Hey guys, it's time for another chapter! I hope you guys liked the new art of Cal and Luna because I love it! Please leave a review and comment on the chapter when you get done reading it. It really motivates me to write more chapters! I decided to make this chapter in Cal's POV because I thought it might be interesting! Finally, here's the chapter!

Ch. 13: The Zeffo Temple

(Cal's POV)

I opened my eyes with a slight groan escaping my lips. Considering Luna and I had to sleep on the floor, it wasn't as bad as you might think. I got in a few good hours of sleep, which is better than nothing. I tried sitting up but felt a weight on my right side that was keeping me down. I looked to my right and saw Luna sleeping soundly, her arms wrapped around mine like a pillow. I had forgotten that we slept so close together last night, not that I'm complaining. She looked so tranquil right now. Her long blonde hair was sprawled out over the blanket she had brought. She didn't snore at all, her breathing coming out muted. I moved my gaze past her and saw that BD-1 was sound asleep as well.

Man, what would I do without these two?

I know I've only known them for a short time, but it feels like forever. I haven't felt this happy with where I am in a long time. I feel like I can talk to Luna about anything, and BD's a great listener too. I can't imagine doing all of this alone. Sometimes I shudder thinking about the life I had in Bracca. I spent most of the time at work and when I was off, I usually stayed in bed. I was too afraid to go out in fear that a stormtrooper would recognize me as Jedi. But now, I have Luna and BD-1 with me. Even though I'm fighting against the Empire now, I'm certain that I'm better off this way.

I think it's time for everyone to wake up. Using my other hand, I gave Luna a gentle nudge until her eyes started to open. She made a tiny whimper as she opened her eyes completely, revealing to me two bright green irises.

"Hmm?"

"Time to wake up," I said to her quietly, trying not to annoy her after she just woke up. She slowly sat up but didn't let go of my arm. She rubbed her eyes and groaned.

"Ugh, I still feel tired. I wish we could sleep all day."

"You'll probably be wide awake after a few minutes," I informed her with a growing smile.

"I hope so…BD-1? Time to get up, BD-1!" she yelled to the droid. BD-1 sat there for a second in silence before powering on again. He shook his entire body before jumping in place. It almost looked like he was performing a morning exercise. He was too adorable for his own good.

"Today, we explore the new Zeffo tomb, remember?" I said to Luna, trying to get her to wake up even more. Her eyes widened, and she stood up, letting go of me completely.

"Oh crap, that's right! We should be learning some new stuff from Cordova about the Zeffo. I hope it brings us closer to the holocron. The sooner we have it, the quicker we can start protecting the children on that list from the Empire."

That was the plan. Whether we execute it correctly or not all depends on us. Luna and I got a quick bite to eat before we started moving again. We packed up all our stuff and headed in the Zeffo tomb's direction. Like Luna said yesterday, ahead was a series of walls over a deep dark abyss. This planet had a lot of those…Anyway, she and I ran across the walls until we reached the other side. Things were beginning to look familiar as we continued along. The signature Zeffo design was returning, which meant we had to be close to the tomb. Luna and I came up to a dead end with a crack in the wall.

"I got this," I said. I brought my hand back and then shoved it forward, causing the wall to break in. Behind it was a long slit in another wall. It looked like it would fit us if we moved through it sideways.

"I think we found it," Luna said as she began to insert herself into the wall. I followed her and sifted along for a couple of minutes.

"Geez, this is long. I'm starting to get claustrophobic," I told her with a grunt.

"We're almost there. I can see the end," she replied. We kept moving for another 30 seconds before we finally reached the end. I stretched my arms out now that I had more space to work with and then looked up. In front of us was a huge dome structure with a Zeffo statue attached to it. Ember glass windows adorned the sides of the building like that of a church.

"Wow, this is amazing," Luna said. I put my hands on my hips and stared at the building. I was getting that bad feeling again…

"Should we let Cere know?"

I looked away from the building and saw that Luna was talking to me.

"What? Oh! Yeah, we should…"

I connected the comm to Cere and began speaking.

"Cere, we found the tomb…Cere, we need to talk when Luna and I get back. Why didn't you tell us about Trilla?" I asked. Instead of Cere's voice, however, it was the voice of someone sinister.

"Because she's a liar."

It was Trilla's voice. Luna and I jumped at the sound of her voice. How is she speaking to us right now!?

"How are you on here?" I asked angrily.

"I rerouted the communications as soon as you tried connectecting to her. Don't forget I used to be Cere's apprentice. Everything she knows, I know. In fact, I would say I'm even better at them than she is."

I immediately cut the comm off and looked at Luna.

"Looks like we're on our own."

"You know, she's beginning to annoy me."

I agreed with her and gave up on the comm entirely. I really didn't feel like talking to Trilla anymore for the day, or ever if possible. We both decided to not even talk about it as we went deeper into the Zeffo temple. We had to focus on this rather than what she told us about Cere. We jumped across a few rocks to get inside the large domed building we had seen just a moment ago. We were met with a Zeffo guardian shooting a laser at us. Nothing's changed…

"Look out!" I yelled as we both dived out of the way. The guardian stomped toward us and, Luna slowed it down with the force. I took this time to attack and was able to put it down in enough time.

"Nice! That went well!" she cheered. I smiled and nodded.

"Yeah I think we've found our blueprint strategy for these guys."

"Pretty much. They aren't as difficult as when we first encountered them. That just means we're getting stronger," she said as we walked into the next room. This was the first major room in the temple, and it was surprisingly empty. The room was circular and filled with water. At the center of the room was a round indent with a large ball sitting near the back of the chamber. Luna looked down at the water next to me.

"I love these boots because they don't allow water to seep in them. I cannot tell you how irritating it is when that happens."

I couldn't help but laugh at her.

"I have an idea. This room looks like a familiar zeffo puzzle. Ball in hole again?" I asked, already knowing the answer.

"Let's see," she replied, going over to the ball and pushing it into the hole. Her action caused a portion of the wall to open up, revealing to us a new path. The new room contained a staircase that was covered in wooden vines. It reminded me of the twisted trees of Kashyyyk. In front of the vines was a small console tower. On the top of it was a button that was just waiting to be pressed. I glanced at Luna as she was staring at it.

"What do you think it does?" she asked, not taking her eyes off it. I took a step forward and pressed my palm on it.

"Only one way to find out."

The button could have shot knives out of the wall. It could've made the floor cave through, sending us to our deaths. Instead, a magnetic ball came out of the wall in front of us and flew into the opposite wall. This force activated a heating mechanism and engulfed the wooden vines in flames. Luna and I blinked in surprise at the sudden explosion.

"Well then," Luna said.

We watched the flames burn up the wooden vines until there was nothing else. At that moment, a voice we knew spoke up. It was Cordova's.

"My friends, these devices seem to stimulate the planet's gravitational pull. I can't help but see it as a motif," he said before his voice disappeared.

"What does he mean by that?" Luna questioned. I was having some trouble figuring that out as well.

"Maybe he meant we'll be seeing more of that as we go through the temple. That's the best thing I can come up with."

"Hmm, sounds good to me."

Beyond where the vines had stood was a winding corner leading to what looked like the main room in the temple's dome. The entire floor was covered in flowing water, and waterfalls lined the walls like curtains. It was amazing! A fresh breeze blew throughout the room and made my fiery hair brush back gently. I felt like my lungs were being massaged or something! On second thought, that sounds kind of gross. I glanced at Luna, and she was looking around with a mildly nervous countenance on her face. She was also gliding her hands over her golden hair like she was worried about it.

"Luna?"

She jumped in place and shot a look at me, dropping her hands to her side.

"Sorry! I was zoned out for a second there."

"Are you okay?" I asked slowly. She tilted her head in confusion.

"What do you mean?"

I stopped in place, and she did as well.

"Well…You looked like you were anxious about something. You kept darting your eyes from side-to-side as soon as we walked in the room," I said. She still looked confused until her eyes widened, and she waved me off.

"Don't pay attention to that. I'm just being weird, as usual," she dismissed. Okay, now I had to know what she was talking about. BD, who had been listening to us on my shoulder, chimed in and asked her to specify with a set of beeps and trills. Luna looked from me to BD and then huffed.

"Fine! It's dumb, but I was worrying about my hair getting wet!"

She extended her hand out around the room and then dropped it to her side again.

"...Look at this room! It's covered in waterfalls, and the floor itself is covered in water too! For one day, I would like my hair to be nice and dry rather than plastered to my face! It's really annoying. Okay, I'm done complaining now…These are just some things going on in my head which is why I try to keep you two from hearing it," she laughed. I smiled and peered down at my boots, splashing the water underneath them.

"I don't know…exploring your mind sounds like it would be fun. And you know that BD-1 and I aren't going to judge you for how you look, right? You're beautiful no matter how wet your hair gets," I told her, astonished at myself for actually saying that. I hope she didn't think that that was weird. Fortunately, a gentle smile appeared on her face, and she began brushing her hair with her hands again.

"I know…Thanks, Cal."

Okay, good. That seemed to make her feel better. I tried to think of something funny to say, and the best I could come up with was self-deprecating.

"Besides, Have you seen me? I look like a wreck most of the time!"

She gave me a light and innocent push with the roll of her eyes.

"Shut up, you do not! You're perfect the way you are."

She looked around the area again and walked towards the center of the room.

"What do you think this room is for?"

"Probably another puzzle," I said. There was an intricate platform in the middle of the room with a deep neverending hole within it. Above the hole was another magnetic ball just waiting for us to do something with it. You can say what you want about the Zeffo, but you have to admit they've got style. Right in front of the edge of the hole was another console tower, similar to the one before. I pressed it out of curiosity, and a huge magnetic cube dropped from the ceiling and hit the floor behind us, splashing water all over us.

"Oh, come on!" Luna yelled out as she looked down at her clothes. I resisted the urge to laugh out loud and managed to just let out a snicker. I put my attention on the cube that had just dropped and tried to figure out why it was there. I then noticed a small incline rubbing against one side of the cube. It was inclined in a way that made it impossible to move the cube in that direction. That, or incredibly difficult, even with the force. I looked to the right of the cube, and my eyes stopped at the wall. They traveled up the wall and stopped at a blanket of leaves that fell over it.

"I bet you five credits that there's a hidden pathway behind those leaves," Luna said, pointing at it. Damn, she was quicker than me this time.

"I thought you were too busy worrying about your clothes being wet," I said with a smirk.

"Nah, sometimes I just like being dramatic. Again, don't pay attention to the weird shit I do or say."

She walked up to the cube and force pushed it to the wall. I patted BD-1's head while I watched her climb the cube and touch the leaves. Sure enough, her hand fell through them, revealing a new path.

"You owe me five credits," she muttered as she climbed the ledge.

"Hmm, what makes you think I have any credits at all?" I asked, following her up the ledge. She stopped and spun around to face me.

"Didn't you say you were a rigger?"

"Yep, I also remember saying that the pay was pretty bad," I laughed solemnly. She gave me a look of pity.

"Yeah…Being a waitress wasn't exactly a preferred career choice for me either."

Her pitied look then turned into one of praise. "...I will say it didn't require the amount of physical labor that you had to endure at your job. Though, I think that worked out pretty well for you," she said, giving my bicep a teasing squeeze. I'm not afraid to admit that I blushed from her saying and doing that. I might as well play along.

"I did have to use my upper body a lot, climbing all those platforms and beams."

"It shows," she said back, almost like she had it already prepared. I looked at the ground bashfully and chuckled.

"Thanks. You had to be the most fit waitress at the diner, right?"

Really, Cal? That's the best response you could come up with? She looked at me, smiled, then looked away.

"You could say that…I was the only one who actually worked out. Sometimes the other waitresses would ask me why I focused on staying fit all the time. I just amounted it to how I trained during my Jedi days. I never told them that, though. I usually made something up about how I was trying to impress a guy at the gym or something. That excuse worked like a charm."

I bit my lip subconsciously.

"But there was never a guy, right?"

She snorted in amusement.

"Nope. I usually went into the gym, did what I had to do, and left. I listened to music the whole time, so even if a guy tried hitting on me, I probably didn't hear him. Even if I was interested in a guy, I never had the courage to go talk to him, so I focused on just the workout most of the time."

We reached the end of the long hallway, and a Zeffo guardian lit up in front of us. We'll have to resume this conversation after. I ignited my lightsaber and force pushed the guardian into the wall. The wall crumbled from the impact, and it managed to stun the tall and daunting robot man. Luna used this opportunity to stab her green lightsaber through its heart. She then gripped the handle tighter and forced her weight downward. The lightsaber quickly traveled down the guardian's body until she reached the end of the groin. Turning her lightsaber off, she backed away to where I was standing, and we watched as the figure slid down the wall. The light that had lit up at us died away, leaving only the blue hue of my lightsaber. I clicked my saber off and attached it to my belt.

"I was the same way. I kept my head down and got my workout done before leaving. I've never been very social anyway. With you, I didn't have that much trouble talking to you. It surprised me a lot when I thought about it after the first day," I told her, getting back to our conversion before the giant Zeffo guardian rudely interuppted us.

"Why do you think that was?" she asked.

I thought for a minute.

"You would think it would be because I had to. Jedi need to stick together since there's so few of us, but it wasn't that. I think it was the fact that you're so kind and we're the same age with similar interests. It's just really easy to talk to you, Luna."

"Same goes to you, Cal. I wish we had known each other at the Jedi temple. Now that I think about it, I wonder what tiny Cal looked like," she pondered, tapping her finger on her chin. I cringed a little bit and shook my head.

"No, you don't. Tiny Cal was a scrawny dork," I laughed. She grinned as we walked into the next area.

"I can totally see that. Just focus on the fact that you aren't anymore," she said, trying to lift my spirits.

It worked.

"I'm glad! You don't see me as one, do you, BD-1?"

BD made a sarcastic beeping pattern as a response.

"Oh, shut up," I muttered humorously. I took in the new room in front of us as Luna made a clashing remark to the little robot on my shoulder. The area was filled with multiple pillars with ivy wrapped around them that we could climb. I followed the pillars to the end of the room and noticed that they slowly increased in height with each pillar. They had to lead back to the main room somehow. There was a second floor in the main room, but there was no way for us to get to it without falling into the giant hole under the magnetic ball. When I looked back at Luna, she was still arguing with BD-1 over whether I was a scrawny dork or not.

"Let's get climbing," I told them with a chuckle. I jumped to the first pillar and latched myself to the ivy. Luna followed suit, and we made our way from pillar to pillar. There was nothing to stall our progression. No stormtroopers, no droids, no deadly mountain goats…Just the constant fear of falling into the abyss below, but when has that ever stopped us?

"You tired yet?" I asked once we had gotten to the last pillar. My arms were beginning to sting from the continuous climbing, and I was starting to pant. Back on Bracca, it was at least raining every day, so it cooled me off if I was doing something extra strenuous. Here, I was sweating my ass off. Luna wasn't faring much better.

"I can keep going," she replied beside me. She was panting too. I was really impressed by the fact that she was keeping up with me. She compliments me all the time about how I have a lot of strength and stamina, but so does she.

"Okay, cool."

I finally felt the top of the pillar with my hand and pulled myself up. I turned around and helped Luna up next to me.

"I might need a water break now," she said through drawn out breaths. I smiled and took a water bottle out of my bag. I gave it to her, and she gulped down what had to be half the bottle. She handed it back to me, and I took a few sips from it. We didn't care about sharing the same bottle. We're both hygienic, so it's okay. Turning around, we saw a bridge that led into the main room.

Damn, I'm good.

I felt my pocket vibrate and knew it was the comm link trying to activate. No doubt it was Trilla attempting to talk to us again. I looked at Luna, and she was shaking her head.

"No, don't answer it. She'll only try to get into our heads again. But…do you think Cere and Greez are okay?" she asked quietly. I felt like I had a strong enough connection to them to be confident in my answer.

"I haven't sensed a change in the force, so I think so. Come on, let's get going. The faster we reach the end of the temple, the quicker we can get back to them."

She nodded, and we crossed the bridge. The bridge was long, and parts of it were run down. We made sure to watch our step in case the ground collapsed from underneath us. At some point, near the end of the bridge, we could see a group of troopers. They just so happened to be blocking the path to the main room too…

"Of course they're in the way," I mumbled.

Most of the men were normal troopers except for one of them. He looked like a purge trooper, who were always a pain in the ass to fight. I usually end up with one or two bruises after every encounter. I'm cool with that as long as Luna is alright.

"How do you think we should approach them? The bridge is broken, so it's not like we can just run at them," she said to me. There was a winding path that led up to the underside of their part of the bridge, so I figured we could climb up from there.

"How about we just go around there and then ambush them from underneath?"

"Sounds like a plan," she quickly responded. She always went along with whatever I suggested. I did the same with her. She was so agreeable. If we ever get into an argument, it would have to be something really bad.

It didn't take us long to sneak our way to the other side of the broken bridge. We could hear the troopers talking about Trilla overhead.

"Why haven't we seen any Jedi yet?" one of them asked their commanding officer.

"Just be patient. Second Sister said they were around here. I don't know about you, but I don't think it would be a smart thing to doubt her judgment. Now, stop asking questions. Stay alert, trooper."

I got tired of hearing them, so I lifted myself on the bridge and turned on my lightsaber. I slashed the first trooper to death, and Luna killed the second. The third and fourth troopers tried shooting at us, but we just reflected their blaster bolts right back at them. That left only the purge trooper.

"So, you finally showed up. I can't wait to drag both of your dead, lifeless bodies back to Second Sister. I've been working on a promotion," he said to us in a deep and haunting voice. Luna and I looked at each other, and I knew she cringed a little bit when he said that. I glared at the trooper and tightened my fist around my lightsaber.

"That's not going to happen."

The purge trooper clicked on two batons, and purple electricity flowed through them like an electric rod. I ran at him and tried to go for his midsection, but he sidestepped me. He snapped his arm back and hit me in the back with one of his batons. I grunted in pain and tried to shake off the electricity coursing through my body. With his back towards her, Luna went for his leg and cut one of them off. Screaming, he fell to one side and blood splattered all over the stone of the bridge.

"Good hit," I complimented her while rubbing my back. It definitely helps to have two of us here rather than just me or her.

"Thank you. Your back okay?" she asked. I nodded and dropped my hand to show that I was fine. The area still burned though.

"Ahhhh! You bastards! My leg!" the purge trooper screamed. I felt a slight urge to taunt him, but it wouldn't be the Jedi way. Sometimes I feel like I haven't been as obedient to the Jedi way as I could be, but I try my best. Rather than taunt, I should give him a swift and quiet end. I raised my saber to pierce his heart, but he had a trick up his sleeve. Digging into his pocket, he took out a remote control and pressed the button on it. Out of nowhere, a small trooper transporter flew up the bridge from below and charged its blasters at us.

"Run, Luna!" I yelled as soon as I was able to react. She and I broke into a sprint toward the other end of the bridge, and I could hear the ship's blaster shoot at us.

"Death to the Jedi!" The purge trooper yelled. I felt the floor under my feet begin to fall, and my body flipped upside down in a free fall. I lost my grip on my lightsaber, and I watched as it fell further and further away from me. I stretched my hand out to grab it, but I knew there was no way I would get it. Whether by instinct or luck, my mind flashed back to a point before Order 66.

I was with my master, Jaro Tapal.

I was…upside down in the training room where he used to teach me lessons. An eerily similar situation to the one I was currently in. I looked down at the ground and saw my lightsaber lying there. Master Tapal was walking beside it, staring up at me.

"The force is within you, padawan. It is around you as well. The force connects you to your lightsaber. Using it will reunite you with your weapon. If your bond with the force is broken, your weapon is gone forever. Your lightsaber will stay on the ground. If you want it back, you will have to retrieve it yourself from where you are perched," he instructed.

I remember focusing all of my energy on pulling my lightsaber to my hand. At first, it rattled on the ground like a snake's tail would when angered. But after the second try, the lightsaber flew to my hand, and I had successfully completed my master's lesson.

I blinked, and I was back in the present. The memory was so quick, yet so beneficial to me. Using my bond in the force, I concentrated on my lightsaber, and it flew to my hand. The action forced my body to launch forward a bit, and I was able to land on solid ground rather than fall to my death. I quickly turned and forced Luna to come to me from the air. From below, her body swung upwards and into my embrace.

"W-Whoa!" she gasped. I smiled and rubbed the back of my head.

"Sorry I wasn't quicker…Did you see the same thing I did?" I asked. She slowly smiled back at me and looked down at my lightsaber.

"The 'force pull' lesson? It was so fast, but yes. I saw mine as well."

"Your power is getting weirder and weirder," I joked. I looked down and noticed I was still holding her tight against my chest. I awkwardly dropped my arms and took a step back. I glanced at Luna, and she was smiling at the ground with a hand to her chest. She then looked up at me with those bright green eyes and started walking.

"Okay, on we go then. I think we should just forget that any of that just happened."

Even after a potentially tragic incident like that, she was still calm and collected. She's such a badass! I can't imagine being with a Jedi who was scared of everything. The only thing she's scared of that I've noticed is getting her hair wet…Which is actually pretty funny.

"I agree. Any ideas on how we can get back up there to the main room?" I asked. She bit her cheek and tried to think of something. BD-1 spoke up next to me and pulled up the map.

"Vines?" I asked. He told us that we could use the vines hanging from the ceiling to swing our way up to the main room again. It was true! There was a set of vines that we could swing from. The only problem was that they were kind of far away from us. Wait…I guess it's not a problem anymore.

"Good idea, BD!" I said. Using the force, I pulled the vine towards me. I grabbed it and then pulled to make sure it would hold my weight.

"So, we'll just swing across back to the main area?" Luna asked. BD lifted his head up and down, signifying that we were really just going to swing on the vines over there.

"I'll go first if that makes you feel any better," I chaffed. I took a few steps back so I could have a running start, and then I jumped. The vine swinged, and I felt the rush of wind blowing in my face. It was difficult trying to get to the next vine, but I eventually got there. After a few minutes, I finally reached the other end of the room. The trooper and ship wasn't there anymore. It probably carried him off for medical attention. I looked across the abyss to Luna, and she appeared mildly impressed at my small feat. I put my hands on my hips and gave her the biggest smirk I could come up with. She giggled with her hand over her mouth and then pulled the first vine to her. I watched her leap from vine to vine with more ease. It took her less time to get to the other side too.

"Wow, you did way better than me," I said. She just shrugged.

"Nah, you went first, so I knew what to do when it was my turn."

Luna always tries to be humble too. She never brags about herself unless it's when she's joking. One of the things I can't stand are people who are narcissistic. She's the complete opposite. Other than Prauf, I've mostly had to deal with jerks on Bracca for five years. People who think they're better than you. It's a nice change of pace to be with someone who's genuinely kind and warm-hearted.

"Cal? You okay?"

I blinked a few timesm and Luna was giving me a reassuring smile. I felt my heartbeat quicken for a couple seconds, and I smiled back.

"Yeah, I was just thinking about something…The main room should be up ahead. I don't think the trooper and ship are here anymore."

"That's good! Want to tell me what you were thinking about?" she asked as we walked.

"You. I was thinking about you," I said in an over-the-top tone. I actually wasn't lying, but I wanted to see what she would say. Expectantly, she started teasing me back.

"I knew it. I mean, how could you not?" she said, flipping one side of her hair.

"I don't even know," I answered as we made it back to the main room. Like before, water was flowing everywhere and there was a large magnetic ball levitating from the ceiling. The wall on the second floor was filled with little slots. In some of the slots were tiny, glowing candles. It looked almost like a memorial to something. There was no other path beyond this room from what I could see.

"…What I do know is that we need to find a way out of here."

Luna brought her hand to her chin while thinking.

"Well, the magnetic ball has to do something. I don't think the Zeffo would put it there for no reason."

"Yeah, me neither."

I looked back at the candles and tried to form a connection between them and the ball. They weren't on the first floor, so I feel like they're specific to this floor. On the far side of the room, there were a couple of indentions in the wall. The indentions each had metal prongs sticking out of the wall inside.

"I wonder what would happen if I did this…" I muttered. I pulled one of the candles towards me and then pushed it into one of the indentions.

Nothing happened.

"Welp," I said in disappointment.

"What if we fill both of them," Luna suggested, doing the same thing I had just done. The second candle filled the indention below the first, and a low rumble began above us. We looked up and saw that the magnetic ball was shaking. It was bizarre, but I could almost see the magnetic field below the ball evaporating. It was probably just my imagination. After a few seconds, the ball suddenly dropped from its place and fell down the large hole on the first floor. The wall where the candles had sat began rumbling as well. The middle of the wall split and created a secret passageway for us to journey through.

"See? Both of them just needed to be filled. I think we make the perfect team, Cal," Luna said with a grin. I grinned back.

"I think so too, Luna."

I had a feeling we were nearing the end of the Temple. I felt it deep in my chest. We walked through the secret entranceway until it ended at a circular-shaped room. There was an ancient painting on the wall of what had to be a Zeffo statue holding something. Below the statue was tiny, miniature Zeffo people praising what the statue was doing. I viewed the painting for a few seconds before I heard something click behind us. Luna and I twirled around to see the path we had come from closed off. The room shook for a moment and then started descending downward like an elevator.

"I'm gonna need things to stop rumbling," Luna groaned, getting a laugh out of me.

"I couldn't agree more."

I mean, seriously. This was getting kind of annoying. BD-1, who was on my right shoulder, beeped with interest and then jumped to the ground. He ran to the painting on the wall and scanned it. Sure enough, a hologram of Master Cordova showed up.

"Finally!" Luna yelled happily. I smiled seeing her all excited like that. She was really into figuring this whole Zeffo thing out.

"My friends…" Master Cordova started with, per usual. He held his hand out towards the painting.

"I have finally found an intact representation of the sacred Zeffo artifact. If you look closely, this is the ancient sage, Miktrull, at the vault in Bogano. There's an object in their hand. Now, I believe this object allows a force-wielder to access the secrets and mysteries of the vault. This painting shows the key and the guide. The Zeffo Astrium. This has been the only image of the two that I've seen so far in my journey. Someone has to be destroying the others. But who…and why? This requires more investigating and research. Nonetheless, we know what our next step is. Find an astrium."

He finished speaking and then disappeared from BD-1's hologram. As always, it was just a little information. The good thing was that it was new information. We'll take what we can get.

"An astrium? So, like a key?" Luna asked me. I nodded in understanding.

"That's what I got from that. I have no idea what an astrium is, but I know what a key is! The question is, where do we find one?"

"Hmm…Maybe we should talk to Cere about it. We can plan out our next step with her."

"Yeah, let's do that," I said as the elevator stopped abruptly. I squinted as a part of the wall opened up again and shined light upon us. I raised my hand in front of me until I got used to it.

"Another Zeffo temple down and fresh air!" Luna said, running out of the room and enjoying the outside. I followed her and took a deep breath. The air out here was more inviting than the dust-filled air the temple provided for us. The main room of the temple was nice, but everything else was not.

"It is pretty nice. We should go ahead and head back, though. We haven't been able to use the comm link since yesterday because of Trilla. They're probably really worried about us," I told her.

"Right. Hopefully, she can rewire it or something to get Trilla off the link. BD-1, can you bring up the map, please?"

BD-1 nodded, and the hologram map popped up. We weren't that far from the ship, and I recognized the location we were in. It was near the area where we first discovered the ice slides. The travel time was about an hour or two on foot; nothing we couldn't handle. The three of us commenced the trek back and passed several familiar spots of interest. The best part about it was there were no stormtroopers this time.

That is until…

"You two! Stop where you are! I've needed a fight for a long time!"

What now!? Just as we were about to head to the shortcut, back to the hangar where Cere and Greez were, a masculine voice called out to us from behind. We turned and saw a man clad in armor. It wasn't just any armor, though. This man was a bounty hunter. He was holding a large blaster in his hands, and his back was equipped with a deadly-looking jetpack.

"A bounty hunter?" Luna asked quietly, her tone threatened by his mere presence. I swallowed hard and felt my nerves give me an unsettling feeling. Bounty hunters were extremely dangerous people who did anything they could to get their reward.

"What do you want!?" I questioned the man loudly.

"It's like I said. I've been itching for a fight for a while, and I don't care who it's with," he replied as he raised his gun at us. We ignited our lightsabers and took a step back. The man gasped and took a step forward.

"Jedi!? Oh boy, is it my lucky day?"

"Will you just leave us alone!? We haven't done anything to you!" Luna yelled at him angrily. I could tell she was nervous right now by the way she was talking. The bounty hunter laughed out loud and shook his head.

"Oh no, that's not going to happen. You see, I have very special clients, clients who would love the both of you. They call me 'The Huntsman'. That's because I hunt out my prey. Today, the both of you will be my prey," he said, obviously proud of himself. As soon as he finished talking, his jetpack sent sparks through the air and lifted him towards us. My eyes widened, and I rolled to the side. The hunter shot a few blaster shots at us, but we reflected them back at him. I was hoping they would take him out, but he blocked all of the shots with his armor. Luna tried pushing him with the force, but he just used the jetpack to fly back to where we were.

"Nothing's working…" she muttered to me. I gritted my teeth and gripped my fists.

"There has to be something," I said.

"How about some fire!" The Huntsman announced. He clicked a switch on his gun, and fire sprayed out instead of bullets. I yelped from the burning sensation on my skin and dashed back with Luna. We raised our lightsabers up and kept walking backwards in defense.

"Gotcha!"

The man kept driving us back with the fire, and then shot himself to the side. Due to the flurry of fire, it was difficult to see anything. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw the man flying at us with his jetpack allowing him to gain ridiculous speed. Luna was too focused on resisting the fire to see him heading straight for her.

"Luna!" I screamed. I stretched out my hand in desperation, but I was too late. The man knocked himself into Luna's side, and she fell to the ground, unconscious.

"One down, one to go!"

I couldn't stand seeing Luna lying on the ground like that. It destroyed my focus completely, and I soon found myself bound in a net from the bounty hunter's gun.

"Ahh! D-Damn it!" I yelled out in pain. The net was suffocating, and I couldn't move my arms. The Huntsman let out a condescending laugh, shrugging his shoulders.

"Don't worry, kid. It's like I said, I won't kill you just yet. I will need you unconscious, so it's lights out!"

He walked over to me and raised his fist. I watched as he brought his hand down and punched me in the head. Everything went black, and the last thing I remember is hitting the ground…

Luna…Please be okay…

And that is the end of the chapter! Sorry it took me a while to write this chapter but at least it was a longer one! I have a general idea for how the next chapter will go, so maybe it'll come out quicker? I don't know. Anyway, thanks so much for the follows and reviews you guys have given me. I truly appreciate it. It really does help me want to write more, so keep doing it! Finally, I'll see you guys next time!
