Old
You can call me old. I've walked these lands for centuries. Sometimes I get to learn something new. I could pick up lots of theory craft on wild and tier magic, from learning rune-craft from the Elder Dwarfs and blacksmithing from their descendants.
I've walked where no mortal was able to. I've met with the Elves. Picked up their language along the way. I've seen many generations of Elves come and go.
I was at the birth of the dragons. If one lived long enough, one could become an ancient dragon. I've seen countless dragons and their offspring become ancient dragons and pass.
I can remember seeing this planet in its infancy. Rock and lava covered its surface. I saw the moons form one by one. I've seen the passage of ice ages. The birth of life was no less the same. I've seen the evolution of civilizations.
I've walked the path of many. Like I said before, I've learned a thing or two along the way. From farming to fishing. How to hunt, how to forge. Stonecraft, woodworking. You name it, I've learned it. When time is non-consequential, you pick up anything that comes your way.
Humans are flexible creatures. You can extract someone from one environment and deposit them into another. They will adapt to the new environment and survive, or they don't. They seem to like to fall under someone's rule.
New rulers come and go. They use whatever means to grant them the power to rule over their fellow man, from being the strongest to being the richest. I've seen the birth of many century-long reins of kingdoms and Empires. It's constantly changing, and yet not.
I've lived enough time to see humanity reach the stars. They met new races. So I've traveled to the greater Universe and explored new planets and systems. I can recall seeing my first supernovae. It was a beautiful sight to behold. Sadly I've lived long enough to see the end of the Universe. They called it the "Heat death of the Universe."
I've seen what many theories would name the birth of a Universe. The Big Bang. Over and over from the start of my first Universe to the end of many. I've traveled long and seen close to all I could. I've met beings of power; they like to call themselves deities. In my opinion, they are nothing more than people with more power or abilities that they gain from the start of the Universe.
They fought each other as well. Just like the people they claim to be beneath them. Nothing more than a playground filled with infants.
I've studied all I could from countless people, races, and so on. I've longed for a way to stop this madness. Do you know how boring this all is after how many Giga-annums? Then those so-called deities died out, and new ones replaced them.
So why do I still exist?
Many tried to help me understand just what I am. Countless times.
I'm just tired of all this.
