How's it going everyone? 3rd dragneel, coming back with the fourth chapter of Into the Batverse. I hope everyone is having a good 2020, though considering the Crisis we're facing, that doesn't seem to be a case. But still, I will try to write more chapters for my stories to at least keep you guys and me entertained… Seriously, I am losing my damn sanity without my gym visits and going out with my boys.
But enough of that, let's answer the reviews.
Shadow Joestar: Oh yeah, this chapter will focus on both dimensions finally converging, along with an interesting battle along the way.
Guest: I'm pretty sure Mei would foam at the mouth if she saw Victor.
MaMcMu: Hehehe, thank you. I feel like Slade and Grodd would have a grudge with one another, and we will see how their little argument will end. If you're implying that I would kill off another version of Nightwing, you are wrong, good sir… but regarding a death in the story… it will happen.
StreakFreak: Good… good… let the suspense take over*laughs evilly while stroking the cat.*
RWBY Lover 25: All of your questions will probably be answered, my padawan(get it? Cause My Hero makes a lot of Star Wars references.)
BanRedfox: Don't worry, you'll find out who X is. I'm glad you enjoyed the last chapter cause this one will have a lot more action. I like your ideas.
Last time: Things in Both Earth 1 and Earth 53 began to grow hectic, with Nightwing finally infiltrating the warehouse Grodd had taken over, only to go toe to toe with the Terminator himself, Deathstroke. Meanwhile, Class 1-A began their tour of the Marco Research Facility, though because of Shigaraki's impatience, Professor Marco had to excuse himself, which only increased Aizawa's suspicions. Later on, detective Tsukauichi arrived and exposed Professor Marco, only for an unknown assailant to drop a grenade in front of everyone. Back on Earth 1, after stopping Nightwing in his tracks, Grodd and Deathstroke argued about who would strike the finishing blow.
What will happen to our heroes? Let's find out…
'Earth 53'
"MOVE!"
*BOOM*
A large explosion erupted in the middle of the museum, engulfing the area in red smoke. Aizawa, the students and everyone else began coughing hard, the smoke filling their lungs at a rapid pace. "WHAT *cough* WAS *cough* THAT?!" Minoru Mineta spoke up as tears began falling down his eyes. Man, did the smoke burn his eyes.
"Stay close to each other. It could be a villain." Aizawa spoke up, putting on his yellow goggles. Even if he couldn't see, the Erasure Hero would make damn sure that whoever threw that bomb would pay.
'Could this be Shigaraki's work?' Marco thought to himself with a panicked sweat. The smoke didn't necessarily help with his fear. He slowly began to back away from the students, hoping to at least find a safe place until this whole mess was sorted out.
However, any hope of that happening vanished when a hand was placed on his left shoulder, followed by a muffled voice.
"I hope you weren't planning on leaving before the party starts, doc." A chilling voice called out, causing Marco to flinch. He slowly turned around and came face to face with a white skull-like mask with white eyes staring at him coldly. The stranger donned a tight black bodysuit with a red X on his chest, an ash-gray utility belt, matching gloves, black boots with ash-gray outlines and a white skull-like mask with a red X on the forehead. "The boss wants you to be here for the big bang."
"B-But the heroes are-" Marco was cut off when the stranger opened his left hand towards his mouth, showing him a similar red X within the palm.
"Shut it for a while, will ya?" The stranger said before firing red X shaped tape at Marco's mouth, silencing him. The head scientist muffled out several complaints, but they proved to be in vain. "Let's go before Shigaraki decides to-" The stranger cut himself off when a familiar scarf suddenly flew towards him, forcing him to move his head back. "So, he's willing to risk grabbing someone else just to get you, eh? I like a guy with guts." With a smirk under his mask, the stranger reached into his belt and pulled out a small red device before placing it on Eraserhead's scarf.
"Everyone, get back!" Tsukauchi spoke up while pulling out his handgun. As soon as his words were heard, the citizens inside of the building all began to run as fast as they could towards the exit, though some crashed into one another due to the smoke.
However, some of it began to glow towards the right, revealing Momo, who was kneeled down with her shirt open and a large fan in front of her. Izuku began throwing large kicks with his Quirk, sending heavier wind to clear the air.
"Mr. Aizawa, what should we do?" Tenya asked as he and the other students looked at their teacher.
"I need half of you to get the civilians out of here." Aizawa ordered while putting his scarf back around his neck.
"But won't you need some help? You said Marco was working with the League." Kirishima asked with a concerned frown.
"Until we know more about this, we-"
*Beep*Beep*Beep*
The Erasure Hero widened his eyes as a blinking red light emerged from his scarf. Before he could react, the light suddenly exploded, covering Aizawa in a strange red substance from head to toe. "Mr. Aizawa!"
'Damn. He put a bomb on my scarf without me knowing. Whoever took Marco's good.' Aizawa thought as he struggled to break out of the sludge, with no success. It was as if he was covered in some kind of quick dry cement.
"Let me help." Todoroki said calmly as he placed his right hand on his teacher's chest, using his cold Quirk to slowly freeze the slug. "Whatever this is, it'll take some time to freeze, so try not to move."
"The villains are still close by." Izuku said with narrowed eyes as his body was engulfed in small sparks of green lightning. "I'll go after Marco."
"Son, I wouldn't do that." Tsukachi shot down with a stern tone. "We don't know what we'd be walking into. Having any of you walk in without a plan is reckless."
"Tsukachi…" Aizawa spoke up in a serious tone, getting the detective's attention. "We can't wait around here while Marco escapes. They have their licenses, so we should treat them the same as any Pro."
As much as the detective wanted to argue, he did see the logic in Aizawa's words. If the students of Class 1-A had their Provisional Hero Licenses, then they could use their Quirks to help the public, and the situation they were currently in called for everyone to help.
So with a sigh, he looked at the students. "I want some of you to follow Marco and if you can, apprehend him. If you find any of the League, do not engage. Wait for the Pros to come. Am I understood?" The detective said in a serious tone.
"Yes sir!" A majority of the class said in unison, though in Bakugo's case, he just grunted in acknowledgement.
Little did anyone realize, this situation was about to get much worse.
'With Shigaraki and his group'
"What's taking them so long?" Shigaraki said with an impatient tone, scratching the side of his pants to avoid any self harm. Behind him were some of his faithful recruits, including the ever so loyal Kurogiri, the psychotic Himiko Toga, the mysterious Dabi, the lizard-like man Spinner, the strange Magne, one of professor Marco's lab assistants and finally, their newest ally, Jonathan Crane/Scarecrow. Working on the Collider were the rest of Marco's staf, who tried their best to avoid making eye contact with the League of Villains.
"Calm yourself, Tomura Shigaraki." Kurogiri told the leader of their group calmly. Despite having matured over the past few months, the Decay Quirk user still had a temper and if it went unchecked, then a lot of people would be turning to dust right now.
"Do we really need the guy to start this? Why can't any of these other brainiacs do it?" Dabi said in an uncaring tone.
"I-I'm sorry, sir. But without the professor's private c-codes, we can't start the Collider." The assistant said in a nervous tone, holding his clipboard close to his chest.
"Why even steal something like this? It doesn't feel like something Stain would believe in." Spinner muttered to himself while crossing his arms. All this science stuff was making his head spin(no pun intended, of course) and he was sure this went against everything the Hero Killer stood for, especially holding people hostage.
"If this thing can save the world, then we should keep it." Toga merely said before she gave her usual unsettling grin. "Tomura said this thing can open a door to other worlds, so maybe we'll find some real heroes. Maybe a few cuties."
"Enough." Shigaraki called out to his allies before he turned towards the other scientists. "Start it up! When Marco and X get here, the Pros might not be too far behind, so unless you want to die here, get this thing up and running!" None of the scientists protested against Shigaraki as they began to warm up the computers, checking the power output. Shigaraki turned towards Kurogiri with a serious glare. "Kurogiri, go and find-
*WOOSH*
Before he could finish, two figures materialized in between the small group, causing them to take a single step back. "Miss me?" X said with a rhetorical tone as he threw Professor Marco in front of Shigaraki. The professor muffled out some screams from X's gag, only for Toga to giggle at his rather pathetic state.
"Awww, he looks so helpless. Maybe I should cut him loose… and maybe give his blood a try. What do you think, doc?" Toga asked darkly with a toothy smile, only making professor Marco shiver in fear.
"X. Tell me what's going on." Shigaraki demanded the masked fighter, who crossed his arms in an uncaring way.
"Judging by the way they act, I say some of them are on the way here." X said before he pressed a button on his gauntlet, allowing a holoscreen to appear. Looking at it, he raised his head back at Shigaraki. "We have ten minutes at best."
"What shall we do, Shigaraki?" Kurogiri questioned as the others looked towards the apprentice to All For One, who scratched his neck a bit. This was getting a lot more complicated than he anticipated, especially with those brats from UA being the ones following X.
Still, this could be killing two birds with one stone, as long as one of those stones was Izuku Midoriya.
"Might I suggest something?" Scarecrow asked the leader of the League of Villains, who turned to him. "I was able to finish three more tanks of my Fear Gas and they're ready for use. If we use Kurogiri's power to warp each tank in the hallway, there wouldn't be any way for any of the pro heroes to get past without inhaling it. And even if they got away, the gas would keep them from moving on."
"Plus, if you want, I can play around with them for a bit. Not the first teenage group I fought." X offered with a bored tone. He wasn't one to just stand around, so being given the chance to exercise a bit was something he didn't mind doing.
Hearing the offers of help from his friends, Tomura Shigaraki allowed a bit of a smirk to appear on his face.
This was going to be fun.
'Back in Earth 1'
*BANG*
"RRRRAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!" Gorilla Grodd let out a monstrous howl as he pulled back his now bleeding arm, courtesy of Deathstroke and his sharp aim. Due to his wound, the sentient gorilla missed his target and instead of crushing Nightwing, he slammed his fist next to him.
"I warned you, Grodd." Deathstroke said in a serious tone, his handgun still aimed at Grodd. "You said Nightwing was mine, so I'll take him down my way."
"Idiot! Your pride will cost me this entire operation!" Grodd shouted while glaring daggers at the assassin.
"There wouldn't BE an operation if it wasn't for me, you idiot." Deathstroke shot back as he stepped forward, getting in Grodd's personal space. "Frankly, I wouldn't mind having you as a skin rug in my house."
"How DARE you look down on me! I could crush your mind in an instant!" Grodd shot back as the two villains stared at one another, preparing to strike each other.
"Well, I see you two have a lot of counselling to do." Nightwing spoke while getting on his own two feet, typing on his gauntlet while smiling. "But I do want to sleep and the police want you to be in a nice, cozy prison cell. So let's make sure your little toy doesn't work, okay?" Hearing the heroes rather callous words, both Deathstroke and Grodd looked back at him just as he pressed a single button on his gauntlet.
*Beep*Beep*Beep*
Three small beeps emerged from the Wing Ding Nightwing threw on the computer that Grodd planned to use for his Boom Tube. With that, a short burst of electricity shot out of the Wing Ding, covering the computer and shortening it out. "NO!" Gorilla Grodd roared in anger, staring at the destroyed device. All the weeks he spent mind controlling these scientists, all that trouble he went through to get all these supplies. Ruined.
Ruined because of this ONE. DAMN. HUMAN!
With a beastial roar, Grodd began to charge towards Nightwing, slamming his fists onto the ground. He was done holding back against this vigilante. He was done listening to Wilson and his damn pride.
He just wanted to rip Nightwing in half!
The talking ape didn't waste any time in tackling Nightwing, dragging him along the ground. "Not this time." Nightwing groaned before he reached into his belt and pulled out a taser, activating it and slamming it against Grodd's arm. Electricity coursed through Grodd's body, making him howl in pain before he released Nightwing and fell to the ground. "That could've been-"
*BANG*BANG*
Deathstroke began firing on the vigilante with his handgun, forcing Dick to roll on the ground to dodge. Even with the pain he was in, the hero wasn't about to let his rival kill him. Scoffing a bit, Deathstroke turned his head and noticed the container Grodd showed him not too long ago, which made him smirk. Turning his gun away from Nightwing, he fired at the container instead, shattering some of the glass. "What was that, Slade? I know you're a better shot than that." Nightwing called out while getting on one knee.
"Wasn't aiming for you." Deathstroke said simply, much to Nightwing's confusion.
*Crack*
The cracks on the glass continued to crack, with the strange substances inside beginning to leak out of it. 'What the?' Dick looked at the container with narrowed eyes. The brown goo looked oddly familiar to him. At that moment, the vigilante noticed some wording on the side of the container that made his eyes widen.
Arkham Asylum inmate 112.
"Oh shi-"
Before Nightwing could even finish his sentence, the goo suddenly shot towards him, enveloping his body. "GUAH!" Nightwing grunted in pain as the goo began to change shape, growing much taller than anyone inside. "I… Should've known… You'd be here… Hagen."
The goo finished changing, revealing the villain known as Matt Hagen, aka Clayface.
"I was hoping to fight Batman, but I guess his sidekick will have to do." Clayface said with an uncaring tone, his white eyes looking at the hero in his hand. He then began crushing Nightwing with his hand, getting the hero to grit his teeth in pain.
"You better not kill him, Karlo. He's mine." Deathstroke informed the clay monster, who looked down at him.
"Don't care. I'm killing this punk." Clayface shot back as he increased the pressure, slowly cracking Nightwing's bones.
'Have to… Get free…' Digging into his belt, Nightwing tried to find his Batclaw in order to get his Escrima Stick back, but thanks to Clayface's liquid body, it made that simple task almost impossible.
However, little did anyone know, the controls to the portal Grodd's people were working on slowly began to turn on.
'With the 1A students'
"Everyone, stay together! We don't know what traps the villains have placed!" Iida called out as he and a small number of his classmates ran through a rather long hallway. Accompanying the Engine Quirk user were some of Class 1-A's more agile combatants, including Izuku Midoriya, Momo Yaoyorozu, Mashiro Ojiro and Tsuyu Asui.
"Iida, have you noticed something? There aren't any guards." Momo called out as she noticed the lack of people around them, though it was likely due to a majority of people evacuating.
"Maybe they're deeper inside. There has to be somewhere the villains could be using as their base." Tsu theorized as she hopped next to Momo. It was a valid idea since most of the time, the villains always had a hideout where they least expected it.
"If you're looking for anyone, you'll be disappointed." The teenage heroes stopped in their tracks as they turned to the left, only to find the stranger who took Marco leaning against the wall.
"And who are you?" Tenya questioned with a glare.
"Name's Red X. Pleasure to meet ya. I heard about students from UA being strong." Red X said while moving away from the wall, putting a hand on his hip.
"Where's Professor Marco?" Izuku asked with a glare, though Red X merely chuckled.
"Come on. You think I'm just gonna spend a few minutes telling you all about my evil plan while giving you a chance to stop me? You watch way too much tv, kids." Red X teased before his white eyes narrowed. "I can't let you go on, so do yourself a favor and go back to school."
"Reciprocal Burst!" The bottom of Tenya's pants suddenly burned off, revealing his engines before he launched himself towards Red X. He wasn't about to let the villains get the chance to use something as big as the Super Collider for their own evil purposes. Smirking under his mask, Red X pressed the button on his belt and before Tenya could grab him… he disappeared. "What?!"
"Was that his Quirk?" Ojiro asked as he and the others began looking around cautiously. Red X then appeared behind the Tail Quirk user, whistling at him. Hearing this, Ojiro quickly swung his tail towards Red X, only for the villain to grab it.
"Not bad. But I know a guy who can turn to any animal." Red X explained before he pulled Ojiro towards him, spinning him around a few times. Slamming a foot on the ground and with a small grunt, Red X threw Ojiro away. Tsu quickly launched her tongue towards Ojiro, wrapping in around his arm. "Oh no you don't, Toad." Opening a hand towards her, Red X launched a red X-shaped patch, forcing the green haired girl to dodge.
*Bang*
Red X jumped to the side in order to dodge a net that was fired by Momo, who opened her shirt while holding a net launcher. "Midoriya!"
"Detroit Smash!" Izuku, coated in green electricity, leapt over Red X, clenching his right fist as he moved in to strike. Red X was then punched on the face, sending him crashing to the floor. Landing back on the ground, Izuku narrowed his eyes towards the fallen body of Red X before he began to inch towards him.
However, Red X soon slammed a hand on the ground, causing a large glowing red to appear.
*BOOM*
A large explosion erupted from the ground, blowing a large amount of dust and dirt at the students. "A trap?!"
"You got that right, four eyes." Red X taunted while appearing behind Tenya, firing another X-shaped blast towards him, wrapping him into a tight bind. He then rushed towards the Engine Quirk user and slammed his foot into his temple, sending Tenya falling to the ground.
"Iida!" Momo and Ojiro quickly went to attack Red X, with the former wielding a Bo staff while the latter had a pair of nunchucks. The two then proceeded to attack the black and white clad villain, who either blocked or dodged each attack.
"Not bad. You two know how to fight." Red X complimented. He was genuine about it to, considering now a whole lot of people could actually give him a run for his money in terms of hand to hand combat. However, he wasn't about to let himself get take out while he was trapped in this world. Seeing Ojiro swing his tail, Red X caught it with both hands before red electricity suddenly shot out of his hands.
"AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!" Ojiro yelled in pain as the electricity coursed through his body, causing him to fall. Momo thrusted the staff towards Red X's face, only for him to move his head away while grabbing her wrist. He then threw her against a nearby wall, shooting a red liquid from his palms onto her hands, keeping her locked. The black haired teen gritted her teeth while trying to pull herself off, but Red X made sure to spray enough glue.
"Don't get me wrong. I like the view." Red X complimented, his eyes darting down to Momo's exposed bra before he brushed a finger against her cheek, making her glare at him. "But I do have a job and I'm not a fan of rape. Still, if you want, I can take you out for a-"
*Smack*
Red X grunted as a staff shot out of Momo's stomach, striking his gut and pushing him away. "Fine. Your loss."
"Midoriya, you go on without us." Tenya told his friend, who was trying to help free him from Red X's trap.
"But I can't-" Izuku started, refusing to leave his friends behind to fight. However, he realized how important it was to get the professor back and the others probably knew.
"We'll be fine. I promise." Tenya reassured his friend. "Go!" Gritting his teeth a little, Izuku reluctantly nodded before he began to run off. Red X noticed this and was about to fire another X, only for Tsu to wrap his arm with her tongue.
'I'll be back for all of you. I promise!' Izuku thought in determination as he ran off. There had to be some door that led to the Super Collider, but Izuku wasn't finding it.
However, he did notice a large vent shaft nearby.
"A vent… Of course!" Izuku told himself with wide eyes. Since the Collider is said to be located underground due to its large size, it was only natural that a ventilation system was made so no one would suffocate. After giving a mental apology to those who made the vents, Izuku kicked the cover, pulling it out and jumping inside.
Hopefully, he wasn't too late to stop them, or at the very least hold them off.
'With the League'
"Final preparations are completed."
"All systems are reaching one hundred percent max capacity."
"Interdimensional lock found."
Professor Marco swallow the lump in his throat as he saw his dedicated staff working towards activating the Super Collider. If even one of them disobeyed the orders of Shigaraki, then everyone would pay the price. He needed to get this done right here and now.
"Are you alright, Professor?" A chill ran down his spine as Shigaraki stood next to him, watching everyone work with interested red eyes. "Don't worry. If everything goes as planned, then you can all go home without a problem. But…" Shigataki then put a hand on Marco's shoulder, though he made sure to lift his pinky so Decay wouldn't kill him. "Make sure you keep a few secrets in your head, okay? Thanks."
"Shigaraki, here they are." Scarecrow called out as three of Marco's assistants helped wheel in three large gas tanks.
"Good, Crane. I knew I could count on you." Shigaraki said with a gleeful smile. "Kurogiri!" A moment later, the Warp Quirk user appeared in front of him. "Send these tanks outside. Let's give the heroes a little present."
'Outside the building'
It took a bit longer than he would've wanted, but Tsukachi was glad to see the police and Pro Heroes had arrived to help. Thanks to the efforts of class 1-A, they were able to get many of the people inside the building outside, which would make it easier for the Pros to enter. Still, with Marco and possibly his employees inside, it wasn't going to be as easy as he'd want it to be.
"Sir!" One of the police officers called out as he ran up to Tsukachi. "The squad's ready to enter. We're just waiting on your order."
"Good. Then we should get started." Tsukachi said with a serious tone, drawing out his handgun. "Alright people, let's-"
Before he could finish, a large warp gate suddenly appeared in the air, getting the attention of some. "Hey, what's that?" A Pro Hero asked in utter confusion. However, there were quite a few people who knew exactly those portals.
"Everyone, get back!" Tsukachi shouted urgently before the three gas tanks Scarecrow made fell out of them. Seeing this, the police and Pros ran out of the way as the tanks hit the ground, causing them to break out.
*HISS*
A large amount of orange gas shot out of the tanks, rapidly filling the air. "Poison?" Aizawa spoke up while putting on his goggles, having been freed by Shoto and Bakugo. Unfortunately, one police officer wasn't fast enough as the gas entered his nose.
"*Cough* what is *cough* this?!" The officer said while coughing. However, the instant he opened his eyes… he found his skin started to get covered with leeches. "Oh god… oh god… GET THEM OFF ME!" The gas began to spread in the air, blanketing the area and affecting more people.
"Mr. Aizawa, what's going on?!" Ochaco asked her teacher as she and the others heard multiple screams within the gas.
"Stay back!" Aizawa ordered his students, surveying everything with a glare. Just what has the League been working on?
"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" One Pro Hero, one donning rather colorful and cliche clothes, ran out of the gas, grabbing Aizawa by the shoulders. "GET THEM AWAY FROM ME! THERE'S MONSTERS IN THERE!"
A burst of fire shot out of the gas, hitting a nearby police car.
Two officers seemed to be fighting each other before one of them tackled the other to the ground, punching them mercilessly.
Another Pro Hero removed their mask while clawing at their face.
To say the scene in front of the students was chaotic would be an understatement. It was just like those horror movies where all crime was allowed for one night.
"My god." Was all Aizawa could say before he prepared to fight.
Whatever was going on, he and the others would need to contain it before any people were critically injured.
'Earth 1, at the same time'
*SLAM*
Nightwing let out another grunt as Clayface once again slammed his body against the concrete floor, breaking a rib or two. "How's that feel, little bird? Come on, let me hear you scream!" Clayface shouted at Nightwing,.
"No… thanks…" Nightwing tiredly mocked while giving the clay based villain a smirk, hoping it would trigger him. Clayface's response was a deep growl as he pulled Nightwing up to his face.
"You think you're so funny, huh?" Clayface asked before he continued to squeeze Nightwing, causing him to grit his teeth in pain.
"Don't kill him, Karlo. He's still mine." Deathstroke told Clayface with his arms crossed. He may want to kill Batman's first sidekick for all the times he foiled his contracts, but even he knew it was better to take revenge when the person was broken within an inch of his life.
"Enough with your pride, human." A wave of pain suddenly coursed through Deathstroke's mind, causing him to hold his head while falling on one knee. Grodd marched over to his Slade, looking down at him with a glare. "I said I would pay you, yet you still attacked me to fight Nightwing. I can see now that letting you leave is a mistake." Despite the pain he was in, Deathstroke began to reach for his handgun, only for Grodd to slap him with his large arm, sending him sliding on the ground. "Of course, I won't waste your talents by killing you. Even I know you don't die so easily."
*BEEP*BEEP*
Before anything else could happen, the controls to Grodd's Boom Tube gate suddenly began to turn on. "What's going on? Report!"
"A new dimensional signature has been caught." One of the mind controlled scientists Grodd brought said in a monotone voice as she began examining the few undamaged screens.
"Grodd, turn it off!" Nightwing shouted, dropping his joking tone in order to warn the telekinetic ape. "You don't know how dangerous that is!"
"The vigilante is correct. The energy signatures the gate is detecting is very similar to ours, yet it also contains a very dangerous element." Another scientist informed them. "If both lines converge, there is a high probability of casualties to follow, both in our dimension and the other one." Grodd took in this new information with a small grunt… before he let out a feral grin.
"Keep the device activated." Grodd ordered them.
"Grodd!" Nightwing shouted with wide eyes.
"If there are casualties from this device, then so be it. So long as the boundaries between dimensions are opened, then I am willing to sacrifice anyone." Grodd said while clenching a fist. He didn't care about any humans, and even if some of his ape brethren were among the fallen, he would continue on for his own survival.
However, everyone was soon caught off guard by the sound of sirens blaring in the outside, followed by red and blue flashing lights. "This is the BPD. Come out with your hands up!" Someone(most likely a police officer) called out from a megaphone. A helicopter began to fly above the building, a spotlight shining from the windows.
"Good. They made it." Nightwing muttered with a satisfied smile. He was glad he got the tip out to his contact in the police department. Hopefully, they brought some big guns to deal with Grodd and Clayface.
'Back in Earth 53'
"ERROR. ERROR. UNKNOWN ENERGY SOURCE HAS BEEN DETECTED." One of the computers that was operating the Super Collider responded in a robotic voice.
"What's wrong?" Marco asked as he heard the warning.
"We're not sure, sir." One of his assistants said while typing on the keyboard. "Our scanners found something and it's similar in wavelength to our Collider."
"How can that be? Has another world created its own Super Collider?!" Another scientist asked with a shocked tone. It was clear that there was life in other dimensions, yet to see how they are able to match them in terms of technology was astounding.
"Is that a problem?" Shigaraki asked Marco with a raised brow.
"P-Possibly." Marco began to explain while unintentionally stuttering. "You see, our calculations for the Super Collider are based on finding dimensions that are similar in wavelength from our world. Each world has a barrier between them and the Super Collider would help open it so both sides can see each other. But, if this new discovery merges with our Super Collider…"
"Then it could lead to some VERY dangerous results, am I right?" Scarecrow spoke up, a hint of curiosity in his voice. Marco reluctantly nodded, confirming what the villain from Gotahm theorized.
"How big of a problem will this lead to?" Shigaraki questioned Marco with a serious tone. He wasn't about to let all the funds he lent Marco and his little friends go to waste if it was just going to blow itself up.
"Theoretically… it could lead to mass destruction. And that's not counting how much our dimension might be affected. Please, we have to stop the Collider before it's too late!" Marco told the leader of the League, hoping he would see the seriousness of this situation.
But little did he and anyone know, a certain young hero was listening to the conversation from the ventilation systems.
"Mass destruction?" Izuku whispered to himself in horror. He did expect the Super Collider to be very powerful, but if it somehow malfunctioned, who knows how much damage it could cause. Izuku knew he had to stop them, but given the number of villains present, his options were limited.
He was caught off guard by the sound of an alarm going off from the computers. "SIR! The energy signature's increasing! It's synching in tune with the Collider!"
"Shigaraki, we need to shut it down!" Marco once again told Shigaraki, only for said before to grab his shirt by the collar and lift him up.
"How about you start relaxing before I accidentally put my entire hand on your face? We're going as planned." Shigaraki told Marco with a serious tone.
"B-But-"
"If what's going on is happening, then it's all the more important to start the Collider." Shigaraki explained before throwing the professor to the side. "Besides…" A grin appeared on his face again. "I think someone's trying to say hello."
'Earth 1'
There was only one word to describe what was going on inside the warehouse: Insane.
Multiple gunshots were fired by the police and Deathstroke's mercenaries. Splinters of wood and bullets were flying in the air as neither side slowed down.
"Kill them. KILL THEM ALL!" Grodd ordered the mercenaries as he picked up a police officer, slamming them onto the ground. The mercenaries followed his orders and continued their assault. The apen then turned to Deathstroke, who was still suffering from his mind attack. "Will you fight for me or will you die here, Wilson?"
"Let me be clear about one thing, Grodd." Deathstroke started, lifting his head to stare at Grodd. "When this is over, you'll be paying me double, got it? And you're giving Nightwing to me." Not seeing a problem with it, Grodd nodded before releasing the assassin from his mind attack. Standing back up, Deathstroke began to fire at the police, successfully headshotting several of them. As for Clayface, he began to swing his arm down, smacking away anyone in his way while holding Nightwing in the air.
'Well, this is bad.' Nightwing thought to himself as he continued to try and free himself, only to fail yet again. If he was to somehow freeze Clayface's hand, then it might be possible to get out, but he didn't have anything that could help. Turning his head to the gate, Nightwing's eyes widened as he saw the gate begin to spark to life. 'NO!"
"Sir, it is almost complete." One of the mind controlled scientists informed Grodd from a distance, who grinned widely.
"Activate it. I want to see this new world." Grodd ordered them mentally. Getting the command, the scientists activated the gate fully.
*CRACKLE*
However, the moment they did, a wave of red and yellow energy began to emerge from the gate, shooting out like wild lightning. "What's going on?!" One of the police officers called out as he and the others creased their fire, looking at the malfunctioning portal.
"Grodd." Deathstroke said with a serious tone at the ape, who growled in annoyance. It seemed like his puppets were right about the portal, but he wasn't going to admit it himself.
*BOOM*
Before anyone could do anything more… A large burst of energy shot out of the portal, sending everyone flying in slow motion. All electronics around the area began to malfunction and even Clayface's form was disrupted by the wave, turning him into a pile of goo. Nightwing let out a groan of pain as he pushed himself from Clayface's clay.
"Dammit… what happened?" Nightwing muttered to himself before he looked at his arms, seeing the gauntlets spark out electricity. "Great. I should've known."
*Crackle*
The sound of electricity crackling rang into Nightwing's ears as he turned to the gate, which began to shake.
"Oh on."
'Earth 53'
"ERROR. SYSTEM CALIBRATION HAS MALFUNCTIONED. EVACUATION IS RECOMMENDED."
Marco's assistants were hard at work, trying to stabilize the Super Collider, yet no matter what they did, it continued to grow worse. Marco bit on his thumb, sweat running down his head. "Shigaraki, please. Listen to me."
"You really are persistent aren't you?" Shigaraki sighed in annoyance. "This is MY Super Collider, so I get to decide what happens to it. If you try and stop me again, I'll have to take care of you." He then brought his right hand close to Marco's face, causing him to widen his eyes in horror. "Permanently."
*Rumble*
Something strange then occurred. The very ground itself began to shake, all thanks to the Super Collider as a red beam of particles shot out of it, hitting a nearby wall. However, while it seemed to be working, the computers that were helping the Collider function soon began to crack.
"Oh no." Izuku said to himself as the vents began to shake. While it was amazing to see the Collider at work, it was clear that he needed to do something. Noticing that everyone had their attention fully on the Super Collider, Izuku decided it was time to move.
"This is it. The gate to other worlds!" Shigaraki shouted in glee, ignoring the chaos going on around him. "I will keep my Master's legacy alive forever! OPEN THE GATE!"
*BANG*
Slamming a kick into the grate, Izuku leaped out of the vent at high speed, his hand extended towards Marco. Time seemed to slow down as All Might's successor was trying his best to reach Marco and pull him away.
However… he soon felt something hot moving towards him. Slowly turning his head, Izuku's eyes widened as he saw Dabi unleash blue flames towards him, a look of disdain in his eyes. 'Oh no. I can't dodge in time!'
"WARNING. WARNING. WARNINGWARNINGWARNINGWARNING…" The computer screens suddenly exploded in front of the assistants as some opted to run away.
And then… it happened.
*BOOM*
A massive pulse of energy was shot out of the Super Collider, sending everyone in the room flying. The pulse didn't stop as it continued to expand outside the building, shattering glass and deactivating any and all electronics.
Truly, it was a catastrophic event.
God, I am the king of cliffhangers, aren't I? Well, if the Spiderverse was a tv show, then I bet one episode would end with the Super Collider exploding.
Again, I am sorry for the year long hiatus in regards to this story. Writer's block is a pain in the ass, but I'm glad to at least finish this chapter. I hope you guys had fun with this chapter and yes, Red X from Teen Titans is OFFICIALLY confirmed. He was a great anti villain for the series and bringing him into this story is an opportunity I couldn't miss. Don't worry, we'll see a lot more villains appear from the Bat Family history and they will cause a lot of problems for the heroes.
I pray that the next chapter won't take a freaking year, so fingers crossed.
Follow, fav, review and PM for anything.
Next time: Hello to the new world.
