"Do you ever take that thing off?" Maureen asked the professor as she stretched her legs out.

It had been a shitty day out today, rainy and miserable. The picnic in the park idea had been moved inside the loft due to lack of dry grass outside. Collins sat with his legs stretched out in front of him, his arms propped up behind him. Angel leaned against her lover, her head resting on his chest. Mimi had situated herself into Roger's folded lap as he sat Indian style next to the anarchist. She leaned her head back on his shoulder as he whispered sweet nothings in her ear. Mark sat in between the guitarist and his girlfriend, his arm wrapped loosely around her waist. Maureen shook her head, brushing her dark hair off of her shoulders as she leaned into Mark. The three couples were circled around a red and white checkered tablecloth filled with empty paper plates and blue plastic cups.

"Take what off?" Collins asked, leaning his head on top of Angel's.

"That," she said, pointing to his head. "Your black beanie thing."

Collins reached up and placed his hand on top of his head, feeling the crocheted black skullcap. He looked over at Maureen and shrugged.

"Well, I don't shower with it on," he told her.

"But other than that?" she asked.

"No, I guess I don't," he replied, grinning at her random question. "Why do you ask?"

"Well, I've just never seen you without it so I guess I was just wondering," she replied. "So do you sleep in it?"

Mimi giggled at Maureen's string of questions. Roger looked over at her and shook his head. Collins frowned, trying to think.

"Sometimes," he replied.

"Angel, have you ever seen Collins without the hat on?" Maureen asked.

Mark leaned into Maureen's neck, giggling as well. "You have so many questions," he said before kissing her.

"Yeah, I have," Angel replied.

"When?"

"That's for Angel to know, and you to never find out," Collins answered, laughing.
