BTWF Christmas Chaos (Day 1 Part 3)
The camera panned back to the stage, where the camera panned to a shark cage that was next to the Christmas tree. Multiple paparazzi then came out of the back, putting out a red carpet and preparing to take pictures before MNM's 'Paparazzi' theme began playing. The crowd booed as the Hollywood Hooligan came out, wearing sunglasses, a black fur coat, and Mandy on his arm. The two posed at the center of the stage, allowing the paparazzi to take pictures of them as Hooligan and Mandy looked over at the shark cage.
"The following contest is scheduled for one fall, and will determine the #1 contender for the BTWF Championship at the Battle Riot PPV! Mandy DeRoyale is also required to be in the shark cage throughout the duration of this match! If Mandy does not get into the shark cage, Hooligan will forfeit this match, and the winner and #1 contender will be Soul Eater Evans!" Tim Barr announced, causing Hooligan and Mandy to yell at Barr before Hooligan started running his hands through his hair in frustration before telling Mandy to get into the cage.
"Introducing first, now residing in Hollywood California, he is the Hollywood Hooligan!" Tim Barr announced as the crowd continued to boo as Mandy reluctantly walked up to the shark cage, and let the referee lead her in the cage. Mandy glared at the referee as the referee locked her in the steel cage while Hooligan walked down the entrance ramp, looking back at his valet being locked in the cage. Hooligan took several deep breaths before glaring at several booing fans in the front row before making it to the ringside area.
"Mandy has been the difference-maker every time Soul and Hooligan have been in the ring together, allowing Hooligan to win their last two matches together," Beth explained as Hooligan walked up the steel steps, and walked onto the apron. Hooligan continued to glare at the crowd before turning around, and jumping over the top rope, running into the corner. Hooligan then jumped up to the top turnbuckle, and took off his sunglasses, shaking his head at the booing crowd before jumping down from the top rope.
"With Mandy stuck in a shark cage on the stage, Soul finally has a chance for a straight one-on-one match against the Hollywood Hooligan," Cornette responded as Hooligan walked back into the corner, leaning on the turnbuckle before Johnny Gargano's 'Rebel Heart' theme song played, causing the crowd to cheer loudly as Soul came out of the back, putting a hand over his forehead to narrow his vision so that he could see his cheering fans more clearly.
"And his opponent, from Death City Nevada, he is Soul Eater Evans!" Tim Barr announced as Soul walked up to Mandy's shark cage, and smirked at her before playfully kicking the bars of the cage. Soul then flipped Mandy the bird before walking down the entranceway, giving all the fans in the front row a hi-five while Hooligan focused all his ire onto Soul by continuing to glare at him.
"Soul has been rising up the ranks on Octane, trying to make the fans and the higher-ups see him as someone worthy of the main event opportunities other wrestlers have gotten," Okabe explained as Soul ran to the ringside area, and jumped into the ring by rolling in between the middle and bottom ropes. The crowd continued to cheer as Soul kipped back up to his feet in the middle of the ring, and once again put his hand over his forehead to give himself a better look at his cheering fans.
"Soul was one of the sole survivors of the 7 on 7 Bragging Rights last month, so he has experience in high stress and high-pressure situations," Beth explained as Soul went into the corner, and waited for the referee to make sure that both men were ready. When he was sure both Soul and Hooligan were ready, the referee told the timekeeper to ring the bell, and when the timekeeper did, Hooligan attempted to run at Soul with a Clothesline, but Soul countered with multiple Japanese Arm Drags. Hooligan got up once again, but Soul knocked him down with a Jumping Dropkick to the chin before putting him in an Armbar.
"Soul taking the advantage at the beginning of the match, locking Hooligan in an armbar!" Cornette exclaimed as Hooligan immediately tried to get back to his feet, but Soul hit Hooligan with several punches to the face before taking him back down with a Hip Toss. However, Hooligan was able to kick Soul in the side of the head, allowing him to escape the armbar, grab Soul's arm, and start smashing his arm into the shoulder blade. The crowd booed as Hooligan attempted to take Soul down with an Arm Drag of his own, but Soul was able to land on his feet and hit Hooligan with a back kick to the gut.
"Soul trying to maintain control of this match, preventing Hooligan from gaining control of his arm for too long," Okabe noted as Soul threw Hooligan into the corner. The crowd cheered as Soul hit multiple Knife-Edge Chops to the chest before hitting him with multiple punches to the side of the head. However, the crowd booed as Hooligan poked Soul in the eye, and started kicking him in the chest before going up to the top rope, attempting to hit him with a Missile Dropkick. However, Soul was able to dodge the attempt at a Missile Dropkick and when Hooligan attempted to get back on his feet, Soul hit him with a Neckbreaker and went for the pin.

"Soul seems to have Hooligan's number in the early goings of this match, and Mandy is absolutely losing it in the shark cage!" Beth exclaimed as Soul picked Hooligan back up, and hit him with a couple more punches to the face before running the ropes, and attempting to knock Hooligan down with a Jumping Knee Strike. However, Hooligan was able to dodge the move and hit a Dropkick to Soul's back that had enough force to send him falling out of the ring through the middle rope.
"Hooligan just sent Soul falling out of the ring, finally getting some reprieve from Soul's constant stream of punishment," Okabe explained as Hooligan looked at Soul getting back to his feet, and Hooligan responded by running the ropes, and attempting to knock Soul down with a Suicide Dive. However, the crowd almost exploded into cheers as Soul was able to capture Hooligan mid-Suicide Dive and hit him with a quick Michinoku Driver on the outside. The crowd exploded as Soul kipped back up to his feet, and put his hand over his forehead again, pointing at all the fans cheering and chanting for him.
"Oh my God! Soul was able to counter that attempt at a dive by Hooligan into a Michinoku Driver!" Cornette exclaimed in shock as Soul picked Hooligan up, and started punching him in the gut several times before jumping up onto the apron and diving off of the apron with a Moonsault onto Hooligan. The crowd continued to cheer as Hooligan was knocked down by the Moonsault, and Soul hit another Standing Moonsault onto the chest of Hooligan while the referee was counting the two out.

"Soul dominating Hooligan even outside of the ring, hitting him with two different Moonsault variations on the outside!" Okabe exclaimed as Soul picked Hooligan up by the hair, and slammed his face into the front of the fan barricade. Soul then grabbed Hooligan's chin and attempted to hit him with a punch to the face, but Hooligan hit Soul with a Headbutt to Soul's face before he could execute the punch, dazing him. The crowd booed as Hooligan started punching Soul in the side of the face before kicking him in the gut.

"Hooligan once again taking advantage with a Greco Roman thumb to the eye!" Cornette exclaimed as Hooligan grabbed Soul, put him in a Russian Legsweep position, and hit Soul with a Russian Legsweep that sent Soul's back crashing into the steel ring apron. The crowd continued to boo as Mandy applauded while Hooligan started stomping on Soul's chest and back before picking him back up. Hooligan threw Soul into the steel steps with enough force that the top of the steel steps fell off.
Ref: …7…8
"Hooligan, throwing Soul into the steel steps with fury! Hooligan showing how much he not only wants the BTWF Championship but to also prove that he doesn't need Mandy to win!" Beth exclaimed as Hooligan slid back into the ring before sliding back out of the ring before hitting Soul with a Running Penalty Kick to the chest. The crowd continued to boo as Hooligan grabbed Soul by the hair, and threw him into the steel ring post face first before pressing his foot into the back of Soul's head, causing his face and nose to be pressed into the steel ring post.
Ref: 1…2…3
"Some viciousness on the side of Hooligan, trying to break Soul's nose with the steel ring post and his foot!" Cornette exclaimed as Hooligan stomped on Soul's back a couple of times before throwing him back into the ring. The crowd continued to boo as Hooligan springboarded into the ring and hit Soul in the chest with a Springboard Tope Con Hilo. Hooligan then picked Soul up and threw him into the corner before stomping on his gut several times before the referee attempted to pull Hooligan off of Soul.
"The referee stepping in, to make sure Hooligan doesn't get himself disqualified, which I'm sure Hooligan is going to appreciate once he's in the back," Okabe explained as Hooligan went back into the corner, and started stomping on his gut again before running the ropes and hitting Soul with a Running European Uppercut. The crowd continued to boo as Hooligan ran the ropes again, and hit a Jumping Running Forearm, sending Soul falling in a seated position in front of the bottom turnbuckle.
"Hooligan has Soul down in the corner, showing that despite his arrogant attitude, he can go when it comes to the in-ring work," Beth explained as Hooligan started stomping on Soul's gut before running the ropes, and hitting Soul in the side of the face with a Running Face Wash. Hooligan then dragged Soul further away from the corner and closer to the center of the ring before hitting Soul with a Standing Corkscrew Senton and going for the pinfall, hooking both of his legs back.
Ref: 1…2.
"Hooligan and Mandy are looking frustrated, as Soul is able to kick out despite the pain in his midsection," Cornette explained as Hooligan grabbed Soul by the hair, and started kneeing him in the back. Hooligan then kept Soul in a seated position, and ran the ropes to hit Soul with a Running Penalty Kick to the chest before continuing to run the ropes, and hit a Jumping Knee Drop to the face. Hooligan then picked Soul up and hit him with a Spinning Kick to the gut before running the ropes, and hitting Soul with a Forearm to the side of the head.
"Soul staggering to the ropes, and Mandy is cheering on Hooligan from her cage," Okabe narrated as Hooligan pushed Soul into the ropes, sending him draped over the middle rope. Hooligan then ran at Soul, hitting him with a Leapfrog Body Guillotine onto the back of Soul while he was still draped over the middle rope. Soul staggered away from the ropes, and Hooligan responded by putting Soul in a Front Facelock, walking up the middle and top ropes, and hitting a Tornado DDT onto Soul before going for another pin.
Ref: 1…2..
Soul rolled his shoulder off of the mat, so Hooligan responded by grabbing both of Soul's arms, and locking him in a Seated Abdominal Stretch.
"Hooligan stretching Soul out on the ground, and you can see that he's also bending Soul's neck to cause even more damage," Cornette noted as Soul tried to drag himself away to the ropes, but Hooligan responded by pushing Soul on his back, continuing to stretch him out with the Seated Abdominal Stretch. After another minute in the hold, Soul began rolling to the ropes, causing the crowd to cheer as Soul was able to put his feet on the bottom rope, forcing the referee to pull Hooligan off of Soul. Hooligan kicked Soul in the chest several times before running the ropes and attempted to hit Soul with a Running Baseball Slide, but Soul was able to roll out of the way.
"Oh! Soul was able to dodge, sending Hooligan tumbling to the outside!" Beth exclaimed as Hooligan fell out of the ring in between the middle and bottom rope, sending him falling onto the floor back first. Mandy continued cheering Hooligan on as he got back to his feet and pounded on the announcers' table in frustration, but the crowd exploded as Soul ran through the middle ropes, and hit a Suicide Dive onto Hooligan with enough force to send him crashing into the announcers' table.
"And Hooligan crashes right on top of our announcers' table! Luckily, he didn't hit any of the monitors on the table!" Cornette exclaimed as Soul grabbed Hooligan, and threw him back into the ring. The crowd continued to cheer as Soul got onto the apron, and when Hooligan pulled himself back to his feet, Soul springboarded back into the ring with a Springboard Clothesline. The crowd continued to cheer as Soul went into the corner, and waited for Hooligan to get back on his feet, and when he did, Soul ran at Hooligan and hit him with a couple of Clotheslines, with the third clothesline turning Hooligan inside out.
"What a Standing Clothesline by Soul! You usually only see that power with bigger Superstars!" Okabe exclaimed as when Hooligan got back to his feet, Soul hit Hooligan with a Reverse Atomic Drop and then hit him with a Spinebuster. The crowd continued to cheer as Soul ran the ropes, and hit Hooligan with a Standing Shooting Star Press on the chest. Soul then picked Hooligan back up and hit him with multiple Back-Fists to the side of the head before attempting to Irish whip him into the ropes. Hooligan countered the Irish whip and sent Soul into the ropes, but when Soul rebounded, he feigned a kick to the gut and sent him down with a Running Back Elbow to the side of Hooligan's head before going for the pin.
Ref: 1…2..
"Hooligan able to get up at a two count, but you have to wonder how these blows to the face will affect his future movie deals," Beth wondered out loud while giggling as Soul picked Hooligan back up, and hit him with a Michinoku Driver before attempting to go up to the top rope. However, Hooligan was able to push the referee into the ropes, causing the crowd to boo as Soul landed on the top turnbuckle crotch first. Hooligan then staggered to his feet, walked over to the corner, and started climbing the turnbuckles, much to Mandy's delight and the crowd's chagrin.
"Hooligan able to counter, sending Soul's nuts right into the top turnbuckle!" Cornette exclaimed as Hooligan started punching Soul in the side of the head before attempting to hit him with a Top Rope Hurricanrana. However, Soul was able to keep his hands firmly grasped on the top rope, sending Hooligan falling off of the top rope. Hooligan was able to land on his feet, but the crowd cheered as Soul dived off of the top rope with a Diving Clothesline before going for another pinfall, hooking both of her legs back.
Ref: 1…2..
"Soul was able to prevent Hooligan from hitting a move off of the top rope onto him, but Hooligan has continued to fight," Okabe explained in surprise as Soul dragged Hooligan closer to the ropes, and attempted to hit him with a Springboard Moonsault, but Hooligan was able to lift both of his knees up, sending Soul's chest crashing into his knees. Hooligan pulled himself back to his feet and attempted to hit Soul with an Inverted Facelock Elbow Drop, but Soul was able to turn him around. Soul attempted to hit Hooligan with a Lariat, but Hooligan was able to dodge and hit Soul in the arm with a Riott Kick.
"Nice kick by Hooligan, sending Soul falling onto his backside!" Beth exclaimed as Hooligan ran the ropes, and hit a Corkscrew Roundhouse Kick onto Soul while he was in a Seated Position before going for the pinfall.
Ref: 1…2..
Mandy screamed in outrage as she told the referee that Hooligan had the three count, but the referee disagreed. Hooligan picked Soul up and hit him with a couple of European Uppercuts before attempting to throw Soul into the corner. However, the crowd cheered as Soul jumped up to the middle turnbuckle and hit him with a Diving Back Elbow. However, Hooligan was able to counter with a Jumping Kick to the back before hitting him with a German Suplex and bridging into a pin.
Ref: 1…2..
"How the hell did Soul kick out of that combination of moves by Hooligan!?" Beth asked in shock as Hooligan looked like he was about to punch the referee. Hooligan took several deep breaths and started stomping on Soul's chest several times before attempting to hit a Standing Corkscrew Shooting Star Press. However, Soul countered by pushing his knees up, sending Hooligan's chest crashing into his knees. Soul then rolled Hooligan up in a Small Package, causing the crowd to cheer.
Ref: 1…2..
Hooligan was able to counter this by rolling over, pinning Soul while still in the Small Package position.
Ref: 1…2..
"The amount of resiliency shown by these two athletes is a great demonstration of how much the BTWF Championship means to these athletes!" Cornette responded as Soul was able to kick out, and attempted to hit Hooligan with another Spinning Back Elbow. However, Hooligan was able to dodge, grab both of Soul's arms, and attempt to hit him with a Tiger Suplex. Soul, however, countered with a couple of Headbutts to the face before ducking down and hitting a kick to Hooligan's chin. Soul then got back to his feet and hit a Running One-Handed Bulldog onto Hooligan before running the ropes and hitting him with a Twisting Leg Drop to the back of the head.
"Soul trying to crush Hooligan's head with that Leg Drop! Hooligan is still able to kick out, and Soul looks absolutely shocked!" Okabe exclaimed as Soul looked at the referee in shock. Soul then picked Hooligan up, twisted his pointer finger in the air, and then attempted to hit Hooligan with a Tornado DDT. However, Hooligan was able to throw Soul away from him, and while Soul tried to regain his footing, Hooligan ran at Soul and hit him with a Running V-Trigger Knee Strike to the face before going for the pin.
Ref: 1…2..
"Hooligan nearly knocked Soul's teeth right out of his mouth with that Running Knee Strike, but Soul still rolled his shoulder off of the mat!" Cornette exclaimed as Hooligan grabbed Soul by the hair, and started clubbing him in the back before putting Soul in an Inverted Facelock position. Hooligan then put Soul in position for the Hollywood Glitz (Inverted Facelock Spun into a Single Knee Facebreaker). However, mid-move, Soul pushed Hooligan's knee away and hit him with a Jumping Enziguri to the side of the head.
"And Hooligan gets his head nearly taken off with Soul's signature Jumping Enziguri!" Beth exclaimed as Soul put Hooligan in a Front Facelock, looked over at Mandy having a conniption fit in the shark cage, flipped her off, and then hit Hooligan with a Tornado DDT. The crowd continued to cheer as Soul, without letting go of Hooligan, picked him up, and hit him with the Soul Eater (Gourdbuster GTS) before going for the pinfall.

*Bell Rings*
"Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner and new #1 contender for the BTWF Championship, Soul Eater Evans!" Tim Barr announced as the referee raised Soul's arm up in victory as Soul started coughing and holding his chest. Meanwhile, Mandy was continuing her temper tantrum in the shark cage while Soul let go of the referee and rolled out of the ring as the crowd continued to cheer. Soul then started walking to up the entranceway, hi-fiving fans on the front row as Hooligan rolled out of the ring, still barely conscious.
"After an intense back and forth contest, Soul has a date with the BTWF Champion at Battle Riot next month!" Cornette exclaimed as Soul made it all the way to the stage, where he turned and saw Mandy continuing to rant and kick at the cage bars. Soul smirked at the crowd, and walked over to the cage, causing Mandy to somehow get angrier as she yelled at Soul. Soul smirked before once again flipping her off, and kicking the cage over, causing Mandy to fall on her back, causing the crowd to explode and laugh before turning over to the camera.
"Soul just sent a very powerful message to Mandy! And it looks like he has another message to send to the fans at home!" Beth exclaimed as Soul told the camera that he would be watching the BTWF title match and whoever was going to win would have to deal with him. Soul then wished both Natsu and Mordecai luck before giving him a thumbs up and going to the back as Hooligan finally got back to his feet and noticed that the cage had been knocked over.
"Soul showing that he is not concerned with who wins the Triple Decker Cage BTWF Championship match later tonight, but Natsu and Mordecai may want to keep Soul in the back of their mind tonight as well," Okabe explained as Hooligan ran as fast as he could to the cage so that he could check on Mandy. The camera panned to the General Manager's office, where Arthur Morgan was sitting behind his desk.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the BTWF is growing more by the day. We have more crossover events planned for the future, more Superstars coming to the company, and more sponsorship deals. And speaking of more Superstars, we have enough new Superstars coming to the company to create a new weekly television program; BTWF Evolve," Arthur explained as the camera panned to a logo, where the word 'Evolve' was surrounded by a yellow and red outline with fire behind it.
"This show will be slightly different from Octane and Intensity, as this show will be more focused on getting Superstars ready for bigger audiences and working on television. BTWF Evolve will give them on-the-job experience so that they can work towards becoming bigger wrestling stars that will shine under the bright lights of the BTWF," Arthur explained further before looking down at a stack of papers.
"And now, we have several BTWF: Evolve superstars that have agreed to give interviews tonight. Let's hear from these Superstars right now," Arthur said before the camera panned to Armin Arlert in a button-up shirt and glasses, smiling at the camera.
"Hello everyone, my name is Armin Arlert. I've been called one of the best technical wrestlers in the independent circuit," Armin introduced as the camera showed footage from the independent circuit, where Armin was putting his opponents in various painful submission holds, such as an Octopus Stretch, a Crossface, and an Omoplata. Another clip showed Armin hitting the Armin Driver '97 (Tyler Bate's Tyler Driver '97) on an opponent before pinning him.
"Honestly, I've never been on a stage as big as the BTWF, but when Dutch Van Der Linde personally came up to me and offered me a contract, I was totally honored. Like, I never thought that someone would actually handpick me to be a part of their company," Armin said, as a picture of Dutch Van Der Linde and Armin Arlert shaking hands, with Armin still in his tights and a towel around his neck.
"My plan now that I'm here in the BTWF is to show my abilities to bigger crowds. I also want people to see the genuine me, and not some character that was written for me. And hopefully, I can make the fans, and Dutch, proud," Armin explained before the camera panned to another wrestler, Porco Galliard, sitting on the same couch. Porco was wearing a black jacket with a hoodie and jeans, putting his legs on the table in front of her.
"My name's Porco Galliard, and I'm one of the best-kept secrets from the independent circuit," Porco introduced as footage showed Porco hitting a couple of wrestlers with Clotheslines powerful enough to turn his opponents inside out. More footage showed Porco hitting a wrestler with a Powerbomb, and another wrestler with a Running Spear into the corner before throwing them out with a Belly-2-Belly. One other clip showed Porco hitting an opponent with a Flying Headbutt before pinning him.
"Normally, I'm teaming up with my older brother, and we're a damn good team together. But one night, I was signed to a contract with the BTWF, and not with my brother. Nothing against my brother, but this is my chance to show a bunch of morons who call me 'just a tag team wrestler'," Porco explained as more footage showed him and Marcel hitting multiple wrestlers with tag team moves, such as an Assisted Powerslam, and a Double Military Press Slam.
"And I'm gonna be totally honest with you, I don't even think I need to be in Evolve, because I am TV ready. I mean, I got the skills, the looks, the charisma, and they're putting me with some greenhorns in Evolve? Oh well, only makes it easier for me to take over," Porco explained before walking off of the set. The camera then panned to Dimaria Yesta, sitting on the couch with her legs crossed. Dimaria was wearing an expensive-looking black dress while looking entirely disinterested in the interview.
"I don't even know why I really have to do this, everyone who's anyone should already know who I am," Dimaria said, with multiple clips of her kicking her opponents in the arm, and other clips of Dimaria hitting women with the Chronos Driver (Cradle Piledriver).
"Ugh, fine. My name is Dimaria Yesta, but you can call me the 'Submission Magician'," Dimaria reluctantly introduced as more clips of Dimaria making other women tapping out to the Age Seal (Deonna Purrazzo's Venus Di Milo (Scissored Armbar)). The clips also showed Dimaria causing enough of a stir to have fans throwing garbage in the ring and at her while she was talking trash to the fans doing it.
"I call myself the 'Submission Magician' because when I get a submission on my opponent, they WILL tap out. I don't let go of my opponent until they give up," Dimaria explains as clips show Dimaria putting her opponents in the Age Seal (Scissored Armbar). More clips also show Dimaria putting multiple opponents in other submission holds, such as a Sleeper Hold, a Cross Armbreaker, and a Figure-4-Leglock.
"I'm not surprised that BTWF officials wanted me to come into the company. This new show needs the star power that I bring, and while some people didn't want me on Evolve, or in the BTWF in general, I WILL be the leading lady of Evolve and I WILL become the first champion of the brand," Dimaria explains before giving the camera a seated curtsy as the camera panned back to Arthur behind his desk.
"We will be seeing more of these interviews in the coming weeks until the debut of BTWF: Evolve, which will debut the week after the BTWF Battle Riot in February. That is all for now, let's get back to the rest of the show," Arthur explained as the camera panned to the backstage area, where Valentino and Baam were in the back, celebrating their BTWF World Tag Team title defense with Frida and Rachel. However, while they were in the middle of celebrating, Manabo came up and swiped the BTWF World Tag Team Championship belts from Valentino and Baam before walking over to Joe and Bonifer.
"Sorry to interrupt your little celebration, nerds. But we just wanted to check how these titles look on us," Joe explained as he and Bonifer posed with the titles for a moment before throwing them back at Valentino and Baam, who just about caught them. Manabo and Bonifer smirked at the BTWF World Tag Team Champions while Joe is laughing at the annoyed faces of Baam and Valentino. Before anything else could happen, Mr. Enter walked over, putting his arms around the back of Manabo and Bonifer's necks.
"Hey boys, I hope you're not giving the tag champs too much trouble. You have to keep them good for Octane," Enter explained as he looked over at the champs and their valets, who raised their eyebrows in curiosity.
"Oh, you're confused? Well, allow me to elaborate; since we won against my former BTWF World Tag Team Champions, we're getting a World Tag Team title match on Octane. So then, not only will my boys win the BTWF World Tag Team Championships, but we'll dominate the Battle Riot as well," Enter explained as Valentino and Baam looked at each other before Valentino attempted to respond. However, Rachel pushed Valentino out of the way, much to Frida's chagrin, and glared at Enter.
"If you guys want to get humiliated, then that's your business. But don't interrupt our celebration with your own premature victory party," Rachel responded as Enter nodded before patting Bonifer and Manabo in the back before telling them to turn around. Enter Enterprises walked off, with Bonifer turning around briefly to flip the World Tag Team Champions the bird. Valentino patted Baam on the back, telling him not to worry about it before the camera panned to the ring, where the camera is showing the ring surrounded by the triple-decker cage.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is the Triple Decker Cage Match! Now in this match, there are no pinfalls, no submissions, no disqualifications, and no countouts! The only way to win this match is to grab the BTWF Championship off of the top of the upper-level cage! And it is for the BTWF Championship!" Tim Barr announced as the crowd cheered when 'Time To Shine' by Saliva played, causing the crowd to cheer as Mordecai came running out of the back and jumped onto the center of the stage. Mordecai then did the Jeff Hardy taunt on the center of the stage, causing the pyro to go off on the stage.
"Introducing the challenger first, from Central Park New York, Mordecai!" Tim Barr announced as Mordecai ran down the entrance ramp, hi-fiving the fans in the front row as he nodded in excitement and anticipation as he looked up at the Triple Decker cage. Mordecai then turned to the camera, and made motions around his waist, saying that he was going to be the next BTWF Champion before running all the way to the ringside area and giving the cage a nice pat.
"I have no idea why the hell Mordecai picked this match, to begin with, but sometimes putting your opponent in a rare match type like this can throw an opponent off of their game," Cornette explained, still unsure about the Triple Decker cage before Mordecai opened the door to the cage, and pointed to the fans, causing them to cheer louder before running into the ring and jumping onto the apron.
"Maybe this is why he chose the match. There aren't exactly many tapes of Triple Decker cage matches, so who can prepare for a match like this?" Beth asked as Mordecai jumped over the top rope, and ran to the other side of the ring. Mordecai then ran up to the top turnbuckle and pointed at the cheering crowd through the mesh of the steel cage. The crowd continued to cheer as Mordecai backflipped back into the center of the ring, once again telling the fans at home that he was going to be the new BTWF Champion.
"That is a good point Beth, but aside from WCW Slamboree 2000, what tapes did Mordecai have to watch for this?" Okabe countered as 'Indestructible' by Disturbed played, causing the crowd to explode into cheers as Natsu came walking out of the back with the BTWF Championship over his shoulder. Natsu then nodded at his cheering fans before going to the center of the stage and did the 'Dra-gon-eel' taunt which caused the pyro to go off from around the TitanTron and the stage.
"And his opponent, from Magnolia Fiore, he is the BTWF Champion, 'Indestructible' Natsu Dragneel!" Tim Barr announced as the crowd continued to cheer as Natsu hi-fived fans on both sides of the fan barricade. Mordecai looks on at Natsu, showing off the Triple Decker cage and asking Natsu if he's ready. Natsu just smirked at Mordecai and nodded before patting the BTWF Championship that was still on his shoulder.
"Well Natsu, as usual, doesn't look afraid at all. If anything, Natsu looks like he's excited to be in the Triple Decker cage," Beth explained as Natsu ran through the door of the cage, threw the BTWF Championship into the ring underneath the bottom of the ring, and then ran through the middle ropes. The crowd continued to explode as Natsu kipped back up to his feet, and jumped in place before running into a corner opposite of Mordecai.
"Natsu's never one to back down from a challenge, especially when it comes to his BTWF Championship," Okabe explained as Natsu once again did the 'Dra-gon-eel' taunt on the top turnbuckle before noticing that Mordecai had grabbed the BTWF Championship. Natsu chuckled before shrugging, jumping off of the top turnbuckle, and kicking the belt out of Mordecai's hand, causing the crowd to cheer as the referee caught the belt, and showed it to both men before telling the timekeeper to ring the bell.
"We're getting this match underway, and the goal of this first part of the match is to escape through the hatch painted red to get to the second level of this cage," Okabe explained as Mordecai nodded at Natsu before giving him a kick to the gut. The crowd cheered as Mordecai hit several punches to the side of Natsu's head, sending him staggering into the corner. Mordecai hit several punches to Natsu's gut, but Natsu was finally able to get a strike in by hitting Mordecai with a kick to the side of the arm. All the while, the belt was being transported up to the top of the upper level of the cage via a crane.
"Natsu and Mordecai are exchanging strikes with each other, which is not what I expected given the friendly atmosphere of this rivalry," Cornette noted as Natsu grabbed Mordecai by the shirt, and threw him into the corner. The crowd continued to cheer as Natsu started punching Mordecai in the gut before running the ropes, and hitting Mordecai with a Monkey Flip that sent him flying out of the corner. Natsu then kipped back up to his feet and hit a Twisting Leg Drop across the throat before hitting Mordecai with a Standing Moonsault.
"Natsu is starting to dominate the match in the early-goings, which is what he's going to have to do if he wants to get to the next floor of this cage," Beth explained as Natsu picked Mordecai up, and attempted to send him into the corner. However, Mordecai countered by throwing Natsu himself into another corner before running after him and hitting him with a Running Corner Clothesline. The crowd cheered and chanted both men as Mordecai hit several Shoulder Thrusts into the corner before picking Natsu up in a Suplex position. However, Natsu was able to punch Mordecai in the gut several times and attempted to Suplex Mordecai out of the ring.
"Natsu attempting to suplex Mordecai on the padded concrete outside! And there is the chance Mordecai could clip the steel of the cage!" Cornette exclaimed as Mordecai pushed Natsu away, and attempted to put him in position for the Twist of Fate. However, Natsu pushed Mordecai away and hit him with a Superkick to the gut before throwing him onto the apron. The crowd continued to cheer as Natsu ran the ropes, and hit Mordecai with a Triangle Hurricanrana, sending both men on the outside.
"Oof! That was a rough landing for not only Mordecai but Natsu as well!" Okabe exclaimed as Natsu picked himself up, holding his lower back in pain before stomping on Mordecai, who was kneeling over the steel steps. Natsu then picked Mordecai up and attempted to throw him into the steel cage, but Mordecai was able to stop himself, jumping on top of the steel steps. The crowd cheered as Natsu attempted to run back at Mordecai, but he was able to dive off of the top of the steel steps and hit Natsu with a Crossbody.
"Mordecai showing Natsu that he's not the only one that can get creative with his environment!" Beth exclaimed as Mordecai grabbed Natsu from the back of his singlet, and threw him into the cage. However, Natsu was able to use his foot to stop himself from crashing into the cage, and ran at Mordecai, leveling him with a clothesline. The crowd continued cheering and chanting for both men as Natsu picked Mordecai up, and slammed the side of his head into the side of the cage several times before throwing him into the ring. The crowd started cheering loudly as Natsu ducked down, grabbed a ladder from underneath the ring, and started dragging it from the red trap door.
"And Natsu now has an opportunity to make it to the second level of this triple cage structure!" Cornette exclaimed as Natsu set the ladder up underneath the trap door and started climbing up the ladder. When Natsu got halfway up the ladder, Mordecai got back to his feet in the ring, quickly climbed the turnbuckles in the corner closest to the ladder, and started punching Natsu in the back, attempting to pull him off of the ladder by his singlet, but Natsu responded with multiple Back Elbows. Mordecai continued to hold on, attempting to pull him off the ladder, but Natsu pushed him into the corner.
"That's a mighty long fall for both competitors, so Natsu's going to have to keep Mordecai at bay while he's climbing!" Beth exclaimed as Mordecai was able to land on his feet, quickly slide out of the ring, and grabbed a steel chair from underneath the ring. Just as Natsu made it to the top of the ladder, Mordecai hit Natsu in the back several times with the steel chair causing the crowd to cheer as Natsu slid down the ladder. Mordecai put the chair down, grabbed Natsu by the hair, and threw Natsu into the cage face first before beginning to climb up the ladder.
"And now Mordecai is climbing up the ladder while Natsu is staggering around the ringside area, holding his head!" Okabe narrated as Mordecai made it halfway across the ladder before a still dazed Natsu grabbed the steel chair from the floor, and threw it at Mordecai's back, sending him falling down a couple of rungs. Natsu then started walking over to the ladder and grabbed Mordecai down from the ladder by the hair. The crowd cheered as Natsu started punching Mordecai in the face before throwing him back into the ring, jumping onto the apron, and hitting a Springboard Guillotine Leg Drop across Mordecai's throat.
"I think both men realized that they were going to need to do more damage to each other before beginning to climb the ladder again," Cornette explained as Natsu stomped on Mordecai's gut a couple of times before hitting him with a Twisting Leg Drop across Mordecai's throat. Meanwhile, the BTWF Championship belt was finally secured above the upper-level cage while Natsu picked Mordecai up, and started kicking him in the chest and leg. However, Mordecai was able to jump over one of Natsu's kicks and attempted to hit him with a Reverse Atomic Drop.
"Mordecai and Natsu are still so evenly matched in this contest, which is surprising given how much damage these men have done to each other," Okabe explained as Natsu elbowed Mordecai in the back of the neck several times before sending Mordecai down with a Jumping DDT. The crowd cheered as Natsu told the crowd that it was done, and jumped up to the top rope before doing his 'Dra-gon-eel' taunt. However, before he could hit the Five Star Dragon Splash (Five Star Frog Splash), Mordecai got to his knees, and pushed the top rope, causing Natsu to trip on the top turnbuckle, and fall on his crown jewels on the top turnbuckle.
"Natsu landing right on his balls, giving Mordecai enough time to hopefully catch his breath!" Beth exclaimed as Mordecai started climbing up the top rope. However, rather than hit Natsu with a big top rope move, Mordecai used Natsu's back as a Springboard, using it to jump onto the ladder placed on the outside, causing the crowd to explode as Mordecai made it to the top of the ladder, and open the red trap door on the top of the steel cage ceiling. Natsu was able to make it to his feet, and walk the ropes so that he could make it to the other side of the ladder.
"It's a race to the 2nd level of the triple-decker cage! Mordecai is already at the top, but opening that heavy trap door may have taken away his breath for a moment," Okabe explained as Natsu started jumping over the rungs of the ladder, and when he got to the top of the ladder, he started punching and chopping Mordecai in the chest. However, Mordecai was able to hit several back elbows to the side of Natsu's head, sending him staggering back down a couple of rungs. The crowd continued to cheer as Mordecai grabbed the ceiling of the steel cage, and attempted to pull himself up to the next floor.
"Mordecai has Natsu staggered, and gave himself a clear track to the next level of the cage!" Beth exclaimed as before Mordecai could pull himself up, Natsu made it back to the top of the ladder, and once again began hitting multiple Knife-Edge Chops to the chest of Mordecai. However, Mordecai responded with several kicks to the chest and face, sending Natsu staggering back before Mordecai finally pulled himself to the next level of the triple-decker cage, causing the crowd to cheer.
"And Mordecai has made it to the second floor! This floor has a steel cage that is full of weapons for the competitors to use!" Beth exclaimed as Mordecai immediately ran into the steel cage, and started grabbing as many weapons as he could, which included a baseball bat, a couple of steel chairs, a trash can lid, and even another ladder. By this point, Natsu had climbed back up the ladder and followed Mordecai onto the second level of the Triple-Decker cage.
"And he's going to have to hurry up with those weapons, as Natsu has made it to the second level, and he has a smirk on his face. I guess he's impressed with Mordecai being able to make it to the second level before he did," Cornette explained as Natsu ran into the room, and attempted to hit Mordecai with a Running Clothesline, but Mordecai responded with a Spinning Wheel Kick to the face, sending Natsu down. The crowd continued to cheer as Mordecai grabbed a Kendo Stick from the ceiling and hit Natsu with a couple of shots to the back with the Kendo Stick.
"Well, it looks like Mordecai took your advice there, Jim, as he's hitting Natsu with that Kendo Stick!" Okabe exclaimed as Mordecai picked Natsu up, and started hitting him with multiple punches to the face before throwing him into the side of the cage, causing Natsu's face to also hit the side of a table that was hanging off of the ceiling. Mordecai then went to leave the cage, and when he opened the door to leave, the crowd cheered as Natsu grabbed a third steel chair hanging off of the ceiling, and threw it at Mordecai's back.
"Mordecai is learning a tough lesson that a lot of Natsu's opponents learn; Natsu doesn't go down without a fight!" Beth exclaimed as Natsu spat some spit mixed with blood as he staggered over to a dazed Mordecai. Natsu put Mordecai in a front facelock and started clubbing him in the back before picking him up and hitting him with a Snap Vertical Suplex that caused his back to hit the side of the second steel cage. The crowd cheered as Natsu kept Mordecai in the air, and dropped him down on the steel with a Gourdbuster, causing Mordecai's face and chest to bounce off of the steel.
"Ouch! That had to hurt! Landing from that height on your face and chest only equals pain!" Cornette exclaimed as Natsu stomped on Mordecai a couple of times, and kicked Mordecai in the side to place him on his back. Natsu then gave the cheering crowd a thumbs-up before climbing up the side of the second cage and attempting to hit Mordecai with a Split-Legged Moonsault onto Mordecai. Mordecai put his knees up to counter the move, but Natsu was able to see this coming, stopping himself shortly before hitting Mordecai's knees and hitting him with a Standing Moonsault.
"Natsu showing some of his smarts, which have only increased as his experience as the top champion grows," Okabe explained as Natsu grabbed the lid of the trash can, hit Mordecai in the face with a trash can lid. Natsu then placed the lid on Mordecai's face and attempted to hit another leg drop across Mordecai's face, but Mordecai grabbed the trash can lid, and threw it right into Natsu's face, sending him staggering into the wall of the cage. Mordecai got back to his feet, grabbed the trash can lid, and hit Natsu in the gut several times with the trash can lid while Natsu was still leaning on the wall of the cage.
"Mordecai getting aggressive with that trash can lid! I've never seen many times where the trash can is used as a weapon to the midsection!" Beth exclaimed as Mordecai hit Natsu with several more forearms to the side of the face before backing away. The crowd continued to cheer as Mordecai ran at Natsu, and hit him with a One Man Poetry in Motion that had enough force to send both Mordecai and Natsu through the side of the cage wall. The crowd exploded as Natsu and Mordecai rolled back into the 2nd cage after the side of the cage wall came down.
"Thank God we had all these cages and steel floors reinforced, or else we would've had a catastrophe on our hands!" Cornette exclaimed as Mordecai was able to get back to his feet first. Natsu was on his knees, and Mordecai responded by clubbing him in the back and the back of the neck before throwing him to the side. Mordecai then grabbed the table from earlier and took it down from the ceiling. As Natsu began to stir again, Mordecai ran and hit a Penalty Kick to Natsu's chest before grabbing a ladder from the ceiling and putting it on the ground.
"Mordecai now has a table and a ladder in his possession, as if we don't have enough carnage going on here!" Okabe exclaimed as Mordecai grabbed Natsu by his hair, kicked him in the gut, and hit him with the Twist of Hate (Twist of Fate, but as a Stunner). While Natsu was staggering around, Mordecai started taking the table outside and setting it up, causing the crowd to cheer. Mordecai then walked back into the second cage, attempting to grab the ladder, but Natsu grabbed Mordecai's hands and started kicking him in the face.
"Natsu knows that nothing good comes from a table and a ladder combination, so he's wisely trying to stop whatever Mordecai has planned!" Beth exclaimed as Natsu attempted to hit a kick to the side of Mordecai's head, but Mordecai was able to dodge, hit Natsu with a Reverse Atomic Drop, and then drop him with a Neckbreaker before going back outside of the cage with the ladder. Mordecai took the ladder, walked closer to the table, and set up the ladder next to the table before going back into the cage to get Natsu.
"Well, it seems like Mordecai's going through with whatever he has planned!" Okabe exclaimed as Mordecai dragged Natsu by the singlet out of the cage, and put him on the table. The crowd cheered as Mordecai hit multiple punches and forearms to Natsu's face before he began climbing up to the top of the ladder. Mordecai then takes off his sleeveless T-Shirt and throws it on Natsu as he makes it to the upper rungs of the ladder. However, the shirt being thrown at Natsu seemed to have woken him up, as he got off of the table, and started climbing up the ladder.
"Not if Natsu has anything to say about it, Okabe!" Beth exclaimed as Natsu was able to get to the top of the ladder, and exchanged punches with Mordecai. Mordecai hit multiple Back Elbows to the side of Natsu's head before putting him in position for the Twist of Fate, causing the crowd to cheer as Mordecai maneuvered himself so that he could put Natsu through the table. However, the crowd cheered as Mordecai hit several Crossface shots to Mordecai's face, and sent Mordecai falling off of the ladder and onto the table.
"Oh good, Lord! Natsu just sent Mordecai falling from the ladder, but the table is still in one piece!" Cornette exclaimed as Natsu looked shocked as Mordecai was still on the table that didn't break. Natsu looked on at the crowd, shrugged, and dived off of the top of the ladder with a Five Star Dragon Splash (Five Star Frog Splash), causing the crowd to explode as the table did break while Natsu immediately tried to use the ladder to climb back up to his feet.
"Well if the table wasn't broken before, it is now!" Beth exclaimed as Natsu was able to get back to his feet after using a couple of rungs of the ladder to pull himself up. Natsu started walking up to the cage and began climbing up the side of the cage wall as Mordecai held his chest in pain from the impact of the Dragon Splash. Natsu was climbing slower than he would due to the damage done to his midsection. By the time Natsu made it halfway up the steel cage, Mordecai was finally able to stagger back to his feet, and when he noticed that Natsu was climbing up the cage, Mordecai pushes the ladder into Natsu's back, causing him to go to a complete stop, sending the ladder trapped in a diagonal position leading to the side of the wall. Mordecai looked at this new path he inadvertently created and nodded to himself before running up the diagonal ladder, and jumping up onto the side of the cage wall.
"Mordecai is now exactly in the same part of the wall as Natsu, and now it's another race to the top!" Cornette exclaimed as Mordecai and Natsu began slowly climbing onto the last level of the triple-decker cage. Natsu and Mordecai made it to the top of the wall, and Mordecai started punching Natsu in the top of the head, before pulling himself to the top of the second cage. Mordecai then went into the third cage and saw that the cage was full of guitars hanging from the ceiling.
"I…don't know why guitars are in the cage, but from what we've seen with men like Jeff Jarrett, Elias, and others, these weapons can cause some major damage," Okabe explained as Mordecai grabbed one of the guitars from the ceiling and attempted to hit Natsu with a guitar while he was climbing back up. Natsu was able to dodge the guitar shot and finally made it to the top of the second cage before kicking Mordecai in the gut and attempting to throw him into the wall. However, the crowd cheered as Mordecai was able to jump up onto the middle of the side of the third cage wall, and hit Natsu with a Whisper in the Wind.
"What a counter by Mordecai! A Whisper in the Wind from the side of the cage!" Cornette exclaimed as Mordecai picked up Natsu, and attempted to hit him with the Twist of Fate, but Natsu was able to push him into the cage. Mordecai was able to stop himself from slamming into the cage and attempted to hit another Whisper in the Wind, but Natsu was able to roll out of the way, but Mordecai was able to land on his feet. However, when Mordecai turned around, Natsu hit him in the face with a Superkick before giving him a High Head Kick, sending Mordecai on all fours.
"Natsu sending Mordecai down on his knees with several powerful kicks to the head!" Okabe exclaimed as Natsu grabbed Mordecai, and attempted to put him in position for the Brilliant Flame (Package Fallaway Powerbomb). However, Mordecai was able to punch Natsu in the gut in an attempt to escape the hold, but Natsu was able to keep Mordecai held. However, Mordecai started ramming Natsu into the side of the cage multiple times and wouldn't stop until Natsu let go. The crowd cheered as Mordecai threw Natsu to the ground, and went into the steel cage so that he could get another guitar from the ceiling.
"Mordecai has another guitar! What's he going to do with it now!?" Beth asked as Mordecai waited for Natsu to get back up to his feet. However, when he did, Natsu was able to hit Mordecai with the Van Daminator, sending the guitar crashing right into Mordecai's face and Mordecai falling down to the cage floor. The crowd exploded as Natsu started staggering to the walls of the cage, looking up at his BTWF Championship hanging from the ceiling of the arena, and began climbing up the final steel cage.
"Natsu sent the guitar crashing right into Mordecai's face, and you can see his face covered in guitar strings and pieces of the guitar!" Cornette exclaimed as Natsu was able to pull himself onto the top of the cage. The crowd exploded as Natsu grabbed the BTWF Championship, and took it off of the hook, putting the title over his shoulder.
*Bell Rings*
"Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner and still the BTWF Champion, Natsu Dragneel!" Tim Barr announced as Natsu fell onto his knees, completely exhausted from the action he and Mordecai went through. Mordecai looked up at Natsu celebrating on all fours with the BTWF Championship and put his hands over his face in disappointment before trying to sit up. Natsu looked down at a frustrated Mordecai and started climbing down the final cage.
"Natsu was once again able to overcome the odds, defeating Mordecai in this unique match that Mordecai himself picked!" Cornette exclaimed as Natsu was able to jump down from the top cell and onto the ceiling of the middle cage before extending a hand to Mordecai. Mordecai looked Natsu up and down for a moment before accepting his offer for help, causing the crowd to cheer as both men hugged and raised each others' arms up in victory.
"Natsu also doing the right thing, and showing some sportsmanship to a—Hey! What the hell is this!?" Beth exclaimed as Denki Kaminari came running down the entranceway, and started climbing up the cage with immense speed. The crowd booed as Mordecai and Natsu noticed this, and met Kaminari on the top of the bottom cage. Unfortunately, due to Mordecai and Natsu just being in an intense match, Kaminari was able to hit Natsu with a knee to the gut and knock him down with the Surge (Claymore Kick).
"Kaminari has said that he was going to be making a statement, and I guess that statement is beginning now!" Okabe exclaimed as Mordecai grabbed Kaminari, and started punching him several times, but Kaminari responded by leveling Mordecai with a forearm to the side of the head. The crowd continued to boo as Kaminari picked Mordecai back up and hit him with the Aftershock DDT (Future Shock DDT). Kaminari then looked down at the floor of the entranceway, and then smirked as he grabbed Mordecai by the pants, and threw him off of the top of the first cage, sending him crashing through the entranceway, much to the crowd's shock and horror.
"OH MY GOD! Kaminari just sent Mordecai falling from 16 feet and through the stage! He could be fucking dead!" Cornette exclaimed as Kaminari smirked at his handiwork, watching EMTs and multiple other medical personnel tending to a motionless Mordecai. After a moment, Kaminari climbed down the cage just as Natsu was able to get back to his feet and look at what Kaminari did.
"What the hell was all this about!? This was just a completely uncalled-for assault by Kaminari! I get wanting to move up in your career, but this is absolutely not the right way to go about it!" Okabe exclaimed as Kaminari got onto the floor, and walked up to a downed Mordecai. The crowd booed loudly as Kaminari playfully kicked Mordecai's head a couple of times in the side before walking back up the entranceway, his smirk never leaving his face.
"Assault!? Try attempted murder! Mordecai could be dead from that fall from the top of the cage!" Beth responded in anger as Natsu climbed down the cage as quickly as he could, going over to Mordecai's side to see if he was OK. The crowd chanted that Kaminari was a sick fuck and an asshole before EMTs put Mordecai on a stretcher and began rolling him away from the entranceway. The camera then panned to the backstage interview area, where Pieck Finger was standing next to Clover Lamoreaux.
"An absolutely horrendous display by Denki Kaminari, and hopefully he'll get the appropriate punishment for his actions. To give the announce team enough time to recover, I caught up with Clover, who is furious about not being included in the Christmas Chaos Lethal Lockdown match coming up next," Pieck explained as Clover glared at her before nodding and leaning the microphone closer to her.
"Of course I'm upset! A Superstar of my caliber should be on all the marquees for the show and all the main events. What kind of world is it where just because Asuka's former puppet got a lucky win means that she's more worthy of being on the team than me!?" Clover asked as Pieck shrugged in response before taking the microphone back.
"Well, what do you plan on doing about this perceived disrespect?" Pieck asked as Clover rolled her eyes before responding.
"First of all, it's not 'perceived' disrespect. Second, you'll have to stay tuned," Clover said as she made a move to walk away before Pieck grabbed her by the sleeve of her shirt.
"Before you go, do you want to offer any words to Mordecai as he's being transported to the hospital?" Pieck asked as Clover stroked her chin before responding with a nonchalant shrug.
"No," was all Clover said before she walked off as the camera panned to another part of the backstage area.
