Chapter Two

It's been two months since the last time I saw her and her beauty is still the same as I can remember. The enticing curves, dark blue eyes and luscious lips that had been to places in my body that had not been touch for so long and got me pregnant as a result…. My thought process was put into sudden halt after remembering the result of that night with this woman.

"You!" I shrieked as I point my finger at her but the woman just arched her brow and sauntered my way. "What are you doing here and how did you find me?" I looked at her face when my finger touches the top of her chest when she stood in front of me.

The woman held my hand and pushes it down and closed the distance between us. The next thing I knew, soft lips were attached to mine and kissing me.

Oh…

I opened my mouth willingly when I felt her tongue prying it open and moaned when mine touches hers. I wrapped my arms around her neck when she released my hand and her arms wound itself around my waist to pull me closer to her body. It's been two months since the last time we kissed and yet it still had the same effect as before. The kiss was full of fire and want…..

No…..

How can I fall once again for the same trick as two months ago? Am I really that desperate for a woman's touch that I easily give in? I asked and ended the kiss but she held me tight not letting go as I tried to pull away from her embrace. "Let me go…" I said as I struggled to free myself from her but her slightly muscled arms are strong.

"I miss you." The heavy accent was still there and it still gives me that same pleasant effect to unmentionable places like before but what surprises me was the sudden jolt in my chest that I felt when she said those words. "And we need to talk," she added firmly as she stared at me then down to my stomach.

I felt myself stiffened and the feeling of dread settles around my stomach. Does she know I'm pregnant?

"About what?" I asked in nonchalance as I try to calm my racing heart.

"I think we better talk somewhere else than here." She whispered as her eyes darted around us. I frowned and about to protest when I saw some of my neighbors are looking in our direction.

I sighed and push myself away from her and this time she let me go. I ignored the people around us and gestured for her to follow me. I opened the door to my home and let her enter first before following behind her.

My home wasn't that big and it hadn't been altered by magic too since I live with the muggles and I knew how nosy some of my neighbors are especially the old ladies that I always caught peeking through their windows whenever I leave and arrived back home. And with the stunt that the blonde pulled in front of my house just now, I'm sure I'll be the talk of conversation for the whole neighborhood.

After locking the door, I gestured for the blonde to sit in the living room. "Have a seat." I said because I knew that our talk will be a long one. Might as well offer the woman something to drink since she's still my guest and I'm nothing but polite. "Would you like some coffee, tea, juice or water?" The woman shook her head and sat down in the single sitter sofa. "Can you wait here? I just need to make myself tea." I told her and left the room without waiting for her reply and went to my kitchen.

I poured water in the kettle and set it in stove then grab two cups although she said no to any drinks I offered. I went next to my cupboards and searched for chamomile tea; I took two bags and set them in the cups. I leaned back on the kitchen counter facing the stove as I wait for the water to boil and my mind wonders back to all the events that had transpired in my life within twenty four hours. It was like the day with our final battle with Voldemort that everything was a whirl wind sans the spells flying around and deaths everywhere.

I looked over my shoulder in the direction of my living room where I left the woman. The woman I slept with two months ago and whose name I still don't know. Way to go, Hermione Granger… I told myself and shook my head at my own stupidity.

I was pulled away from my thoughts when I heard the kettle's loud whistle. I turned off the stove and poured waters in the waiting cups before putting it back on the stoves. I grab the caps and went back to the living room; I put down one of the caps in the coffee table in front of the woman and sat down in the double sitter sofa before putting down my own cap in front of me. I stared down at the brown liquid swirling softly inside the cap silently as I figure out how to continue with our conversation.

"Before we go on, let me introduce myself." The woman thankfully breaks the silence for us and I looked at her. "My name is Fleur Delacour." She said as she offered her hand to me, I accepted her hand and opened my mouth to introduce myself as well but she beat me to it. "I knew your name from the start, Hermione Granger." The confusion in my face must be evident when I let go of her hand so she continued to talk. "I knew who you were when I approached you that night. You are widely known in wizarding world not just because of your participation during the war but also the works that you've done for all magical creatures." I nodded and grab my cap of tea as I waited for her to continue whatever it is that she wants to tell me.

I'm not going to admit it to her this instant about my pregnancy and that she might be responsible for it. Because me getting pregnant by a woman even though she has magical creature blood in her is still impossible or maybe I'm waiting for factual explanations if how did it happen in the first place.

How Fleur did know in the first place?

So many questions swirling in my head but I knew that Fleur held all the answers to it.

"I'm aware of the baby's existence two months ago." Fleur said with a smile which made me frown in confusion. She sighed and looked away from me for a bit as if contemplating on how to explain it. "I'm one fourth veela and my family has this magical book where all the members will appear on it even if they are still a fetus." She said as she looked at me as if gauging my reaction but I stayed neutral and kept quiet. "Two months ago, my grandmother was doing her regular monitoring in the family lineage and there were two lines attached to my name; one that only said baby (fetus). The other line though which connects me to the baby and the other parent was blank." Fleur stop talking as she took a deep breath and exhaled then grab the now warm tea and had a sip. "My grandmother showed it to our family and asked me if I was pregnant which obviously, I'm not." She shrugged and put down the cap back on the table. "I'll be honest with you, Hermione. I slept with a lot of women before you so when the book revealed that I got someone pregnant. It didn't occur to me that it will be you besides the status of the baby were still in fetus so the book didn't reveal if who the other parent was meaning that said parent was unaware that she was pregnant. After that day, we monitored the book everyday to check if it will finally reveal my baby's other mother then finally yesterday. Your name appeared in the book, enough to tell us that you were aware about your pregnancy."

I was shocked by all of Fleur's revelations and my brain seems having a hard time too in processing it all. But my thirst for clarifications and answers beat me to it and gestured for Fleur to continue.

"After seeing your name, I used all my family's connection in the French Ministry to find you." Fleur smiled and reaches out for my hand and I let her hold them. "Even with my veela blood, it's actually impossible for me to make another woman pregnant." She said which makes me look at her suspiciously and she laughs, not the mocking laugh but a happy one which surprises me once again when dark blue eyes showed affections as those eyes looks down in my stomach. "Veela women can only make another woman pregnant if they are mated to them." She whispered the last part which drains all the colors from my face.

Mate… Me? A veela's mate…?

And for the second time after learning about my pregnancy, I lost consciousness.

When I regained consciousness, the room was dark and the single lamp in the living room was left on. I looked at the windows and saw that it was already night time. I must have slept all day after talking to my guest then all the memories that had transpired flooded my brain which made me groan and covered my face with my hands.

Fleur Delacour…

A veela's mate…

I looked at the direction of the front door when I heard the keys and it was push open. Fleur appeared in the doorway carrying paper bags and the delicious smell of Chinese food assaulted my nose and my stomach made an embarrassing noise which made the blonde turn in my direction.

I was greeted with bright smile as Fleur approach me. "I'll take it as a yes that you like the meal that I bought for you." She said and extended an arm towards me. "Come and I'll feed you."

I grab her hand without a word and let her pull me to my feet and drag me towards the kitchen where she puts down the bag on top of the breakfast counter and guided me to sit down in one of the high chairs in front of it. Then Fleur pulled out the boxes of Chinese food from the bag and told me to choose whatever I want as she went to the fridge and grab a pitcher of juice that I don't remember owning one. "I took the liberty to roam around your kitchen while you were sleeping because I knew that once you wake up you'll be hungry." She explained when she saw my silent question and started to pour the juice in two glasses and put one in front of me.

I didn't say anything and had a small sip.

Mango flavored, my favorite…

I looked at Fleur and nodded; she smiled in triumph and sat down on the chair next to me, grabs her own food and we ate in silence. It was a welcomed break after the day that I went through and even though I still have lots of questions for her, I don't mind taking a break from it and enjoy the meal with her.

Once we were done with our food, Fleur stop me when I started cleaning up the boxes. "Why don't you go and relax in the living room and I'll do the cleaning." She said and stirred me away from the kitchen as I tried to protest. "I'll bring you tea when I'm done here." She added when I finally conceded and left her in the kitchen.

As I sat down in the sofa, I started analyzing all the things that Fleur had told me and no matter how hard I try to twist them for other possibilities, it was futile.

Fleur Delacour who got me pregnant is a veela and I'm mated to her and that's a fact.

But what will happen after that?

Even if I'm mated to Fleur, there is still the fact that we are both strangers who enjoyed each other's company for one night. I looked up when I saw Fleur entered the living room and put down the two cups of tea in the table. I waited for her to take a seat which thankfully, Fleur sat down on the same sofa that she occupied earlier.

"What happens now?" I asked as I grab one of the cups and sip the still hot tea.

"We get married." Fleur replied in nonchalance like it was a normal occurrence that happens every day.

I can feel the burning sensation of the hot liquid in my tongue as I tried not to splatter my drink in my living room floor as I stared in disbelief at Fleur's direction. The audacity of the woman to say that we get married is beyond me, a complete stranger who accidentally got me pregnant.

"That's not funny, Miss Delacour." I told her and put down the cup back in the table.

Fleur leaned back in her seat and crosses her leg on top of the other, revealing more skin when her skirt ridden up a bit and my eyes automatically went astray into those long legs that had been entangled too many times with mine on the night we shared in a bed.

"I never said it was." Fleur said smirking when she saw where my eyes had been. "It's only natural that we get married because I'm not letting my baby to be born out of wedlock."

"No. I am not marrying you just because you got me pregnant." We stared at each other both challenging the other to say otherwise.

"You forgot that you are also my mate." Fleur said like it was another reason for me to marry her; I look at her with arched brow and pointed my finger to my front door.

"Get out and don't come back."

Fleur regarded me for awhile then sighed as she stood from her seat. "I'm leaving you alone for tonight but I'm coming back." She said firmly and as quick as she was; leaned down and kiss me on the lips and before I could react, she pulled away with a smug smile on her lips. "Whether you marry me or not, you can't deny my rights as a mother to that baby." And with the flip of her long blonde hair, Fleur Delacour disappeared in thin air.
