"One more." Alex said, pulling on Cedric's collar again.

She and Cedric were standing under the stands, a few feet away from the other competitors. They were waiting on the headmasters and Mr. Diggory, who were supposed to accompany the competitors prior to the last task. Dumbledore thought it would be a good idea for Alex to accompany her brother. She was glad for this because she was free from Snape's watchful eye. If it wasn't for Cedric being there, she would probably have hated the idea of being here rather than on the stands with the twins. Luckily, her brother had left the couple to themselves while he talked strategy with Harry.

"I would give you plenty more." He said before lowering his voice. "But I'd rather not be snogging the headmaster's niece in the open."

Alex rolled her eyes as she released his collar and instead looped her arms around his neck. He wrapped his arms around her waist as she gave him a mischievous grin. "Who cares what he thinks?"

"You are trouble." Cedric shook his head in amusement.

"But that's exactly why you adore me."

"I won't disagree with you there." He smiled before leaning down to peck her on the lips. "Though I can contend it's not the only reason. I love you."

"Love you more." She replied.

"Mr. Diggory, you will have plenty of time to spend with Ms. Russo later." The two quickly pulled apart as they heard the headmaster's voice across the room. The other headmasters followed him into the room as Cedric's dad came over to the couple.

"Alex, good to see you again!" Mr. Diggory greeted her as he stopped beside his son.

"Hi, Mr. Diggory."

"I see you'll be supporting your brother."

"Nope." She said with a wide smile as she looped her arm through Cedric's. "I'm a hundred percent behind Cedric." She looked at her boyfriend with an adoring smile. "We're looking at the future champion of the TriWizard Tournament. I'm just here because the headmaster doesn't trust I won't cause trouble during the tournament."

"Cedric mentioned you were a troublemaker." His dad laughed. "I always say, a little fun never hurt anyone."

"That's exactly what I think." She beamed.

"Alex, we should get going." Justin said, coming up beside his sister. He gave Cedric and his dad a light nod in greeting.

"Sure." She rolled her eyes.

"Mr. Diggory." Dumbledore called out. "You will be entering first with your father, followed by the Russos, Ms. Delacour and her sister, Mr. Krum and Igor, and lastly Mr. Potter and myself."

Alex joined her brother and the others in lining up as they heard the music begin to play outside.

"This is it." She heard Cedric say to his dad ahead of them.

Mr. Diggory pushed the door open, leading the group out as they heard the crowd in the stands and the music got louder. Alex stepped out beside her brother, taking in the excited cheers of her classmates and the singing Beauxbatons students as the Hogwarts band enthusiastically performed. She smiled as she caught sight of Fred and George in the stands, her best friends cheering louder when they spotted her beside Justin.

"Silence!" Dumbledore yelled out, silencing the crowd as the music awkwardly died out. The student around them sat down in the stands as all attention turned to the Hogwarts headmaster.

"Prior to the game, Professor Moody placed the Triwizard Cup deep within the maze. Only he knows it's exact position. Now as Mr. Diggory, Mr, Potter, and Mr Russo are tied for first place, they'll be the first to enter the maze."

As the cheering ensued around them, Alex stiffened slightly. They were going in there first? The headmaster continued to speak, but Alex found herself distracted as she looked into the hazy opening of the maze, where Professors Moody was hobbling out. Anything could happen in there, and they would have no idea what was going on from here. Something still didn't feel right. She was snapped out of her thoughts as she felt a hand slip into hers. She looked beside her in surprise, finding Cedric had joined her and Justin by the entrance, his eyes on hers as he gave her an assuring smile.

"I love you." He said. "Don't worry, we'll be back before you know it."

She nodded. "I know. I love you too."

He leaned down and gave her a short kiss on the lips. "I'll see you in a bit." He said as he pulled away. He gave her hand another gentle squeeze before turning and taking his position by the entrance.

Alex turned to her brother, who was now joined by Harry. "Stay safe." She said before looking at Harry. "Both of you."

"We will." Harry nodded.

"You have nothing to worry about." Justin said, agreeing before the pair joined the other competitors.

Alex watched as Dumbledore came up beside the competitors. He spoke to them in a hushed tone as they all huddled around him.

"Alex, why don't we go to the stands so you can join your friends, yes?" Mr. Diggory said as he came up and clapped a hand on Alex's shoulder.

"Sure." She nodded as she followed him to the stands.

She found Fred and George closer to the front and stopped beside them as Cedric's dad gave her a farewell smile. She turned her attention back to competitors, who were now standing at separate entrances to the maze. Cedric looked up at her and shot her a wink as a cannon went off and the music resumed around them.

"Here we go." Fred said beside her.

"There they go..." She agreed.

"Harry?" Justin called out as he spotted a figure in the fog ahead of him. "Harry! Is that you?"

Harry turned, squinting in confusion as he looked in Justin's direction. He began to jog over as he realized it really was Justin.

"Any luck finding the Triwizard cup?" He asked as Harry stopped in front of him.

"No. I've been going around in circles for who knows how long."

"Did the maze... close up for you?" Justin asked, starting to question whether he had hallucinated moments before.

"Yes. I think it got Fleur." Harry said with a frown.

"You heard her too?"

Harry nodded. "We'd better hurry."

"Have you seen Cedric? I wanted to make sure he's okay."

Harry shook his head as the two began to walk quickly. "No, not yet. Have you seen Krum?"

"Nope." Justin shook his head with a frown. "I'd be more concerned about him. I wonder what his headmaster got him doing to win this. Hopefully Cedric finds the cup so we can end this."

Harry turned to him in surprise. "You don't want to win?"

"Not really." Justin shook his head. "At this point I just want to get the hell out of here."

"You and me both." Harry agreed as they turned another corner in the maze. "Wait, do you hear that?"

The two started to pick up their speed while trying to stay as quiet as possible. As Justin was about to turn another corner, Harry grabbed onto his collar and pulled him against the greenery. Justin looked at his friend in confusion as he held a finger to his lips, signaling him to be quiet. He turned his attention to the fog ahead of him as they heard a pair of footsteps approach them. The two watched silently as a confused Victor made his way past them, holding his wand tightly in his hand.

"That was odd." Justin said as they watched him disappear into the fog.

"Let's go." Harry said, continuing forward quickly, in the opposite direction of Victor. Harry led them around another corner as it continued to get darker. The two stopped as they spotted something moving on the ground ahead of them.

"Isn't that-"

"Fleur!" Harry said, running up ahead of Justin.

As Justin approached him, he noticed She was knocked out and wrapped in vines. Most of her body already engulfed. Harry quickly pulled out his wand and pointed it to up, letting out a bright red spark which flew into the sky. As the sparks dispersed over them, wind started to build up around them.

"What the hell is that?" Justin asked as he held out his hand to stop the wind from hitting leaves into his face.

"Let's not wait and find out." Harry said as he motioned for them to go ahead.

The two started to run in another direction as the wind continued to pick up and the maze started to close up around them.

"Not again!" Justin yelled as he tried to keep up with Harry. He barely could run straight as the wind kept pushing him into the bushes. "This is insane!" He yelled when he noticed the vines running after them.

"Dive!" Harry yelled.

Justin didn't question him, the two diving into the ground as a large branch appeared in front of them. As they hit the ground, the intense wind suddenly stopped and they looked back to see the maze had completely closed up behind them.

"I hate this place." Justin said with a defeated sigh. He got up and started to brush himself off as Harry continued to stare at the closed up hedge in disbelief. "Come on Harry, we gotta get out of this place." He put his hand out to help Harry, who took it appreciatively.

As Harry stood up, his eyes caught on a small light ahead of them. "Justin... isn't that-"

Justin followed Harry's line of sight to the other side, where he spotted a small blue light. "I think it is." He agreed, a small smile overcoming his lips.

"Get down!"

The two quickly dove to the ground as they heard Victor's booming voice recite a spell. Justin spotted Cedric behind them. He quickly dodged a spell as he charged towards the pair. "Expelliarmus!"

They heard a thud and turned to find Victor knocked out. Harry and Justin stood up quickly as Cedric kicked the wand out of an unconscious Victor's hand. As soon as he was reassured, he held out his wand, pointing it Victor.

"Cedric, stop! He was bewitched!" Harry yelled. He tried to pull Cedric away from Victor. "He was bewitched!"

Justin immediately joined him, successfully pulling Cedric away from Victor. "Cedric, you need to stop!" He yelled. "For Alex!" Cedric stopped at this and turned to look at Justin. "She wouldn't want you doing this."

Cedric stared at Justin blankly for a moment before slowly nodding. He turned his head past them as his eyes narrowed on the blue light they'd seen earlier. He glanced at the two briefly before dashing in the direction of the light as the maze started to move again, blocking their vision of the light. Harry and Justin looked at each other briefly before starting after him. As they caught up to Cedric, the three shoved each other out of the way, attempting to get ahead of the other. Turning another corner, the three stopped suddenly, their eyes catching the blue light again.

"Yes." Harry said to himself with a relieved smile.

The three looked at each other again before continuing forward, resuming to shove each other out of the way. Justin looked back in confusion as he heard the snapping of twigs beneath them. His eyes widened as he caught sight of the vines that were coming out of the earth, chasing them.

"Shit! Shit! Shit!" He said to himself as he tried to speed his pace. As he caught up to Harry, he heard a loud thump behind him. He glanced back to see Cedric no longer behind running them. He stopped suddenly, seeing his friend trapped in the vines a few yards back. He glanced back between Cedric and Harry, his mind unsure what to do. You are so close to this being over.

"Justin!" Cedric called out, his hands reaching for Justin pleadingly.

"Justin, come on!" He heard Harry call out behind him.

Justin looked back at his friend in doubt. Could he really leave Cedric here. He's his friend. He turned back to Harry and shook his head. "I can't leave him. Hems my friend, and Alex would never forgive me."

Harry glanced between the two in doubt but nodded in agreement. He jogged back to Justin and held out his wand towards Cedric. "Reducto!" The spell hit the vines, loosening their grip on Cedric. The two ran back to Cedric, kneeling beside him as they freed him from the vines as quickly as possible. Once he was free, the three stood up and looked at each other.

"For a moment there, I thought you both were going to leave me." Cedric said, scratching the back of his head.

"For a moment, so did we..." Justin replied with a frown.

"Some game, huh?" Cedric asked, looking between the two with a bitter smile.

"Some game." Harry agreed.

As the two stared ahead of them, the sound of rusting could be heard behind them. Justin looked back as leaves started blowing in their direction, the wind picking up.

"Not again!" He yelled as Cedric grabbed him by the shirt and pulled him with them.

The three continued forward as fast as they could, not bothering to look back as the wind increased and they heard rustling all around them. It wasn't until they arrived at the end of the path that they stopped abruptly, all three of their eyes locking in on the TriWizard cup. None of them attempted to move as they looked ahead in awe.

"Go on, take it!" Cedric yelled. You both saved me, so go take it!

"I don't need to win this!" Justin said, shaking his head. "I just wanted to get through this dumb tournament alive. Harry, you take it!" He turned to Harry.

Harry shook his head at the two. "All of us, together!"

They all nodded as they stepped towards the cup. "One. Two. Three-" They all reached for the cup at the same time.

"Where are we? Cedric asked as he stood up and looked around them.

Justin did the same, his eyes scanning the area in confusion. Why did it look like a cemetery?

"I've been here before..." Harry said quickly as he scanned the graveyard in concern.

Justin looked at his friend in confusion. "What do you mean, you've been here before?"

"It's a port key." Cedric said a few feet away from them, oblivious of Harry's panic.

"I've been here before!" Harry repeated, his voice more urgent.

Justin approached Harry as he put his hand on the headstone in front of him. Tom Riddle. Who was Tom Riddle?

"We need to get back to the cup!" Harry turned to Justin quickly. "Now!" He yelled.

They heard a loud creak behind them, all three turning in its direction to see a man emerging from a door. Justin quickly recognized the man from the Shrieking Shack a year ago. Peter Pettigrew.

"Ah!" Justin turned as Harry started to yelp in pain beside him. He reached for his friend as Cedric quickly made his way over to them.

"What's going on?" Cedric asked in concern.

"We- we need to get back to the cup!" Harry said through clenched teeth.

"Who are you?! What do you want?!" Cedric demanded as he moved in front of Harry and Justin defensively, pointing his wand at the Peter. Justin looked at Peter, noticing something white in his arms.

"Kill... the spare." He heard an unfamiliar voice command.

Justin watched in horror as Peter quickly lifted his wand and pointed it at Cedric. Before Justin could even think, the words came out of his mouth. "Avada Kedavra!"

He felt a scream tear out of his own throat as he watched his friend fall back, the life immediately disappearing from his eyes. As Cedric's body hit the ground with a thud, he heard Harry yell beside him.

"Stupefy!" Was the last thing he heard as his eyes stared into Cedric's lifeless one. The vision of his friend slowly blurred until he didn't see anything.
