Chapter 42

Senri broke away from the kiss when he heard the soft click of door locking. He understood in order to be discreet she pulled them to a more secure place like this empty room. However locking the door meant taking it to the next level. Which according to Senri was very inappropriate. At least at the given time.

"Why did you lock the door?" He asked the girl who was undoing his blazer and pushed it down his shoulders before discarding it somewhere on the floor.

"Ssshhh don't speak! Enjoy the moment." Aiyora pulled him in for another kiss. One arm wrapped around his neck holding him securely in the position and the other hand was busy undoing the vest.

And then, once his vest came undone, carefully she took one of his hand and slowly slid it under skirt.

Tearing himself from all the passion Senri shot his eyes open. A chill passed down his spine. He was touching her... and she had no...

Not even remotely, it occurred to him what Aiyora had up her sleeves, when she pulled him into the room. She was trying to take a dangerous leap forward. Without properly thinking of it's consequences. And how could he allow something like that?

"Ai-chan!" He broke the kiss again and broke out of her arms, taking several steps back to put a decent distance between them.

"What are you doing?" He scolded.

"Why are you reacting like that?" Now she was walking towards him, in slow, smooth steps just like a feline. "You're blushing Ri-chan." She pointed out with a teasing smile. "Is it because I'm not wearing an underwear...? Or could it be because you felt the most intimate part of me."

"Neither. I wasn't just expecting any of it. Especially you coming to such an event without wearing your underwear. Where are you learning these from?"

"Do you really not pay any attention when watching your mother's movies?"

"You do realize she's the worst example to follow." Senri stated seriously, releasing an exhausted sigh. "Look at her today. I'm sure you don't want a pitiful future like her."

He had a moot point. Therefore she couldn't argue. But that doesn't mean her plans must change, right?

"Come on Ri-chan! Let's leave the future for later and concentrate on the present for now."

Senri shot her a 'what are you insinuating look?'

"...I think we should do it." She shared the her idea. "I'm ready and I'm sure you're also ready. Plus it's the night of the ball. There cannot be a time more perfect than this. Haven't you seen it in movies, on special nights like these, the male and female lead make love."

Senri face palmed himself. "You're so immature!"

"I think I've grown enough. My period had started long ago and incase it slipped your mind, allow me to remind you— I was engaged to someone."

"You were engaged because the council forced it upon you. And period is your body's way of telling you that you're on the verge of becoming a woman. But you haven't become one yet."

"I am woman enough to know that having sex brings a very gratifying feeling and I want to experience that feeling Ri-chan... I want to experience it with you... Because I love you!"

For a moment Senri found himself at loss. He didn't want to blatantly turn her down and hurt her feelings. But she was asking for something that went against his morale.

"Love and love making barely have a connection to tie them down. You can make love to anyone, it's just a polite term for the vulgar word 'fuck'. Whereas love is a deep feeling created inside you by your heart. It's a feeling that you cannot just love anyone."

"So... we're not having sex?" Aiyora asked to confirm.

"Is that all in your mind?" Senri sighed. Surprised how her mind was just stuck on the same place.

"Most of the girls in my group are getting laid tonight. Here I am, just willing to make love to you. And not getting it either."

"First- Most of them are older than you. Second- your girlfriends have the worst reputation. By now you should understand why they hangout with you. If not for close ties with you the dorm president would have sent them home long ago. However, if you have that bad off an itch, just go back to the terrace, the person there will for sure comply."

Aiyora pouted and after a moment of thought asked. "So if not that, then what do we do?"

"You have two choice. One you go to someone willing and let some steam off or..." he offered her his hand. "... take my hand, and together we go back down to the main hall and enjoy the rest of the evening in the company of our friends."

With a sad pout she placed her hand on his. Her plan may not have gone accordingly doesn't mean she will give up on the idea of having a memorable night with her friends and of course, Senri.

Zero headed up to the terrace to see what Yuuki and Kaname were up to. Despite being fully aware how much it would hurt him to see her dance in the arms of the wretched bloodsucker; still, he wanted to make sure she was alright. After all he was starting to get worried... her presence was fading away. And as he reached up there, Zero's fear turned true. The pureblood alone, quietly watching the starless night sky.

"Kuran... have you seen Yuuki around?"

The said pureblood turned, rage brimming his eyes.

"I told you what your role is, you are to be her sheild." Kaname reminded. "I have other priorities. I cannot be looking out for everyone. Which was precisely why I chose you for the task. However... It upsets me that you have forgotten. Or rather not taking it seriously."

It occurred to Zero some time back that the pureblood was neglecting Yuuki. Tonight it became clear. Otherwise why was the brunette here lecturing him, when Yuuki is out there in real danger.

Zero didn't wait. Removing his prefect armband, he ran past the pureblood and jumped off the railing.

Immediately the french window behind Kaname cracked.

"What is it Kaname? You lost your temper. What happened?" Takuma arrived at his friend's side.

The pureblood was almost shaking with rage as he said the following.

"I want someone to tie me down... so I don't do anything rash!"

Yuuki reached the old moon dormitory in haste. Maria was already waiting for her.

"So you've decided." It was Shizuka that was speaking.

"Maria-san please save Zero. In return I'll offer myself."

"Come here..." The vampire commanded. She wasn't surprised. As a matter of fact she knew all along that the human would choose this option.

Yuuki stepped forward and kneeled before Maria.

The vampire looked down on her, with a sinister smile playing at the corner of her lips. Then took Yuuki's hand a brought it to her mouth. But stopped after noting how the human was watching her.

"What is it?" Maria asked.

Yuuki looked away, "I just realized that first time in my whole life I'm glad vampires find my blood delicious... Cause in return you will save Zero for me."

Maria's brows squeezed. A small hint to show her spark of fury. In the next second Yuuki found herself slammed onto the sofa.

"You're so naive and such a fool Yuuki. Do you really believe your blood is the solution to everything...? If anything I was hoping for Kuran Aiyora's corpse. With your choice you're not saving Zero, but instead you're making it easier for Kuran Kaname."

"What do you meant?"

"Do you still not realize that it was me, who drove Zero to despair."

Yuuki was about to say something but got cut off by the sound of bell. She turned to the source and found a masked man holding a body in his arms.

"That... is my real body." Maria introduced walking towards the newcomers. "It's easy to save Zero..."

Maria touched the palm of the unconscious woman and slowly she opened her eyes, revealing those pink orbs.

"You see that boy..." the soul was transferring from one body to another resulting in both females to speak at once.

"...He only needs to drink my blood."

Once the transfer was completed Maria's lifeless form landed on the ground. Yuuki watched the scene in horror. Then turned to the new person in fear and asked.

"H-He needs to drink your blood?"

"Yes, he needs to drink my blood. The blood of his master, Hio Shizuka. That way he will not fall into level-E and finally become true member of the night clan."

Turns out, the person enjoying the ball the most other than the day class girls, was the vice president Ichijou Takuma. The blonde vampire was surrounded by group of days class girls all evening waiting for their turn to dance with the blonde male.

Rima and Senri were once again in a group dance. Aiyora was with them at the beginning but left after one song. She joined her minions that crowded the corner. From them she learned, that Ruka turned down the day class president when he asked for a dance. Usually the pureblood would have brushed off such bland gossip but tonight she was in a strange mood. (Especially after her second failed attempt at seducing Senri.) The pureblood found herself sympathizing with the guy, which prompted her to pull the next stunt—

To everyone's surprise Aiyora approached the day class president Kageyama Kasumi, and asked him for a dance. Sadly, that also didn't go according to plan. The boy passed out from shock causing another ruckus.

After clearing herself out of the mess Aiyora joined Shindo. The girl was standing in the corner, alone, watching the whole show.

"Are you not going to dance with anyone else?" The night class student made the first attempt at conversation.

"I tired, but he did not want to dance with me." She was not crying, but her voice came close to breaking towards the end.

"There other other boys too..."

"It's not the same, I only wanted to dance with Zero."

Aiyora observed from the corner of her eyes. It was evident this girl harbours feelings for the hunter. And acting on those feelings she asked him for a dance. However, Zero's rejection squashed all her hopes under the foot like a bug. The incident touched the female Kuran on a more personal level. It took her down the memory lane, back to night of her most memorable birthday.

"Does it hurt?" Aiyora suddenly asked, then advised. "If it does, let it hurt. Take this as a short term pain. In the long run it will serve as your strongest gain."

Shindo was surprised by those words. And to some extent offended. She didn't want pity of an eye candy who probably has all the boys dancing under her fingertip. Therefore without thinking she spoke out.

"Easy for you to say. When you have every boy in this ballroom dying to dance with you. Be it the day class or the night class."

"I believe the term you're looking for is 'most boy'. Besides I can assure you the guy that rejected you, would have done far worse to me. On top that, the only person I asked for a dance tonight, passed out. Only God know what that means."

"Regardless of what you say... end of the day it doesn't change the fact if one person says no to you, there are ten others ready to say yes. You're beautiful, you're Kuran senpai's sister, you're a model who has everything at the palm of her hand. It's no the same for us, day class girls."

"Shindo-san..." Aiyora faced the other way. "I am quite familiar with the feeling of rejection. I know very well how much it hurts to be left alone and used by your loved ones. One of my earliest memories from my childhood was spending my birthday standing in front of the window, waiting for my special guest."

"And then?" The story instantly caught Shindo's attention.

"I remember asking my nurse-maid to make me cute. He was going to see me after along time. I wanted to make a good impression and naively believed that he wouldn't ignore me if I looked cute. The maid did a great job and I couldn't wait for him to see me. Evening came and I grew impatient. I stood before the window waited... waited... and waited. The evening turned to sunrise, then changed to morning... but he never came. Neither came any form of explanation nor apologies."

"What happened after?"

Aiyora led the girl up to the second floor because the main floor was starting to get more crowded.

"I saw him couple years later. Our elders got us engaged. But soon after I came to realize it was all a ploy. His plan was to sacrifice me for the person he actually loved. But then, fate played a bigger game on him... he grew feelings for me."

"Then?"

"You see, till to this day I'm unclear as to what kind of feelings I harboured for him back then. Were they platonic or passionate? I was too young to understand the difference between the two.

Looking back now I understand, during that time what I needed most importantly was to have him by my side. Sadly he made his choice and it was not me.

It hurt at beginning but with time the pain eased.

Fast-forward by the time his feelings grew, mine were flushed down the toilet.

Many years have passed and I'd like to believe I have moved on and flourished.

...However that little girl is still stuck there somewhere, which is why every time I see a girl getting rejected it automatically triggers that child."

Aiyora drew conclusion to her long explanation. After which there was a moment of silence which Shindo took the initiative to break.

"So what happened with him? Is he still a part of your life...?"

"He's kind of a necessity now. A more accurate way to explain would be, I need him in my life, like how every individual needs... toilet-paper."

Shindo blinked, before letting out a soft laughter. Comparing a person you once loved deeply with toilet paper is something quite unheard off.

"So don't worry." Aiyora was once again back to her haughty self. "If I can survive that. I can help you through whatever you are going through. You have my number right...?"

The human nodded her head enthusiastically.

"Text me whenever you feel down. I'll guide you through. And for future reference— do not, I repeat do not wear your spectacles with fancy dress. It ruins the whole look. Seriously what were you thinking?!"

"Sorry." Shindo timidly apologized for the blunder.

"Your first task tomorrow morning— get yourself some good quality contact lenses. Is that understood?"

"Yes ma'am!"

Aiyora watched from above. A content smile gracing her lips.

Shindo returned to her friends in much better spirit. Considering whose company she was in, naturally made everyone interested in her.

The invisible girl suddenly became quite visible, surrounded my many of the fan-girls, all of whom were asking her about the long conversation she just had with the night class student.

However the pureblood was pleasantly touched when Shindo chose not to reveal the real content of their chat. It made her happy to know that Shindo is a trustworthy person.

With that thought in mind the female Kuran walked to the terrace to get some fresh air, but found another drama unfolding there. This time it involved two the night class students.

"Where is president Kuran?" Akatsuki asked.

And the response to his question was.

"No! I won't do it. I won't dance with anyone but Kaname-sama."

Huh?

Aiyora, who was snooping in, raised a brow amused. Wondering what made Ruka give out such bizarre answer when clearly the question was something different.

Poor Kain-senpai didn't even ask her for a dance, yet she says no! What is wrong with this woman. Probably her infatuation is turning her crazy. The pureblood concluded, impatiently tapping a finger to her chin.

As if it could get any worse, Akatsuki got down on his knee and extended his hand in order to ask Ruka for a dance.

According to Aiyora, this was by far the most romantic gesture someone made this evening. Inside she was deeply praying for Ruka to take his hands. The man did not deserved to be turned down, especially when he was on his knee.

But alas! All Ruka offered him was her silence. The fiery haired vampire waited long enough in hopes that she would change her mind. Only to give up at the end with a sad chuckle and leave quietly with a broken heart.

After witnessing the saddest event of the entire evening. The pureblood changed her mind and quietly left the ballroom. She wanted to be alone for sometime to let her system process Akatsuki's pain.

All these time she wondered why her brother never has never been bothered Ruka and her feelings. Why does he pretend not to take notice. But the incident earlier is making her rephrase her question: What does Kain-senpai see in her?

Unbeknownst and to some extent in absent mind, Aiyora ends up in Maria's residence. But it was after coming in that her sense kick in. She detects not only Maria, but also Yuuki, Zero and a pureblood?!

It seems like Shizuka-sama, has returned to her true form.

Hiding her presence Aiyora walk towards the room where they were all in; and finds Yuuki in the middle of Zero and the silver-haired woman. The brunette had her artemis-rod pointed at the hunter, preventing him from intervening.

Aiyora was quick to grasp the situation— Yuuki made a deal with the pureblood in exchange for the Zero life.

Wow! How romantic. The younger Kuran thought sarcastically. If Yuuki was truly a human Aiyora would have intervened. Since she isn't, there's no risk. So without feeling any further guilt Aiyora decided to entertain herself from the shadows. If anything, now she was more excited. Because once the deal falls through, Yuuki will return to her true form and God knows how Kaname and Zero would react to that.

Kaname— will be left to deal with his true fiancée.

Zero— on the other hand, will most certainly not even be able to accept the new reality.

Hmmm... that would be interesting.

Bottomline...

Aiyora was eagerly waiting for Yuuki to be bitten.

However...

The situation took a different turn and not in the favour of what the female Kuran was hoping for. Yuuki tried to use the immobilizing spell to stop Zero from attacking Shizuka. In return the latter became furious, realizing her pet has been tamed by another.

"It's not safe to be here, let's go!" A deep voice whispered. Followed by, a large hand came out of nowhere and grabbed her arm.

It took Aiyora a second to snap out and realize she was being led somewhere else by Kaname.

"Where are you taking me?"

"Somewhere safe!"

"But the drama was almost at the climax. Now I'll miss on the expression of Yuuki's face as Shizuka drinks Zero's blood and vice-versa." Aiyora his like a viper spitting venom.

Looking over the shoulder Kaname cast her an amused look but ignored her protest regardless. After all this wasn't the time to fulfill her childish demands.

"Why did you bring me here?"

Aiyora eyed the surrounding, her gaze suspicious. He brought her to a room located at the corner of the second floor. The female Kuran has been into this building several times to visit Maria in the last couples weeks. However never felt courageous enough to venture around.

When Kaname did not answer the first question, she moved onto the next.

"What is this place?"

"This was the first room I stayed in," he approached her from behind closing the gap between her back and his chest. "...after joining the academy."

"I see... but you still didn't answer my main question, why have you pulled me away from there and brought me here for a room tour? When our sister is a floor below, trying to diffuse a fight between a hunter and a pureblood."

Kaname sighed closing his eyes momentarily.

Aiyora turned, as she felt his aura change. She got the hunch, he was trying to tell her something, but couldn't bring himself to do so. Something was holding him off... but what was it?

"Kaname onii-sama..." she cupped a portion of his face and he further leaned into her touch. It seemed like he was holding onto everything by a thin thread.

"Is there anything I can help you with...?"

His eyes reopened.

"Aiyora... listen to me very carefully—" he got cut off to the sound of multiple gunshots. Follow by which floated in the strong smell of blood.

Both the pureblood in the room tensed. But only the younger one reacted.

"Shizuka-sama!!!"

Aiyora tried to run to the scene but Kaname grabbed her wrist and pulled her back . Making her back crash against his chest.

"What are you doing?! Lemme go!" She yelled during her attempt to try and to break free. But Kaname kept his hold intact. Signalling he wouldn't let her go anywhere. No matter what the circumstances were.

"Aiyora..." he whispered deeply into her ear. "I need your help."

"That's what I'm trying to do. If only you'd let me go." She spat.

Kaname further tightened his hold, making it almost painful.

"Shizuka is injured. If something happens to her, you'll have to answer to the council. There's already rape charges on your shoulder. If we don't do something fast, murder will be added too." Aiyora tried to show him the exact picture of the awaiting consequences if something does end up happening to the Hio pureblood.

"Can you hear them... her footsteps. She's coming here." There was a hint of warning in his voice.

"So let's go help her." She took another attempt to break free. The result remained unchanged.

"Not you, I will help her. However, I cannot do it without your cooperation."

"Fine tell me what do I do?"

"No matter what you see, you must stay clam. Under no circumstances make any form of noise that would draw attention. Can you do that for me... Aiyora?"

The female pureblood craned her neck to look at him. Her face was filled with fear and looked shaken up. What kind of help was he asking for?

"You sound like you're about to murder someone! And I will be the solo witness..." deep down she was praying for her words to remain as some random speculation.

He kissed her forehead and she understood he was evading the answer.

"If something happens to me—"

"What are say?!"

Ignoring her, he went on.

"— do not stick around. I left an envelope for you inside the second drawer of my bedside table. Take that, find Seiran and she will lead you from there."

"You're scaring me Kaname onii-sama. Why are you speaking like this, are you dying?"

Rather than answering Kaname closed his eyes and buried his face into her hair, holding her tightly to him. He inhaled her scent, memorizing it. Aiyora's heart slowed down as she put the pieces together.

Something bad is about to happen. A voice inside warned her.

In one quick movement Kaname moved them towards the window. It was so that she could make a quick escape when the time comes.

It was then, the words left the younger pureblood's lips even before she could comprehend its meaning.

"Please don't die Kaname—"

"Look what we have here... son of Kuran and daughter of Kuran Rido."

Shizuka made her presence known to them.

"You're bleeding baldly Shizuka-san. A hunter's weapon can be an incredibly dangerous thing. Even a pureblood's extraordinary healing power is restrained."

"Did interrupt a private moment?" Shizuka asked with a sly smirk.

"Actually I was waiting for you." Kaname was the one that replied.

Aiyora decided to act her age and not intervene between the adults.

"I see. Anyway, tell me something... why are you here?"

Kaname gave her the same reply he gave Aiyora earlier. "You see this is the first room I ever lived in, at this academy."

"Oh, well I really do like it. There's no one here to bother me."

Kaname agreed with her statement as the older female walked past them and marched to the window located straight ahead.

"Let me rephrase the question, why did you choose to come to this academy?"

"To repay a debt."

That answer puzzled Aiyora. She looked at Kaname but he avoided her stare and distanced himself.

"Plus it's also the perfect place to assemble all my pieces." In the following second he vanished and reappeared behind the older female. Leaving the younger one in deeper confusion.

"You see, the two of us probably have the same objective in mind right now. Shizuka-san, I'm just like you. I'll do anything... for the sake of the one I love."

Back in that room Zero and his twin continued to clash their swords while Yuuki watched helplessly. She tried to intervene earlier but Ichiru warned her of the consequences if she got in the way.

Ichiru was mad with rage. With each blow delivered, he revealed how he has hated living his life as the object of everyone's pity. Hio Shizuka was the only person, who saved him from the depth of loneliness. However... in the end she too only desired Zero.

At one point Ichiru successfully knocked his twin down on the floor and threw away his sword. Zero quickly looked to see if the sword was flying towards Yuuki. While Ichiru's cry in the background made him realize how similar both their situation was...

"I have been by her side this whole time but Shizuka-sama still doesn't look at me. I've stayed closer to her than anyone else..."

Zero continued to gaze at Yuuki, with his heart breaking to pieces.

Even now, when she looks at me, the only man Yuuki truly sees is...

And then out of the blue Kaname pierced his hand through Shizuka's chest. Aiyora placed both her hands to cover her open mouth. Anything to muffle the scream that was fighting to come out.

"You don't seem surprised Shizuka-san."

"I may not be, but she sure is."

Kaname could not bring himself to look at Aiyora's horrified face. He kept his gaze elsewhere. Blankly looking at nothing in particular.

"Going forward she will never see you the same way."

And when Kaname made no comment on that statement Shizuka proceeded to elaborate her own plan.

"To be honest when I first came to this academy, I also intended to take your life. The plan was to use Cross Yuuki as your assassin. But then I realized, your heart changed like the seasons. My disappointment soon turned to joy! My oh my what a target she is. Hitting her would wound not one but two Kurans. It was like hitting two birds with one stone. So I lured the same assassin to take her life instead... sadly that girl turned out to be useless."

Kaname remained quite. Aiyora had tears brimming her eyes. A deep silence fell between them which Shizuka broke after some time.

"You foresaw this... my healing powers have been restrained by the bullet and you're seizing this opportunity to tear out my heart. Knowing it would kill a pureblood like me."

The brunette pureblood then leaned in and bit into the silver-haired female's neck. The youngest member in the room stepped back till her back was stuck against a wall before sliding down and landing on the ground. Eyes still wide as saucer, hands still clasping her mouth and entire body convulsing.

"I find it very strange that in the end this is the way things have turned out. The first time I met you, you were a little boy. Who desired the same thing as me."

Kaname pulled his fangs back, a thin line of blood running down the corner of his lips. "That is one thing that has not changed." And with that said, he pulled his hand out removing her heart in the process.

With one hand he caught the woman's falling body while the other wiped away the blood off of his face.

"I will make sure your life is not wasted. I promise to find the very thing you hated the most and I will destroy it once and for all— those who twist our fate, the fate of the purebloods."

"You devoured another pureblood. You gained new powers but now an ominous future awaits you..." he gently placed her down on the ground and stood up straight.

"Only jet black darkness lies in your path now, Kuran Kaname."

"I'm well aware of that..." he said before walking over to Aiyora and gathering her in his arms.

"You did well my dear, now rest..."

Automatically her form slackened against him. Kaname felt Shizuka's eyes on him, he turned to her for one last time and found the woman to be smirking.

"The feelings are always so intense when the person belongs to another... isn't it?"

Kaname looked outside the window. It was better than engaging into this conversation.

"Those fools thought they could rest in peace leaving their precious daughter in your care... if only they could see... Anyway enjoy the temporary bliss while it lasts. But don't forget even if Kuran Rido lied, the only time he remained truthful was when he talked about how much he loved his precious daughter and the feelings she returned."

Meanwhile all vampires around started to feel the change in atmosphere. A pureblood vampire was dying. It left everyone of them with an overwhelming feel. Ruka who was still waiting for the Kuran prince at the ballroom, tensed. The former hunter Cross Kaien, felt the tension all the way from his office. Akatsuki who just stepped into the old moon dormitory building realized what has taken place. And Aidou Hanabusa stood outside the door with horror stricken face. Other than Aiyora, he was the only other witness to this unimaginable incident.

On the other hand, because of their blood-bond and due to his sharp vampiric ability Zero also sensed,

"Smell of blood just got stronger."

Hearing this Ichiru ran out in state of panic. Zero called him out and was about to follow but Yuuki caught him from behind.

"Listen, you don't know what's going on. I have to kill Shizuka. LEMME GO YUUKI!" Zero screamed but the girl did falter.

"You haven't told me what you're planning to do after you have killed her..." fear took over her face as she said the rest. "...what if... what she said is actually true? Is that really true...? When everything is finished you plan to end your life too? Answer me Zero!"

"Yes." He admitted, with no ounce of regret in his voice. "That's why everything you've been doing so far has been unnecessary."

"I only did it because I didn't want you to die Zero." She was on the verge of tears. Zero could not bear her pain for long. Immediately he pulled her into his arms and assured.

"Why Yuuki, why do you insist on doing this, you don't need to care for me so much. Moreover, I'm really glad nothing happened to you." He pulled back and instructed her to stay back.

"But Zero!"

"While it is true that I did wish to die along with that woman, but that's not what I want anymore." He looked at her one last time. "I'll be back, I promise."

And he ran out.

It doesn't matter who is in your heart Yuuki, I gave you my word, so I will return to your side.

Kaname placed the sleeping Aiyora onto the soft mattress of his bed and called Seiran.

The mentioned female appeared within the blink of an eye. All set to take in the the master's order.

"Clean her up throughly and change her into something comfortable."

Kaname instructed, taking off his own blazer.

"Kaname-sama, but what to be done with the dress?" Seiran asked noticing small splatter of blood here and there. "Shall I take it to wash?"

"No need, just burn it... along with that." He ordered, pointing a finger to the blazer on the floor, before he stepped inside bathroom to take a shower.
