It was a quiet day.

She liked it that way.

He liked it that way.

Everyone wins, right?

Wrong. Kali had been very grumpy as of late, and leave it to her insane mate to make a comment about her raging hormones to break the silence.

"Oww… Oww… Oww…" He whines pathetically after she slammed him against the top of the nice new cave with her psychic energy.

"Sorry Love... I had to say it." He said with a chuckle. It was totally worth the pain in his spine, at least he though so.

"I forgive you, but say it again and I will kill you in such a painful way I do not want to tell you, lest it haunt you in your sleep."

She was really scary when she was hormonal.

"Kali, you know I love yooou…. Please let me down from up here?" he begged her, trying to look cute.

"Fine, but you owe me Kabu." She mutters as he dropped less-than-gracefully to the ground.

"Owe you? For letting me live?"

"Precisely"

"Eep..." he muttered, cracking his neck and grinning at her. "So, how are you feeling love, beside the raging hormonal pain?"

"What was that…?"

"I said how are you and I love you so please don't kill me?"

"That's what I thought. And I am okay, thank you." She said with a soft smile, licking his cheek.

"When are they due?" he asked, smiling proudly at the bulge in her mid-section.

"A week, maybe?" She looked outside of the cave at the nice little clearing in front of it, surrounded by forest. "I love this place, good choice."

"Glad you like it, It was hard getting the absol out, nearly killed me.." he said in a serious tone.

"You never told me that! Are you okay! How bad were you hurt!" she said, jumping to her head only to be brought back down by a cramping pain.

He chuckled, earning a forked tailed slap in the back of the head, "Joking, joking… no one lived here."

"You are luck as hell I love you." She growled out at him.

"I know, right?" he said cheerfully. "I can't wait until there here, you'll be a wonderful mom…"

She couldn't help but smile, "And you will be the best father they will ever know."

"I'll be the only father they know..?" he said, confused.

And that was enough to let her win the battle.

Again.
