A/N: This was written for Dustbunny3's TenSaku challenge (check her page for details). It seemed interesting, so I thought, 'Why not?' It was a lot of fun to write, actually. Jeez Dustbunny, what's with you and getting me hooked on pairings, hm? ;P Anyways, I hope you all like this. Oh, and by the way, the drabble itself, minus the author note, is 513 words long.
(Edit: Dustbunny pointed out a few errors, so I decided to edit them. :D)
Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto, it belongs to Masashi Kishimoto.

"Tenten, please."
"No."
"Why not?"
"I told you, I'm too busy."
This exchange had been going on for the past few days; it was always the same. Sakura would ask Tenten to help train her, and Tenten would tell her no. It was starting to get annoying, especially since Tenten could be using the time she spent arguing with Sakura for other, more important things. Although, she had to admit that she was impressed by Sakura's persistence.
"It would only take about an hour a day! Please?" Sakura asked again. Finally, Tenten sighed.
"Sakura, why do you want to train with me so badly? What is it that you need help on?" The pink-haired kunoichi seemed to be surprised by the question, but she quickly recovered, flashing Tenten a smile.
"Defense. I mean, I heard that you were pretty good with it, so I thought that maybe you could help me out." Tenten stared at her in disbelief.
"You need help with your defenses?"
Sakura nodded. "Yes. They're okay right now, but they're not good enough when it comes to Naruto and Sasuke."
"Why don't you ask one of them to help you, then?" Tenten suggested. Sakura frowned, tilting her head.
"Because I want to surprise them." Then, switching tactics, she asked once more, "Please Tenten, I want to try and get to Naruto and Sasuke's level. If you can teach me better defenses, I would be so grateful!"
Tenten sighed again, pressing a hand to her forehead. "Alright, fine. Meet me at the training grounds tomorrow at 7:00 A.M." Sakura's eyes widened in surprise, but then an expression of excitement and happiness crossed her face.
"Thank you! Thank you, thank you, thank you!" She threw her arms around Tenten's neck and the brunette sighed. What had she gotten herself into?
To her surprise, however, Sakura was a very good sparring partner. There were many flaws in her defenses, yes, but they could be easily fixed if the green-eyed female tried hard enough. Tenten even found herself enjoying the little training sessions, often looking forward to them.
So she was admittedly rather sad when, after about two and a half months, she told Sakura that her training was finished. The girl was overjoyed, and she hugged Tenten tightly.
"Wow, I can't believe it! Thank you so much Tenten! How could I ever repay you?"
"You're welcome, and it's fine Sakura, you don't need to," Tenten said, pushing the girl back. Sakura, however, didn't seem to have heard the other girl, and was instead frowning thoughtfully. Then her face lit up, and she looked at Tenten with a bright, slightly mischievous smile.
"No, I think I know something…" Before Tenten could ask what, a pair of soft lips covered her own. She was stunned, and a little scared; for the first time during the past couple months of their training, she had let her defenses down. Was she prepared to accept the risks that might come with it?
When she felt Sakura's tongue brush her bottom lip, she decided that yes, she was.
