The wind blew softly through the broken window where Splinter stood before. His eyes were darted sharply at the Shredder who had his claws out.

"Oroku Saki," Splinter said, "I'm giving you this one chance. Surrender the Ninja Arts Scroll your school has taken, allow me, my sons, and the Hanzo girls to be free, and we can walk away from this peacefully."

"Peace?" Shredder asked. "After all these years, after what I've done to you, you still resort to something as weak and foolish as peace?"

"Believe me, Saki, for a long time, I have wanted nothing more than to make you pay for what you've done to me, to my clan, to my father, and most of all, to Tang Shen. You betrayed us and we were family."

"Were we? Because the last I've heard, your father slaughtered my family and stole me as an infant."

"I had no idea about any of that until after graduation, after you disappeared. I still loved you as a brother."

"If you did, you'd… SHOW IT TO ME!"

The Shredder immediately jumped forward to slash his clawed gauntlets down. Thankfully, Splinter saw it coming and jumped backwards right through the broken window. Shredder jumped through the window to follow Splinter. While falling across the air above the Hebijo, Splinter and Shredder exchanged blows that the other blocked or countered. They eventually landed on a rooftop on their own two feet.

Splinter spun his staff around to shoot roof tiles at the Shredder. Though some hit his helmeted head, he blocked the others with his arms. Shredder ended the tile throwing with a jab that Splinter blocked with his staff. The two of them pushed for control just inches from each other.

"For fifteen years," Shredder growled, "I have felt this burning hatred on my face because of your selfishness."

"Nothing I did was selfish!" Splinter responded.

"You knew I loved Tang Shen! You always knew! But when she chose you over me, what did you do? NOTHING!"

Splinter finally managed to spin his staff around to break the stalemate. He then shot a kick to knock the Shredder back a few feet. "I loved Shen too, Oroku Saki! And whoever she chose was her decision! That was not my fault! If she had chosen you, I would live with that!"

"But she didn't." Shredder said. He charged forward and went on a wild offensive. Splinter used his staff to block all the slashes attempted at him. The rat mutant was forced to take steps back staying on the defensive. "She chose you. You took her from me! You take everything from me!"

When there was no more roof left for Splinter, the Shredder hit him with a kick strong enough to send him flying into the bamboo forest beside the school. Splinter grabbed onto a bamboo tree and slid it down to the ground. He found himself surrounded by bamboo in the dark night, but he knew the fight was far from over. He heard snaps from all around and he knew that the Shredder hiding among the trees. Splinter kept his guard up turning around for any sign of his enemy. All the while, he kept hearing his voice.

"We both knew I was stronger. We both knew I had the greater instinct. And yet, everything was handed to you, Hamato Yoshi. You got the highest honors from Hanzo Academy. You became the heir of the Hamato clan. You got Tang Shen. Meanwhile, I, the outcast, had nothing! I had no power, no respect! Nothing but a broken heart and a burning resentment that became hatred once I found out about my true parentage."

"No!" Splinter shot back. "You had more than just that, Saki! You had a home. You had a family. You were still someone I trusted to have by my side. Even after learning you were Oroku, I still missed you and wanted you home. But when you did, you burned everything down. You think you had nothing, Saki, but the truth is, you just weren't satisfied with what you had. You still wanted more. And even after you got revenge on me and ran the most powerful evil ninja clan in the world, it's still not enough for you. That's why you took over Hebijo Academy. Well, it ends now. Cease this evil right now and we can go our separate ways!"

Splinter suddenly heard the angry roar of Oroku Saki, who came at him with a dropkick. Splinter blocked it with his staff, but the Shredder caught him by surprise by grabbing his tail. Shredder landed on his feet and pulled hard throwing Splinter in a circle before letting go. Splinter got tossed right back into the Hebijo grounds.

Shredder jumped into the area to strike down at Splinter, but the rat jumped out of the way. The impact the Shredder made shot up a bunch of rocks and ground tiles. Splinter found a big rock and kicked it right at Shredder. The evil ninja threw a punch to shatter it, but Splinter revealed himself to be behind the rock and immediately struck the Shredder with a punch that sent him across the courtyard.

After getting back up, the Shredder dashed at Splinter with a back-handed strike, Splinter tried to block it with his staff, but the Shredder added a knee strike to add more force to it. The attack was strong enough to send Splinter flying up to the roof again right next to a tower. The Shredder leaped up to attack Splinter, but the rat shot his tail out to wrap around his throat. She used it to slam him town to the roof before spinning him around and crashing right into the tower wall.

Splinter followed the Shredder into an empty room with sliding walls. It's there that the two of them continued their exchange of blows. Some connected and some were blocked or countered. Eventually, Splinter managed to sent a strong kick to the side of Shredder's leg. That gave Splinter the opportunity to deliver a strong spinning heel kick that sent him sliding across the room.

The two of them were nearly out of breath and exhausted. Splinter still kept his guard up as he approached the his enemy that groaned.

"You think I can't be satisfied?" Shredder asked exhaustedly. "Maybe you're right. I could have all the power in the world, and it wouldn't be enough. But then again… WHAT'S SO WRONG WITH THAT?!"

The Shredder caught Splinter by surprise with a kick right at his right leg. A cracking sound came from it and Splinter yelled in response to it. The Shredder took his opportunity to kick back up and bombard Splinter with a barrage of punches and kicks that he couldn't see coming.

Shredder unsheathed one of his spikes in his gauntlets and sent a strong swipe at Splinter's head. The rat was knocked face down holding onto the side of his head in pain. He looked in front of him and saw a sliced off part of his ear on the ground in front of him. He turned his head back to the Shredder, who picked up his staff with both hands and broke it in half. After discarding Splinter's broken weapon, Shredder approached him with all his blades ready to strike.

"Before I end your miserable existence for the last time," Shredder said, "I must know. After everything I did to you, you still wanted to end this peacefully. Why? You yourself admitted that you wanted t make me pay. So why keep giving me chances? Don't tell me it's because of our past brotherhood."

Splinter groaned keeping a hand on his ear wound. "That. But there was another reason. If I did come at you with only revenge in my heart, I would never look my sons in the eye again. Leonardo. Raphael. Donatello. Michelangelo. I love my sons with all my heart and I know Tang Shen would too. They look up to me. They are inspired by me. So if I fight you with only vengeance and darkness in my heart, I am afraid of what it might send to my children. I would only kill if I have to. That's why I kept giving you a chance to let us go. It was for my sons."

The Shredder stared at his wounded opponent for a moment before giving a slight chuckle. That chuckle then became a haunting laugh. And that laugh grew into a hysterical monster uproar. "You really are that foolish, aren't you, Yoshi?! You thought I was just going to let you go because you had freaks for sons! After I am done with you, I will watch as my Hebijo elite fight your pathetic reptiles and their Hanzo allies to the death! And at the end of this bloodbath, it will be I, the Shredder, who stands over all! But first, to finish you off once and for all."

The Shredder raised his gauntlet overhead ready to thrust it down. Splinter closed his eyes ready to meet his fate. But then, something stopped the Shredder. He heard a floorboard creak. He turned and saw a shadow moving behind the sliding wall. He stared at the figure until the walls opened in a flash.

Rin burst through the walls with six big, black, curved blades in her hands. She had a black mask covering the lower half of her face that matched her top. She also wore a red scarf with white lines on it. She wore a gray and red bottomwear over her black boots. As she came in, she swung her blades which the Shredder blocked, but was still pushed back. She landed next to Splinter who she helped stand up.

"Can you still fight?" Rin asked.

"I can now." Splinter said removing his hand from his wounded ear. "Who are you?"

"An enemy of the Shredder. Guess that makes us allies."

The Shredder shot his angry eyes at the female shinobi. "Et tu, Rin?"

"Rin?" Splinter asked. "As in Kiriya's Rin? I thought you died."

"It's a long story." Rin said. "But the fact remains that I will not let the Shredder get away with turning the students here into his own puppets. Let's finish this."

Splinter nodded. "Agreed."

"I'll destroy you both is I have to!" Shredder shouted as he fired the first attack.

The fight continued and Rin assisted Splinter with his attacks against the Shredder exchanging blows with him. Though the Shredder was still tough even with the both of them, after a couple of minutes, Rin and Splinter gained the momentum they needed. Splinter swept Shredder's legs and Rin kicked him upward in midair. After which, the two of them jumped right above him and sent two powerful kicks down at him.

The attack was so strong, the three of them crashed right through the floor landing them right into a study room with shelves full of scrolls along the wall and a desk that had an open scroll. Groaning from intense exhaustion, the Shredder used the desk to pick himself back up before sitting at the chair behind it. It was then that he noticed Rin pointing a blade at him with Splinter standing beside her. Rin used her blade to remove the Shredder's helmet revealing his burned face.

"Heh. The irony." Shredder said looking at the room he was in. "So what now, Yoshi? You're going to let this woman kill me? Don't you want to give me one last chance?"

"No, Oroku Saki." Splinter said. "You have proven over and over again that you will stop at nothing until my family is destroyed. You are beyond redemption and you deserve your punishment."

"It's over, Shredder." Rin said. "By now, the Hanzo students and the turtles are just about to intercept the Hebijo students."

"…Good." The Shredder responded with a smile.

Splinter and Rin both shared confused looks. "Didn't you hear me? I said Hanzo and the turtles are going to stop them."

"Kudos."

Splinter then came to a sudden realization. "You wanted us to fight?"

"I told you, Hamato Yoshi, I will watch as your sons and Hanzo fights my elites to the death. And in the end, I will be the victor."

"You wanted Hanzo and Hebijo to go to war with each other?" Rin asked.

"From the very beginning." Shredder said. "Why do you think I sent Homura and the others to keep attacking the Hanzo girls unprovoked? Why do you think I allowed that cowardly Hanzo girl to shelter here with us? Why do you think allowed the good shinobi to take her back afterwards? I thought I had to come up with a plan of my own to let them know where Hebijo Academy is, but you did that part for me, Rin? For that, you have my thanks."

"You did all of this on purpose?" Rin asked. "Why? I don't understand! Start telling us what's going on!"

"Why should I tell you when you can read it for yourself." The Shredder said as he placed his hand on the scroll on the desk.

Rin took the paper and held it up by one end while Splinter held it by the other. The two of them scanned their eyes over the paper reading the words written in. After a minute of quick studying, the two of them ended up with frightened expressions as if they were witnessing a nightmare.

"It can't be!" Splinter gasped. "The attacks! The war! The scrolls! That's what this is about?!"

"He wouldn't! Would he?" Rin asked.

Both Splinter and Rin turned back to confront the Shredder, but much to their shock, he was no longer sitting in the chair. He disappeared from the room.

"Where is he?" Rin asked.

"Forget him!" Splinter said with the scroll in his hands. "We need to find the kids and warn them all what Shredder is planning! I hope we're not too late!"

More shinobi grunts confronted the turtles and the Hanzo girls, but they were quickly disposed of. They made it to a place that lead to all sorts of different rooms. Once there, Michelangelo leaped forward ahead of the group to take care of the last enemies. One of the Foot tried to attack him from behind, but he ducked his head in his shell and countered with a side kick knocking him out.

"GOD, I LOVE BEING A TURTLE!" he cheered.

"That's using your shell!" Raph exclaimed.

"Okay, we're in." Katsuragi said. "Now what?"

"Now…" The teens looked ahead seeing the ones they were looking for. Homura, Hikage, Yomi, Haruka, and Mirai were in their shinobi forms with their weapons ready. Homura was in the front with the ninja scroll in her hand. "You reach your ends."

"Oh, boy." Leo said. "It looks like we made it to the main event."
