Disclaimers: I do not own Glee or its characters.
Spoilers: None
Rating: T for lots and lots of cussing, like, wow. Rachel's fathers would not be happy to hear her saying the F-bomb so many times.

Reply to reviews: (chapter 11)

GLEE111: Thank you the review! Britt is the only one who is adopted (she was adopted at age 10). The other little girls, Alexis (6), and Amara and Maddie (3) are biologically Jennifer and Michael's.

Boris Yeltsin: Thanks for the review. The deal with Judy is a very fine line between whether she is innocent or not. There are questions such as, did she even know of the abuse? Or did she just pretend that nothing bad was happening, therefore allowing him to abuse Quinn, and by extension, Santana and Britt. Also, Sue is going to so PISSED. I am really excited to write my version of her.

chloe2007: Emma and Will are going to make an appearance in chapter... 19 (I think). Rachel, San, and B will go to school, and tell Emma, Sue, and Will about everything that has happened, as they will need their help during specific moments at school (and they, especially Quinn do see Will as a father figure, given that he has been... more involved since finding out what Terri was doing). :)

Welcome to my new followers - Vixen4018 and Snowy21 (favoriter). And my new favoriter, Linnea Anderson.

Notes: This is all over the place, and I am sorry. I wrote it as Rachel's thoughts on everything, and it turned out to be more jumping from point A to point E to point B than I wanted. Also, I know Rachel's middle name is not Leann, but I've had that as her middle name for years, so I'm keeping it that way.

Notes: This was a fun one to write. It will have interaction between Santana and Rachel, if you could call it that. I do want to warn one time that this has a TON of cussing. I hope Rachel is not too OCC, but I feel like, given the circumstances, this is not that far out there.

One last thing... things start to pick up! This has a timeskip, and the end of chapter 13 is when EVERYTHING starts to SNOWBALL and, well... kind of goes to hell. Prepare yourselves!

Enjoy! :)

Rachel's thoughts on the chapter…

3 fucking weeks.

Rachel thought her world had been turned upside down three months ago when the Unholy Trinity started speaking to her during lunch?

She had no idea. No fucking clue about what was to come.

She found it out, though. She finally was given a reason to the three girls' bullying towards her since the sixth grade.

It was nothing like she'd imagine.

Who knew Russell Fabray was so homophobic, so controlling and egotistical, that he would force his daughter and two of her friends to bully Rachel relentlessly… just because she has two dads?

Rachel wanted to tell her dads right away, but of course, Santana and Brittany and Quinn talked her out of that. She can understand now, why they were so scared during lunch, why they were only seeing her at 10, 15 minutes at a time.

She can't believe she never saw something like this coming.

I mean, and she scoffs at this, because way back, when Russell first found out just who Rachel was (Rachel Berry, the kid with two dads), and he forbid her from seeing Rachel, it was Abigale who stepped up and told him he was to let Quinn see Rachel or… something would happen.

And she is not sure right now, just as she was unsure back then, what Abigale would have had against their father, but it must have been something… big… because Russell was suddenly letting Quinn see her, play with her, spend the night with her.

And so, that is why, she should have known.

She has known Lucy Quinn Fabray since they were five years old. Back then, when she (Quinn) was a painfully shy little girl, a new kid to Lima, and to Miss Holly's kindergarten class, they played together every day at recess, they had sleepovers and went swimming together, and they made memories that Rachel will cherish for the rest of her life, and…

She was the person who Quinn would speak to in class. When she was so shy that she would not speak to any other student, not even Noah, or their teacher Miss Holly, or any teacher in their Special Classes.

It was Rachel, who she spoke to.

It's always been Rachel.

Quinn had no explanation for it, for that calm she felt the first time she laid eyes on the self-proclaimed Diva, Rachel Leann Berry, when she was new to school, and Miss Holly was introducing her to the kids and telling them to come to the carpet so they could each tell Quinn their names…

She was shy and she was scared to be at a new school, all alone with her big sisters all the way at the high school and college, and she couldn't tell her mom and daddy, because as daddy always said, "being scared is weak, and Fabrays are not weak".

So she couldn't say she had more nerves than a 5-year-old should have had at that moment. Rachel has always been Quinn's rock. Through many times in her life – losing Becca, then Abby, and many things in between.

They have been through more than your average 15-year-olds. And Rachel wonders when she stopped being able to read Quinn. Was it truly that moment that the girls started turning on her the summer between fifth and sixth grade? Or was it before?

When did she become a person who would believe anything bad that came out of Quinn, Brittany, or Santana's mouths?

God, she should have seen this coming. She should have known.

Russell has always been the reason for Quinn's acting out, no that isn't right. She was never 'acting out' but for every bad thing that has happened, Abby's death notwithstanding, Russell has been at the heart of the problem, there at every 'so that's why it happened'.

These past 3 weeks have been crazy in many ways, and Rachel has no idea what to fucking do about it all. Quinn still refuses to tell anyone about anything that she told Rachel, and of course, Brittany and Santana back her up 100%.

She wishes she could just tell someone herself. She wishes she possesses the ability to say 'fuck it' to the girls and just tell her dads, but she won't do that because… well because she just cannot do that to Quinn, or Santana or Britt.

She's been loyal to them since the day she met them, but that doesn't stop her from wishing they could understand the magnitude of the things that Quinn told her. The magnitude of how serious it is that Russell is not only homophobic, but abusive, as well.

She has always known that her best friend's father was emotionally abusive. At six, when Rachel's daddy was teaching the girls how to ride a bike with no training wheels, Quinn fell off and scraped her knee, and Rachel knew she wanted to cry, but…

It chilled her to the bone to hear 6-year-old Quinn Fabray utter the words, "Daddy says crying is weak, and Fabrays are not weak," when Josiah said it was ok to cry, because he had seen it too, the tears in her eyes that she just wouldn't let fall.

She listened in on her Daddy and Dad's conversations later that evening, and she found out that was something a father should never say to his child.

She heard the words "emotional abuse" not long after, and looked it up on the computer during their Special Class of Computer Lab.

Rachel thought that maybe Quinn's daddy could fit the definition of it.

And now. God, now that she knows everything.

She realizes it wasn't just emotional abuse, but…

…but physical abuse, as well.

No child should come to school in 80° weather in a long-sleeve shirt because they had to hide the bruises on their arms from the "punishment" her dad gave her because of… because her friends decided not to participate in bullying their other, long ago, best friend.

To make matters worse, it's been three weeks since Quinn has spoken to anyone. She does this anytime something big happens in her life – like the car accident or Becca being kicked out.

She had "quiet days" where she did not speak. The very first time was when Rebecca was kicked out of the house at 18 years old, her senior year of high school, for coming out as gay to her parents. Rachel and Quinn were in first grade, and Abby was in her second year of college.

For the next solid week, Quinn was completely silent, – at home, at school, at Rachel's house. It scared her senseless, when Quinn did not speak to her on Monday, or the rest of the week, or that weekend, nothing at all.

Abby explained that this happened sometimes. It was Quinn's way of processing what had happened. In this case, she was processing being the only child at home, because Rebecca was gone, and Abby was living on campus for college.

She just needed time, Abigale had told 6-year-old Rachel. Just be patient and wait, and soon, Quinn would begin speaking again.

Rachel became the "LuLu Whisperer" for the first time, as Noah called her, because after only a couple of days, Rachel was carrying on conversations with Quinn as if the blonde was responding and was getting her needs met perfectly, communicating with Quinn through her facial expressions.

Now, Quinn's world was turned upside down again. Rachel was, but knows she should not have been, surprised when Santana told her that Monday during lunch, after the Friday when Quinn told her everything, that the blonde had not spoken all weekend or all morning at school.

Honestly, Rachel should have seen this coming, – Quinn was exceptionally quiet after their conversation, and was all night, and in the morning on Saturday when the Unholy Trinity left her house.

It's been three weeks, though, and Rachel is worried because Santana and Brittany keep telling her that Quinn is not speaking, – at their houses, in their classes, at lunch, or at Cheerios practice, – and Rachel has not heard her say one thing during Glee, except for when they were singing.

Rachel wonders if it is permanent.

This is the longest of any time Quinn has gone during her "quiet days", and it worries the Diva that she may not get to hear her best friend's voice again.

What worries her even more, though, is that Quinn is so anxious and unable to "process" everything, that it has caused her to be silent for this long.

*Glee*

It's been a long, long fucking day for Rachel Berry.

Everyone throughout the day has stayed away from her. It's as if she was channeling all three of the Unholy Trinity's personalities at once, the "I'm angry, don't try to fucking talk to me" attitude practically coming off her in waves.

Even Mercedes and Kurt, who usually just ignore Rachel's Diva Tantrums, were unsure of whether they should approach her to ask what was going on.

Now, it is after Glee and Rachel had sat at the back of the classroom, her body language screaming try it, I fucking dare you, to anyone who thought about approaching her, her arms folded, and her mouth silent, and it took Mr. Schue a full two minutes of gaping, of trying to figure out if he should say something, but for once, he actually listened to Santana when she simply said…

I wouldn't do it if I were you.

But now Glee Club is over with, and Rachel is huffing and puffing and angrily putting her things back in her backpack, and she and Santana are stacking the chairs up, and Brittany and Quinn are watching wide-eyed, both Rachel and San, because the younger of the two seems to be completely ignoring Rachel's attitude, and well…

Once the chairs are stacked and Rachel has her things gathered and she is about to walk out of the room, Santana finally breaks the… whatever the fuck this is… tension and asks,

"You gonna tell us what's wrong?"

And she says it with her own attitude and Brittany's eyes widen even more and even Quinn freezes up because she sees Rachel stiffen and she stays that way, facing the door, about three feet from the exit, and no one has any idea of what to say, but then…

Rachel spins around, and her eyes are ablaze and they've missed this, because this is Rachel Berry coming to play with Santana Lopez, the one who isn't scared or timid, the one who is most likely going to cuss, and might even will throw in some not-so-nice Spanish words, and…

"Oh?"

It's her Scary Voice, as Brittany calls it.

And Santana is minutely straightening up, but for the most part, she stares directly into Rachel's eyes, a silent bring it on, if you will.

"You want to know what's wrong, do you?"

And at this point, even Brittany knows that was rhetorical question, and that this is, mostly likely, not going to end well.

"Well, let me tell you what's wrong," Rachel punctuates this by tossing her book bag to the side and Britt's eyes flint to it and back and…

"Where should I start?"

"Maybe it's that three of the four people who I considered to be the most important persons in my life have went from torturing me, ordering slushies, calling me names, alienating me, for four years, to finally speaking to me again."

"Or maybe, it's that they can only speak to me for 15 minutes at a time during lunch, because no one can fucking know they are doing it in the first place."

"Maybe it's I was finally told why they have been doing everything. And now, I can't do a fucking thing about it, because they have asked me not to!"

"You want to know what is wrong, Santana? Then, let me tell you…"

"I haven't slept in three fucking weeks, do you understand that? Do you understand how terrified I was Saturday night as I lay in bed, wondering if I was going to see you on Monday? As I thought of every single fucking possibility of what could happen to you three?"

"How about Monday, when you told me that Quinn hadn't spoken a fucking word all weekend or all morning? I'm not sleeping, I am barely eating, I am practically forcing myself to finish my plate of food every night, – even though I am so nauseated with fear and worry and anxiety, that it's I all can do not to throw up! – so I don't worry my Dads, because I can't tell them what is bothering me, if they fucking ask!"

"So you want to know what is wrong with me? I'm terrified, Santana, that's what's wrong."

Rachel's voice breaks and along with it, all three hearts of the other girls in the room. Santana's lost her fight, her posture now drooped, and her gaze not quiet on the shorter girl. Brittany and Quinn watch with tears in their eyes.

"But I'm not just terrified," Rachel suddenly continues, tears gone from her voice, and…

"I'm also fucking pissed off. I'm pissed at Russell Fabray for how he has treated you three, I'm pissed off at your and Brittany's parents for not seeing what was right in front of them for four years!"

"And I am so, so fucking pissed off at you three for telling me I can't fucking tell anyone, for telling me that I can't protect my family!"

She stops then, and it is quiet for nearly two solid minutes, before Rachel speaks again, softer this time, with none of the fire in her eyes, with her posture that of a defeated young girl.

"You want to know what is wrong? Take your pick, Santana."

And then, she turns, walks to the wall, picks up her book bag, and leaves the room.

And there you go. I know that Rachel cussed a lot during this, but honestly? Truly and really honest? It was needed. Because there was no way I could get her to make her point without the cusswords.

Anyway, please review and let me know what you thought! :) I have this prewritten to chapter nearly 18, so the chapters will be close together still.
