Safely placed on the Marauder, Boba and Omega sat safely sat on the Marauder as Boba explained to his sister the powers each biological member of the family had.

"So, your little sister has the most powers?"

"So far, yes. They say she's a rare kind of Enchanted called a Developer because she tends to develop new powers, and she got them a lot earlier than most Enchanteds do. She got her powers when she was only one, maybe two. Lamenta got hers when she was three. You see, most get their powers when they're five. Grandpa got his when he was six, and Uncle Carmine got his at age five. Dad... he didn't even know he was an Enchanted, so it's hard to say when he really got them."

"What are your parents like?" Omega asked.

"Well, what do you wanna know?"

Omega had so many questions about what the Skywalkers did, what kind of adventures they took, and what they were like... well, as people.

"Where to begin?" Boba wondered out loud. "My birth father, he was strict sometimes, but he was still a loving father. My adoptive dad, he's made it his job to fill that spot as best he could since he adopted me. We had a rocky start, but he was willing to give me a chance when no other grownups would. Dad... he's fearless, rarely loses a battle. But what really makes him stand out is his big heart. It's clear Gabby inherited that trait from both him and Mom."

"What's she like?"

"Well... I never knew what it was like to have a mom, but I always wanted one. And then I met Padme Amidala. She's everything I always wanted in a mom and more. She's beautiful inside and out. She's as beautiful as she is fierce. You don't wanna mess with her. Anyone messes with any of their kids, Mom and Dad go what my sister and I call Mama Bear and Papa Bear."

Boba then also showed Omega pictures and videos of the family's horses. Carousella, Crescent, Sapphire, and of course Remix.

"They were all given to us through a ceremony called the Ride of Love." Boba explained.

"They can really talk?" Omega said.

"Yup. I didn't edit them talking in the videos. Just wait till you meet them. Who knows, maybe you'll get a horse too."

"But I don't know how to ride or take care of one."

"I didn't either when I met Remix, but Gabby's an expert on horses. She and I could teach you. Plus, the horses themselves can just tell you what they need."

"Good point."

Boba spent a lot of time getting to know his biological sister. It turned out she was just as lost and curious about the outside world as he used to be. She'd never played with other kids, listened to a lot of music, had a birthday party, gone to a real school, or even seen dirt ground.

So, for a start, Boba showed Omega some music videos of Count Crescendo... until Tech said, "Can you please not blast loud music while I'm steering?"

"You'll love my family. And I just know they'll love you too. And Gabby would be delighted to have another sibling."

"What's your sister like?" Omega asked.

"She's sweet enough to give you cavities just looking at her. You should've seen how cute she was when I first met her. And now she's six and already grown so smart and powerful. There just doesn't seem to be anything she can't do."

After a while, the kids got bored, so they did a bit of cleaning on the ship, inspecting every corner of it with Wrecker.

Eventually, Wrecker and the twins were fast asleep, Boba cuddling his lion.

"Well," sighed Hunter. "This is a first."

"Inspecting every corner of the ship finally tired them out." Echo said.

"Yeah, they're curious, the little ones. I'll give 'em that."

"Hunter, they're children." Echo pointed out. "We didn't plan on having a second one. What are we going to do with her?"

"Did you let our operative know we had a second one?" Hunter asked.

"Wasn't sure they'd be willing to do it." Echo said.

"We are coming up on Saleucami." said Tech.

The ship soon landed and the kids were woken up.

"Ladies first." Boba said, letting Omega exit before him.

Omega looked outside curiously at the land. The sun was shining, bird were chirping, and there was so much natural life and fresh air.

Omega took a deep breath of the air and knelt onto the ground below, taking a bit of dirt in her hand.

"Whoa." she gasped. "What is this?"

"That would be dirt." said Tech.

"It's amazing."

"Just wait till you feel the grass." Boba said.

Omega laughed as she frolicked in the dirt for a little bit. Boba laughed too, and a few flowers grew in the ground as he was happy again.

Hunter looked and saw a storm moving in.

"Come on, let's get moving." said Hunter.

Boba and Omega held hands as they walked so neither got lost.

Omega looked so curiously at all the plants around her. It looked all so amazing to her. And when she saw a butterfly for the first time, she went chasing after it. Seeing that reminded Boba of Gabby. Since she was three, chasing butterflies together was just one thing they did together sometimes.

"So, this operative..." said Boba. "What's he doing all the way out here? Do I know him?"

"Probably not. He has been hiding here for years." Tech said. "That's what deserters do."

"'Deserter'?" Boba said, not knowing about a deserter.

"His name is Cut Lawquane." Hunter explained. "Rex discovered him a few years back with a family of his own. Staying off the radar is not our specialty, which is what you need to be doing now. He's been doing it for years."

"And you trust a deserter?" asked Echo.

"Why not?" Tech said. "He's the best option for keeping Boba safe at this point, as well as Omega."

"At least we know you can protect your kids someday." Echo teased.

Tech seemed to choke on air when Echo said that. "Back up, Echo. Mila and I only had one date. Now is hardly the time to think about leveling up in the relationship."

Hunter suddenly had the group stop as they came up to... a trip wire.

Omega and Boba looked down at the trip wire.

"What are we looking at?" Omega asked.

"A booby trap." Hunter and Boba said in unison.

"Jinx!" Boba said.

"Single trip wire." Wrecker chuckled, stepping over the wire. "That's cute."

But Wrecker didn't realize he'd stepped through a laser trip wire, and he was suddenly surrounded by battle droids, which he began shooting.

"Easy, Wrecker!" Hunter exclaimed, getting Wrecker to stop.

The droids weren't even on or functional.

"Was that me?" said Wrecker.

"What do you think?" said Boba.

That was when two figures entered the scene. A human male and a purple Twilek woman name Suu.

"What do we have here?" said the Twilek. "More clones who have lost their way."

"It's been a while, fellas." said Cut, the clone.

The Bad Batch and the twins were brought safely to the Lawquanes' home.

"I see a few new faces," said Suu.

"Echo, Boba, and Omega, Cut and Suu." Hunter introduced.

"Pleased to meet you."

"Likewise, Mrs. Lawquane." Boba said politely.

"Rex told us you'd be bringing a prince here for safekeeping." said Cut. "A child of the Jedi?"

"That would be me." Boba said.

"Aren't you-?"

"A clone. Yes. Unmodified though. Long story short, Dad died in the Battle of Geonosis, I got stuck with bounty hunters, then I got adopted. Now my family is depending on me to protect their magic because they transferred it to me since I'm the only kid without powers of my own."

Boba snapped his fingers, and some sparkles appeared to demonstrate.

"We weren't expecting you for a few days."

"Yeah, I might've lost control of my family's magic." Boba said.

"It was my fault." Omega said. "I... kinda started a food fight, then Boba got angry, and things got crazy."

"So, do you think the two of them can stay with you until you can pass them to whoever you're assigned to?" Crosshair asked.

"Of course." Cut said. "I was a soldier. Adapting is still something I know how to do."

Just then, two young Twileks ran in. Their names were Shaeeah and Jek.

"Mom! Dad!" Jek exclaimed. "There's a ship and horses outside!"

"Shaeeah, Jek! Remember me?" Wrecker smiled, ready for a hug.

"Uncle Wrecker!" The twileks exclaimed.

Wrecker held up Shaeeah in delight and set her down. That was when Shaeeah noticed the twins.

"Who are you?" asked Shaeeah.

"Omega." said Omega.

"And I'm Boba." Boba introduced.

"We never see kids around here." said Shaeeah. "Come with us."

"You said there were horses outside? What did they look like?" Boba asked.

"I think they both had wings." Jek said. "One was pink, and the other was purple."

"Was the purple one light purple with a darker purple mane?"

"Yeah, why?"

"That sounds like a horse I know."

"Let's go see them." Shaeeah said.

Omega and Boba looked at Hunter as though asking permission. And Hunter nodded with a smiled, so the kids went outside.

The kids didn't see any horses, so they just started playing a game of Catch with a ball the Lawquane kids had, while some little farm animals were playing too. Flowers started to grow as Boba started having fun.

"Mm... what's the purpose of this?" Omega asked.

"To have fun." said Shaeeah. "Here, you try."

Shaeeah threw the ball in Omega's direction, but she missed.

"You're supposed to catch it." said Jek.

"Give her a break." said Boba. "This is literally her first time off Kamino and interacting with other kids who aren't clones. Let's just go find the ball."

Hunter watched the kids as they were playing, when Cut came out to talk to him.

"All right, out with it." said Cut. "What's with the girl?"

"She's a defective clone, like we are." said Hunter.

"Mmm... Not exactly."

"What do you mean?"

"The Kaminoans don't create without a purpose. You all have one, so what's hers?"

"It doesn't matter. She's just a kid."

"Mm. Battling droids was easy compared to raising a child, much less two." Cut chuckled. "You have no idea what you're in for."

"I went on a mission with two six-year-old girls, a family of people from a different universe, and had to deal with a child with literally a dozen powers he has no experience using himself."

Cut was silent at that.

"Yeah, I can't believe I said all that either." Hunter said. "Either way, we didn't have a choice. Kamino wasn't safe for either of them. And Boba has a family who can take care of Omega once it's safe to return Boba home."

"Well, neither will Saleucami after a few days." Cut said. "Rex warned us about Lady Morpha. I've already received instructions of where to bring Boba to take him somewhere else. I've already booked a transport to take us off-world in a few days."

Meanwhile, Crescent and Estrella flew through the air, looking for Boba.

"Do you see the boy you're looking for?" Estrella asked Crescent.

"Not yet." said Crescent. "But my horseshoes brought us here, so he can't be far."

That was when Crescent spotted the farmhouse and the kids playing as a wild animal was heading their way.

"There! I think I see him!" Crescent said.

"Uh oh!" Estrella said. There's something in the woods!"

Crescent saw it and knew they had to get to the kids now.

The kids kept playing until Shaeeah threw the toy really hard, out past the fence. Then, Omega went to get it.

"Got it!" Omega called, not knowing what was behind her.

"Omega, don't move!" Shaeeah called.

Except, Omega looked behind her and became scared.

Boba slowly moved forward and got ready to use magic to protect his sister.

Shaeeah rushed inside to get her parents.

"Mom, it's Omega! She went out past the fence!"

The adults immediately rushed outside, Omega was still frozen, and Boba looked ready to fight. That was when something swooped in and attacked the creature.

"Crescent!" Boba exclaimed happily.

Crescent used his strength to tackle the creature and wrestle it to the ground, while Estrella got in front of Omega and created a protective bubble around her.

"It's okay, mija." Estrella said. "You're safe with me."

Crescent continued to weaken and kick the creature, and got out of the way so the adults could shoot the beast.

They fired and fired until the beast finally cowered and ran off, and even more when Boba made a bunch of cacti poke it along the way.

"Yeah, you'd better run away!" Boba shouted at the creature. "No one messes with my sister and gets away with it!"

"What were you doing out there?" Hunter said angrily at Omega. "Do you realize you could've been killed?"

Cut put a hand on Hunter's shoulder and said, "Easy. She's not a soldier."

Cut knelt down to Omega. "Are you hurt? Now, let's take a look here."

Omega looked so scared. "I'm sorry. I was trying to get the ball. I didn't know."

Cut gently brought Omega into a hug. Boba immediately joined in to comfort his sister. Estrella also sniffed Omega's hair and gently nuzzled her head in an effort to comfort her.

"Pobresita." said Estrella.

"You're safe." Cut soothed. "That's all that matters. Come on."

Cut carried Omega inside, reassuring the others Omega would be fine. Before following, Boba approached Crescent.

"Crescent, what are you doing here?" said Boba. "Is it safe to go home already?"

Crescent shook his head. "No. Lady Morpha got to your family, just like in Bruno's vision. Your mom and Caroline are fine though. They're safe on Escuela. But Carousella and Remix were captured too."

"Oh no!" Boba panicked. "What do we do?"

"Well, we've gotten a bit more info on how to defeat her, but we have to get you to safety quickly. Lady Morpha knows you have the magic. Luckily, though, she doesn't know where you are. I don't have magic for her to steal, but my horseshoes can get us anywhere. I gave Estrella, that mare I came with, an extra pair too."

Omega was checked out by the Lawquanes. She was pretty shaken up. But, otherwise okay.

Later that night, while the twins were put to bed, the Bad Batch took off.

But, Boba couldn't sleep.

Instead, he grabbed Fuzzy and sat outside, looking at the stars above. They reminded Boba of his family.

Looking at the stars and trying to count all of them was one of the first things Boba and Gabby found they liked to do together, and Lamenta loved stars so much and making wishes on them. And she had a lot she taught Boba about constellations and navigation by them.

Boba recalled a time when Lamenta told him about legendary shooting stars granting wishes to those lucky enough to see one. He couldn't see any shooting stars tonight, but he did see some brightly shining ones, so those would have to do.

"I wish, I wish the war would end so my family could be together again." Boba whispered to himself.

"You really miss them, don't you?" Omega said, coming outside, startling Boba.

"You couldn't sleep either?"

Omega shook her head, and she sat beside Boba.

"You know... I was wondering... that song you sang before? Where'd you learn it?"

"Well, it's a lullaby my mom sings sometimes. My dad and Grandpa have special ones too. But, Mom's usually calms me down the best. I guess 'cause I never had a mom before I met her."

"Will you sing it for me?"

"If you want me too."

Omega nodded.

So, Boba sang the lullaby for Omega.

Sun goes down and we are here together,

Fireflies glow like a thousand charms

Stay with me and you can dream forever

Right here in my arms tonight.

Sounds of day fade away

Stars begin to climb

Melodies fill the breeze

Sweeter all the time.

This time, Omega started to sing it with Boba, and they sounded great together.

Sun goes down, and we are here together

Fireflies glow like a thousand charms

Stay with me and you can dream forever

Right here in my arms tonight.

The twins shared a big hug, feeling a special kind of bond they felt like they'd never realized they were missing until now.
