If Everyone Cared by Bright-Scales

'From underneath the trees, we watch the sky. Confusing stars for satellites. I never dreamed that you'd be mine, but here we are. We're here tonight.'

'Singing Amen, I'm alive. Singing Amen, I'm alive.'

Sora sat on the wet shore of Destiny Island, looking up at the sky. None of the stars blinked out anymore. It was over, all of it. But still, good people had gotten hurt in the process. And a good person, heart or no heart, had died. Disappeared along with the darkness. Weather the goodness was on purpose or accidental, it still happened. He was still gone.

'If everyone cared and nobody cried. If everyone loved and nobody lied. If everyone shared and swallowed their pride. We'd see the day that nobody died. And I'm singing..'

'Amen I, I'm alive. Amen I, I'm alive.'

'If only we could of pushed away our differences, just worked together.' Sora paused. What was he thinking? No, as long as there was a single heart out there, there would always be darkness. It would never go away. A paradise like that would never exist on any world. There would always be a 'Ansem' or 'Xemnas' to ruin it.

Just at that moment Kairi came down to the beach and sat down next to him. She lay her head on his shoulder, following his gaze up at the sky. After a bit, she turned to him and asked, "What are you thinking?" He just gave a small smile and continued to look out at the sky.

'And in the air the fireflies. Our only light in paradise. We'll show the world they were wrong, and teach them all to sing along.'

'Singing Amen, I'm alive. Singing Amen, I'm alive.'

"It's Axel again, isn't it?" Kairi sighed. "It wasn't your fault, you know that. Right?"

Sora just sat here until he finally answered, "Yes, it was. There were other ways. He didn't have to..." he stopped. He couldn't finish. It was to hard to say.

Kairi sighed, "It was his choice, Sora. He didn't have to do that, but he did! It was his choice and you can't change that."

"I don't know why I'm so effected by it! I barely knew him!"

"Maybe it's the fact that he died helping you?"

' 'If everyone cared and nobody cried. If everyone loved and nobody lied. If everyone shared and swallowed their pride. We'd see the day that nobody died. If everyone cared and nobody cried. If everyone loved and nobody lied. If everyone shared and swallowed their pride. We'd see the day that nobody died.'

'I watched you die,' thought Sora, 'and there wasn't anything I could do. I never felt so useless in my life. I couldn't do a thing, I felt so small.'

'As we lie beneath the stars, we realize how small we are. If they could love like you and me, imagine what the world could be.'

Sora gave a small laugh. Kairi looked at him with confusion. "Well it's just that, Axel was a nobody. But the passion he had. I think I know why Roxas was so fond of him now."

Kairi just smiled and set her head back on his shoulder, then they got lost in their own thoughts as the starred up at the clear night sky.

'If everyone cared and nobody cried. If everyone loved and nobody lied. If everyone shared and swallowed their pride. We'd see the day that nobody died.'

'If everyone cared and nobody cried. If everyone loved and nobody lied. If everyone shared and swallowed their pride. We'd see the day that nobody died.'
