That night, Dooku was held in a special cell with the Force-cuffs on him.

"Alright, Dooku." said Peppermint, pacing in the cell.

Peppermint wore a police uniform, trying to look more intimidating to the Sith Lord, and had a lamp shining on him like in a good-cop-bad-cop drama. Obviously, she was the bad cop.

"Here's what's gonna happen..." said the candy-corn, slamming her hooves onto the table. "You're gonna tell us who you're working for."

"Pardon my horse." Obi-Wan said more gently. "We know that you must know where Lady Morpha is hiding."

"I am afraid I do not possess that knowledge." Dooku said.

"Don't play dumb with us, Dooku!" Peppermint said, snorting in Dooku's face. "We have ways of making you talk."

Dooku sat calmly as though he were in meditation.

"It will go a lot easier for all of us if you just tell us where Darth Sidious is." Obi-Wan said.

"Foolish, Kenobi. You believe I will just tell you such information."

"Oh, I have a way to make you tell us." Peppermint said.

Dooku chuckled. "A sugar-coated horse is no match for a Sith Lord."

"Oh, I'll give you sugar-coated. I'm gonna treat you like a lollipop until you tell us what we want to know."

That just confused both the Jedi and the Sith... until Peppermint stuck out her tongue and licked Dooku roughly on the face. Dooku was disgusted by the saliva that got onto him.

"Hmm...many wonder how many licks it'll take to get to the center of a tootsie pop. I wonder how many licks it takes to get you to talk." Peppermint sneered.

Dooku started to actually feel intimidated by the horse as she licked her mouth and started licking him again. Obi-Wan wondered how long Peppermint could keep it up.

"I'll go see if Carmine can bring Lamenta here." Obi-Wan said, leaving the room while Peppermint kept licking.

"NO! Please don't leave me here!" Dooku begged, spitting in disgust as Peppermint kept licking him.

Meanwhile, on Naboo, everyone was fast asleep in their beds, including the two who could see dreams.

Pedro looked around and could see everyone's dream clouds, but was surprised to see Lamenta next to him. Ever since the first night in this new world, Pedro and Lamenta discovered whenever they slept within a certain distance, they both could see the same dreams at the same time.

"Looks like we're watching dreams together again." said Lamenta.

"I still haven't gotten used to that." Pedro said.

"Neither have I. But, we might as well ensure everyone sleeps peacefully..."

Lamenta paused as she saw one cloud was very dark and thundering. Uh oh. That could only mean one thing. Whenever someone's dream cloud was dark like that, it meant the dreamer was having a nightmare. The darker the cloud, the scarier the dream. And this one was thundering like crazy.

"That's Uncle Anakin's dream cloud!" Lamenta said. "He's having a horrible nightmare, I just know it!"

Lamenta flew over, but Pedro was too scared to go in.

"Lamenta, espera! Wait! We don't what's in there!" Pedro said.

"It's just a dream. It can't hurt us for real."

Lamenta entered her uncle's dream and looked around. She immediately became horrified by what she saw.

Padme was in pain, screaming for Anakin. There was the sound of a baby crying, screams of agony, and Anakin crying out in horror. And the scariest thing of all... Padme died in childbirth.

This was definitely a nightmare. And by now, Lamenta was ready to end it.

"Alright, nightmare. I'm about to be your worst nightmare."

Lamenta tried to cast the spell she would normally use to stop a nightmare... but something was wrong. Lamenta's spell went all whack and glitched, and she suddenly found she couldn't even control it, and she wasn't even dreaming she was casting spells this time! Then all of a sudden, her own spell backfired onto her!

Lamenta sat up in bed with a gasp and ran out of her room. She ran to her uncle's room and ran into her father.

"Daddy? What are you doing awake?" Lamenta asked.

"I should be asking you the same thing, but I assume it's about your uncle's dream?" Carmine said.

"How'd you know?"

"It's a twin thing."

The father and daughter entered the room as quietly and quickly as they could, and when they got in, Anakin was tossing and turning in his sleep, and a bunch of briars and other plants were growing in random spots.

"Anakin! Wake up!" Carmine said, shaking his brother's shoulder.

Anakin woke up with a shout as he quickly sat up. That woke Padme too.

Anakin breathed heavily as his niece climbed up and place her hand on his forehead, using a soothing brainwave spell she knew.

"It's okay, Uncle Anakin. It was just a bad dream." Lamenta said.

"Are you okay?" Carmine said.

Anakin shook his head. "No. It was horrible."

"Ani." Padme said. "What happened? You can tell me."

Anakin just got out of bed and put a robe on. He was very sweaty.

"Anakin, what's the matter?" Carmine said. "We can't help you if you don't tell us what's wrong."

"There's nothing to tell." Anakin lied, leaving the room.

"Anakin, I don't need Lamenta's power to know when something's wrong."

"You wouldn't understand."

"Anakin, we're family. If you can't talk to your family, who can you talk to?"

Anakin just went into the cabinet looking for a snack. He found some chocolate cookies, but Carmine snatched them.

"Anakin, you are not gonna resort to stress eating." Carmine scolded. With their father sleeping, Carmine had to play the parent. "Tell me what's wrong."

That was when tears fell from Anakin's eyes.

"Anakin... what happened in your dream?"

Anakin shut his eyes tightly. The last time he'd had a nightmare like this... his mother died. He never told Carmine that he'd dreamed about her dying, or how the Jedi basically told him his dreams were only because of his 'dangerous attachments' to his mother. But, Anakin knew his dreams were telling him something different.

Sadly, he couldn't save her in time, and he'd blamed himself for not being able to save the people he loved.

"Padme died in childbirth." Anakin whimpered.

"What?" Carmine said, concerned. And Anakin repeated it. However, that was also when Padme and Lamenta arrived.

"This isn't the first time I've had a nightmare like this." Anakin confessed.

Everyone had Anakin sit down, and he explained to his brother the nightmares he had of their mother being tortured, and how under the old Jedi Code, he was told to ignore those dreams and basically forget about the ones he loved, saying they were dangerous like they'd said he was the moment Qui-Gon first brought him to the Temple without even getting to know him.

Anakin broke down in tears as he thought back to the day his mother died in his arms. His wife, brother, and niece all gave him a big hug. Pedro joined in too.

"Ani..." Padme grew curious. "What about the baby?"

"I... I don't know." Anakin said. "But even if the baby did survive, how would I be able to live without you? I'd be left alone with three kids to raise on my own, and I don't know if I could take that kind of pressure."

"Anakin, Padme is a strong woman." Carmine said. "Believe it or not, I had nightmares when Caroline was expecting Lamenta."

"Did you have nightmares of her dying in childbirth?"

"No. But sometimes... I did have dreams of Dad talking to me. I could hear his voice and see my thoughts of what could have been if we'd stayed together. And I realized impending fatherhood is a scary thing."

"That's right, Ani." said Padme. "You said so yourself, you couldn't be there when I was pregnant with Gabriella. And now you have the chance to raise another baby without keeping it secret that you're the father."

"We're all going through a lot of changes right now." said Carmine. "It's stressful for all of us. And dreams are a reflection of those feelings."

"But... this dream felt more real than most nightmares." Anakin said. "Lamenta, you saw my dream. Did you see anything I might've missed?"

Lamenta shook her head. "Pedro was too scared to look. And when I looked in your dream... it was really weird. All of it looked like a bunch of blurs and I tried to stop it so I could change it to a happy dream, but something was blocking me from doing it."

"Has that ever happened before?"

"No."

That raised some concern in Carmine and the others. But, they didn't want to wake Bruno for a vision.

"We should try to get back to bed." Padme said.

Carmine warmed up some milk for Anakin, hoping it would help him sleep. And some for Lamenta and Pedro too. Carmine got the children back to bed, and Padme stayed right beside her husband and held him in her arms as she sang her lullaby to him until he fell back asleep.

Anakin held his wife close as he fell asleep again, and he felt much more relaxed, the warm milk adding an extra boost of sleepiness for him. And his nightmares seemed to leave him alone for the remainder of the night.
