Magical Origins

Year 3: Day in Diagon

Harry finally got up after Olivia had finally cleared him. Artemis and Edward had also freaked out to see Sirus Black along with their parents. However, after Harry calmed them down, their parents explained the full story as they understood. Black had vanished, how he knew about the invisibility cloak was beyond him, but he took it and vanished before Samuel called in the Aurors to resolve Harry's disappearance.

Shortly after, the Head of the Muggle Relations Department and the Aurors took Harry's statement.

"So, your aunt shot you with the…" the Auror said slowly.

"Gun, I believed it's called." The Muggle Relations Wizard said.

"Yes," Harry said truthfully.

"Has she ever…" The Auror asks.

"No, she made it known she hated magic. But this was the first real attempt on my life." Harry said.

"What happened next?" The Auror left.

"I left. As I lost consciousness, I sent out a cry for help to Artemis and her family." Harry said.

"Very well. Do you wish to prosecute them?" The Auror asks.

"No," Harry said.

"You certain, they would go to prison for a long time…"

"I know. But they've always made it clear they don't want me. I belong in the magical world. They in the muggle. The time has come for us to part ways." Harry said with his eyes closed.

"Understandable." The Auror said. In saying that, they left. Some wished Harry would get well soon. Letting Harry get some sleep.

Harry woke up the next day and immediately got up and walks downstairs. Sirius Black had several plates around him, and he was scarfing his face.

"We need to make our plans, especially to capture Peter Pettigrew," Harry said.

The Wynters, Pearces, and Morgans all gathered around.

"I can't stay here." Sirius Black said.

"What do you mean?" Harry asked. It's only been a week, but Sirius and Harry did bond. Sirius was somewhat of a father figure to him.

"The Ministry of Magic is looking for me. If I stay hidden too long, then they'll start to suspect a family is hiding me. I need to been seen heading north." Sirius said.

"What are your plans once you get to Hogwarts," Harry asks.

"Find Peter and kill him," Sirius said simply.

"This is why Slytherin's looks down at Gryffindor's. You all rush in with all brawn but no brains. Even if you succeed, the problem will still remain. You're an escaped felon wanted for murdering several people. We need to get you exonerated." Harry said.

"You got a better plan?" Sirius said.

"You seem to be forgetting that Artemis and I are attending Hogwarts. Getting the rat shouldn't be trouble for us. Though…," Harry said.

"What?" Sirius asks.

"Ron Weasley hates us both," Artemis said.

"However, Artemis is Head Girl. She could easily get her hands on the rat." Harry said.

"What's your plan when you get your hands on it?" Sirius asks.

"Give it to Professor McGonagall. If she undoes the rat herself, then your story will be more believable." Harry said.

"Very well, but Peter will be on guard. It won't be that easy. I'll still try to break into the school. I have to make that attempt, at least. The Ministry will raise questions if I don't appear at Hogwarts. However, you two will attempt to get the rat from the shadows. In the meantime, I'll still let people see to keep the attention off you." Sirius said.

"Samuel, once everything falls into place, can you make sure things move forward?" Harry asks.

"I can. Isabelle can as well. She may no longer have ties to House Black, but she still holds great power and influence."

"These meetings reminds me of our early days." Ruby mused.

"Those days were fun." Ethan Pearce said.

"Soon, it will be the next generations' turn to lead us," Olivia said.

"I'll start heading north, we won't see each other for a while, but if things go well then next summer, we'll be able to spend time together," Sirius said. In saying that, he got up and left.

"Edward, what will you do now that you've left Hogwarts," Harry asks the Morgan heir.

"I'm currently training as an Enchanter. It's a Morgan family tradition." Edward said.

"I'm a little rusty about magical jobs, but that means using magic with everyday items," Harry said.

"Similar. Enchanters create many magical items as well as fix magical items. Morgans are one of the best in Britain. We also have dealings with Scandinavia, Germania, France, and Hispania. We're currently working out deals with Romania and Bulgaria."

"Just keep your head down and don't attract trouble," Harry said in a worried tone.

"You expect trouble?" Edward asks.

"If there's one thing I've learned is that trouble has a funny way of finding people. I think Lucius Malfoy may try something after what I did." Harry said.

"He won't," Isabelle said.

"How do you know?"

"Narcissa Malfoy is my cousin. I've already spoken to her. I merely reminded her…. of her place." Isabelle said calmly.

"What do you mean?" Harry asks.

"She wants the power of House Black for her son Draco, but I reminded her the next in line was our cousin Sirius. As Sirius doesn't have any children, Sirius had the right to choose his successor. Your name was brought up. I merely remind her of the positions and the power play that comes with it. As Draco is still underage, you could… let's say pull Draco's rug from under him."

Harry laughs.

"She didn't like that. Especially when I reminded her of all the favors she had to pull with me to keep her husband out of prison." Isabelle said. "I also reminded her that her husband also insulted you and that you merely got your revenge. She should be speaking to Lucius about it."

"You're cunning and dangerous," Harry said.

"She is indeed," Henry Morgan said, beaming upon his wife fondly.

"We must go, we need to get book supplies for Hogwarts. We all know what we have to do, there is only a week left till we have to leave for Hogwarts." Olivia said.

The Pearces and Morgans said their goodbyes as Harry got up with the Wynter's.

Having a deep hatred of using the floo, Harry was more than ready this time to arrive at the Leaky Cauldron on foot. When he arrived, he looked around, and as he expected, it was crowded. As it was the last week before they return to Hogwarts, many students were attempting to get their last-minute shopping done.

It was at that moment a rat was running with a large cat behind it.

"Don't hurt him, Ron!" Granger shouted as she picks up her cat.

"You keep that bloody beast away from Scabbers. You hear?!" Ron shouted back as he retrieved his rat.

'Please tell me it's that easy.' Harry silently beseeched to the heavens.

"You seem to have had a good trip, Weasley," Harry said as he walks to him.

"Potter, what are you doing here?" Ron shouted.

"Must you shout? I merely am curious as to how your trip went." Harry asks.

"Ron says it was excellent," Granger said.

Harry gave a 'tch' as he looks at Granger.

"I was asking Weasley, not you," Harry hissed. Granger fell back from his gaze.

"You better watch yourself, Potter," Ron said.

"Really? Why?" Harry said with mild interest.

"Because you won't get away with your normal crap this year, Potter." Percy Weasley said as he walks down. A large badge was pinned to his robes.

"Well, Percy, this is interesting," Artemis said as she walks up to Harry and looks at Percy. "Why would Dumbledore make you Head Boy?" Artemis asks.

Percy sneers at her as he stood next to Ron.

"You're not going to break the rules this year, Wynter." Percy scowls as Artemis smiles at him. "You see, I have the power to…"

"You might need to fix your eyes," Artemis said as she points to her badge.

Percy looks at her badge, and his jaw dropped as if he saw something horrible.

"Why in Merlin's name would Dumbledore make you Head Girl?" Percy said in horror.

"Maybe because I'm a model student, and I'm popular. More than you." Artemis said. Percy flushed a deep shade of red.

"I'll speak to Professor Dumbledore at once, Penelope is a much better choice than you are." Percy mumbles.

"The only reason why you want Clearwater as Head Girl is because she's the only one that kisses you," Artemis said with a laugh.

"How do you know that?" Percy hissed.

"Like I said, I'm more popular than you are," Artemis said with a gleam in her eyes.

"Tell you what Weasley, I'll buy you a new pet and take care of your old one for you," Harry said. Merlin, it was killing to be kind to the redhead. "How does that sound for starting the new year."

Lily, who had walked down next to Percy, narrows her eyes as did Hermione. They knew full well that Harry and Ron hated each other.

"I don't need your charity or blood money." Ron snarls.

'Yep, it's going to be that difficult.' Harry realized.

"Harry Potter," Arthur Weasley said. The rest of the Weasleys were coming down.

"Mister Weasley," Harry said in a polite tone of voice.

"Is there trouble?" He asks.

"None, I offered to buy Ron a new pet, but…"

"I don't need a new pet. I'm happy with Scabbers." Ron said as he holds the rat close to his chest.

'Tch, this is going to be difficult if he's that attached to the damn bastard.'

"Well, we shouldn't hold your family up, we have our own shopping to do," Olivia said as she ends the conversation. Harry turns around and eyes Ron Weasley carefully.

"It would have been nice if Weasley had accepted my offer," Harry mutters the moment they were out the Leaky Cauldron.

"It was a valid attempt. But we can't spend all day arguing about a new pet. It would raise questions and suspicions. Let's get your things." Olivia said.

"It was a good try," Artemis said as they step into Diagon Alley.

"The first thing we got to do is refill our funds. We're running low again." Olivia said.

"I'll take care of that," Samuel said as he disappears towards Gringotts.

"What's going on?" Harry asks as he notices a large crowd gathered around the Quality Quidditch Supplies.

They look, and everyone was gathered around a new racing broom that was released.

The Firebolt.

Harry quickly looks at it in awe.

If there was one thing he loved, it was Quidditch.

"I know you want it, but we can't stay," Olivia said.

"Sorry," Harry said with a grin. Ignoring the salesmen who was boasting about the Firebolt. As much as he wanted to stay and admire the beautiful broomstick, Olivia was right, and they had to take care of their school supplies first.

As both Head Girl and the new Quidditch Captain, they went to get their robes first. As Artemis was already reaching her max height, she didn't need fresh robes. Still, she got some because some of her robes had stains or holes in them. One of the things she bought was a new dress, robe. As for Harry, he grew a couple of more inches, and his robes were starting to show signs of becoming too small for him. So Harry got new robes to fit his body after he grew a couple inches

Samuel manages to rejoin them and gives Harry his pouch filled with gold.

Next, they went to Flourish and Blotts.

"Hogwarts?" The manager said as he approaches them.

"Yes, I need it…" Harry said.

"Out of the way." He said as he puts on dragon hide gloves. He grabs a set of books that was making a racket inside a cage. A large belt was wrapped around all of them, but they still were aggressive.

"Here, The Monster Book of Monsters." He said.

Harry checked his list and did notice it was on there.

Harry took it and could it shake violently in his hands.

"What else?"

"Yes, I need Seeing the Signs, and Beginners Guide to Glyphs."

"Starting Inscriptions, are you? That will be a tough subject." The manager said as he walks to the back of the book store and pulls out a large book along with a medium one.

"Anything else?" He asks.

"Yes, I need Intermediate Transfiguration, Intermediate Charms, Potion Opuscule, The Standard Book of Spells Grade 3, and The Essential Defense Against the Dark Arts," Harry said, reading his list.

The manager grabs the book as Harry holds on to them. It already looked like this year was going to be tough.

Artemis got her books as Samuel, and Olivia selected a couple of extra books for Harry and Artemis.

Artemis got a large book called A Healer's Sanctum.

It took Harry a moment to remember Artemis was going to follow in the footsteps of her mother and become a healer.

Harry also bought Quidditch Strategies and Plays as he knew he would need it for this year's Quidditch matches.

Harry also made a quick stop at a magical supplies store to buy an enchanted bag to help him carry all his books, without having to struggle beneath the weight and free up his arms from the large load. As his arms were getting tired. Artemis also bought one as she didn't like the idea of carrying all her books in her arms.

Harry really didn't smile as he walked with the Wynters. This was his school last year with Artemis. When June arrived, they wouldn't spend as much time together as they used to.

'Don't do something you'll regret.' Harry thought to himself.

It wasn't like he would never see Artemis again. He was still going to see her of the summer and maybe over the holidays.

Her proposal for him to use her body entered his mind. He was blushing furiously at the thought of that. Just days ago, she was walking around in a white muggle bikini, only to tease him relentlessly. However, Artemis knew what was going to happen as Harry was having a hard time controlling his urges. She seemed to enjoy it. Olivia would just smile at the two of them, and Samuel would say nothing. It was clear it bothered him, but he never said anything. Harry had the sneaking suspicion that Olivia talked to her husband about it.

"Harry," Artemis said, breaking Harry out of his train of thought.

"I'm sorry," Harry said.

"Did you want to get something to eat? There are places in Diagon Alley that serve good food." Artemis asks.

Harry, realizing just how hungry he was, nodded slowly.

"Sure," Harry said.

They end up at a place that was a mix of both muggle and wizarding food. The Wynters and Harry said nothing as they ate.

"How was work?" Olivia asks her husband, desiring, to strike up some sort of conversation.

"Stressful," Samuel admitted. He lowers his fork and looks at his family and Lord carefully. "With Sirius Black loose…" He said slowly. "The Minister of Magic has insisted that… Dementors be placed around Hogwarts."

Olivia dropped her fork and made no motions to even pick it off the ground.

"Please tell me he's joking." She said softly. A look of fear was written on her face.

"Afraid not. The Board isn't happy either. He insisted that dementors be placed for… extra security." Samuel said.

"Why not Aurors? They would be a much better choice. Dementors around children… has the Minister lost his mind?" Olivia said.

"I asked that question as well. Bringing up the concern about the Dementors near children. However, he said he couldn't spare an Auror as they were searching for Sirius Black."

"What are these Dementors?" Harry asks.

"Foul creatures," Olivia said softly.

"Avoid them this year, you two. You two have never been exposed to them, but there is a great deal of concern with them being near the school." Samuel said softly. "Dumbledore has forbidden them near the grounds, however concerns are still being raised."

Neither Harry or Artemis said a word. They did not like the sound of what going to happen this year at Hogwarts.

"By the way, Samuel," Harry said slowly." Did you get what I asked for?" Harry asks, gradually.

"I did, it wasn't easy as the Ministry likes to safeguard these, but I found someone who had one. Though I'm sure, it was stolen." He said.

Harry puts a book on the table, and Harry looks at it.

'The Path To Animagi'

Ever since Sirius mentioned that he and James were animagus, Harry was interested in it. It took them two years to become accomplished, but he was relatively sure he could attain his animal form before the year ended.

Harry put the book it away, knowing it would raise questions as to why he had it out.

"You seriously going to become one?" Artemis asks.

"Yes, ever since…" Harry said slowly. The family said nothing as they understood where Harry was coming from.

"Can't wait to see your form?" Artemis said.

"It normally takes years to become Animagus. Even Masters at Transfiguration has a hard time." Olivia said, calmly.

"Weasley," Artemis said quickly. Harry looks up and sees Ron glaring murderously at him. The family stops talking, knowing that Ron Weasley was looking for an excuse to get them in trouble. If he found out that Harry was going to become an unregistered animagus, then he would tell his dad who would report him to the Ministry. That meant both a lot of trouble.

"Tch, all he does is try to get me expelled. He really needs to grow up." Harry said as Ron's family came up to him.

Lily walks up to the Weasleys, and she was holding her books. She chatted away happily before they walked down the street.

"I should buy a new set of Quidditch gear," Harry said. "The schools are a bit worn out."

"We have time. Just don't buy the Firebolt, just one of those alone could set us back for months." Samuel said.

Harry knew this already. As much as he wanted to buy a Firebolt, he wasn't a Lord yet. Unquestionably the Heir to the Lordship. But that meant he had a limited amount of income until he could open the rest of the Potter Vaults. He could never bring himself to ask the Wynters or any of his Vassals to spend money on him.

Getting up to the Quidditch store, they weren't surprised to see it was still crowded. Artemis was a fan of Quidditch and enjoyed it as much anyone else at Hogwarts, but she never played. For one, Slytherin didn't let girls on their teams. Or at least, none of the previous Captains did.

Harry grabbed his gear and recalled how all the students didn't have good brooms, or some of their equipment was severely damaged.

Harry instead decides to give Hogwarts houses a generous gift. He was sure the four houses were going to be shocked when they got their gifts.

"Ah, Lord Wynter." Arthur Weasley said as he comes up to him.

"Yes, What is it?" Samuel said as he turns to Arthur Weasley.

"I spoke to the Minister, and he believes its safer," Arthur said slowly. "That Harry stays at the Leaky Cauldron with my family."

Samuel's eyes flashed dangerously.

"Despite the Ministers' best intentions, I am a Vassal under my Lord. He'll be safe with me." Samuel said, feeling insulted.

"Look, they are Aurors in the Leaky Cauldron. We need every careful eye on," Arthur said before turning back to Harry.

Harry paused. He was starting to hate the man as he was trying to get Harry to like him.

"Arthur, let us discuss this," Olivia said. She puts a hand on her husband's shoulder to calm him down. Arthur Weasley nods his head and walks some distance away.

"This may be a golden opportunity," Olivia said.

"What do you mean?" Samuel said softly.

"Remember what our goal is. This is a chance. We could end this fiasco within the week." Olivia whispers. Samuel said nothing as he gives his wife a hard look.

"I want you to stay with him. The Weasley's may say they have their best intentions, but I'd rather not take any chances." Samuel said.

"Don't worry, you've got lots of paperwork to take care of. I'll stay with Artemis and Harry." Olivia said, calmly.

Samuel walks up to Arthur to tell him the news.

"As much as this is a golden opportunity, I have to admit it's going to be hard to deal with Weasley," Harry said as he pays for everything.

"I know my Lord, but we just have to make due. Besides, some things we have to put up with if we want to move forward." Olivia said softly.

"Well, one thing is for sure," Harry said softly.

"What?" Olivia asks.

"Wait till Percy sees you in your bikini," Harry said, grinning to Artemis. Artemis only smiles, knowing full well what Harry had planned. Oh, Percy was going to love it.

They returned to the Leaky Cauldron, where Olivia got them a room. Making sure they would be seen sleeping together.

Harry half wondered if Olivia was trying to hook them up. She claims she didn't but a part of Harry's mind wonder if that was Olivia's real aim. He really couldn't understand a mother setting her daughter up with a guy younger than her. Even if he was her Lord. Olivia herself seemed to be enjoying herself as her daughter teased Harry relentlessly.

Harry said nothing as he climbs in bed. Hearing a small shuffling sound, he looked up and almost gasped aloud. He covered his mouth to prevent himself from shouting.

Artemis didn't even try to stop it, but she removed her robes and stood in what appeared to be VERY lace underwear. Light blue lingerie and bra as she smiles down upon him. She climbs into bed, smiling at him.

"You tease me too much," Harry said.

"I can do worse," Artemis claims.

"Really," Harry said as he doubted she could do worse to tease him.

Artemis flips Harry on his back and climbs on top of him. She starts grinding on him slowly, causing a very natural and instinctual reaction.

'This is worse.' Harry realized.

"Go ahead," Artemis said as she smiles at him.

Harry said nothing as he pulls her on top of him and kisses her. Artemis kisses him back with an equal amount of passion. Artemis stop grinding, but she continued kissing Harry, allowing his tongue to enter her mouth. Harry reaches up and unclips her bra.

The door bursts open, causing them to stop. Artemis turns around as Harry looks up to see Ron and Percy at the door.

"Potter!" They shouted.

"What are you doing?" Percy snarled.

"This is a mood killer," Harry said as he sits up as Artemis grabs the sheet to cover her chest as she moves off of him to sit up.

"What are you two doing?" Percy repeated.

"The real question is, what are you two doing in here. This is our room." Harry said.

"What are you talking about this is room twelve…" Ron said as he looks at the door. But the number eleven was on the door.

"Get out." Artemis hissed.

"You really are shameless, Wynter. The only reason…" Percy began.

"Out!" Artemis shouted.

"What is going on?" Hermione asks as she walks in. She turns crimson, seeing the state of Harry and Artemis.

"Why is everyone coming into our room?" Harry said out loud.

"What is…" Hermione began.

"OUT!" Artemis shouted. She grabs her wand and flicks it twice, first practically blasting the intruders out and the second, causing the door to slam shut. They were finally alone again.

Harry falls back on the bed.

"That ruined everything," Harry said.

Artemis sighs as she lays down. Though the mood was dead, instead, she snuggles up to Harry and falls asleep. Harry says nothing as he holds her and soon falls asleep with her, drowning himself in the sweet scent of the beautiful young woman beside him.

Author Notes: The Hunt for Peter Pettigrew begins. Some of you are wondering why Harry doesn't use his lordship to get Sirius a trail right away and free him. Well, the truth is simple, politics is a nasty business. Harry needs proof before he pushes for Sirius to be cleared. Say that Harry reports Ron rat is an illegal animagus, some might not take it seriously, and it would take weeks before the process begins. Don't forget, Lucius Malfoy wants the political power of House Black under his name. He also has to pull with The Minister of Magic, so that means a trial may never happen, and instead, a dementor's kiss will be given to Sirius. If Professor McGonagall undoes the transfiguration of the animagus, she becomes a witness and has to testify on the evidence of the animagus, especially when she recognizes Peter Pettigrew. Thus begins the chain of events that will give Sirius Black his freedom.

In hindsight, I'm trying to be sneaky and smart over this lol.
