the end that's what I intend to do. I'm hopelessly devoted to you

"You do that Sandy stick by his side and see what happens. I'm done with Gil Grissom for Good!" Sara said while chucking the remote across the room.

Sara heard a knock at the door and got up off the couch, fling open the door with out even looking to see who it was to her surprise it was a disheveled looking Grissom.

"May I come in?" asked Grissom hesitantly.

Sara nodded in reply not trusting he voice at the moment.

"Can I get you …" Grissom cut her off mid sentence with his lips on hers.

Pulling slightly away from Sara Grissom asked, "Am I too late?"

"You know you almost were."
