Reply to reviews: (chapter 10)

Boris Yeltsin: Thanks for the review! Yes, Russell is, for sure, going to answer for what he has done. Slowly but surely, in a couple of weeks or so (in the story, time wise), others will begin to find out about everything, starting with Rachel's parents in chapter 15, I think? Once they know, the Britt and San's parents will find out also, and it will snowball from there.

cxe128: Thank you for your review! I am glad everything makes sense now. And to be honest, I definitely cried while writing not only the last chapter, but the next several ones. This one and the next chapter, in particular, I went through a whole range of emotions. Whenever I write, I go through the whole rainbow of the feelings I am trying to portray with the actual words (anger, sadness, etc.). Anyway, thanks again for your review, and I hope you enjoy this chapter. :)

GLEE111: Thanks for the review. :) I am not sure what is going on, but somehow you have managed to review twice on chapter 1. I think it's a glitch that makes your reviews default back to chapter 1. Anyway, it will be a while before we get to the Noah/Quinn romance. Right now, she is still with Finn, plus with what she just revealed, and what is going to happen in the following chapters... Two chapters from now is when we will get to Ballard, so after that is when Q and Finn will end their relationship, and we will slowly start towards a Quick relationship. :)

Welcome to my new followers and favoriter Packer82, Claire54362, Bodge, and nae1213 (favoriter).

Notes: In honor of getting 50 (actually 51) followers, which is over halfway to 100, here is chapter 11. Thank you SO MUCH for the support, for reviewing, following, and favoriting so far. This is absolutely an amazing response to something I did not think was going to be so popular. I am excited to get it really going, and to get our girls the happiness they all deserve. :)

Notes 2: first half of this is sort of fluff, with some new characters. Then the second half has Rachel discussing what Quinn told her with the three girls.

Also, shoutout to chloe2007. This has some Faberry friendship in it, I had fun writing their interactions in this chapter because Quinn is mostly silent so Rachel is speaking to or responding to her to just simple from knowing how to, without Quinn having to say much.

Enjoy! :)

*6:30 p.m.*

It's over an hour later when the doorbell rings. Rachel goes to answer, and is unable to contain her shock, and worry, when it's five people she never expected.

She can see various emotions on their faces. Santana is worried, Brittany looks… broken, which is an expression Rachel decides right then and there that she never wants to see on the taller blonde ever again.

The younger three of the group, Brittany's sisters, 6-year-old Alexis, and two little girls about 3 years old, are happy, eager, to see her.

"Auntie Rach!" Lexie shouts, throwing her arms around Rachel's waist. She can't believe this is Alexis. 2-year-old Lexie Pierce, who would be… 6 now, probably in the first fucking grade. Reading, writing, being grownup.

She really has missed a lot during those 4 years.

The Diva recovers first and smiles down at the younger girl.

"Hi, Lex! Gosh, look at you! You've grown so much! And…," She pauses here because God, Brittany only had one sister the last time Rachel knew anything of her home life.

She decides first thing's first, they need to come inside out of the chilly night air.

"Come in," She says, ushering them inside. "Um… Luce is in the kitchen." Rachel whispers this to Santana and Britt. "We talked and… she's been quiet ever since, hasn't said much."

Santana nods and then, she surprises Rachel by pulling her into a tight hug. She can feel how tense San is and doesn't have to even wonder to understand that Santana is trying so hard to not break down because she knows that is she does, then it'll be only a matter of seconds before Brittany breaks down.

And that is not something any of them need right now. Not when they three little kids with them.

"So… she told you?" She murmurs to only Rach.

"Yes," Rachel nods. "And… we should… discuss it, but not now, when we have three pairs of little ears who not need to hear it."

Santana releases her and Rachel watches as she heads to the kitchen, and she revels in the feeling of seeing her walk down the hallway like she knows exactly which room is what.

She's really missed that.

Turning back to Brittany, Rachel smiles, trying to ease the anxiety she knows Britt is feeling.

"Hey, Love, it's ok, I promise." And Brittany relaxes if only just a tiny bit. "Now," She decides to change the subject because she really is curious…

"I know Miss Lexie here," Tapping the 6-year-old on the nose, she gets a giggle out of her. "But, I do not believe I have met these two gorgeous little girls here."

And just like that, the ice is broken and the smile on Brittany's face becomes genuine.

"Hi!" One of the smaller girls says. "My name is Amara Gwace Pierce! And dis is my twin sisser, Madalyn Faye Pierce. We are free years old!"

Smiling at this adorable little girl, Rachel says, "Well, Amara Grace and Madalyn Faye, it is so good to meet you."

"Britt, why don't you take the girls down to the basement and show them the movies and everything I have down there?"

"Oh, do you have any Scooby-Doo movies?" Alexis asks.

"Well, of course, I do!" Rachel exclaims back with the same amount of enthusiasm, and all three little girls cheer. "Do you remember how to get to the basement, Lex?"

"Yeah! Come on, Sissy B; I wanna go watch Scooby-Doo!" Lexie takes off, and the twins and Brittany follow her through the living room to the basement steps.

Rachel sighs deeply as she watches them go. And then, she heads to the kitchen herself.

She finds Quinn and Santana in there, the former with a laptop, – she suspects it belongs to her daddy, – open and looking at something, while San is sitting on the counter eating from a bag of Doritos.

"Hey, you two." She greets, going over to Quinn first. She gets a nod in reply from Santana and Quinn just smiles. "What are you doing?"

She rounds the counter and sees Quinn has a page open on the internet and is looking at different recipes for fruit and/or vegetable smoothies.

Rachel glances over the list for moment before saying, "We should have some of these," And then she opens the fridge to make sure that statement is true. She finds various vegetables and some fruits, and then looks to the basket on the table and sees apples, grapes, bananas, and oranges.

"You want me to make you one, Angel?" She asks Quinn to which the blonde nods. "Alright, pick some out and I will find the blender."

While she is doing that, Rachel turns to Santana.

"San, will you go to the basement and ask Britt and her sisters if they want a smoothie, or even a milkshake, I think Dad has some ice cream in the freezer if they prefer that."

Santana nods, and then she leaves the kitchen, heading towards the sounds of her best friend's laughter mixed in with that unmistakable sound of little kid giggles.

It is closer to seven in the evening when everything is finished, and everyone has a cup to drink – Amara and Lexie got milkshakes with Britt while everyone else had smoothies.

Brittany's mom, Jennifer, shows up to pick up Lexie, Maddie, and Amara. She talks with Josiah and David, who then informs Rachel that Britt, San, and Quinn are spending the night.

Rachel's Dad, David, seems unhappy with that idea but Josiah must have an understanding about the three girls that none of them is privy to just yet, and just assures Jennifer that it is ok and then gives Amara, Maddie, and Lexie a hug goodbye.

"Bye-bye, Uncle 'Siah!" Lexie chirps. She doesn't know any different, because when her sister was best friends with Rachel, she used to come here all the time and took to calling Rachel's dads "Uncle 'Siah" and "Uncle David".

"Goodbye, sweetie." Josiah calls back as he closes the door.

The four girls go upstairs with their smoothies and they all pile onto Rachel's bed and for just a moment, Rachel is struck by how easy and simple and… and normal seeing the Unholy Trinity in her bedroom is.

It's so normal that she can almost forget the whole reason that Quinn, and in turn, San and Britt, are at her house on a Friday night in the first place.

She swallows roughly and takes her place beside Quinn on the bed. Leaning against the headboard, Quinn rests her head on the shorter girl's shoulder.

And Rachel waits, knowing that at least one of the other three has something to say.

Although, when it is clear neither of them is going to anything, however, Rachel sighs and… and she asks the question that she needs to know the answer to.

"Would you have told me, if I did not give Quinn the letter two months ago?"

She sees Quinn snap her head up at that, but to her surprise, it's Brittany who answers.

"Yes." And she says it with such conviction that Rachel believes her. "Yes, we… I would have. I hate this, Rach," She whispers. "It isn't right. No one should treat their child the one Q's father treats her – the way he treats us. It might fly in foster care, – and believe me, I would know,"

She chuckles darkly unable to forget the one year she spent in foster care throughout the fourth-grade, before being adopted in fifth by Jennifer and her husband Michael.

Santana places a hand over Britt's to calm her, or maybe to calm herself, because she was friends with Britt during this time, and she hates the way Brittany's foster parents would treat her less-than just because she wasn't… because she was not related to them by blood.

"But that is not how you should ever treat your biological child."

No one has anything to say to that.

So, with that in mind, Rachel asks her next question, "What happens now?"

And she wonders if the other three knows it is meant in more than one way – what happens at school now? What happens tomorrow when Quinn has to go home? What happens on Monday when Russell wants his daily report of their bullying? And, what happens if he finds out exactly what Rachel has been told this afternoon?

"Nothing," it's Santana's immediate reply. "We can't do anything. Okay? Look," She suspects at least two of the three people are about to interrupt her, so she rushes to get her point made. "We need to discuss this more. It's more than just, oh, well, Russell was mean to us and made her say or do those things. And–"

"You think I don't know that?" Rachel snaps. "Of course it's more than that, Santana! This is far more than-than… this is an adult using his position of being older and a person of authority to force you three into doing these things. This is… this stuff needs to be reported and…"

Something dawns on her then.

"Eighth grade," She says suddenly. She snaps her to her right and is met with Quinn's wide-eyed expression. "You came to school in a long-sleeve shirt, the day after you were… you did something to me…," Her voice becomes barely a whisper.

"San and Britt," She looks between the three, unable to keep her eyes off Quinn and her heart sinks as she realizes…

"He didn't something to you, didn't he?" She hears Brittany let out a sob but… she can't take her eyes off Quinn. "You got… You were hurt because they refused to be a part of what you did, didn't you?"

The tears in her best friend's eyes are enough of an answer.

"Lucy…," She breathes, "You… You need to tell someone, – someone who is not me, – and we need to do something about this! We should tell my Dads and–" She goes to get off the bed but is jerked back. Turning she sees Quinn with distress written all over her face.

"Rach, please. You cannot tell anyone. Okay? Not your Dads, no one."

"Lucy, this is not ok! This is… he hurt you because they!" She swings her arm in Santana and Brittany direction. "Refused to be a part of the your bullying! That is not ok, Quinn! That is so much more than your mother and father being homophobic and not wanting you to hang out with me because I have two dads. And… something needs to be said about it!"

"Rachel," Even now, in the midst of her stubbornness, Rachel can see the clear panic on Quinn's face. "Please, we just need more time, okay? Just a little more."

"Quinn–"

"Please, Star," Quinn tugs on the fistful of Rachel's shirt she is gripping and Rachel falters because if there's a time she could never bring herself to push on, it's when Quinn looks her like that. Like her life depends on Rachel dropping this subject.

She sighs, "I–" and chances a look away from Quinn, to San and Britt, who are worse off than Quinn is, with Brittany buried in Santana's arms, sobbing, and Santana looking like she is barely has a grip on her own emotions.

The adrenaline leaves her body, and she deflates, all fight gone, leaving her feeling exhausted and…

"Okay. I'll drop it. For now."

As Quinn falls into her arms, finally letting everything crash down on her as she breaks, Rachel meets Santana's eyes and, she wonders how a person could do, or make their child, do the things that Quinn, Santana, and Brittany have been made to do.

Well…this was a lot more than what I was planning but yeah. We are getting close to them telling someone about what Russell has done. The next chapter is going to be short, and will have Rachel's thoughts on everything. Then…

Something biiiig happens. It will be the episode of Ballard and that is the chapter that will be probably 4 or more parts.

Two more chapters!

Please review and let me know what you thought! :)

Let's see... you guys responded on the last chapter exactly how I had hoped you did. Like, I could not have asked for you all to react better than what you did. Ballard is when David and Josiah will find out. Around chapter 14, 15, I think. Thank you again to everyone who reviewed! And to everyone who helped me get to FIFTY-ONE followers. That is amazing, and I just cannot thank you all enough. :D
