"You can't be serious!" Raph shouted. He angrily paced around the shinobi lounge while everyone watched his rant. "Right, Leo?"
"I'm sorry, Raph, but we can't just go around the city." Leo said.
"But there's someone out there messing with us!" Raph argued. "We gotta find these evil shinobi and teach them a lesson!"
"And where do you suggest we look?" Leo asked. "We don't know where these evil shinobi are based, and we don't know what they're capable of. We need to keep our heads down until we know more and train more."
"Oh, so that's the plan from our great leader." Raph mocked. "Just sit here on our butts!"
"I never said I was a great leader."
"Well, you sure act like it sometimes!"
"Yeah? Well, you act like a jerk sometimes! You need to control your attitude and think this through!"
"You know what? I'll just take my attitude and leave!"
Raph opened the door and left the room leaving everyone else on their own. Leo grunted while everyone else stared awkwardly.
"Um… are those two always like that?" Ikaruga asked.
"Nah. This is one of their mildest arguments yet." Donnie said. "Back at New York, he and Leo would always butt heads about how to train, where to go during patrols, whether or not to follow Splinter's instructions…"
"Yeah." Mikey agreed. "Raph's just going out to blow some steam, and when he feels better, he'll just come back."
Katsuragi shrugged before standing back up. "Well, guess I gotta go pick him up."
"I'm not sure that's a good idea." Asuka said. "Raphael seemed pretty upset."
"Trust me. I can handle that bonehead."
As Mikey predicted, Raphael took his frustration out in the bamboo forest. He furiously swung his fists through the trees snappin right through them. He kicked some bamboo into breaking too. He grunted with each attack.
Right when he was getting at the peak of his anger, the entire area changed. The air became darker and a shade of purple filled the sky. Raph recognized this.
"A shinobi barrier?" Raph asked as he held up his sais. "All right! Which wiseguy decided to pick a fight with me?"
"That'd be me, Raph."
Raphael turned around only to find Katsuragi standing there. There was no one else.
"You?" Raph asked. "Why?"
"Well, you need to blow off some steam, don't you? I always find a good fight with a strong opponent is a good way to let your emotions out. So how about it? A rematch. This time, with our weapons."
Raphael chuckled as he raised his weapons. "If you say so, blondie. But don't think I'm going easy on you just because you're unarmed."
"Who said I'm unarmed?" Katsuragi asked as she held up a scroll. "Shinobi transformation!"
Suddenly, a bright light flashed from her nearly blinding the aggressive ninja turtle. When it dimmed and he could see again, he saw that Katsuragi's attire had changed. Her costume was more-or-less the same, except the middle of her top was open and she wore a black and bronze set of heavy metal boots.
"What the heck?" Raph asked.
"It's called shinobi transformation." Katsuragi said. "Our scrolls can change us into more battle-appropriate clothes that are stronger and, much to my delight, more revealing."
"Seriously? I can't do that!"
"Well, all you wear are those belts and bandanas. Not sure what you can do with that. Anyway…" She bent her knee and raised her leg up. "You ready?"
Raph accepted the challenge and posed himself once more. "Come and get it, baby!"
Katsuragi and Raphael charged at each other. Kat sent kicks to Raph's direction, which he blocked with his sais. He then struck back, but she easily blocked his attacks with her feet. They launched each other into the air and used the bamboo trees to spring themselves harder.
There were times when Raphael was brought to the ground. Other times, it was Katsuragi. In the end, however, Katsuragi managed to catch Raphael by surprised with a chain attack of spinning kicks that eventually had him swirling around like a tornado before he dropped to the ground.
"I win!" Katsuragi declared.
Raphael grunted in disappointment. "Can't believe it!"
"Hey, don't beat yourself up." Katsuragi said. "Just because I beat you, it doesn't mean I'm better. You really had me on my toes there. In my book, we're basically equals."
"Then how'd I end up on my face?" Raph asked picking himself up.
"All that did was end the fight. It didn't prove anything." Katsuragi said. "I admit, there were times where I lost to Ikaruga in the past, but I got my fair share of wins against her too. In the end, the fight doesn't prove who's better. It just brings us closer. Hehe. Although, I do admit, you are pretty cute when you're mad."
"I'm not cute!" Raph protested. "And why are you trying to tease me? I thought you were into girls."
"Don't get me wrong. I am pretty passionate about another girl's melons. But in all honesty, it wouldn't hurt to go out with a guy. So now that that's all cleared up, you feel better?"
Raphael sighed. "All right. All right. You made your point."
"Good, because before we head back to Hanzo Academy, there's something I'd like to show you. Come on."
Raph followed her deeper into the bamboo forest. They stopped outside of a wooden gate with a fence reaching out from its sides.
"What is this place? Is this one of those gated communities I've seen on TV?" Raph asked.
"Actually, no." Katsuragi answered actually showing a frown. "This is a farm. More specifically, it's… my parents' farm."
Raph turned his head toward her in surprise. "Come again?"
"Years ago, they used to be shinobi. They were assigned a special job that they couldn't complete. Because of that failure, they were sentenced to death. Instead, they ran away and disappeared. Just a short while ago, I found my old family dog and he lead me here where I saw them."
"Did you talk to them?"
"No. The reason I decided to become a shinobi was to restore their honor. And maybe, their sentence would be reduced and they could one day return home to me. Until that day comes, all I'll ever see them through this gate where they'll have no idea of my presence."
"You really love your parents that much, huh? Even after they left you."
"They left me to protect me. Besides, you don't love family in return for something. It's just something that can't be helped. I mean, you're always yelling at your brothers, but I know you love them."
Raph lowered his head. "Yeah. I guess so. Thanks, Kat."
"No problem." Katsuragi said giving him a light tap on his shoulder with her fist.
"Still, this doesn't seem fair. I mean, your parents only failed one mission, and suddenly, they're fugitives?"
"I know. The shinobi council can be a bit strict sometimes."
"Splinter's strict when he puts me and the others in the Ha-Shi. The council basically called your parents criminals for one botched mission. Not only that, but they wanted to punish Splinter for something that couldn't be helped."
"I know. It's not right. But that's just how it is. And I'm going to need to be on good terms with them if I hope to convince them to pardon my parents. I don't agree with them, but there's nothing I can do about it. Come on. We should head back to Hanzo Academy."
Raph followed Katsuragi back through the forest. They were a couple of miles away from the farm they just left when something strange happened. Another purple aura enveloped the field. It was another shinobi barrier.
"Uh, Kat, are you challenging me to a rematch or something?"
"This isn't me."
"How curious." Said a new voice. Raph and Kat looked across the area to find a teenage girl with green hair, snake-like eyes, and a blank expression on her face seeing them. "An actual turtle that's somehow been taught the ways of the ninja."
"Kat, do you know this girl?" Raph asked.
"I don't know. Let me grab her boobs and maybe I'll recognize her by her cup size."
"I'll answer for you. We have never met. My name is Hikage, a student of Hebijo Academy."
"Hebijo?" Katsuragi said with a surprised look. "That's who's been harassing us?"
"What's Hebijo?" Raphael asked.
"A school for evil ninja. One of the best known so far."
"So you're the one who attacked us with those puppets the other day?" Raphael asked Hikage.
"Actually, that was the work of my associate, Haruka. But if you're asking if I'm among the elite five students of Hebijo who organized the attack, then yes."
"Sheesh, lady. If you're proud about it, the least you could do is smile." Katsuragi said. "That cold stare is kinda freaking me out."
"I don't see any reason to smile." Hikage said. "I don't see any reason to feel emotion at all."
"I'll give you a reason to be mad when we kick your butt!" Raphael said as he raised his sais.
Hikage gave another cold stare before holding up her scroll. "Shinobi transformation." Once again, a flash of light lit up the area. When it dimmed Hikage had on a pair of jeans along with a snake-themed bra. She also held a dagger in her hand.
"Nice outfit." Katsuragi said. "Let's dance!"
Raphael and Katsuragi charged toward the Hebijo girl. But before they know it, Hikage jumped in between them and swung her blade. The two barely dodged which gave her the opportunity to grab Katsuragi by her ankle and throw her toward Raphael. While they rolled to the ground, Hikage sliced at a bamboo tree and it fell right on top of them. Raphael managed to block it with his shell, but Hikage quickly slithered beneath him and kicked him in the face.
Katsuragi found her opportunity and sent her own kick which impacted at Hikage. Raphael capitalized on it by tackling her and dropping her down onto the ground. He wasn't done. He grabbed her ankles and spun her around and around until Katsuragi stopped the spinning with her own kick right where Hikage was. It hit her so much, that when she was thrown to the ground, it left a massive impact. At that point, both Raphael and Katsuragi were very much exhausted, but they were proud of their accomplishment.
"Well, that oughta teach her." Katsuragi said. "Feel something now?"
"I bet she really feels pain." Raphael added. "If she didn't, then I'd… Oh, you've got to be kidding me!"
Their so-called "victory" was short-lived. Instead, Hikage emerged herself from the trench she made at normal speed and stood herself back up like it was nothing.
"That… That's impossible." Katsuragi said. "How are you still standing?"
"Because even together, the two of you are still weak." Hikage answered. "You said you would make me feel something, but you failed. Anyway, I only came to measure you up. So far, I'm unimpressed. I'll see you later." She crouched down in second, and in the next, she was gone leaving the other two stunned.
"What… How… I…" Raph gasped. "I have so many questions!"
"Well, this is something I didn't see coming." Katsuragi said. "Still, we can take her next time… somehow."
When they all returned to the lounge, the turtles and the girls met up behind the couch. They all had disturbed looks on their faces as they all said the same thing at the same time.
"You will not believe what happened! We got attacked! Wait, you got attacked? I got attacked too! Wait, what?"
"Okay, everyone, stop!" Leo shouted. "Now, it seems we all have stories. So let's take it from the top…"
Author's Note: As you can probably tell, this chapter as well as the next three are a four-part collection of ninja turtles interacting with the Hanzo girl before meeting up with the girls' Hebijo rivals.
A good question has occurred to me thanks to a certain PM'er. I'm thinking about mutating some of the girls in the Senran Kagura series in the future, but I don't know who or into what. So which shinobi girl would you like to see mutated and what into?
Any and all comments are welcome.
