Magical Origins
Author Note: Be warned, this is the longest chapter I have written in this story by far.
Year 4: The Quidditch World Cup
Harry wakes up as he stretches before he gets up. Today was a big day. It was the day of the Quidditch World Cup.
Artemis stirs as Harry smiles at her. He moves her hair out of her face, and she smiles as she snuggles upon him. Ever since she stayed for his birthday, the two have been like rabbits in the bed. Sirius would laugh at his godson banging the Wynter's heir.
Then Artemis laid the good news down to her family and to Harry.
She was pregnant.
Samuel Wynter wasn't angry over this fact. If anything, he was overjoyed.
Harry shook his head as he brought his mind back to the present. Artemis wasn't showing yet, she still had that perfect slim body. Harry placed his hand on her belly to feel the baby. Artemis' body didn't have any signs, but his child was growing inside of her. It seemed like her mother, Artemis wanted to have a child at a young age. Granted, she's not sixteen like her mother was when she was born. Instead, she's eighteen years old. He would have loved to watch Artemis swell into motherhood.
It was already set. Artemis child would be a legitimize Wynter. Harry would have a bastard child, but he would still raise and treat the child as his own.
The one thing that Harry wanted was to for him to be kept a secret that he was going to be a father. He didn't want things to get worse for Artemis as she was going to have his child.
Harry again shakes his head as he gets up and takes a shower.
The Black Manor was cleaned by all the House-Elves the Wynter's, Pearce's, and Morgan's had. The elves did a marvelous job. Instead of a dark and gloomy house, the house actually looks wonderful and pleasant.
Harry was given the master bedroom as Sirius took his old room.
Harry said nothing as he got up and took a shower.
He puts on his Slytherin Quidditch robes to show support of the winning the Finals at Hogwarts.
Harry walks down and sits down at the table. The House-Elves were all getting their meals ready.
"Thank you," Harry said as the elves give Harry his meal.
"You're up, pup," Sirius said as he comes down.
"Does Lupin not want to come?" Harry asks.
"He loves Quidditch, but he has other things to do," Sirius said slowly.
"The Morgan's and Tonk's are going to meet us at the campsite?" Harry asks.
"Yes. Both Edward and Dora are already of age and have the license to Apparate. So, they'll be meeting us at the campsite." Sirius said.
"That means that the Pearce's and Wynter's are coming with us," Harry said slowly.
"Hey!" Lily said as she comes down in her Gryffindor Quidditch robes.
"I wasn't excluding you out," Harry said.
"Good, I would have burned you if you had," Lily said as she sits down.
"Why so early?" Harry asks.
"Mostly to get good seats. Also, mostly to get a good campsite. Though most of the campsites would have been taken by now. Some people started camping the moment tickets went on sale. Though if what Fudge says is true, he got us a great campsite. So we should be good." Sirius said.
"Is it more intense than Hogwarts Quidditch Finals?" Lily asks eagerly.
"Way more. The stadium is going to hold over a hundred thousand witches and wizards." Sirius said.
"I can't wait," Lily said.
Some yawns could be heard as Ethan and Ruby Pearce walk down.
"Merlin, I hate waking up early." Ruby Pearce said.
Ava Wynter also walks down, looking a bit sleepy as well.
"When do we leave?" Harry asks.
"In an hour," Sirius said.
"It's not even dawn." Lily points out.
"No, it's not." Ethan Pearce said.
"How are we getting there?" Lily asks.
"Portkey. You're too young to apparate. Even if you manage to, you'll just get in trouble." Ruby Pearce said.
"By the way, Ava…" Harry said slowly.
"What?" She asks, looking at him.
"I hear you and Edward are getting married."
The moment he said that, her cheeks turn crimson.
"We are," Ava said softly.
"I'm happy for you. You two seem like a great match."
Ava blushed even more fiercely.
"And that is your Lord giving you his blessing." Samuel Wynter said as he walks down the stairs with his wife, Olivia Wynter.
Ava turns even more crimson.
"Is Artemis not up?" Olivia asks.
"No, I left her sleeping… should I have…" Harry said.
"Most of us are going to apparate. Only Sirius and Ethan are going to take the Portkey with you. I rather not take the Knight Bus there. I'm sure they're working overtime as it is." Samuel Wynter said.
"So other than me and Harry, who is going?"
"Lucas and Evelyn are going. They're both underage." Ruby Pearce said.
"Lucas was sorted into Ravenclaw. Where do you think Evelyn will end up?" Harry asks.
"Most likely, Hufflepuff. She's loyal to those that earn her trust." Ethan said.
"You would know," Ruby said with a smile.
"Eat up," Sirius said.
They ate a big meal knowing during the match it would be hard to get food if the match really was long then they didn't want to miss any of the action.
"Have you've ever traveled by Portkey?" Sirius asks.
"I have," Harry said.
"I haven't," Lily admitted.
"It's not like the floo. Instead, we use items to transport. In this case, we're using a rope since many of us need to go by portkey," Samuel said. "Most wizards don't even mess with apparition because of how tricky it is. They prefer brooms, safer, but slower."
Artemis yawns as she walks down the stairs.
"We almost ready?" Artemis said as she walks down the stairs.
"Eat some breakfast," Olivia said as she checks the bags.
"Who is in the World Cup?" Harry asks.
"Ireland and Bulgaria. Briton was flattened by Bulgaria in the semi-finals." Samuel said.
"It's almost time," Olivia said.
Sirius, Lucas, Evelyn Lily, along with Artemis and Harry, got up and grabs their bags.
"Here," Sirius said as he hands them money pouches.
They were a lot more galleons than usual.
"I take it we're going to be buying a lot of stuff at the World Cup," Harry said as he takes his.
"Yeah, a lot of promotions and shops are going there. Just be careful of scammers. I'm sure a lot of people are going to scam you into buying things that aren't real." Samuel Wynter said.
"It's a big problem at events like these. The Ministry tries to keep security tight, but people still find ways to walk away with hundreds of galleons." Ethan Pearce said.
"It's almost time," Olivia said again.
Harry grabs the rope as does the others.
"Three.… Two…. One." Olivia said.
Harry felt the tug pull him into the spinning vortex as he holds on to the portkey.
Harry lands on his feet as Lily falls straight on her ass.
Harry looks around and could see they were in a large clearing.
"Come on," Sirius said as he starts walking up the small hill. They quickly followed.
Harry could see thousands of tents over the horizon. It seemed to have stretched for miles. As far as the eye could see.
"Come on," Artemis said as they walked forward where a large stand was in front of the tents. Harry could see security was also present.
Several pops revealed Olivia and Samuel, along with Ethan and Ruby Pearce.
"Tickets," said a wizard at the ticket booth.
Everyone handed their tickets to the wizard as he waves his wand over them to see if they're legit. Harry didn't have to hazard a guess a lot of people tried to bring in forge tickets.
The wizards handed back the tickets.
"Name." The wizard said.
"Black," Sirius said.
"Black, surely not… Sirius Black?" The wizard said in shock.
"I'm not that serious." Sirius joked.
"Hold on…" The wizard said as he goes through parchments. "I see now, you have a party of…. fourteen?"
"That's right," Sirius said. "Though some party members will be arriving later," Sirius added.
"I see you have a reservation for a family-size tent, King Size, correct?"
"Yes," said Sirius.
"Here's your ticket." The wizard said, handing Sirius a blue ticket. "You're in section eleven… site is 753. Tent number is 11085."
Sirius took it and walked off. Everyone followed suit.
"Section eleven… section eleven…" Sirius mutters.
It took them nearly thirty minutes to find their tent. When they did, they all went inside and were surprised how large the tent was on the inside.
"Everyone finds yourself a bed," Samuel said as he drops his bag at the entrance.
Harry said nothing as he grabs a bunk and lays down. Lily grabs the bed next to him before Artemis could. However, Artemis climbs on top of Harry and lays down on him. Then she starts kissing him.
Harry kisses her back, knowing as a horny teenager, he couldn't resist a beautiful girl.
"Enough to you two," Olivia said as she whips her wand out. Artemis fell on her side beside Harry.
"Can we check out the shops?" Lily asks.
"Wait till everyone gets here. It's easy to get lost out here. Not to mention, trouble tends to follow people around." Samuel Wynter said.
"Also, Ludo Bagman wants to talk to us," Sirius said.
"I'm hungry," Lily said.
"We are too." The Pearce's children said.
"Perhaps, breakfast was too light." Ruby Pearce said.
"I guess we're all hungry," Olivia stated.
"Guess it can't be helped," Samuel said.
"We're not that far from the pitch. Perhaps we can get something from the stands." Lily said.
"Bring back food for everyone." Ruby Pearce said as Harry and Lily gets up. The two waved their goodbyes and walked out of the tent.
"You and Artemis," Lily said to him the moment they walked out.
"Jealous?" Harry said.
"Kind of. Though I wonder what kind of relationship you two have." Lily said.
Harry sighs.
"I wonder about that too," Harry admitted.
Harry and Lily said nothing more as they walked through the campsites. When they reached the concession stands, they immediately order as much food as they could. They also order food to be delivered to their tent, knowing they wouldn't be able to carry it back.
On their way back, Harry spotted many Hogwarts students who were at the game. He spotted Cho Chang, a pretty Asian girl a year above him in Ravenclaw at the campsite. Harry felt like a fool as he waved to her. He barely knew her, yet he had developed a crush on her. She was also a popular student in Ravenclaw as well as their star Seeker on the Ravenclaw Quidditch team.
Harry and Lily arrived back just in time to see all the food they order was being delivered.
The others were outside camp around a fire as Lucas and Evelyn Pearce were messing around.
"Did you two have a good time?" Samuel asks as Harry and Lily came over.
"Yeah," Harry said as he sits down.
Several people walk up, and Harry notices Tonks along with the Morgan's walking towards them.
"I see you guys made it," Sirius said as he smiles at them.
"Yeah, took us a while for the guard to be convinced we were your party." Henry Morgan said.
Isabelle and Edward said nothing as they came over. For Edward, he immediately sits down next to Ava.
"What does Bagman want?" Harry asks.
"Who knows. He's known for being a bit laid back. He's a good Quidditch player, or he was. One of the best Beaters Briton has ever had. Now he's the Head of Magical Sports and Games." Samuel said.
"Sounds like there is trouble," Harry said slowly.
"Bagman has… also has trouble with gambling. I understand he owes huge debts. I'm sure he'll try to get you all involved in the betting pool." Samuel said.
"The last thing we need is for you to start having trouble with the Ministry," Olivia said.
At that moment, Ludo Bagman walks up to them with a family in tow. The Weasley's.
"Greetings, I trust everything is going well?" Ludo Bagman asks as he sits down. The Weasley's all sit down though Ron glares hard at Harry before he does.
"Yes, I'm surprised the Ministry managed to get us such a good spot," Sirius said slowly.
"Well, we have to let bygones be bygones," Ludo chirped. "Besides, I'm sure the Ministry is kicking themselves for their stupidity."
"What are the Weasley's doing here?" Harry asks.
It was a blunt question and could be considered rude, but Bagman smiles at Harry.
"Arthur Weasley help my brother out when he was in a tight spot. As for thanks, he's sitting with me in the Top Box. Speaking of which, I understand you all are joining me. I'll be doing commentary." Ludo said happily. "Speaking of which, I've got people fluttering on the match. I've already got Roddy Pontner betting me Bulgaria will score first – I offered him a nice odd on that, considering Ireland's front are at their strongest I've ever seen all year – and little Agatha Timms has put up half her shares in her eel farm on a week-long match…" Ludo said happily.
Harry could see why he was warned. Bagman was trying to get everyone involved in a betting pool.
"Oh, let's say a Galleon on Ireland will win." Mr. Weasley said slowly.
"A galleon?" Bagman said, sounding disappointed. "Very well, any other takers?" Bagman asks.
"They're a bit young to be gambling." Mr. Weasley said as he referred to his children.
"We'll bet a hundred galleons each that Ireland will win… but Victor Krum will catch the Snitch." Fred and George said in a heartbeat.
"Boy, that's all your savings." Mr. Weasley said under breath. "Your mother –"
"Don't be a spoilsport, Arthur!" Ludo Bagman said. "They're old enough to know what they want! You reckon Ireland will win, but Krum'll catch the Snitch? What are the odds? Not a chance, boys, I'll even buy that fake wand you were telling me about earlier for five galleons." Bagman said happily. He pulls out a notebook and begins to write down the bet. He pulls out a piece of parchment and hands it to George, who safely tucks it away.
"By the way, Harry and Lily…" Fred and George said.
"What?" They said in unison.
"Are you two going to duel again? We've made a nice set of money of you two dueling."
"Since when have our duels made you rich?" Harry asks with a raised eyebrow.
"What are you guys up to now?" George asks with a grin.
"I'm up to seven wins, Lily has six," Harry said.
"You two going to duel when we get back to Hogwarts?" They asked.
"You want us to tell you beforehand?" Lily said slowly.
"It would help." They said.
"Lily will tell you if we're about to duel." Harry finally said.
Lily look a bit upset that she had to tell them when they would duel. Though even she couldn't deny dueling had started to become an attraction at Hogwarts as all the houses wanted to see, the two of them duel.
"By the way, can you guys keep an eye out for Barty Crouch? My Bulgarian opposite number's making things difficult, and it doesn't help that I can't understand a word that he's saying. Barty'll be able to sort it out. He speaks about a hundred and fifty languages." Bagman suddenly said.
"Mr. Crouch? He speaks over two hundred! Mermis, Gobbledegood, Troll…" Percy said.
"Anyone can speak Troll," Fred said, interrupting Percy, who flushed at his brothers' behavior. "You just have to point and grunt."
Percy threw Fred a nasty look as he didn't like being interrupted.
"Any news of Bartha Jorkins yet, Ludo?" Arthur Weasley asks.
"Not a word." Bagman said.
"I think it's time we got the Aurors involved searching for her. With Pettigrew lose, there is a good chance she could have run into him." Olivia Wynter said.
"Oh, she'll turn up. One time she wondered into my office in October, thinking it was July." Bagman said.
"I still think it wise to have people look for her," Samuel said.
"Barty Crouch keeps saying that," Bagman admitted. "If she doesn't show up on Monday, I'll start having people look for her. Awe – Speak of the devil! Barty!"
A wizard just apparated near them. He quickly walks over to them.
"Pull up a bit of grass, Barty." Ludo Bagman chirped.
"No, thank you, Ludo," Crouch said in an even tone. "I've been looking for you everywhere. The Bulgarians are insisting we add another twelve seats to the Top Box."
"Oh, is that what they're after?" Bagman said in a cheerful tone. "I thought the chap was asking to borrow a pair of tweezers. A bit strong accent."
"Mr. Crouch, would you like some tea?" Percy said in a hushed tone.
"What? Oh yes, please, thank you, Weatherby." Crouch said.
Harry and Artemis, along with Fred and George, tried hard not to burst out laughing at Percy's nickname.
Harry gets up and walks inside with Lily behind him. He didn't want to stay with the adults talking about work. Fred and George didn't miss a beat and quickly gets up to follow them.
"Can't stand them talking about work. We're supposed to be having fun," said George.
Hermione walks in, followed by Ron and Ginny. Artemis walks in with Lucas and Evelyn Pearce.
"The kids left." Bagman said, sounding disappointed.
"I don't blame them. They don't want to hear about our troubles at work. They're here for Quidditch. Leave them be," Olivia said, calmly.
"Don't touch anything, Weasley, this is not your tent," Harry warned Ron. Ron was looking at some unique items that clearly were too expensive for him. He grumbles as he gets up and walks to the kitchen.
"Out of the kitchen, Weasley. This is not your tent, and I'm not about to have you eat our food!" Harry barks.
"Yeah, Ron, out of the Kitchen!" Fred and George said in unison.
Ron grumbles as he walks away.
"So, you guys think Ireland will win, but Krum 'ell catches the Snitch," Harry said.
Having played against Fred and George in Quidditch before, he knew they were die-hard Quidditch fans.
"Yeah, Krum is considered to be the best Seeker in the world," Fred said.
"I'm surprised you didn't bet Harry. You could have made a fortune had you made the same bet." George said.
"I have a fortune. What's this I hear about a fake wand?" Harry asks.
Fred and George grew their mischief smiles. They slowly pull out a bag and reveal tons of sweets and what appears to be magical toys.
"We've been developing them for some time. Nearly six months now." Fred said as Harry looks at the products.
"Percy will flip when he sees them. No doubt, he'll tell mum about our inventions." George said.
"I think I should get in on this," Harry said slowly.
One thing about being a Great House was it meant taking time to invest in companies and businesses. Harry never really showed interest before, but even he could see how popular the idea of joke items would be. Fred and George were also naturally.
"We're going to start at Hogwarts to see how great these items sell. That's where the real market will begin." Fred said with a large grin.
"You want to start an investment?" They said together.
"I wouldn't," Ginny said with a warning look on her face. "There is no guarantee you'll see your money again."
"I can talk to Sirius about getting you guys a place in Diagon Alley to see your items. Though we need to see a good portion of the profit." Harry said.
"Ron, Fred, George, Ginny, we're leaving." Mr. Weasley said as he walks in the tent.
The Weasley's all got up and left.
"Wait." Artemis suddenly said, causing the Weasley family to stop in their tracks. "Empty your pockets, Weasley."
"Who?" Fred and George said.
"Your brother," Artemis said.
"I don't have to do anything for you." Ron snarls.
Artemis whips out her wand and points it at Ron.
"Accio!" She shouted as several items flew out of Ron's pocket.
"Stealing now. Have you no shame?" Harry said.
"I would have thought you have raised your son better, Arthur," Olivia said as she enters the tent.
"I'll speak to him," Arthur said, giving his son a hard look.
"They don't need it." Ron protested.
"You don't go around stealing what's not yours. Do you do this at school too?" Arthur said as he grabs his son and walks out.
"He actually thought he could steal from us?" Harry said in amusement.
"We'll lock up the tent before we go. It's safer that way too." Samuel said as he enters.
Nothing much was said as they all got ready for the Quidditch match.
"So, what did Weasley do to get the best tickets for the World Cup?" Harry asks as they made their way to the stadium.
"No idea. It doesn't help that his family will be seated next to us. They really need better robes." Samuel said.
"The twins were wearing decent robes." Artemis pointed out.
"That came from two years of the betting pools at Hogwarts," Harry replies.
"Yeah, that's true," Artemis said with a laugh.
"They did bet over a hundred galleons each. That means they've won a large sum of money with their betting pool." Lily said.
Harry looks around and could see people selling merchandise.
"Get your onmioculars! A bargain… ten galleons each!" The sells men said.
"Those would be good to have," Artemis said as they all bought one.
They reached up the stands and quickly grab food as well as Irish and Bulgaria flags. They reach the Top Box, where several high and essential wizards were climbing up the steps. Their pouches were incredibly lighter.
Bagman was seen shaking hands with several wizards. Then to Harry's surprise, the Minister of Magic Cornelius Fudge walks up.
"Greetings, Lords, and Lady's." Fudge said as he smiles at them.
"Minister." Sirius and the other adults said.
"Prime seats, best in the house. I trust you understand these were not easy to get ahold of for you." Fudge said quietly.
"Don't worry, Minister, a little excitement doesn't hurt anyone," Sirius said slowly.
"Yes, of course." Fudge said. "Harry Potter, I'm glad to say we are meeting under better circumstances."
"As am, I Minister," Harry said in a polite tone. Harry didn't like Fudge, he had the feeling Fudge was too much of an idiot.
"Here comes the Weasley's," Artemis said. The Weasley's were sprouting Irish Green. They all had green face paint on and green scarfs. Mr. Weasley was carrying an Irish flag.
"Awe, Arthur, good you're here. I trust you had no trouble?" Fudge said.
"No, no trouble," Arthur said, giving Ron a hard look.
"This section will be filed by several members of the Wizengamot as well as other Lords and Lady's with their families and Vassals." Fudge said quickly.
Fudge wasn't lying, Harry could see countless wizards and witches, wearing expensive robes starting to take their seats all around them.
Harry looks around, and right behind him, he could see a strange little creature holding its face as if it was afraid.
"A house-elf," Harry said slowly.
"Mr. Crouch's Elf," Percy said.
"What's your name?" Harry asks, kindly.
The little elf slowly looks up and gulps.
"Winky, sir."
This had to be a female.
"You almost look like him, Dobby," Harry replies.
"I know, Dobby. I hear how he is your servant now." Winky said slowly.
"Yeah, he really wanted to stay with me," Harry said slowly.
"Awe, here comes Lucius." Fudge said, beaming.
The moment he said that all heads turn to Lucius Malfoy, Narcissa Malfoy née Black and their son Draco Malfoy. Harry turns his head to look at the Malfoy family.
Fudge reached out his hand, and Lucius shakes it.
"Minister, good to see you," Lucius said with a smile.
"Nacrissa!" Sirius said as he stands up.
"Sirius!" She said in surprise.
"I trust you're well, cousin," Sirius said as he embraces her. She looked a bit shock but knew better than to challenge Sirius.
"Yes, things have been going well," Narcissa said as Sirius lets go of her.
"Of course, you know Sirius Black, terrible what happened to him." Fudge said slowly.
"It was a relief to know Black did not betray the Potters," Lucius said with a smile.
"Yes, of course, this is his party. Some of which I'm sure you know." Fudge said.
"Of course, I am not surprised to see them with you, Sirius," Lucius said as he looks at the Wynter's, Pearce's, Morgan's, and Tonks. He locks eyes for a moment with Harry before turning to Lily. Nacrissa face almost showed instant hatred towards Lily. The Malfoy's hatted muggle-borns. Lily didn't miss a beat and glares right back. Her orange eyes blazing with fury as if she was challenging them to do something.
"I believe you know Arthur Weasley." Fudge said, ignoring what was going on.
This caused the Malfoy's to break the eye lock they had with Lily and turn to see Arthur Weasley and his children sitting there.
Lucius and Arthur gave each other a hard stare down before Lucius spoke.
"Merlin's beard, Arthur Weasley in the Top Box. What did you have to sell to get up here? Surely your house couldn't afford a single ticket." Lucius said in a whisper.
Arthur said nothing as he clutches his teeth.
"Lucius has donated a large sum of gold to Saint Mungo's, I invited him here as my guest." Fudge said.
"How…" Arthur said as he tried hard not to speak his mind. "How generous."
Fudge didn't seem to have realized what was going on. He appeared to be under the impression that everyone was getting along.
The Malfoy's said nothing more as they took their seats.
Bagman walks up to them.
"It's almost time, is everyone ready?" Bagman said, looking around the pitch.
"I believe so." Fudge said as he sits down.
"Sonorus!" Bagman said as he points his wand to his throat. "Welcome witches and wizards to the sixteenth Quidditch World Cup Finals!" Bagman told in a booming voice. The fans erupted in cheers. It seemed like a wave of flags had suddenly flown up as one. Bulgaria and Irish colors lite up the stadium.
The magical screen that was showing advertisement of Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans disappeared and showed instead Bulgaria 0 – Ireland 0.
"Please welcome… the Irish Team! Presenting, Connolly! Ryan! Troy! Mullet! Moran! Quigley! Aaaaand – Lynch!" Bagman said as the Irish Players flew into the stadium from above. They circle the pitch once with their arms raised before they stop in the middle.
"Here comes the Bulgarians!" Fred shouted.
The Irish scattered as the Bulgarians flew in.
"And making a spectacle appearance as always the Bulgarians Quidditch Team! Ivanova! Zograf! Levski! Vulshanov! Volkov! Aaaaaand Krum!"
"Krum! Krum! Krum! Krum! Krum!" The stadium shouted as Victor Krum was doing a handstand on his broom before getting back on. He stops and raises his fist in the air as the stadium explodes in cheers.
"Please welcome the referee, coming all the way from Egypt. Acclaimed Chairman of the International Association of Quidditch, Hassan Mostafa!"
A polite applauded was giving to the referee.
Two people walk on the pitch carrying a large trunk. It was shaking violently as everyone was screaming for the game that was about to begin.
The referee gave the signal as everyone begins to line up. The captains shook hands, and everyone took their position. The wizards drop the trunk and pulls out their wand. The spell caused the trunk to open; the two Bludgers launch themselves into the air.
Harry and Lily spotted it for a brief second, the Golden Snitch took off and disappeared into the stadium.
The wizards wave their wand, and the Quaffle was launch into the air.
"The Quaffle is released… and the game begins!" Bagman shouted.
The Irish players were moving across the pitch at high speed. They were passing the Quaffle back and forth while dodging the Bulgarians and the Bludgers. All Bagman could do was call out their names as they pass the Quaffle around.
It was Quidditch, as Harry has never seen before.
"Troy scores!" Bagman shouted as Troy flew across the pitch in a lap of honor with his arm in the air.
This was the first of many goals for Ireland.
They not only had a good defense but good offense as well.
When the score was sixty to nothing, Victor Krum moved near Lynch before suddenly going into a dive. Bagman called out Victor Krum's sudden move as Lynch pushed his broom to follow Krum.
"They're going to crash!" Hermione screams as they neared the ground.
She was only half right, at the last possible second, Victor Krum pulled up, and Lynch hit the ground at full speed.
"Ireland calls for a full timeout!" Bagman called as the whistle blows. "as healer's rush to the field to check on Aidan Lynch!"
Krum was now circling the air, looking for the Snitch without worrying about Lynch getting to the Snitch.
"Thirty seconds till the game reassumes." Bagman called out.
Lynch apparently was fine, but just shaken. He got on his broom and takes off again.
The game reassumes as the fans scream themselves hoarse.
After nearly fifteen minutes of gameplay, Ireland had pulled ahead with a considerable lead. It was a hundred and seventy to ten.
Knowing full well things were never done personally, but things happen. Fouls started to get committed as Bulgaria was beginning to get desperate.
That was until Victor Krum went into a dive again. Lynch hesitated but quickly follows.
Harry knew at once this was the real deal. Krum had seen the Snitch.
"They're going to crash!" Hermione screams again.
Again she was half right. Krum pulls up from his dive with the Snitch caught firmly in his hand. Lynch hit the ground with a tremendous force; he landed on the ground and did not get up.
The magical screen now read Bulgaria 160 – Ireland 170
"Ireland wins!" Bagman shouted. "Victor Krum catches the Snitch – but Ireland Wins – Merlin's Beard! I don't think any of us saw that coming!"
"Why did he catch the Snitch for? The idiot?" Ron shouted.
"Because he knew they weren't going to catch up. He wanted to end the game on his terms." Harry said as he pokes Ron in the head.
"Why you…" Ron snarls as he attempts to climb over his seat and attack Harry. His father and older brothers pull him back.
"Behave, Ron, everyone is watching." They said. Harry smirks at Ron, who sat there fuming.
"It ended too soon!" Harry said once they were back in the tent.
"It was a good game," Artemis said as she sits down.
A loud scream was heard.
"Seems like the Irish are getting out of hand," Edward said.
At that moment, Sirius enters the tent.
"It's not the Irish. Everyone grab your things." Sirius orders. It was rare to hear Sirius speak in seriously.
Harry grabs his bag as Artemis and Edward wave their wand as their belongs flew into their bags.
"Artemis, Edward… you're in charge. You take the kids back to the Portkey and use it immediately. You return to Grimmauld Place at once!" Samuel said in a stern voice. The adults pulled out their wands as more screams echoed in the tent.
"Go!" Olivia shouted as the adults disappeared in the crowd.
"Everyone, grab hands, and don't let go," Artemis said as she grabs Harry's hand. Harry grabs Lily.
It was then they saw it.
Black robe individual's wearing a strange mask. They were firing spells into the crowd and upon tents.
"Come on," Edward said as he leads the group through the crowd.
They fled through the crowd and into the forest. It was then Ron Weasley knocks Harry down.
"Watch it!" Ron snarls as he kicks Harry.
Harry whips out his wand and snaps it at Ron, who flies backward and lands painfully.
Harry gets back to his feet and looks around the forest, but he could no longer see anyone. Lily quickly appeared by his side, but they were left alone, and the forest was full of screaming people trying to get away from the chaos and destruction.
"Great," Harry mutters.
"Morsmordre!" A voice suddenly shouted.
A skull suddenly appeared in the night sky.
The moment the ghastly skull was seen by everyone, screams echoed all through the forest. It created panic like never before. Wizards suddenly appeared.
"Stupefy!" they shouted. Harry hits the deck, as did Lily. Ron wasn't so lucky. He got hit and falls on the ground, stunned.
Barty Crouch said nothing as he walks forward.
"Which one of you did it!" He demanded. He points his wand at the three students.
"Barty, they're kids." A witch said.
"Which one of you fired the Dark Mark?" Barty Crouch said, ignoring the witch.
"Stop," Tonks said as she walks forward.
"Harry, why aren't you with the others." She asks.
"Weasley thought it would be a good idea to tackle me and attack me," Harry said, pointing to Ron, who was still stunned on the ground.
"Rennervate!" Tonks said, pointing her wand to Ron.
Ron walks up and slowly looks around.
"Did you fire the Dark Mark?" Crouch demanded.
"No, Potter did!" Ron shouted.
Harry kicks Ron in the back, causing him to yelp in surprise.
"You know full well that I had nothing to do with that. Stop accusing me of things I don't do!" Harry snaps. "That's also for kicking me!" Harry added.
"Barty Crouch, stand down!" Samuel Wynter said as he walks forward.
"Harry, what are you…"
"Weasley attacked me in confusion," said Harry.
Samuel turns to Ron, who suddenly paled.
"Did you attack Harry Potter?" He growled.
"We simply ran into each other," Ron mutters.
"Don't lie, Ron, you did attack Harry!" Lily said.
"Potter is the one behind this attack!" Ron suddenly shouted.
"Again, with your lies! I know all about you, Ron Weasley." Samuel Wynter said in a harsh tone. "The Board has heard repeated stories of how you lie so you can get Harry Potter expelled from Hogwarts. We have a full case on you. Should I expel you now and save the Board future trouble?" Samuel said.
Ron said nothing as he looks down on the ground.
"This can wait, the Dark Mark was fired in this area!" Tonks said, bringing everyone back to the matter at hand.
"We heard a voice, a man's voice… just over that ridge." Lily said, pointing in the direction where the voice came from.
"I doubt anyone is there. If they were like the rest of the Death Eaters, that person disapparated the moment they fired the Dark Mark. Still, it would be wise to search the area. Follow me Harry," Samuel said as Harry and Lily follow him.
"That Weasley really needs to be put in place," Harry said.
"Yes he does, I'll be speaking to Dumbledore about this fact," Samuel said.
They said nothing as Samuel leads Harry to the Portkey.
"Thank goodness, I was worried…" Artemis said as Harry walks up to them.
"Take the Portkey and return home, we'll be home shortly," Samuel said as he turns and leaves.
Harry said nothing as he grabs the Portkey feels the tug pulling them all in.
Author Notes: I hope everyone enjoyed the chapter. As I stated, this is the longest chapter I've written. Ron's really got a sick obsession with Harry being evil. Things are moving in motion, as the Fourth Year begins.
