Hey guys, it's time for a new story. I've been wanting to do this story ever since the game came out and hope that you like it. I'll do my best to follow the events of the game but might add in some extra stuff. If you have any suggestions or tips don't be afraid to leave a comment after reading! This story starts just after Cere and Greez rescue Cal but before they go to Bogano. It will start with Cal's point of view and then get into my OC, Luna's, point of view. It will only switch back and forth for this chapter because it's the introduction. I haven't decided on who I want to stick with so maybe you guys can suggest something.

Ch. 1: A New Start

(Cal's POV)

I sat at the kitchen table of Greez's ship, my hands still a little jittery from everything that had happened over the past couple of days. I couldn't get yesterday out of my mind. I started the day with going to work like usual and ended it escaping the planet from the Second Sister and the Empire.

I can't even believe it.

I stayed hidden or so long; five years. I guess it was only a matter of time before they discovered that I was a Jedi. I thought I would be ready for it, but I got so used to being an ordinary citizen of Bracca that I had let my guard down...

"I'm sorry, Prauf," I muttered quietly. Prauf was my best friend on Bracca. My only friend. And he died sticking up for me. I wish I could thank him for what he tried to do but he's gone now.

Sighing, I looked up at my surroundings. The ship's name was "The Mantis" I think Greez called it. It was a decent size, and it was nicer than what I'm used to. I mean, my home back in Bracca was basically just a one-room apartment. That's all needed...and what I could afford. This ship was cool though. The kitchen, where I was at, had a long counter that contained silverware, the stove, pantry, fridge, microwave, and liquid dispensers. The table was family-sized with three individual seats on one side and then a booth-like seat on the other side. To the left of me was a long, glass window that contained soil for any plants if you decided to grow vegetables or something like that.

Outside of the kitchen was the common area. Nothing much to it other than a couple of things. A large, circular holotable sat just in the middle of the room. The holotable constantly showed a hologram of different planets. I assume these are planets that Cere and Greez were monitoring for more Jedis that had survived Order 66. To the sides of the holotable were two couches that you could probably fit two people on if they were both lying down.

Beyond the area was just the cockpit where Cere and Greez were sitting. Greez typically was the pilot of the ship while Cere worked communications and listened in on Empire radio calls.

I stared at them for a second and then back at the table. I'm not sure if I fully trust them or not. In fact, I know I don't. But...they saved me yesterday. I would be dead if they had not swooped in and took me in on their ship. Don't get me wrong, I'm extremely grateful for what they did. It's just...after five years of being fearful for my life, it's kind of hard to trust anyone. Cere told me she understood that but knew that we would trust each other eventually.

I darted my head back at them when I heard Cere stand up from her chair with a sense of urgency. Greez turned in his seat and stared at her until she finally looked at me.

"Cal, we've found another one!"

I stood up from my seat, not knowing what she was talking about exactly.

"Another one?"

"Another Jedi that survived the purge! I just heard over Empire communications that they got tipped off about a Jedi being on Hosnian Prime in Republic City. They don't know who or where they are in the city though so this our chance to save them before the Empire does!" she explained. I practically ran over to the cockpit at what I was hearing.

"Another Jedi!? We better hurry then. If it's anything like what I had to deal with yesterday then we should help them before the Empire finds out," I said, almost out of breath from the excitement and anxiety. Greez flipped a couple of switches and placed his four hands on the wheel.

"Alright, Hosnian Prime, it is. Go ahead and take a seat, kid. We'll be using The Mantis's maximum speed to get there."

I nodded and began buckling my seat belt in the third chair that was next to Greez and Cere. As soon as the buckle clicked, the ship went into hyperspace. The window of the cockpit surged forward, and it looked like an oncoming army of light rays. I looked at Cere and clutched the lightsaber in my right hand.

"What's the plan when we get there?" I asked. Cere thought about it for a minute before explaining what we should and shouldn't do.

"First, we'll land on Hosnian Prime like we normally would. The Empire on the ground will be on high alert, looking through the city for the Jedi. If they don't make themselves stand out or use the force, then they should be fine for the time being. I know you're still recovering from what happened on Bracca yesterday but you're the only one that will be able to find them. When you get near them you should be able to feel the force within them. It will probably be faint, but you will notice it. I would go myself if I had not cut myself off from the force years ago..." she said, sounding regretful. I shook my head and gave her a look of determination.

"No, I can do it. I'll keep my hood up and blend into the city. Hosnian Prime's like a huge city like in Coruscant right?"

"Yes, it will be much harder for the Empire to find a Jedi there than it was in Bracca. It will be hard for you as well, but you at least have the advantage of the force," she said. I swallowed hard and tried to think of any more questions I had.

"Are there any clues I can use to find them like if it's a boy or girl or how old they are?"

She clicked her tongue and shrugged her shoulders.

"If I had to guess, I would bet on the Jedi being young like you are. Padawans were more likely to escape than masters were during Order 66. I would try places like shops or clubs. Not sure about their sex though. If I were you, I would just walk everywhere I could in the city until I felt their presence. They will probably feel the force from you, so you'll know exactly who it's coming from," she said to me. It wasn't much to work with, but it was something.

I moved my eyes to the front of the ship as we got out of hyperspace and drifted in front of the planet, Hosnian Prime. This was my chance to find someone that could help me rebuild the Jedi Order. I need to make sure I find them, no matter what.

(Luna's POV)

I opened my emerald-green eyes at the sound of my alarm. The other girls that were sleeping in their beds groaned at me and I quietly apologized as I turned it off. I lived in a group home with about eight random people because I couldn't afford an apartment for just me. But man, I wish I could. I didn't mind staying here, but privacy was nowhere to be found.

I sat up in my bed and brushed my hands through my long, blonde hair. The length of it was about to the middle of my back. I preferred it long just because I had so many hairstyle options I could put it in. Plus, the shade of blonde always made me feel better about myself every time I looked in the mirror.

I stood up and walked to the bathroom that everyone in the building shared. I was always the first one in the shower because I had the earliest shift. The shift being at 12 o'clock noon. Don't ask me why we were still asleep by noon. You could say it was laziness, but I prefer saying that we all just liked sleeping is all. Taking my shower, I got out and dried my hair with the blow-dryer. As for make-up, I always went light with it. Never liked putting a lot on but I wasn't opposed to it.

When I was done, I walked out of the bathroom and went over to the locker room that contained everyone's things. I only had a bag with a few clothes in it, a music player, and a sketchbook that I used whenever I got bored. Yep, this was all I owned. But...It's kind of all I needed. I can't imagine needing anything else. I inputted the code on my locker and took my bag out, changing into the clothes I needed for work. I put the clothes I had slept in back in the bag and noticed the hidden zipper within the interior of the bag. I looked sadly at it and sighed. My lightsaber was in there. After all these years, I still had my lightsaber. I couldn't bear throwing it away, but I don't imagine that I'll ever use it again. The memories of it make me think about that day. The day when the stormtroopers turned on all the Jedi and hunted us down. They killed my master, but I was able to escape somehow.

I had escaped from the planet, Felucia. I basically ran to the ship when I saw the clones kill my master and hit a random coordinate on the preset list of planets. That's how I ended up here and I've been in hiding ever since. I haven't used the force once ever since that day. All I have left from my life before the purge are my memories and this lightsaber... So, there's no way in hell I'm throwing it away.

I shook my head from the depressing thoughts and zipped the bag back up. If I don't hurry, I'll be late for my shift. I work as a servant for a bar in downtown. Yeah, yeah, it's a lame job but it pays for my food and bed, so I don't mind it. Plus, it's not even that hard!

I slung the bag over my shoulder and exited the group home. The city was extra crowded today which meant that I would be serving more people today. And that meant more tips! I smiled to myself and joined the massive ocean of people going about their day.

It took five minutes to get to the bar from the group home. Before I could enter the bar, however, I couldn't help but notice that there was also a lot more stormtroopers walking around. I hated them so much. They always made me feel nervous every time they got close to me. I saw that they were asking random people questions and decided to quickly enter the bar before they could come for me.

"Ah, Luna! I thought you would be late this time!" My boss said to me when I entered the bar. I smirked at him and placed my bag into my locker. I'm really glad I don't have to worry about my things getting stolen here or at home.

"Nope! I never am!" I replied with a hint of smugness. He snorted and started wiping the counter with a wet cloth.

"Yeah, well, busy day today. It's crazy out there!"

"I know! There's a lot more troopers out there than usual too," I said in astonishment. He looked around so no one could hear and cupped his hand over his mouth.

"I heard they're looking for a possible jedi in the city. Didn't know they still existed," he said with a chuckle. My face immediately dropped, and I became shaky almost instantly. I felt my breath catch in my throat and it was like my whole body was shutting down. Though, by the looks of my boss, I was hiding my fear well.

"A Jedi...?" I asked, my heart beating a mile a minute. He nodded and continued to wipe the counter clean.

"Yeah, they better not come in here. Might hurt business."

"I hope so too..." I muttered. I turned away from him and put my hand to my chest. I needed to calm down. Are they looking for me? Or...maybe there's another Jedi in the city? I have no idea, but I do know that I cannot let them discover what I am. There's no way they would know I'm a Jedi. I've never used the force since the purge, and I've made sure not to act suspicious as much as possible!

Okay...Okay, calm down, Luna. You're okay. You're okay. Just act like you normally would and nothing bad will happen. But what if they search the bar and find my bag? No... There's no way they would just search a random bar in the city. I'll be fine. Don't fret about it too much...

I finally regained my breath and tied my apron around my waist. A couple of people walked in, the bell on the door ringing as they reached the first booth they saw. I took the menus from the counter and got to work as if everything was fine.

(Cal's POV)

We landed The Mantis in the airport terminal and everyone filed out of the ship to stretch. Cere walked over to me and told me to be careful.

"Please be careful, Cal. We can't afford to lose you. If you can't find them by sundown then return here and we'll try again tomorrow. But please stay safe."

I nodded and tightened my fists.

"I will. And I'll find them. I just know it."

"Good," she said with a smile. I returned it and slipped my hood over my head.

Time to go searching.

I left the airport terminal and was blown away by how many people were in the city. I don't think there was a spot on the street where there wasn't a person walking. Way different from Bracca...

"This might be harder than I thought..." I told myself in annoyance. It was about 2 o'clock in the afternoon so I had maybe four to five hours before sundown. I'm just going to do what Cere said, which is to just walk around until I feel something from someone. Just act like a tourist, Cal...

I started from the edge of downtown where the airport terminal was to the other side where the government building was. I went from shop to shop and just kind of looked around for a couple of minutes before leaving for the next shop. I even had to refuse merchants from selling me stuff like a real tourist. After an hour of walking through the shops and avoiding stormtroopers, it started to become cloudy overhead. The sun disappeared and it began to sprinkle rain. Good thing I had my hoodie. It would also help me blend in more.

"Damn," I cursed under my breath as I reached the last shop on the strip and still found nothing. I guess I'll try the other side. Another hour came and went and still nothing! Damn it, this is so annoying! I'm never going to find them at this rate. Nobody on the street made me feel the force so I already checked there...

"Oh, crap."

I put my hand on my stomach as it suddenly growled. I was starving! I probably should've had a snack on the ship when I had the chance. Oh well, I have to check the restaurants here anyway. And if I don't find anything here then I'll move to the next large part of the city. Looking around, I searched for the closest restaurant to me. To my right, I saw a neon sign for a bar and restaurant hybrid.

STARSHIP BAR AND RESTAURANT – BEST FOOD IN THE CITY

Hmm, seems promising. I can probably just get something to hold me over until I get back to The Mantis.

I crossed the street and walked into the bar, the automatic bell on top of the door ringing. The waitresses seemed busy, so I decided to sit at a random booth. I sat down with a heavy sigh and rested my chin on my palm. Haven't found anything, but at least I haven't gotten any trouble from any stormtroopers yet...

"Welcome to Starship Bar! I'm Luna, and I'll be your server t-"

My eyes widened and I looked up at the waitress as she stopped midway through her sentence. There it was! The force! I could feel it deep within my chest! And by the looks of it, she did too. The girl looked to be around the same age as me; seventeen or eighteen, give or take. Her skin was a soft beige color tone, and her long hair was a creamy blonde, not quite platinum. Her eyes were widened as she looked at me, which let me see the color without issue. They were a leaf green; brighter than my own.

There was no questioning it. I felt the force from her. She's the one I've been looking for.

(Luna's POV)

I collected the plates from the table as my customers left the bar. I smiled when I saw the tip they left. It was nearly a quarter of what they paid for! I took the tip and slipped it in my apron pocket, resuming my plate collecting straight after. I heard the bell of the door and reminded myself to get that customer once I took these plates to the kitchen. Making a pile, I lifted all the silverware with my arms and quickly went to the kitchen. I set the plates beside the sink and then washed my hands.

"Luna, your break's coming up. You want to go ahead and take it?" One of my coworkers asked me. I looked out into the bar and then back at them.

"Let me get this last customer and then I'll take it."

They nodded and I grabbed my pen and notebook to take the person's order. I walked back into the dining room and glanced around for the new customer. My eyes stopped on a single guy sitting in one of the booths and headed to him. On my way, I noticed he seemed a little down in the dumps. He had his chin resting on his palm and he was staring at the table. Maybe I can cheer him up somehow.

"Welcome to Starship Bar! I'm Luna, and I'll be your server t-"

I stopped as a sudden rush of energy flowed through me. It was energy I had not felt in a long time, but I knew what it was as soon as it hit me. I felt a tingling in my chest and my eyes widened at the boy in front of me. It was such a soothing feeling but that anxiety I was feeling earlier today came back to me like the shot of a stormtrooper's blaster.

It was the force.

The boy's eyes widened, and he looked at me in as much surprise as I was looking at him. His skin was a slightly softer tone than mine and I noticed a faint scar on the bridge of his nose and his cheek. He had a soft hue of freckles across his face and his eyes were a darker green than my bright green ones. He was wearing a hood, but I could still see that his hair was a ginger red in color.

I was so shocked by the feeling of the force that I dropped my pen and it hit the floor next to my shoe. He blinked and bent down, grabbing the pen and handing it to me.

"U-Um...T-Thanks." I squeaked out as if I was a mouse. He nodded and finally spoke.

"Did you feel what I just felt?" He whispered as quietly as possible. His tone was serious and for good reason. I looked around and no one was paying attention to us. I looked back at the boy and nodded quickly. He gave a sigh of relief and looked deep into my eyes.

"Can we talk, please?" He asked. My natural instinct was to tell him 'no' but if he was the same as me, a survivor of the purge, I knew I had to talk to him. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity.

"Yes. Hold on, I'm going to tell them I'm going on my break," I said through a shaky voice. He nodded and rested his arms on the table. Again, my heart was beating nonstop as I told my coworkers I was taking my break. I took off my apron and carried it over with me to the table where the boy was sitting. I sat down across from him and it was silent for a second. I had no idea what to say but my mouth moved without me even knowing.

"I thought I was the only one who survived..." I whispered quietly. This whole conversation would have to be as discreet as possible if we wanted no one to notice. The boy gave me a saddened look.

"Me too...Until we heard that the Empire was looking for a Jedi on Hosnian Prime..."

I tilted my head at him.

"We?"

"Yeah. Yesterday...the Empire discovered me on my own planet, Bracca. I was forced to use the force to save a friend and that notified them to start looking on the planet. Well, they found me during a train search and I barely escaped."

I listened to him intently, surprised to hear that he had managed to escape the Empire.

"How did you escape?" I asked.

"I was running through the train system because they had accidently dropped me off a ledge when they searched my train. As I was running, this ship came flying by me and this woman, Cere, yelled that they were there to help. After going through a few stormtroopers, I landed on a platform where the Second Sister was waiting," he said. It obviously pained him to be visiting the memory again. I let out a small gasp and leaned forward.

"The Second Sister?"

He nodded.

"Yeah, and I fought her for...a minute, I think. She was definitely stronger than me, but Cere and her ship arrived where I was and helped me escape the Second Sister before she could kill me..."

"That's unbelievable...How did you find me?" I asked him. I had so many questions because I literally had no person to talk to about this ever since the purge happened. He leaned forward in his seat too as he continued explaining things to me.

"Cere is able to listen to Empire communications and they said that they had started to look for a Jedi on Hosnian Prime in Republic City. Knowing this was our chance to save another Jedi, we raced here, and I began looking for you. Cere told me that I would feel the force when I found you and I did. I don't know how the Empire knows there's a Jedi here but I'm asking you to please come with us," he said in full sincerity. I looked down and then at my coworkers.

"Leave here? Just out of nowhere?"

"I know it sounds scary and I'm still not used to leaving my planet either but it's the only way to ensure that you aren't killed. The Empire will search through every single person until they find you. If you come with us, I know we can help rebuild the Jedi Order together."

He gently laid his hand on mine and I didn't move it away from him. It was such a comforting feeling. And what he was telling me was true. They would find me eventually...

"Jedi Order? Are there others?" I questioned him, hoping he would say yes. He sighed and shook his head.

"No, just us. Yesterday, I thought it was just me. I can't tell you how much of a relief it is to know there's someone else that experienced what I experienced that day five years ago...Which is why I'm asking you to come with me. Please..." He pleaded. His eyes glistened at me and I felt my own eyes water up. It took me five seconds to nod my head to him.

"O-Okay. I'll go with you."

His eyes widened and his face relaxed into a gentle smile.

"Thank you. Thank you so much."

I smiled back at him and nodded again.

"Of course. I don't think there's anything left for me here anyway. I've just been trying to survive."

"I know the feeling," he muttered. He then made a face and rubbed the back of his head.

"I uh...forgot to ask you what your name was," he said with a nervous laugh. I smiled down at my hands and then looked back at him.

"I forgot too. I'm Luna. Luna Valerian. What's yours?"

"I'm Cal. Cal Kestis. Are you able to leave now?"

I stood up and told him I could. I would just have to make something up. I walked over to my boss and made my eyes water by tightening my throat. I didn't go up to him until I was on the verge of tears. He jumped back when he saw my face.

"L-Luna! What's the matter!?"

"I...I feel really really sick right now. I-Is it okay if I leave early today?" I asked him in the saddest way possible. I tried to make it look legit and I was succeeding. He nodded over and over and led me out to the locker room.

"Of course! Of course! We have too many workers here anyway. You come back when you're feeling better, okay?"

"O-Okay," I sniffed. I hated lying to him, but I didn't want to just leave without saying anything. I told him goodbye and got my stuff from my locker. I headed out of the room and Cal was there waiting for me at the front door.

"You ready? You don't need to get anything at your place before we leave?"

I shook my head, no.

"This is all I have. I'm ready."

"Okay, then we'll head straight for the airport terminal."

He opened the door for me and we both walked out of the bar into the street. I felt water hit the top of my head and scowled.

"Damn, it's raining."

Cal looked up at the sky and then remembered something.

"Oh! I actually bought an umbrella from one of the shops where I was looking for you. It had started raining so I thought maybe if I did find you, you would appreciate an umbrella on the way back to the airport terminal," he laughed.

"Wow, well I do appreciate it," I said with a smile as he handed me the umbrella. I hated when my hair got wet, so this was perfect, "Thanks, Cal."

"No problem," he said with a matching smile, "Now, let's hurry back."

I nodded and we started making our way to the airport terminal. I glanced at Cal as he walked beside me. I know it sounds stupid to just blindly go with someone you don't know but my situation is different. I wouldn't have gone with him if I hadn't felt the force from him when we first met. Knowing that he was a Jedi helped me immensely in my decision to go. And when he told me how he escaped the Empire yesterday from his own planet...I could see the desperation in his eyes. I've had the same look whenever I look in the mirror. Life on Hosnian Prime hasn't been perfect. For the past five years I've been struggling just to support myself without giving myself away. There's nothing for me here...and I think almost anything would be better if it meant I could make my life better.

"Okay, the airport terminal is coming up. The ship is near the entrance of the terminal. I already told you about Cere, but I didn't tell you about Greez."

"Greez?" I asked in curiosity. He let out a small laugh.

"Yeah, he's a lateron. He can be annoying, but I've found that if you compliment his ship then he'll like you almost instantly."

I smiled at the suggestion.

"Okay, I'll try to remember that when I meet them. Are they nice for the most part?" I asked. I hated dealing with mean people. I always got my feelings hurt too easily.

"Yeah, they're cool for the most part. It's gonna take some getting used to though. I know it's hard to trust anyone at this point."

It's like he knows exactly what I'm thinking.

We reached the entrance to the airport terminal and heard a siren go off near the downtown part of the city. Turning around, we saw stormtroopers gather up in the street and physically search people rather than just questioning them.

"Deciding to go with you? Good call," I said through heavy breaths.

"I'm glad you did. There's no telling what they would've done to you. Come on, let's get out of here."

He started jogging to his ship and I matched his pace. My stress level was starting to go up more and more each second. The siren coming from the city wasn't helping at all. Cal pointed at a silver ship in front of us and I realized that that was The Mantis. It was larger than I thought it would be. It definitely looked like it could fit multiple people comfortably. That was a relief. The hatch to the ship was open so Cal and I ran up it to enter the ship. Upon entering the ship, we stopped in front of two people. One was a black woman, who I assumed to be Cere. The other was a latero, which had to be Greez. Cere saw us come in and her mouth fell all the way open.

"Cal, you found her! I'm so glad!" She exclaimed. She held her hand out to me and I shook it. She had a strong, yet gentle grip.

"I'm Cere. We heard the Empire was trying to find you so we flew here as quick as we could!"

"I'm Luna. Cal told me everything. Thank you so much for coming! I had no idea this was going to happen but I'm glad I decided to come here with him. They're already starting to search people without asking for their permission," I informed her. I'm sure I sounded scared when I told her that. That's probably because I was scared. I was scared out of my mind right now. She clenched her jaw and shot her head at Greez.

"We best get going then."

"You don't have to tell me twice! I'm getting our asses off this horrible planet! And hi, kid. I'm Greez! Nice to meet ya!" He said as he rushed to the cockpit. I gave him a smile and remembered what Cal told me to do.

"It's nice to meet you too, Greez. And your ship is really cool!"

He stopped and looked back at me with a grin on his face.

"Ha! I like her already!"

He then turned back to the cockpit and plopped down in the pilot seat. I looked at Cal and he rolled his eyes jokingly. I smiled and gave a small laugh. It was so weird laughing in an urgent situation like this, but I actually felt safer with these three than I had with anyone else on this planet. I've always felt alone so this feeling was a welcomed one.

"Everyone, hold on!" Greez yelled as the ship rattled and rose from the ground. I stumbled for a second, not being used to being on a ship, and Cal motioned me to the sofa near us. I sat down and held onto the metal bar that was below it. If we could leave here and then enter hyperspace, then I could let out the breath I've been holding in ever since that siren started blaring over the entire city. Cal sat next to me and gripped the same bar I was holding on to. He looked as stressed as me.

"Okay, everything's good to go. Let's leave this place and never come back!" Greez yelled as the ship rose out of the airport terminal and headed towards the atmosphere of Hosnian Prime. I closed my eyes tightly, waiting for something bad to happen. After a few seconds, I felt Cal's hand touch my shoulder and I opened my eyes again.

"It's okay. We're in hyperspace now."

I looked at the cockpit and he was right. We were traveling through hyperspace. I put my hand over my chest and let out a huge sigh. Cal smiled widely at me.

"Yeah, you can finally breathe now."

"Honestly, I've been holding in that sigh for five years," I said with a laugh.

"Trust me, I did the same when I finally escaped from my planet too. I don't know where we're going from here but at least you have some support," he told me.

"That's right. And if you have any questions, I'm here to answer them," Cere said, coming from the cockpit. I stood up from the sofa and brought my hands together.

"Thank you! I don't know how I would be able to repay you for this."

She shook her head with a smile and looked at Cal.

"You don't need to. We stick together. The only thing we can do now is work on rebuilding the Jedi Order...if that's even possible. But for today, we're going to give you some space because I'm sure you're not feeling the greatest right now. Tomorrow, I'll fill you in on everything you need to know. For now, though, why don't you give Luna a tour of the ship, Cal?"

"Oh! Yeah, I can do that," Cal said with confidence. She smiled and laid her hand on my shoulder.

"And get some rest, Luna. You've earned it."

I smiled and thanked her one last time before she went back to the cockpit. I feel like I'm thanking them over and over and over. But I'm thankful okay! I turned to Cal and he smiled.

"You ready for a tour?"

"Mhm," I hummed in excitement.

"Okay, so first this is the common area, so we have a holotable that shows different planets and then the cockpit where Greez pilots the ship and Cere deals with communications."

He led me to the left where it looked like there was a whole entire kitchen and eating area. This ship was awesome!

"This is the kitchen and table where we eat. Right here is a place to grow plants like vegetables. You know, that type of thing."

We then walked into a hallway to the right of the kitchen. To the right was a small staircase that led down to the engine room. On our level, there were four pathways that led to bedrooms. And straight ahead was a workbench.

"Down there is the engine room that contains two escape pods in case we ever need them. To the right is my bedroom, the upper-right room is Cere's and the one across from it is Greez's room. So, that would make the room across from mine your bedroom," he said. My eyes practically sparkled at what he just said. It sounded too good to be true.

"I get a bedroom to myself?"

"Huh? Of course! It would be a little weird if you had to sleep with one of us," he joked. I giggled as he opened the door. The room was small, but it was more than enough room for me. It contained a bed, a desk, a closet, and a tinted window. To the side of the room was a small compartment that included a toilet and shower. I couldn't believe my eyes.

"Is that...?"

I pointed at the door and Cal smiled with a nod.

"Yep, your own bathroom too."

I felt like fainting. Privacy has been restored!

"Something tells me you didn't have your own room and you also didn't have your own bathroom," Cal said with a snicker. I shook my head and admired the mirror that was in the bathroom.

"I literally had to sleep in a room with eight random people because it was the only thing I could afford. And there was only one bathroom for all of us so...it's safe to say this is such an improvement!"

He couldn't stop smiling and his cheeks went red for a second.

"Well, I'm glad you like it. This is way better than what I had back on Bracca too. Do you need help unpacking or anything?" He asked as he sat down on the bed. My bed. I sat down next to him and took the bag from my shoulder.

"No, since I've only got this bag, but I wouldn't mind it if you stayed while I unpacked."

I set the bag in between us and began taking stuff out.

"I don't have many clothes but it's enough to not wear the same thing every day of the week. I also have a sketchbook and music player with a lot of songs on it. I would listen to it during my lunch breaks," I told the red-headed boy as I took out the music player.

"Oh, nice! I have a music player too! Maybe we can listen to each other's music when we have more free time," he suggested.

"That sounds really fun! Yeah, we can do that! And then I have this..." I said, taking out my lightsaber. It was a fine silver and black on the ends. The grip fit my hand perfectly and the ridges made me not want to let go. "...I haven't used this or turned it on since that day..." I murmured before I clicked the button and the lightsaber turned on. A green sword of light rose out from the base of the handle and the sound of the energy coming from it echoed off the room's walls. I stared at it for a second before chuckling.

"Green's my favorite color. What color is yours?"

He smiled and took out his saber. Turning it on, he revealed a blue sword of light.

"I always liked the blue one," he laughed. I smiled and shrugged.

"They both look cool. I'm a little rusty with it though."

"Don't worry, I am too. We'll practice with it before we do anything," he said. He then suddenly clutched his stomach and groaned, making me jump with worry. He shook his head in a way that signified that he was okay.

"Ugh, I forgot that I was starving. That's why I walked into your bar. To get something to eat. Crazy, huh? There's food in the kitchen. Plus, Greez is a pretty good cook, believe or not! You want to go eat something?"

He stood up and walked to the door.

"Yeah, I'm just gonna take this all in real quick," I replied. He smiled and pointed in the direction of the kitchen with his thumb.

"Take all the time you need. I'll be in there when you're ready."

"Okay, thanks, Cal."

He walked out of the room with a nod and went into the kitchen, leaving me alone in the room. I looked back at my bag and took all of the clothes out of it. I folded them all and put them in the small closet near the corner of the room. I placed my music player and lightsaber on the desk before sitting on the bed. I looked around the room and felt the comforter of the bed with my fingers. Laying back, the bed was so comfortable and inviting. I felt my eyes water up and a few tears ran down my face.

Happy tears.

This all felt so unreal. I didn't have to feel like I was being watched constantly while on the ship. Everyone was nice to me and Cal is really cool! This ship is amazing. This room is amazing. Everything is amazing! I wiped the tears from my face and sat up on the bed.

This was my chance to start over. A chance to have a good life.

I got up from the bed and headed towards the kitchen where Cal was. I don't know what my future will be, but I do know that this is what I needed to boost my confidence. I hope that, whatever comes our way, that I'll have the strength to stand up to it.

I'm done hiding.

And that is the end of the chapter! This was actually pretty long! Chapters will probably be around 3000-5000 words long each. It depends. I don't really have a set updating schedule for it either, but I'll try to update when I can. Don't be afraid to tell me what you guys think of the chapter and thanks for reading!
