The sun had set and the night has begun. The shinobi of Hebijo Academy had anticipated an attack by their enemies. They set up several guards to post on the outer walls. Snipers nests were filled with archers. Several students and Foot ninja awaited an attack behind the front gate. And most of all, the Shredder had awaited at his office looking out his window. He glared down at the academy grounds and the forest beyond the walls.
The guards posted at the gate stood straight in silence. They were Foot ninja who were trained for any attack. They stayed quiet keeping an ear out for any sign of movement in the forest. They figured it wouldn't be hard to hear nine teenagers trying to sneak through the forest. But they didn't expect to hear the distant sound of a machine running.
A light began to shine in the road ahead. As it became brighter, the Foot realized that it was big and getting closer. The more it closed in, the more they saw it for what it really was: a green garbage truck with extra mechanical extensions. And it didn't show any signs of slowing down. The ninja at the front realized how it sped up and jumped out of the way and the truck just crashed right through.
The shinobi inside the grounds were thrown off-guard at the sight of the garbage truck breaking through. And they were even more surprised when a turret gun popped out of its left side. A whir later, and it began shooting large, metallic disks that were implanted right into the ground. It shot more disks that the shinobi tried to miss. Some of them hit their targets knocking them over. One of the Hebijo students took a look at the disks that were shot.
"Wait. Are these… manhole covers?"
Inside of the garbage truck, Michelangelo exclaimed himself in excitement firing the manhole cover cannon at the evil shinobi that surrounded. His brothers, the Hanzo girls, and Splinter sat in different seats inside of the truck which was set up like a battle tank that seated many people.
"TAKE THAT, HEBIJO!" Mikey shouted. "THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU MESS WITH SOMEONE WHO SPENT TEN YEARS ON VIDEO GAMES! WOO-HOO!"
"You had coffee before we left, didn't you?" Donnie asked.
"Coconut cake and coffee!" Mikey answered.
"We drove a garbage truck through an evil shinobi school, and now, we're shooting manhole covers at the enemy." Ikaruga said. "Not exactly the standard method of a shinobi."
"It's called the Shellraiser." Donnie said.
"I ain't complaining." Katsuragi said. "Besides, we're so cramped, I get to do this to you more often." She giggled as her hands made her way to both Ikaruga and Asuka's breasts which surprised them both.
"We've got only one shot at this!" Splinter cried out. "Donatello, drive through the grounds!"
"Hai, sensei!" Donnie said.
"And while we're doing that, let's put on some tunes." Raph said as he put a CD into the radio.
Just then, the music began to play inside the garbage truck. They all recognized it as the Immigrant Song by Led and Lez Zeppelin. Strangely enough, the song energized everyone while Donnie began driving toward the waves of evil shinobi.
The Shellraiser plowed through a large group of shinobi while Mikey readied the manhole covers firing them at them. They drove the truck much rougher to defeat the evil shinobi that tried to attack.
Soon enough, some of the Foot made it on top of the truck. One of them raised his sword and stabbed through the roof with it spooking everyone.
"Uh, they're on the roof!" Hibari cried out.
"Stay close, Hibari." Yagyu said.
"I'll take care of them." Splinter said. He opened up the side door and climbed up to the Shellraiser that was still driving across the grounds. The shinobi noticed Splinter and tried to attack them, but he surprised them with master-level skills. He kept his balance on the charging truck with his tail.
Once all the shinobi were off the top of the truck, the Shellraiser had made it back to the front of the Hebijo grounds. Splinter looked up to the tower before them and saw that on the top floor, there was a glimmer of silver metal glistening. He scowled before tapping the top of the Shellraiser with his cane.
"Michelangelo! Fire the next manhole cover as high as you can aiming at the tower!"
"Uh, sure thing, sensei."
Mikey aimed his cannon as high as he could. Right before he pulled the trigger, Splinter hopped on top of the manhole cover and was blasted off on top of it. As soon as he was close enough, he jumped off the manhole cover and began scaling up the wall of the tower.
"Wow." Asuka said. "He's amazing."
"No kidding." Leo said. "So while he's going high, let's go low."
"On it." Donnie said beginning to change his gear shift. "Everyone better brace yourselves!"
Everyone held on tight to each other right as Donnie slammed his foot on the accelerator. The Shellraiser charged forward to the front door of the tower. The turtles and girls embraced the crash that followed right the door. The Shellraiser was strong enough to actually fly right through and once it hit the ground on the main floor, it broke right through.
The Shellraiser crashed through the main floor and ended up underneath right in front of a set of cages. Rin was inside one of them and was surprised to see it fall right in front of her. The Shellraiser turned off and the door opened up. The turtles and girls climbed out of the crash and coughed in the dust cloud they made. Rin was utterly surprised to see them in person.
"Well, not the flashiest entrance," Donnie said, "But I like to think we made an impact."
"Next time, I drive." Raph said.
"And crash into even more stuff?" Katsuragi asked. "Don't think so."
"I don't believe it." Rin said from her cell. "You're the turtles and the students of Hanzo Academy."
"Yeah. And you are…" Leo asked.
"My name is Rin. I'm a teacher here."
"And you're behind bars?" Mikey asked. "What happened? Did you send your honor student to detention?"
"My honor student and her friends are actually the ones I'm trying to save." Rin said. "Let me out of here. I've got to stop the Shredder before he does something bad to Homura and the others."
"And what is he planning?" Ikaruga asked.
"I don't know. He never told me."
"Well, that's awfully convenient." Raph said with suspicion in his voice. "I say we just leave her here. For all we know, this could be a trap."
"No, this isn't." Rin said. "You have to trust me."
"Give us one good reason and we will." Leo said.
"Who do you think showed you how to get to Hebijo Academy in the first place?"
The turtles and the girls stared for a second. Yagyu pulled out the same kunai knife that was sent to them anonymously before. "You gave us Hebijo's coordinates? Why?"
"We may be evil ninja, but I'll be damned before letting the Shredder harm my students for his own benefit." Rin said. "Now let me out."
The teens looked at each other before nodding. Leo approached the door and sliced at the lock with both of his katanas. The door creaked open and Rin walked out.
"Just so you know," Asuka said, "A friend of ours is heading up there right now to face the Shredder. He's a master, so he has good chances."
"His odds will be better when I get there." Rin said. "If you're looking for the girls, they're up at the students section. I expect the Shredder told them to await you."
"All right." Leo said. "Let's go, team."
Up at his office, the Shredder moved away from the window with his back turned. But he had expected an attack. That's why when Splinter broke through the window, he wasn't phased. In fact, he turned to confront him in a calm manner.
"So not only do I have to deal with turtle freaks, but also a giant rat." The Shredder said. "I take it you're their master."
"More than that." Splinter said. "I am their father, Oroku Saki."
"You know my name? Who are you?"
Splinter took a breath as if he was ready to step off a cliff on purpose. "Fifteen years ago, you thought you finished me in New York. But because of you, everything about me changed."
The Shredder's burned face was clearly surprised. His eyes widened right through his helmet. "Hamato Yoshi? You're alive? And a rat?"
"And still more human than you are, Saki." Splinter said. "I have been scared to face you, but I'm tired of hiding. You took away my family once. I will die before I let you do it again."
In that moment, all of the Shredder's most rageful moments flooded back within him. All the emotions he thought he had gotten over returned and his heart grew ever so bitter. He gave a slight chuckle which concerned Splinter.
"I'll be honest. I'm glad you survived. Because now…" He readied his spiked gauntlets getting into a battle stance. "I get to kill you all over again."
Author's Note: The battle has just begun. Next chapter, we will get an emotional fight between Splinter and Shredder. Any and all comments are welcome.
