It took a lot of work for weeks, but the potion was ready, and so was the new mirror.

Luckily, Gabby remembered Memoria's spell to access people's memories so Mila could sketch an exact picture of Mirabel's mirror. And, Master Qui-Gon had plenty of experience with woodworking, so they managed to build the frame of the mirror, which Mirabel and her sisters painted while Mila and her parents worked on piecing the glass together with some sand, and Gabby striking it with lightning.

All that was left to do, was to say a special spell.

To another world, bring a steady path

Open paths between,

A new gateway we shall have

Gabby repeated this spell numerous times and had the Madrigals touch the mirror to strengthen the connection to their world. And the mirror glowed as the spell took effect.

The Madrigals prayed desperately that this spell would work. Isabela, Luisa, and Mirabel had to get back to their parents, Antonio and Camilo missed their sister and their parents, and Bruno's family wanted to be back with their whole family more than anything. If this spell didn't work, none of them knew if they would ever be able to get used to this other world.

The others weren't as adaptable as Mila. Even with her there to teach them how the technology worked and the others, it would be very difficult for them to find jobs with them not even being from that universe.

The mirror eventually stopped glowing.

"Did it work?" Mirabel asked, sounding afraid.

"Only one way to find out." Gabby said, approaching the mirror. "Who wants to test it out with me?"

"I'll go." Bruno said, stepping up and picking up the child.

But, for safe measure, Isabela grew some strong vines and wrapped them around Bruno.

"One tug to pull you back, two that it's safe, okay?" Isa said.

"Got it. On three."

Gabby counted to three, and on three, Bruno stepped through the mirror. And they quickly found themselves in Mirabel's room.

Bruno set Gabby down and looked out the door to see they were back in the Casita, everyone's rooms intact.

"It worked!" Bruno exclaimed.

Gabby and Bruno then went back through the mirror to tell the others the news.

"It worked! We can go home." Bruno said.

The other Madrigals were ecstatic to hear that news.

Qui-Gon picked up his granddaughter and smiled.

"You really are a gifted spell caster." He commented, kissing Gabby's cheek.

Mila was happy she could go home, but then she thought about Tech. She had no clue if she would be able to see him again.

But, Qui-Gon told the Madrigals not to worry.

"From what I see, the mirror works both ways." He said. "And you can come back and visit us anytime."

"Yeah." Gabby smiled. "I have a feeling Tech will wanna see Mila again really soon."

"He'll need more than a vision to know if he'll ever get close to my Milagro."

"Papa!" Mila groaned. "I might not be able to see the future, but I can theorize that the more you act like this, the less I'll listen to you. Restraint makes rebels."

"She is right about that." Qui-Gon chuckled. "From what Obi-Wan has told me, Anakin was not easy to raise under the old Jedi Code."

"Mila just better not go and marry anyone behind our backs." Bruno warned.

"Bruno, you know Milagro is smarter than that." Alicia said. "You're starting to sound like my brothers when we first got together."

"Don't judge him before you've actually met him." Gabby advised.

"Yeah. Besides, we only had one date. We're not rushing into things." Mila said. "And we haven't even kissed, so you can relax, Papa." Then she looked at Gabby. "But if you see him, could you tell him I miss him?"

"Of course. And by the way he looks at you, I'm sure he'd travel across many worlds to see you again."

Mila smiled at that. She sincerely hoped she'd see her love again and that the purple hair tie she gave him helped him remember her by.

It actually felt hard to say goodbye, but with those new mirrors, they would able to see each other again.

"Just try not to break it again." Gabby said.

And before they left, Gabby gave them something else. A blank book. According to her, it was a special one they could write messages in, and it would appear in another book, so they could send a message from anywhere at any time.

"Hey, thank you." Isabela said. "For looking after our family. And rescuing my cousin."

"We can't thank you enough for everything you've done for all of us." Alicia smiled.

"Hey. Sometime, come visit our world?" Bruno asked.

"Of course." Gabby said, laughing as Chika licked her. "Come visit us soon too."

And with that said, the Madrigals took turns walking through the mirror, arriving back in the Casita.

The Madrigals found themselves back in Mirabel's room, and exited to see they were back home.

"Mama?" Mirabel called. "Anyone?"

Suddenly, Mila smelled something.

"Is something burning?" she said, concerned.

"Mama? Papa? Dolores?" Camilo called.

The family heard a squeak, and then Camilo found himself wrapped in a hug.

"Hermanitos." Dolores gasped as she hugged her brothers.

Julieta soon left the kitchen and was ecstatic to see that the rest of the family was back home safe and sound. She and Pepa both hugged their brother tightly and gave their kids lots of hugs and kisses. And a rainbow appeared as Pepa was so happy they were all safe. Of course, they were especially happy to see that Rosella was safe.

"You wouldn't believe the things we saw in this other world." Mila said. "We met a royal family, there were talking horses and these people with special powers called Jedi. And their technology is amazingly advanced!"

"Mila also has a boyfriend." Camilo teased.

"Oh, Mila." Julieta said. "Who is he?"

"Why don't we tell you what other things we saw first?" Mila suggested.

Of course, everyone in town was glad to hear the Madrigals were back, and the neighborhood kids wanted Mirabel to tell them where they were. And together, Mirabel and Mila told them their story about their adventure meeting the Jedi. Mila even sketched pictures for visual aids and showed everyone a few items she brought back as souvenirs, including a marigold Tech gave her that she'd pressed into her journal to make it last.

"Are you gonna marry him?" A little girl asked, making Mila freeze.

"We only had one date." Mila said, her cheeks turning red. "It's too early to even think about that."

Mirabel laughed, and so did Mila's siblings.

Mila just rolled her eyes.

"Camilo is rubbing off on you a little too much."
