Hello humans it's Weegee1 again with another chapter of my Winnie the Pooh story. If you wonderful readers wonder where I've been read the author notes at the end of the chapter. Looking back through my story I realized in my infinite wisdom (read scatter brained madness) I forgot to finish up the creation myth. This chapter and the next seeks to remedy that error on my part. I must thank each and every one of you. Over 9000 views and a great number of followers and favorites. I am truly humbled. Now without further ado let's commence the story. Taking a page from the fanfiction bible page 1 paragraph 3 I own nothing but my OCs all fandoms are owned by their perspective companies.

In a dark room a figure settled down into a bed with tattered covers. On the table was a scattered cluster of rusty screws and bolts. The figure was obscured entirely by the darkness except for a rusty mechanical hand missing its pinky. Once the figure started snoring softly a muted buzzing began to come from beneath the figures bed slowly building in volume. From the shadows several flying insects emerged followed by a creature that seemed to repulse the natural world with its mere existence. Its form was a warped and twisted mockery of a man, its skin was twitching as if containing countless, diminutive, writhing creatures just below the surface.

The monstrosity had flesh was blackened with red veins similar to hardening lava and just like hardening lava yellowed discharge dripped forth from cracks in the flesh. The only features that weren't mutilated to the point of incomprehensibility was a pair of pure black eyes with a pinprick of light in the middle and a mop of greasy hair. With a empty dead gaze the figure slowly bent until its hands were on the ground. With a sound similar to breaking bones a long tail similar to a scorpions tore free of its back. The figure on the bed began sitting up in the slow manner of someone just waking up. Before the bed bound figure could sit up the monster's stinger launched forward jabbing behind the formerly sleeping figure's ear knocking them to the bed and out of consciousness. As blood freely poured out of the hole behind the figures ear the creature hissed out "Sleep tight." in a rasping manner making a sound similar to a death rattle. After its mocking comment the monstrosity exited the room and vanished into the dark. As the figure on the bed slowly bled out a shrouded form in thick robes entered the room and approached the bed. Kneeling down so that it could look at the person on the bed easier the figure spoke in a wispy voice just barely above a whisper "I can't do much to repay what you did for me or the opportunities you've given. But I can make your last moments a more pleasant one than he would have gifted you.".

Taking a break in their talking the figure withdrew a syringe from an overly large pocket along with a small vial of silvery liquid. Grasping the vial firmly before shaking up the fluid in the vial the figure began talking again "I don't know if you are capable of still hearing me but I am sorry I couldn't save you. Revealing myself would jeopardize my plans. The only thing I can offer up is this concoction of my own creation. It will kill off your nerve endings to stop the pain as well as take your mind back to your happiest memory. Enjoy your next great adventure Uncle Johan.". With their words said the figure filled the syringe with the now shaken fluid and injected it into the wound from the stinger. As soon as the needle was removed from the wound in his neck the hole began smoking and closing. Once the hole was closed the figure got up and walked out unaware of the dream produced by Johan's dying mind.

In the dream a man with graying hair, crow's feet, and stern features sat on a worn wooden chair in a dark room. He wore a faded pair of pants, a heavily weathered leather overcoat, and a stained white undershirt. A golden band embraced his ring finger and a pocket watch ticked slowly on in a torn pocket. With one hand he massaged his stubble covered chin in thought with the other he rocked a small bassinet. Within the bassinet lay a small bundle of blankets with a small and chubby face poking out. After a while the baby began fussing from lack of attention. "Ah sorry morĂ³ my mind is so very far away." the man muttered. Moving his hand from his chin to his lap the older man picked up an old cracked leather book. "Now how did the story start? Was it a long long time ago in a galaxy far away? Was it once upon a time?" the man asked the baby. The baby stared at him with hazel eyes and gurgled as if to say "silly old man you know how it starts.". With a grating chuckle the man opened the book "Very well morĂ³." The man took in a breath and began reading from the book.

"In the beginning there was a lush wilderness, a garden of sorts with plants that were so numerous as to be uncountable, plants that no longer exist. Trees that bore fruit of impossible description, some bore star shaped fruit others apples, pears, pineapple and other such fruits like nowadays. There were grains, berries, and other countless bounties of nature's gifts it was beautiful to see. Plants weren't the only things in the garden though, there were all manner of beasts that crept, crawled, walked, hopped, and ran through the garden going about their lives in perfect harmony the ancestors to predators would feed upon the more protein rich plants while the prey animals would feed upon the roots, grasses, and leaves. It was a harmonious life that sadly wasn't meant to last. In this garden was a farmer of sorts, the only one of his kind, an odd sort of creature, the very first human.

The human was happy for a long time tending to the animals, tending the plants, harvesting crops and other such things to keep busy. One day while caring for the animals the farmer came across a family of birds consisting of a mother, father, and several chicks, farther in the garden he came across a pair of wolves and their pups, on and on this went. For several days this went on, for several days the farmer walked with a hollow bitter feeling deep within himself. One night he started wishing for a family of his own, for a female companion for himself. For a month he wished, for a month he desired, for a month he had hope. At the end of the month a miracle happened, one day the farmer was tending to a flock of sheep when from the bushes emerged a creature he had never seen before.

The creature walked on two legs like him, had a nose and face like him, it even had hair on its head like him however that's where the similarities ended rather than skin she had scales of darkest black that were so small they were nearly imperceptible unless one was within arms distance of her. Her fingers and toes were tipped in vicious black claws, her teeth were sharp and multi rowed like a shark's. Her eyes were white except for a red pupil, and from above her buttocks emerged a thin flexible tail covered with the same scales as the rest of her body. She was something that he had never seen before in his entire existence, he had no clue what to do to get her attention, a fact that much later on she found endearing.

Looking at the animals living in the garden he studied various males' mating habits, first he imitated cranes and other such birds by dancing around rather awkwardly, other than laughter it got no change in her attitude. The next animal that he decided to mimic was the penguins in the colder regions of the garden by picking up random baubles that were colorful and uniquely shaped before putting it all in a pile in the middle of a nest of soft grasses, in return the female made him a house of wood capable of keeping out the rain and cold. The next animal that he imitated was a tortoise. For the next few days he went everywhere she went without fail, at first it was cute to her they would walk with hands entwined and smiles on their faces. But she was a being born of wishes, and secrets beyond her caller's understanding. Staying with him at all times while enjoyable was also frightening to her.

Like the snakes, lizards, and other scaled creatures she shed, unlike most creatures she shed every full moon, an event that was rapidly approaching. During shedding she became a much more bestial entity with a mouth filled with fangs so long it prevented her from closing her mouth. Her nose turned into serpentine slits, her legs were absorbed back into her tail making it long and thick like a python's. Her fingers became webbed and her eyes became slit. One night out of the month she would disappear and so would several aged and infirm animals. For several months he took no notice after the first month they copulated resulting in her becoming pregnant. After two months she started fattening with her young. It was at the fifth month that the man decided to follow her into the dark parts of the garden that he never entered before. Following the trail of fine scales that she left behind he came across a frightening sight. In the center of a lifeless clearing surrounded by gnarled dead trees and the bones of dead animals that had been going missing was a creature that vaguely represented his mate.

It was a black serpentine creature that was currently in the midst of regurgitating animal bones from a prior meal, her stomach was gravid and bumpy completely obscuring her body from torso to pelvis due to countless eggs. Reaching forward she grabbed a dead sheep ignorant of the eyes resting on her, her jaws stretched, and stretched, and stretched until she had over half of the animal down her gullet with the other half following shortly after. A snapping of dry bleached bones drew her attention, using her powerful coils she raised herself to her full sixteen feet of height and hissed at the intruder before ordering it to step forward. From the shadows the farmer emerged, his face full of fright and confusion before the female could utter a single syllable to comfort or calm the farmer he yelled that a monster like her was undeserving of love of any kind. With eyes full of tears, a broken heart, and countless progeny developing within her she slithered far away into the unexplored bogs and swamps were she made her home remaining in her true serpentine form for the rest of her life. It was a great many years before she sought out her one time mate, preferring to stay in the bogs and marshes to watch over her ever growing clutch. He laid in the same nest that he made for her with nothing changed other than the effigy that stood outside the nest.

The effigy was made of clay that had hardened to look like similar to the farmer except for a few key features, rather than having a flat broad chest it had small breasts, its hips were wider, and it had a vagina. It seemed that the farmer had been trying to make a mate for himself but couldn't gift it with life. Slithering up a nearby tree she waited until the morning, when the sun woke the farmer the serpent revealed herself. The farmer attempted to yell but with a swiftness rivaling any snake's striking speed she clasped her hands firmly over his mouth. She said to her one time lover that she could give the creation life so he could have a family of his own but he would have to give her three things in exchange. The farmer agreed with not a moment of hesitation on his part. The first thing she requested was one of his ribs which she placed inside of the statue along with powdered bones from her original dwelling giving the construct bones, for skin she made a slurry of animal hides which she spread over the statue, for eyes she ground the baubles from the farmer's nest before putting the powder into the holes where the eyes would be.

For a tongue she took several flowers and crushed them into a paste and put them into the construct's mouth, for teeth she used a wolf's teeth and a lamb's allowing the creation to subsist on anything, and for hair she spun together horse hair for length and goose down for softness. To give the statue life she used the amniotic fluid from an elephant to give her wisdom, the shells from a swan egg to gift her with grace, crushed up bodies of dozens of female salmon for fertility, the fangs from several snakes to give her hidden strength, combining the ingredients with water from her swamp and one of her unfertilized eggs to give her a hypnotic beauty she made a rotted black slurry that the statue was submerged in. The last thing that the serpent gave to the statue was a name. She dubbed the statue EvE so the statue would have a beginning and an ending as all natural creatures should have.

For the second thing the serpent had the farmer fertilize the rest of her eggs, once the task had been completed she left for her swamp saying that she would come for the third wish when the time was right. Before she was out of hearing range the farmer asked for a name, tilting her head slightly she simply said AtA and left not to be seen for many years. After three days of waiting by the statue's resting place AtA welcomed EvE into the world of life, for many months they were happy frolicking in the tasks that the farmer had been doing from the beginning of his life. They took joys in the simple actions of talking to each other. When he would say something she had an intelligent reply that lead to hour long conversations, she was swift and graceful with her movements able to out maneuver AtA at every turn, and her beauty was near incomparable in every way with a svelte figure, a voice like the song of countless birds, and eyes the color of the rainbow she was perfection in AtA's eyes.

After a year EvE and AtA decided to try to make a child an event that showed the gift given by the salmon worked, over the course of four months EvE steadily grew around the middle, near the end of the fifth month she went into the woods at night alone. The next day she emerged from the woods carrying a healthy baby boy with blue eyes, a wispy shock of blond hair, and a pale complexion that they named Cane after the sugar that she craved during her pregnancy. Cane grew up to be an energetic and curious young man who cared for his younger siblings. The next child was Able a black haired green eyed youth with a penchant for trouble who was given the name due to EvE saying she was able to do everything she could do before the pregnancy. The last son was Seth, a hazel eyed brown haired boy who was silent and well behaved. Gnat was the firstborn daughter of AtA and EvE a white haired girl with a violet left eye and a red right eye; she was named due to her small stature and her love of plants. The last child was Azura, the second daughter due to her light blond hair, dark blue eyes, and a defect that caused her to have light blue skin.

One day Seth and Cane decided to adventure into the forest to forage for berries and fruit for food, an hour into the forest they came across a clearing filled with odd figures of various sizes, shapes, and colors all of which were female. Upon noticing the brothers most of the fantastical creatures ran away to hide, some just stayed still and observed the strangers in their midst, and a few slowly moved forward to investigate. After a tense few minutes the creatures began playing with the young men. For hours on end they played tag and hide and seek as well as other such games. For years the young men picked fruit for their family meals and played with the creatures peacefully, but one day that all changed. Filled with curiosity Able had started following the trail left by his brother's constant walking. Hearing his brother's laughter he decided to go back and tell his parents that Cane and Seth weren't working.

A small sprite was watching Able and warned Cane and Seth about their brother's behavior. Cane and Seth were used to moving quickly through the roots and brambles of the forest while Able was not used to the difficult terrain. Breaking through the brush of the tree line with a vicious grin Able began walking towards his parents only to stop upon seeing the harvest bin full of fruit and berries while Cane and Seth were chatting with Gnat and Azura happily. Seeing Able Cane waved him over. For months Able kept trying to get Cane and Seth in trouble, one day Able managed to sneak by the sprites that watched over Cane and Seth and saw them playing with the creatures. An act that his father forbade, finding something to use against his more popular siblings he skulked off back to their nest.

When Cane and Seth returned back to the nest they came across their mother and father arguing while Able just looked at Cane with a victorious smirk. After several hours of angry debate AtA declared that none of his children were allowed to interact with the children of the Serpent. Cane brought up the fact that much of their food came from the territory of the creatures. His father remained firm in his decision, so Seth, being the smartest of the sons, thought of a way to prove that living alongside the creatures was beneficial to both parties. The creatures got playmates and the family had an abundant supply of food. To prove this to his father he proposed a game of sorts. There would be two teams each with a larder for fruits and vegetables and three days to fill them in. The teams would consist of Cane and Seth on one side who would harvest in monster territory and the other side would consist of EvE, AtA, Able, Gnat, and Azura who would harvest in monster free territory.".

His watch rang, breaking his focus on telling the story. Taking a moment to reach into his shirt pocket he pulled out a vial filled with pink fluid. Popping the cork off with his teeth he downed the fluid and immediately scrunched up his face. With a cough the man resumed the story. "The first day of the competition between the family showed a clear difference in harvesting capabilities. With all the help of the monsters Cane and Seth were able to fill their container by half while the family members that disliked the monsters or were indifferent to them only had their container filled by a quarter. Able waited until everyone was asleep and Cane returned to the woods with Seth before he began pacing back and forth from one trough to the other, he would prove his brothers to be inferior to him one way or another.

Able knew he couldn't take food from one container and put it in the other even an idiot would figure it out, he could break the container that Cane and Seth were using because the only one strong enough to break the container in his group besides him was his father which everyone would figure out just as quick as his first plan. So involved in his scheming Able didn't notice the small figure sitting on the highest branch in the fruit tree, with long black hair, red eyes, pale skin and three large bumps above each eye. After about five minutes of watching Able stew the figure giggled to draw attention to herself. With a haunting grace she started lowering herself from the branch using a single gleaming silver strand. Before Able could yell and draw attention to the intruder she jumped onto him and used her entire four foot frame to squeeze the air out of his lungs turning the yell into a tiny wheeze. Leaning down next to his ear she told him of a plan that would bring praise to him and discredit his brothers. All he had to do was listen to her. After a while of thought he gave a nod and the mysterious female told him of her plan.

AtA and the rest of the family that didn't work with the monsters awoke to a terrifying sight. Viscera and blood from many different animals covered the clearing, shards of wood from Cane's container dotted the ground alongside destroyed fruit and vegetable matter, and at the edge of the clearing where the forest started sat a shivering scared girl with black hair. AtA as well as Gnat and Azura remained hesitant to approach the mysterious girl, EvE's motherly nature seemed to kick in all at once and she approached her. In between sobbing the girl told the family that her name was Anna the youngest daughter of Lilith the Serpent of the Garden. She said she was chased out by her siblings who seem to have gone mad and began slaughtering the animals of the Garden indiscriminately.

The family were all so wrapped up in Anna's story that only Able noticed the wink that she sent over the shoulder of the hug that EvE had her wrapped in. Cane and Seth chose that exact moment to come into the clearing with several monsters carrying fruit and vegetables which they promptly dropped when they saw the clearing covered in gore. Before they could ask what was going on their father began yelling at the creatures to leave as they were unwelcome, most left other than three of them a large, red skinned female with blue hair, and a foul smelling gourd at her right hip stood with nothing but a loin cloth on Seth's right easily towering over him at seven feet tall on Seth's left stood a shorter creature nearly inverted to the one on his right with red hair, blue skin, and she wore a green robe and stood at five feet tall, both hade bumps in their abdomens showing their developing pregnancies.

The third creature was a beautifully bizarre being with a horse like lower half covered with fine black scales giving it a bright reflective sheen, instead of having horse legs it had six humanoid arms ending it clawed hands, from her backside emerged a long rat like tail ending in a large fleshy flower bud like growth. For her human half she was a tall, pale, statuesque woman about six feet tall from the waist area up, with mammoth breasts that obstructed her entire torso from the bellybutton up in a heavy teardrop shape, she had graceful arms ending in long fingered hands, black hair fell in a silk curtain down past her shoulder blades, pink eyes stared out from behind a bone mask covering her face from her dainty noise all the way up to her hair line.

Giving a smile revealing sharp teeth she greeted EvE as her mother due to being mated to Cane, what was to be a joyous day was ruined when AtA threw a stone at the odd group an action he repeated until they left the clearing and returned to the woods. Returning to their nest Cane and Seth turned to comfort their partners and plan for the future unaware of the events put into motion. While AtA, EvE, and Gnat were happy to see the monsters and the corrupted brothers left, Azura was saddened, but the oddest reaction was from Able and Anna. Able was filled with rage at the perceived unfairness. Cane and Seth no longer had to work since they now lived in the forest. Anna however had another plan to forward her desire and Able would play along wonderfully. "

A knocking on the door interrupted the withered man's story telling. "Who could it be at this hour?" the man muttered out as he rose from his chair bones popping and creaking in protest. Looking down at the babe wrapped in blankets he saw that he finally was asleep "I'll finish the story when I get back my little one." he promised as he walked to the door. Opening it he saw an equally worn and old man with several inhuman features. His right eye was black and multifaceted while his ears were long and pointed. His lips were thin and drawn revealing several rows of sharp teeth and a black tongue. "Good Evening Johan." The inhuman being spoke in greeting. "What do you want Moreau?" the now named Johan asked in an irritated tone. "Can't old neighbors say hello once in a while?" Moreau asked as soon of the last syllable left his mouth an old revolver was put directly between his eyes. "We stopped being neighbors the moment you sold our little town out in the old country in order to weasel your way out of danger. So I am going to ask you one more time for civilities sake. What do you want Moreau?" Johan angrily inquired in a voice full of hate. "Despite our misgivings I come only to help you. As you know when we all managed to escape the regime of the forties I did my best to make up for misdeeds by helping those who managed to escape.".

Holding a hand up to stop Johan's next response Moreau's ears swiveled with a minute narrowing of his normal eye Moreau hissed out "The shadows have ears.". With a burst of speed Johan was disarmed and pushed through the door swiftly followed by Moreau. As soon as Moreau closed the door his left arm and leg hit the floor followed by his lower half. Before his torso could hit the floor it was pinned to the wall by several spiked cables and wires. Once the cables and wires pulled tight a long black spike was jammed into the door in range of his vision. "That was very ill advised Moreau." Johan grit out. With dry chuckles Moreau merely responded "In the street there are many eyes and even more ears. Now tell me, is this Able's Iron a half inch from my eyes?". With spiteful tone Johan replied "You know it is Frankenstein.". With all kindness and humor gone from his face Moreau's neck snapped and rolled his head towards Johan "So you remember my old nickname comrade Schmidts? You judge me harshly but how many people did you butcher to preserve you and yours. A dozen, two dozen, ninety five? No one is innocent on a battlefield."

A cracking sound dissipated the silence that descended upon the room as a raw redish arm made of bone spurs wrapped in muscles emerged from Moreau's abdomen shoving Johan back. Before the arm could do anything else the spike of Able's Iron pinned it to the door. From the hole in the hand a foul smelling steam began emerging as the flesh slowly dissolved around the metal. "Now that you know I'm not playing around why are you here Arthur?" Johan asked as he sat down. With a sigh of defeat Arthur Moreau allowed his extra arm dissolved into a putrescent puddle. "You remember of course that around eight months ago some people started disappearing during missions to the outer world." Arthur spoke quietly as if in deep thought. "I did some digging and found out that each person who disappeared was a child of an outsider Nicklebie's son, Arturo's daughter, Wallace's children, and all seven of Morton's sons. I dug even deeper digging when Morton's daughter came home unscathed from the same mission that Michaela's son went missing on and found a disturbing discovery. Each person that went missing was gifted. For instance Nicklebie's son could talk to plants, Arturo's daughter could turn invisible, and each of Morton's sons were a replica of his first son.".

"Good God man get to the point!" Johan yelled "You want me to get to the point? The point, Johan, is that they are harvesting us like I harvest animals for their traits to prolong this hellish existence. They send groups made of those with gifts and those without into uncharted and unknown locations. Arturo's daughter was sent out with three first timers into a location that they thought contained a Manticore. Each first timer came back three days later without a scratch. Arturo's daughter came back drier than a mummy which is something a Manticore couldn't do. On the day of her funeral the casket was empty.". Johan looks as if he wants to interrupt in the beginning of Arthur's spiel but as more is said the more understanding dawns in his eyes as the clues begin to add up. "Why come to me with this information? You never share information willingly with anyone." Johan questions.

With a squelching noise Arthur's body seems to liquefy and splatter wetly on the ground. Reforming from the puddle of meat a four foot tall version of Arthur reforms and starts speaking in a squeaky voice "They know that I am on to them. For the first few months of my investigation they knew someone was snooping around but couldn't pin point who it was. It was only three months ago after Wallace's last son Pron died that I had a breakthrough. Pron's gift was isolating bio matter introduced into his body via boils. Under his armpit was a small boil containing a genetic substance I never saw before.". With his curiosity peeked Johan couldn't help but to ask "What was it?". Arthur merely shook his head "Telling you would lead them to hunt you and the rest of your family. Now I believe you have a story to finish telling your grandson. Goodnight Johan." Turning to leave Arthur was stopped when he reached the door "I'll take care of the girls if anything happens to you." Johan promised. With a nod Arthur left and Johan proceeded to return to his charge's side to continue his story. In the real world Johan took his last breath with a smile on his face and a muttered word "Charlie.".

Author's notes.

As you can tell I am alive. It turned out that my ailments weren't caused by the flu or the wonderful virus buzzing around my state. It was a severely infected tooth that went septic. The infection managed to pass the blood brain barrier which ended up causing involuntary body spasms, seizures and a cocktail of other problems. Suffice it to say that I am doing much better now. I had to break this chapter into two parts to help with my writers block so I apologize for the shortness of the chapter.
