Magical Origins
Author Notes: This chapter is very long. It could easily be worth two chapters. Over 13K in words. I hope everyone enjoys the chapter. I got a question since Harry has fucked Artemis Wynter, I'm wondering if he should with Olivia. Get the mother-daughter package deal.
I got a surprise for all of you who read this chapter. Something long overdue.
Year 5: The Hearing
July was going by rather quickly. Before Harry knew it, his birthday had arrived. At fifteen years old, he was nearly a man now.
Usually, the day was meant for happiness and joy.
It wasn't.
A letter from the Ministry of Magic came for Harry. Explain he was expelled for using magic on Muggles and was now expelled from Hogwarts. Wizards from the Ministry of Magic would arrive shortly to destroy his wand.
Ron had a smug look on his face when he heard the news.
Harry was gathered in the main study after Sirius gave it to him to hold his meetings. He was seated in the chair as his Vassals were standing before him. Lily looked a bit nervous.
"The Ministry of Magic cannot enter this manor, can they?" Harry asks.
"No, they can send letters, as long as they're not cursed or jinxed. But they cannot enter the manor." Samuel said.
"Any idea why they sent me this letter?" Harry asks.
"No idea. I can't get anything from the Ministry. Normally these documents are allowed to be seen by the House of Lords. However, Fudge hasn't released anything yet." Samuel said.
The door opens, and Veronica Gorlosien walks in.
"Any news?" Harry asks.
"From what my sources tell me. The Ministry of Magic has 'eyewitnesses' that saw you attack several muggles in a muggle park." Veronica Gorlosien said. "Dumbledore is speaking to Fudge at this moment. He is explaining to Fudge that he cannot carry out the sentence before the verdict. Fudge is really hard to press about his 'evidence' being absolute."
"These eyewitnesses, they're Blanche, aren't they," Harry stated. It wasn't a question; it was a fact Harry needed to be confirmed.
"They are indeed. That will hardly matter to Fudge. He's just happy he can do something to expel you." Veronica Gorlosien said.
"It will be hard press to counter the Minister terms if he has eyewitnesses to the trial," Samuel said.
"Yes, well, fortunately for us, we do have friends. I have already got the perfect alibi for you and your family. You were in the Leaky Cauldron all summer. I already got Tom the Bartender to vouch for you that you have not left the Leaky Cauldron or have ventured into the Muggle world. He has already agreed to testify on your behalf." Veronica Gorlosien said.
"That was smart thinking," Samuel said.
"The Minister is looking for an excuse to prove that Harry Potter is an attention seeker and a liar. So whatever you do, do not mention the Dark Lord or Death Eaters. Your alibi is simply. You were staying in the Leaky Cauldron all summer. I got Tom the Inn Keeper as well as several shopkeepers to verify this fact. As well as two dozen eyewitnesses. All who can vouch you were at the Leaky Cauldron at the time of these attacks." Veronica Gorlosien said.
"I can do better," Fleur said in her best attempt to speak in English. Harry waves his wand over her and places an English translation spell on her. "I can say Harry was visiting my family and me during the times of these attacks. I can easily get a few eyewitnesses to vouch he was there as well as the French Minister of Magic."
"Turn this into an international scandal. Fudge wouldn't dare call the French Minister a liar." Samuel said.
"Also, it's harder to argue against foreign political powers. Fudge could really start a war if he's not too careful. Not even he would overstep his bounds." Olivia said.
"Do the Delacour's have that kind of power?" Harry asks.
Fleur nods her head.
"We're one of France's twelve great families. My family frequently meets with our Minister of Magic." Fleur said.
"This could actually work in our favor," Samuel said.
"Indeed. Fleur Delacour, how soon can you arrange this?" Veronica asks.
"Give me a day," said Fleur.
"You sure the French Minister will help us?" Harry asks.
Fleur nods her head. "He will. He has always believed You-Know-Who would always come back. When Dumbledore announces it, he took it to heart immediately. All his staff is known for fighting the You-Know-Who and the Death Eaters in the previous war. Plus, he's been a friend to my family for years." Fleur explains.
Harry nods his head.
No sooner had she said that another Ministry owl appeared.
Harry read the letter and realized that the Minister of Magic had agreed to withhold his expulsion for a discipline hearing on the twelfth of August at nine o'clock in the morning.
"So, two weeks. That's a short notice. Normally a month is prepared unless they think the individual is a flight risk." Artemis said.
"Is Weasley still jumping for joy?" Harry asks. He was, of course, referring to Ron Weasley.
"He is. He was asking if he can have your room when you're expelled. I nearly cursed him when I heard him say that." Artemis said.
"I don't understand, why don't we simply tell the truth and say Harry was here all summer?" Lily asks.
"Because the Minister of Magic would dismiss our testimony as eyewitnesses. This is Fudge's attempt to discredit and ruin Harry Potter." Samuel said. "If we bring in our foreign allies, and make this inter-region incident, then Fudge will have no choice but to dismiss the charges. He wouldn't dare accuse the French Minister of attacking people on his own soil. It could start a war."
"If the French Minister claims Potter is innocent and vouches for him being in France, then the charges will be dropped, and we can instead discredit Cornelius Fudge," Olivia said.
"Is it that big of a deal?" Lily asks.
"Very much so," Olivia said, nodding her head.
"We have the date. Now we need to meet with the French Minister to explain the situation to him." Samuel said.
"There is one thing that bothers me," Lily said in confusion.
"What is it?" Olivia asks, kindly.
"How could the Minister of Magic point fingers at Harry Potter. I've always heard they had ways of discovering if kids use magic outside of school." Lily said.
"Awe, I see, you're not supposed to know. Not yet, at least. All underage witches and wizards have a magical spell called the 'trace' upon them. It can track an underage witch or wizard, and reveals what kind of spell they used." Samuel said.
"It can figure out the magic we can use?" Lily said in shock.
"Not exactly. The 'trace' isn't that powerful. What it does do, is it can detect the spells being used around the person with the trace on them. For instance, in a magical household, if an adult were to use magic, then it would be detected. It would still go off, but they would get no warning. Not unless it was serious. Like an illegal curse. So those in magical households can get away with using magic. muggle-born students can't because they live in a muggle household…" Oliva said as she explains.
"Would automatically be guilty of using magic because they're the only ones there." Lily finished.
"That's right. It's a bit unfair, but in the past Children with magic tend to attract attention. Unwanted attention from muggles. This is put in place to protect magical children from any muggle who would hurt them for discovering what they were. That is why underage witches and wizards aren't allowed to use magic." Olivia said.
"I don't understand. If they can track anyone they want, does that mean we're not safe even here?" asks Lily.
"Oh no, there are laws. For one, the trace dispels when the person in question turns seventeen. The day they become an adult. There are a few exceptions. For example, the trace can be put on criminals to track their movements and make sure they don't break the law." Olivia said.
"The Improper Use of Magic Office is the one that deals with everyone who has the trace. They should have records of what kind of magic that the person in question magic they used." Samuel said.
"In other words, Fudge attempt to discredit and ruin Harry will fall apart. Because there are no records, Harry using magic outside of Hogwarts."
Harry stops to think. He did use magic outside of Hogwarts once before. Yet he didn't get a warning when he used it. It was back in his third year. When he blasted his aunt off her feet when she shot at him with a handgun.
"I have used magic outside of Hogwarts. Yet I didn't get a warning. Why?" Harry said. Everyone was surprised by this.
"You certain of this," Samuel said in surprise.
"Back when my aunt shot me. I used magic against her." Harry said.
"True, you should have gotten a warning. However, that can be wavered off since it was a life-threatening situation." Olivia said.
"Using magic in Grimmauld Place cannot be detected, even if one has a trace on them. The Fidelius Charm prevents any kind of detection from outside parties unless they know the secret. So Harry's magic he used while here cannot be detected." Samuel said.
"Is the Fidelius Charm really that powerful?" Lily asks.
"It's a Charm Mastery spell. Even those with a Charms Mastery Degree. It is a difficult spell to cast. Nothing can attack us unless the person knows the secret. Anyone who is within the barrier of the Fidelius Charm is given the best protection. Not even Fienfyre can harm us. The Dark Lord knows this and must be frustrated over this. This charm has always been an annoyance to him in the previous war." Samuel said.
"Yet, I wouldn't be surprised if Fudge attempts to use this fact against Harry," Isabelle said.
"He has no case. The Wizengomat would never convict him over this matter. In fact, the case was settled by the Department of Magical Law. No charges were press in return for the Dursley's giving up their rights to be your guardians. Truth is they should have been sent to prison for their attempt on your life." Olivia said.
"Could Fudge really attempt to bring this up and use it against me?" Harry said.
"He would only do so if he was desperate. This case alone is stupid. He really needs something to stick. He should know how formidable the Potter and Black Advocates are." Isabelle said.
"Advocates? That's another word for lawyer, right?" Harry said.
"Awe, that's right, muggles word went from Barrister to Lawyers. Pretty much, yes. For instance, we could easily afford the best. Isabelle Morgan is also a Barrister. She could easily represent you." Samuel said.
"Fudge wouldn't have done this unless he was sure he could get a conviction," Harry said.
"You mean he has something else in mind?" Henry Morgan said.
"It would make sense." Isabelle Morgan said as she puts her fingers under her chin to think carefully. "Fudge really needs something solid to stick. He would know this case could fall apart with our defense."
"What if he gave Harry the wrong time and date?" Lily said.
Everyone turns to look at her.
"The wrong time and date?" Harry said. He turns to his vassals. "Can he do that?"
"It's highly illegal. For one, the Minister of Magic could receive heavy infractions and fines if they are caught tampering with the court's date and time. It's also not something Fudge would dare do if he's caught." Isabelle said.
"Yet, we know Fudge is desperate to discredit and ruin Harry Potter. He would only do this if he thought he could get away with it." Olivia said, thoughtfully.
"I could check with Madam Bones. She may be strict, but she's fair. She's also going to be the judge in the hearing. She has to serve as one of the judges. Fudge has no right to appeal her seat." Isabelle said.
"Then let's do this," Harry said as he stands up. "Fleur reaches out to the French Minister and government. At the same, Isabelle, you check with Madam Bones to get the right time and date. Bring my letter to her to verify what is the real date and time. Lady Gorlosien, can you reach out to your contacts to get some dirt on Fudge and the 'eyewitnesses.'"
"I can vouch I was with you as well," Lily said.
Harry shook his head.
"No. If Fudge is targeting me, he'll first focus on my vassals. If you appear as an eyewitness, then Fudge will target you and discredit you as well. Even though muggle-borns are considered citizens of Briton's Magical Region, I'm willing to bet there are still many anti-muggle-born laws in place that would make things difficult. Like for instance, your testimony can be discarded." Harry said.
"He's right," Olivia said, giving Lily a serious look. "There are still laws in place that can dismiss a muggle-born testimony as 'evidence.'"
"I thought there are laws that grant rights to muggle-borns," Lily said.
"Lucius Malfoy is the source of the problem. Even though muggle-born rights and protection are being granted, he's been really vocal about accepting muggle-borns into the magical world. Trying to put more and more restrictions on them. He's even tried to get laws passed into tagging muggle-borns." Isabelle said.
"How is this acceptable?" Lily asks.
"It's been an ongoing argument for generations. After James married Lily, Lily used her new position to really push for muggle-born protection." Samuel said.
"Is that rare? For a muggle-born to marry into a Great House." Lily asks.
"It is sporadic. Most Nobles tend to marry purebloods or half-bloods. Most of the time, these are political marriages. Most of the time, it's the parents who arrange marriages. This notion is dying out as there are fewer and fewer arrange marriage. In fact, that last arrange a marriage that happened under House Potter, was… if I remember this correctly was between Henry and Isabelle." Samuel said.
"You two had an arrange marriage?" Lily said in surprise, looking at Isabelle and Henry Morgan. Even Harry was surprised. He would never have guessed it. They really seemed to love each other, and it didn't seem like it was an arranged marriage.
"Well," Isabelle said with a smile on her face. "Sorta."
"I'm five years older than Isabelle." Henry Morgan said. "If this marriage weren't really arranged, I would never have married her. I already knew her, we got along well. Her parents were… I guess the best word to say was associates with my parents. Even though the Morgan's were Vassals under House Potter and the Blacks were a Great House. House Morgan has a good reputation with magical items and making and fixing heirlooms. Even if they didn't like my parents, they still used their service." Henry said.
"So how did you two get married?" Harry asked.
"Because we went to the same social gatherings, I would see Isabelle a lot. It wasn't until her seventh year at Hogwarts that we began to get serious. Even though the marriage was political, it was merely the agreement between our parents to be wed, we most likely would have got married ourselves."
"It was getting that serious?" Harry said.
Isabelle nods her head.
"He was really mature. The boys I knew at the time were very immature. He would make me trinkets and other items to impress me. My ring (Isabelle holds up her left hand with her wedding ring, Harry could see was really put a lot of work into it as it was quite beautiful) was also made by him. He really put his best effort into it. The problem was the head of House Black at the time, Lady Walburga Black feared the Black family line would be purged. Sirius was disowned, and Regulus would soon die around the same time as her husband Orion did. Andromeda had already been disowning for marrying a muggle-born without her family's approval. Bellatrix was in trouble with the law even though she was respected for joining the Death Eaters. She was also respected for marrying a pureblood, even though that marriage was political. Noth Narcissa and Bellatrix gave up their rights to be the next head of when they married their husbands. That was left with two choices. Either my older brother Marius Black would seize the Black family titles, or it would be passed onto me, his little sister, and through me, my oldest son." Isabelle said.
"Why was your brother disregarded?" Harry asks.
"He was a pureblood idealist. He believes he stood above muggle-borns. That there was no muggle-born better than he." Isabelle said.
Harry felt there was more to this story than he realized.
"Then, what happens?" Harry asks with a grin.
"Well, the greatest muggle-born there was, was your mother, who was known at the time as Lily Evans. He challenges her to a sacred duel just after she graduated Hogwarts. Dumbledore would have never allowed that duel to happen at Hogwarts." Isabelle said.
"Sacred duel… what is that?" Lily asks, Harry was also curious he's never heard of this type of duel.
"It's one of the three types of duels that exist in the magical world. The first is the most common. The traditional duel. There is always a judge, and you can only cast non-lethal spells. Then there are shadow duels. These duels don't require a judge, and lethal spells are allowed. Then there is the sacred duel, which is like an oath both parties take before they duel. They're not as common as they once were. Basically, each party wagers something, and the winner gets the rewards, and the loser lives in shame. These were a common sight before the war with noble houses challenging each other for each other's secrets." Samuel said.
"My brother challenged Lily straight up. He wanted to prove to Lady Walburga that he was a pureblood champion. The challenge was simple. If Lily lost, she would be exiled from the magical world, and her memory of the magical world would be wiped. If she won, my brother offered her a thousand galleons reward and his life." Isabelle said.
"He offered his life!" Lily said in shock.
"I was just twenty-one years old at the time. My brother was twenty-five and also a formidable duelist. One of the best of our generation. Lily Evans was only seventeen and just graduated Hogwarts." Isabelle said.
"Why did he offer up his life?" Harry asks.
"Well, for a pureblood idealist who believed in pureblood supremacy, losing to a muggle-born was the greatest shame, disgrace, and dishonor you could have. My brother couldn't bear the thought of living with the shame of losing to a muggle-born student. Not only that, he wouldn't have inherited the Black Family titles and power. Losing a duel wasn't allowed in the Black Family, especially to a muggle-born. He would have been disowned. He challenges your mother… and he lost." Isabelle said.
Harry was surprised by this. He was always told his father was a formidable duelist. He didn't know his mother was skilled too.
"I had no idea my mother was a talented duelist as well. I always heard my father was a specialist in dueling." Harry said.
Sirius chuckles. He has yet to say anything, but he was clearly thinking of the memories of Lily and James.
"She was a talented duellist. Your father was, without a doubt, the better duelist, but your mother was more than capable of holding her own. Sent your father and me running a few times." Sirius said with a chuckle.
"Wait a minute, how did Sirius get reinstated as the Head of House Black if he was disowned?" Harry asks as the thought suddenly came across to it.
Isabelle chuckles.
"A week after my brother lost the duel and died. I was given the inheritance of the Black Family. Each Great Family has its own rules and customs regarding the Head of the Family. The Black Family, traditionally family head, was always a male. Lady Walburga Black became the head with the death of her husband. She had to choose a successor. With my cousins unable to inherit the family name and with Sirius being disowned and Regulus dead, I was the only choice she had left. Barely a month passed when she signs the inheritance paper that she agreed to a political marriage with House Morgan. Shortly after we were wed and everything was agreed upon, James married Lily!" Isabelle said with a smile.
"How was this a big deal?" Lily asks.
"James was a Noble and the Head of a Great House. The Morgan's were vassals of the Potters. Truth be told, this kind of thing shock the region. Most muggle-borns hide their status when they marry a pureblood or at least get into a Noble family. Not only was Lily Evans, a well-known muggle-born, but she had also become Lady Potter. In other words, House Black would be serving under a muggle-born for the first time in its history. Lady Walburga Black started believing she was cursed. She would die four years after the Dark Lord vanished. I know she felt guilty about what she did with Sirius for disowning him. She was proud he was responsible for killing Lily Potter. Or so she thought." Isabelle said.
"So how did Sirius get to be the Head?" Harry repeated.
"As Edward was of age and had the right to take the mantle and titles of Head of Black. He chose not to." Isabelle said.
Harry was surprised by this.
"Why?" Harry asked.
"It wasn't something I wanted. Granted, it would have given me power and the Head of the Black family, it just would have meant more paperwork than I wanted to deal with. Two years ago, when we learn Sirius was innocent of his crimes and we were working on getting him exonerated. My mother helped me prepare to veto Lady Walburga's disownment of Sirius Black and to pass the inheritance to him as well." Edward said.
Harry could only smile.
"I bet she's rolling in her grave," Harry said.
"Knowing my mother, she is indeed," Sirius said with a knowing smile.
"We've wasted enough time here. Let's get to work." Harry said.
They all got to work immediately.
Fleur immediately reached out to the French Minister, and he agreed to testify on Harry's behalf. He even got his cabinet and other French Nobles to agree to testify. Also stating many times that he's felt Fudge was too much of an idiot and he's never liked him.
Isabelle talked to Madam Bones to verify the date and time. According to her, Fudge wanted to have it as soon as possible. Which is why the date was August Twelfth at nine o'clock in the morning.
Fleur was spending time with Harry explain what her manor looks like and some of her family history. Harry couldn't meet with the French Minister yet, as he would arrive on the day of the hearing.
Yet Harry and Lily were sure Fudge was still going to pull something to ruin Harry's chances. The Order of the Phoenix, at least those that work in the Ministry of Magic and in the Department of Magical Law, was keeping a close eye on Fudge. So far, they reported Fudge wasn't really tampered with the courts in any way.
Harry always had a sixth sense when it came to trouble. His gut was telling him, nothing about the court date was as it appeared to be.
Isabelle Morgan was visiting Madame Bones to see if the charges could be dropped. Percy Weasley, who loves being a prick to everyone, would show up to get her to leave. Isabelle challenge Percy claiming the 'Minister' had no proof of the crime. Yet Percy gloated in saying that they had enough evidence for Harry to be expelled from Hogwarts, and his wand would be snap. Madam Bones then question Percy, demanding to see the 'evidence' as all evidence, in any case, must be present to her. Percy's ears would turn a shade of red, but he would regain his compulsory in claiming she can appeal to the Minister for the evidence.
Madam Bones, however, got the last word. Telling Percy that the evidence must be submitted to her a week before the disciplinary hearing or the charges would be dropped.
This caused Percy to lose his smile. He knew full well, not even the Minister of Magic had rights to overrule the Head of the Magical Law.
So when the week came, and Fudge admitted the 'evidence' to Madam Bones, she questions him further. She wasn't allowed to share the case with Isabelle Morgan, but she did say the case was 'questionable' in the Minister's favor as the Wizengamot may not convict Harry with the evidence they have gathered.
The eyewitness, on the other hand, was the real trick. Madam Bones didn't know who the eyewitness was. Fudge refused to present his eyewitness to the Department of Magical Law for 'security reasons' as he said. Madam Bones told Isabelle depending on the eyewitness testimony, she couldn't foresee the outcome. Though she was confident, there would be no conviction.
Harry was trying to figure out who the eyewitness was.
The day before the hearing, it was Veronica Gorlosien, who finally got the answer.
Harry looks at the profiles.
Two eyewitnesses.
Jase Santiago and Macie Baxter.
Both were known Blanche members. Both also had a criminal record. Theft, scams, even vandalism.
Harry had no doubt that they were testifying in return they would get their criminal records expunged.
The Ministry of Magic started working at six o'clock in the morning. However, the court would open at eight o'clock.
Harry looks at Isabelle, who was getting her case together. The alibi was all together, and sworn statements from the French were already in.
"What do the French want in return for this?" Harry asks, worrying this would cost him something big.
"I ask Fleur Delacour the same thing," Isabelle said. "The Delacours are doing this as a way to repay you for saving their daughter's life in the second task. If anything, it's going to cost them a couple of votes in their House of Lords meeting."
"What can you tell me about the Delacours?" Harry asks.
"They're a noble house and are one of the twelve families that rule the French Region. I understand they control the fashion sense and some of the food of the French Region. They have five Vassals under them. They didn't do anything in the last war, and urge the French to close off their borders to people fleeing from the Dark Lord." Isabelle reported.
"You mean they urge France to deny refuges," Harry said in surprise.
"That is correct. It wasn't done out of spite. If anything, they had a lot of sympathies for people who were fleeing from the Death Eaters. They were a few places people were able to hide from. The problem was, there was no information on who was a Death Eater and who was a refuge at the time. They feared if they accept refuge, the Death Eaters will follow, and France would be plunged into chaos." Isabelle said.
Harry looked outside and realized it was a big concern. Truth be told, it was an awkward position they were in. Fleur had to be young, maybe three or four years old when the war ended.
"I'm curious, how did the Ministry catch the Death Eaters after Voldemort vanished," Harry asks.
Isabelle didn't flinch at the sound of the name. She held herself true, but her eyes said she wished he hasn't said his name.
"Some Death Eaters came forward. Lucius Malfoy told the Ministry of Magic he was placed under the Imperius Curse to act under the Dark Lords' orders. With You-Know-Who gone, he claims the curse was lifted. He gave some names of associates of Death Eaters. It was tough for him to walk free. It looked like he was going to spend some time in jail. Narcissa Malfoy appeal to me for help to get her husband to walk free. Needless to say, House Malfoy owed me favors for ten years, and I was really able to keep House Malfoy on a leash for ten years. It really pissed off Lucius Malfoy." Isabelle said.
"What do you mean?" Harry said.
"For ten years, I controlled his votes in the House of Lords," Isabelle said. "He didn't like that as he really wanted to control his own votes."
"Why so long?" Harry asks.
"Because that's how long his sentence was going to be," Isabelle said. "Narcissa didn't want that. They had a son, Draco Malfoy. Narcissa didn't want her son to grow up without a father. Perhaps, I was foolish. Lucius Malfoy used this time to be all buddy-buddy with Cornelius Fudge. Perhaps I should have done the same."
"Fudge is an idiot. He does not give the impression he's a good Minister. If anything, it was wise to distance yourself from him. This whole fiasco he's doing is going to blow up in his face, and when it does, everyone who's around him will get caught in it. You still can't tell me about Dumbledore's plan?" Harry asks.
"Afraid not. It's not that he doesn't trust you, he doesn't want you worrying about it." Isabelle said.
Harry sighs.
They told him the basics. Death Eaters were recruiting and trying to gather followers. They've been recruiting heavily. Using their circles and connections to find people. They suspected they've been recruiting heavily at Knockturn Ally. A lot of criminals go there for supplies and places to hide.
There was something else they weren't saying. Harry knew it was on the tip of her tongue, but she didn't say anything.
Harry sighs, knowing he wasn't going to get anything out of her.
"What has Fudge been doing?" Harry asks.
"As far as we can tell, he's preparing for the trial. He hasn't really done anything to warrant any suspicion in sabotaging the hearing." Isabelle said.
Harry wasn't convinced. He was certain Fudge would still try to pull something.
"I want to be ready at first light," Harry said. "I want to be there in case Fudge does try something. I still got the feeling he's going to try something. Inform the French Minister as well." Harry said.
"It's too late to change the court date and time." Isabelle Morgan said. "We're well into the seventy-two-hour notice. It's been set. Unless there is an emergency, he cannot change the court date and time."
"You really think Fudge will obey the law and present 'evidence' to discredit me. I know you haven't been following the Daily Prophet, but they did an article on me." Harry said as he opens the drawer and hands her the Daily Prophet.
Isabelle looked at the article and was surprised at the cover.
'Boy-Who-Lives attacks Muggles!'
"I could have sworn Samuel and Sirius put a stop to this," Isabelle said.
"Fudge is still leaning on the Prophet to ruin my image. While they can't lie about me and smear my name, they are allowed to post what Fudge wants with them. No doubt Fudge is the one telling the Press that I've been attacking muggles. I'm sure Percy Weasley has already told Fudge that's I'm a muggle hater. Due to the fact I have belittled Hermione Granger ever since we arrived at Hogwarts." Harry said.
"Muggle hater? You are far from one." Isabelle said.
"I don't hate muggles. Nor do I care about blood status. I hate Granger because she's a know it all. She always assumes she's correct and isn't wrong. I hate her personality, not her blood status. Though it is true, other than Lily, I don't really have muggle-born friends. So it's possible to prove it from Fudge's point of view of me being a muggle hater. Percy is no doubt telling a lot of tales about me." Harry said.
"Percy Weasley," Isabelle said. "If I recall correctly, he is a studious type. He got all O's in his N.E.W.T.'s and is someone who firmly believes in the rules. He isn't the type to just make stuff up."
"However, he doesn't like me at all. He views me as the worst sort of troublemaker there is, despite what his own brothers, the twins do at Hogwarts. He also has a sick obsession with Artemis." Harry said.
"I've heard. Artemis has said many times she has despised Percy Weasley." Isabelle said.
"Percy Weasley dream girl is to have a trophy wife. Someone like his mother who stays at home, cooks, and cleans. He also wants the most beautiful girl at his side to do these things. The only problem is…"
"Artemis is far from that type of girl. She's really ambitious. Not to mention, she's outgoing and enjoys having fun. Her parents have always taught her there is a time to be herself and a time to be a professional." Isabelle said.
"Yeah, I believe in that too. A time to be serious and a time to have fun. Percy Weasley doesn't believe in that. He's always serious. He really doesn't have any friends. I wonder what his girlfriend sees in him." Harry said.
Harry's ears perked a bit when he heard something by the door. Were the Weasley twins eavesdropping again?
"I'm curious, how many magical degrees are there?" Harry asked.
"You don't know?" Isabelle said.
Harry shook his head.
"There is five. O.W.L.s. is the lowest, then it's followed by N.E.W.T.s. Then it's Artisan, which takes about a year or two of additional study. After Artisan, it's Scholar. That takes another two to four years of study. Then it's Master. A master's degree takes an additional eight years of study. Why? Are you thinking of furthering your education?" Isabelle asks.
"I'm curious. I haven't really thought about it. However, I'll be taking my O.W.L.s. this year and curious to know more." Harry said.
"Edward acquire his Artisan Degree two years ago. He's working on his Scholar degree to take over the family business. He still has a year left of study before he gets it."
"What about Artemis?" Harry asks.
"Artemis just got her Artisan degree. She plans to acquire her Masters. From what I understand, she's going to be taking her Scholar Degree test this year." Isabelle said.
"Do degrees determined your wages?" Harry asks.
"They can, indeed. Master's can get between one thousand to ten thousand galleons a month, depending on their job. However, acquiring a Master's is tough, even for the most talent witches and wizards. In fact, if I remember correctly, there are only around twenty-three Masters in Briton alone. Olivia is one of them."
"Olivia has a Master's degree?" Harry said in surprise.
"You didn't know? She was never really ambitious and doesn't really scheme. Yet she was hailed as a prodigy even at a young age. Much like yourself and Lilian Morris. She earned her Master's degree, almost nine years ago. The following year, she was put on the Sanctum Board of Healers after Healer Johnathan Borvo retired." Isabelle said.
This was intriguing. Harry wonders what made Olivia come to Briton from Scandinavia.
"So Artemis is going for her Masters. How long will it take her?" Harry asks.
"That's unknown. The most common years are eight and ten years to acquire a Masters Degree. Dumbledore took twenty to get his. Don't ask me why I never found out why, and it was long before my time. It took Olivia five years to acquire hers. I know Olivia is helping Artemis get her Master's. So it could be another two to four years before she acquires it. I know she received her mother's brains given her N.E.W.T.s record." Isabelle said.
"Samuel is smart enough on his own," Harry said.
"True. However, Artemis understands the Healing Arts. Perhaps better than her mother. She's really moving up the ranks in Saint Mungos. You know she was promoted to Junior Healer despite her only working for six months there." Isabelle said.
Harry did know. Olivia was proud of her daughter. She was really excelling in the Healing Arts. Harry was sure some were thinking favorites were being played.
"So it could take Artemis Wynter another four years before she acquires her Master's degree," Harry asks.
Isabelle nods her head.
Harry knew if Artemis got a Master's Degree, it would benefit her greatly.
"Anyway, we're going to have a busy day tomorrow. Let's have some dinner and get some rest. I want to be there when the courts open." Harry said.
Isabelle nods her head and turns to leave. Harry could hear the faint sounds of footsteps from outside the door before Isabelle reach the door. Given that it wasn't loud footsteps, it told him it wasn't Ron Weasley as he tends to have loud footsteps like he was an elephant in a brush when he was running. He had no sense of subtlety. Most likely, it was the Weasley twins or Ginny Weasley. Granger was another possibility. She was so nosy and love sticking her nose in everyone's business.
Lily didn't eavesdrop on him. If anything, he was telling her everything now. The two of them were really close these days.
Harry didn't care. No information was given that was worth talking about.
Harry woke the next morning at five in the morning. Given how often he woke up at five in the morning at Hogwarts, this was no different.
Lily snuggles up on Harry, and she had her leg over his.
They've been like this all summer. Harry couldn't wait till he actually got to fuck her.
Harry moves his hand past her underwear and slips his finger into her pussy. He ventures a bit until he stops when he felt it.
She still had her hymen.
Harry teases her a bit, causing her to moan in her sleep. Soon her panties were soaking wet along with Harry's fingers.
Not willing to pop it yet and knowing if he did, she would wake up from the pain, he removes her finger.
He licks his finger and taste Lily. It was such a sweet taste.
It was tough to resist his urges and just enter her. Perhaps after he came back, he could talk to her about a blowjob.
Though last night was interesting enough.
Artemis was kissing Lily on the lips and really giving Harry a show in their underwear. Lily was shocked Artemis was so willing to kiss her, yet she got into it and kiss her back. Then Artemis showed Lily how to give Harry a blowjob. Artemis was sucking on Harry's cock, bobbing her head up and down until he cums in her mouth.
Only Artemis didn't swallow. She holds the cum in her mouth and urges Lily to come to her. Then she kissed Lily on the lips and transfer Harry's cum into her mouth. Both girls swallowed Harry's cum with greedy. Their tongues dancing in salvia and cum. A bit of Harry's cum dripping from the side of their mouth.
Just the thought of it made Harry's cock rock hard once again, and he started to have morning wood.
Harry presses his cock against Lily's pussy. Only her panties and his boxers acted as a barrier from him entering her. He rotates his hips back and forth, pressing her cock against her.
Lily smiles in her sleep and rotates her hips to match Harry's rhythm.
The urge was hard to resist. Harry so wanted to rip her panties off.
"You that horny?" Lily said.
Harry stops what he was doing and looks at Lily, who had that smile on her face. She opens her eyes and stares into his eyes.
"Can't help it. I got a beautiful lady in bed with me." Harry said.
Lily places her elbow props herself upward. She rotates her hips against Harry's cock to tease him.
"I got a little surprise for you today. Something to wish you luck with your hearing." Lily said.
She throws the covers over and spins her body, so she was facing the end of the bed. She tugs Harry's boxers down and reaches for his cock in her hand. This was the first time she's ever held his cock. She flips her hair to the side, and Harry couldn't believe what was about to happen. Much sooner than he anticipated. She bends down and licks the tip of his cock.
Harry nearly came right there. It felt so beautiful and magnificent.
Lily returns to licking the tip a few more times, and Harry was trying not to cum so early. Then she opens her mouth and covers his cock with her mouth. Lily pulls back, covering the tip with her saliva. Only she didn't remove her mouth. She stops at his tips and then goes back down, deeper and further this time.
She repeats her process and tries hard to take all of Harry's nine inches. Yet she could only take six inches. That didn't discourage her. She bobs her head up and down, sucking, using her tongue to tease his tip.
Harry reaches up and grabs her head. He then holds her down and pushes her all the way to his base, where she wasn't able to go on her own.
Harry lets go, and she goes up, his cock slipping out of her mouth as she breathes fresh air. Yet she didn't stop. She continues to jack him as she was catching her breath. Her hands felt so wonderful on his cock. She was giving slow strokes, and Harry was trying to resist shooting all over her hand and on the bed. He wanted to shoot deep down her throat.
Once Lily got her breath back, she goes back down after put her hair to the side and starts sucking again.
Harry was in heaven. Not even Artemis was this good to his cock, and she was a good fuck.
Lily continues to bob her head up and down, doing her best to take the best of him.
Harry reaches up and touches her pussy through her panties. Lily lets out a moan with his cock in her mouth. Harry smiles and rubs her pussy as she bobs her head up and down.
This double action was too much. Lily orgasms through her panties, making them even wetter than ever, and Harry couldn't hold it back any longer. He starts cumming in her mouth. Lily tries to swallow it, but after the first shot, she was unable to consume all of it. She immediately brings her head up, allowing Harry to shoot shot after shot in her face. The one thing about Harry as he was a massive cum shooter. It got in her face, on her chest and boobs, her bra, and in her hair. Lily had to close her eyes as some of the cum overlay her eyes with its white substance.
Lily twirls her tongue around her mouth to take in Harry's cum and swallows it. She places her hands over her eyes and drags the cum onto her fingertips to allow her to see, and to consume more of his cum.
"You look magnificent," Harry said as the mess of her in his cum look beautiful.
"I can't wait till you actually fuck me," Lily said.
Harry smiles. He sits upright and grabs the front of her bra and yanks hard, causing her bra to snap and be removed. Lily seemed to know what was on Harry's mind and stood upright as her breast stood out, hard and ready for Harry.
Harry grabs her tits and leans in and starts to suck on her nipples.
Lily moans as Harry was sucking on her nipple and nibbling it with his teeth.
A knock on the door interrupted their little fun. The door opens, and Lily quickly grabs the covers to hide her near-naked body. Harry also used the cover to the mess of his boxers. Only a few people, not including the house-elves, were able to open his door. Kreacher appeared.
"Mistress Isabelle wishes to see you in the kitchen as soon as possible, Master." Kreacher said. With that said, Kreacher turns around, closes the door, and leaves.
"That was fun," Harry said as Lily throws the covers away from her face. Her face was still a mess with all the cum over it. She smiles as she looks at him.
"We have no choice, we have to take a bath together," Harry said as he gets up. He kicks his boxers off of him as they were now hanging at his ankles.
Lily follows suit and removes her panties. They were really wet, and it wasn't a good idea to walk around in them. Lily puts her panties and bra in her hamper as Harry throws his boxers into his.
Both walk, bare naked towards Harry's bathroom.
The water was already in the bath, and they both climb in.
Lily was a real mess. Cum was all over her face and hair. If Mrs. Weasley or any of the Weasley's saw Lily with cum on her face, they would flip out.
They both quickly clean themselves with Harry being quicker. Harry realized girls like to take their time.
Harry leans forward and kisses Lily on the lips. She kisses him back with equal passion.
Harry climbs out of the bath and quickly enters his room to get dress. Harry didn't want to wait for Lily. She was like Daphne, who loves to take her time in a bath.
Harry puts on his robes and walks out of the room and immediately heads towards the kitchens. Isabella was sitting down, and the smell of breakfast was in the air as the House Elves were all preparing the morning meal.
Isabelle was sitting down in some of her best elegant robes. Robes that screamed she was a noble, yet it said 'don't test me' attitude.
It was clear she was prepared. The one thing she was good at, especially with politics and the justice system, she is capable of foreseeing what her opponents would do. Meaning she can predict what her opponents would say. The Black Family always practice in outsmarting all their opponents. It didn't matter if it was in-laws, the courts, or duels, the Blacks still train their children to excel well.
"We almost ready?" Harry asks as he sits down and grabs his plate.
"We are. I got the paperwork all ready." Isabelle said.
"Can I ask you something?" Harry said.
"Go ahead."
"Why didn't you become the Head of the Black family? You have the ambition." Harry asks.
Isabelle smiles.
"You notice. I wasn't exactly trying to hide it. I'm indeed a very ambitious woman. I like to acquire power. I'm also smart to know that direct power doesn't suit me. I'm more comfortable with acquiring power from behind a person. The person who whispers in the ear of one in power. When I was controlling Lucius Malfoy from the shadows for those ten years, I found I rather enjoy it. If anything, I want to be the one in your shadow. With power, but that power I use is another's." Isabelle said.
"So, you're like a true Slytherin," Harry said.
"In a way. As you know, there are many kinds of snakes. Many kinds of Slytherin's. I like to think of myself as a python. The type who waits patiently, acquires, and gets bigger yet remains out of sight." Isabelle said.
"Then… what kind am I?" Harry asks.
"If I had to guess… you are a Kingsnake." Isabelle said with a smile.
"A Kingsnake…" Harry repeated. It was a nonvenomous snake.
"You haven't noticed. It is true you may not carry lethal venom… if you find blackmail material, you use it wisely. You are patient and are only aggressive if provoked. You are also dangerous to other dangerous snakes, especially if they're venomous because their venom doesn't work on you, and you're more than capable of taking them down. Did you know, Kingsnakes are a lot like a python, rivaling their squeezing strength on their prey, despite being four times smaller than a python. They're one of the strongest constructors snakes there is." Isabelle said.
Kingsnakes grew to a max size of six feet long. Yet Python's grew from twenty to twenty-five feet long. It was hard to imagine they had the same constructor strength.
"I'm really like a Kingsnake," Harry said as he looks at his plate.
"You are gentle and kind… it's nothing to be ashamed of. The reason why you're like a Kingsnake is also that…"
"Blackmail and bullying don't work on me," Harry said, recalling all the previous four years he's been at Hogwarts. Especially his first year. Marcus Flint, a sixth-year student, was unable to successful bully and blackmail Harry. He got really frustrated that Harry wouldn't bend to him. It what caused Artemis to defend him much from Flint. Cause them to get into their own confrontation a lot. Flint wasn't intelligent nor bright. If anything, he was a bully who likes picking and hurting people.
The attempted bullying stopped after the dueling club when everyone learned he was a parselmouth. No one wanted to mess with Slytherin's heir. Flint had a real change of tune afterward, as well.
"The Kingsnake is given its name because it will seek and hunt venomous snakes. It has a high tolerance for venom, yet be warned, they are not completely immune to venom. You could still falter if a well-placed venom strike hits you. So tread with caution." Isabelle said.
Harry nods his head.
It would make sense. Voldemort was well known to be a venomous snake. If he had to hazard a guess, he was like a Basilisk. Very venomous fangs. Yet Harry defangs him. That didn't mean he was any less dangerous.
"Let's get to the Ministry," Isabelle said as she grabs her now empty plate. Harry finishes eating, and they both put their dishes in the sink before going to the fireplace.
There they enter the Potter Suite, and Harry looks around.
It's been three years since he's been here.
The House of Lords was on the zero levels, and it was difficult to enter. For one, these family suites were personally controlled by one of the ruling families. Meaning access to the suites was strictly controlled. Only the Great House or their Vassals could enter the Suites. It also required a special kind of floo network to enter. All these suites also connected to the Chamber of the Lords. Not to mention, the wards in the Lords Floor were forbidden as spell casting wasn't allowed. Only certain spells could be used.
Isabelle grabs some paperwork and looks through it. Harry walks over and looks at the books on the table.
There were court dates. Laws that were being put into question and debates that needed questioning.
Then the fireplace came alive. Harry places the book down as he turns to his fireplace.
A tall man with long black hair that was tied in a ponytail with a look on his face was talking to Isabelle. His robes also scream success all over it. He walks in, and several other people follow him.
Harry turned to him and realized this was the French Minister. Fleur Delacour enters behind him.
"Awe, Lord Potter." The man said with a heavy French accent. He stood up and seemed to stand with pride. "I am Jean-Claude de Dreik. The French Minister of Magic." He said as he gives a short bow after his introduction. He stands up and speaks again in a firm voice. "I honestly wish to say we were meeting under better circumstances. Lady Fleur Delacour has already told me of the situation."
"What do you think of Briton's Minister, Minister Dreik?" Harry asks.
"The truth. I never really like him. I've met him only a few times for several gatherings. In the early days, he relied heavily on the wisdom of Albus Dumbledore. He always gave the impression he was a spineless idiot. Now he seems to have grown fond of his power. He seeks to challenge the Great Lords of Briton and Albus Dumbledore… then he is a bigger fool than I originally thought. I also wish to get back at him for all the heavy taxes he's put on my people when they visit the Briton Region." Minister Dreik said.
"Fleur says you've been good to her family and to the people of France. Every law you've put in place was for the better of your people. I understand crime is low, and tourism is at its highest." Harry said.
"Indeed. When your war ended, the idea was to raise funds to help your community. However, when my office gave your Ministry the funds, he never gave them to the people who needed the funds. From what I understand, he kept the funds. I never sent another set of funds to him again." Minister Dreik said.
Harry's eyes open wide. This was vital intel. If Fudge was keeping war relief funds instead of giving them to the victims, then this was a serious fraction. It was a start to get Fudge out of office.
"Fudge never seemed like a good Minister to me," Harry said. "In my third year, he wanted to kiss my godfather right away instead of questioning him from his escape from Azkaban. He also seems to take advice and gold from known Death Eaters."
"Associating with known criminals is a disgrace. I hope when he falls into disgrace, he will forever be marked as the worst Minister ever." Minister Dreik.
Indeed. It seems Fudge isn't all that respected in the international community. This was going to be easier than Harry thought.
The floo lit up again, and Veronica Gorlosien walks though.
"Good, you're all here. Your suspicion was right, Fudge did change the time and place of the hearing." She said.
"What do you mean?" Isabelle said.
"Some of my contacts in the Wizengamot just got notifications for a hearing for Harry Potter in Courtroom Ten, at eight o'clock this morning." Veronica Gorlosien said.
"That's in ten minutes," Harry said in shock.
"Not to mention, it's also illegal," Isabelle said.
"What happens if we bring this up?" Harry asks.
"Legally, the charges must be dropped. The law clearly states that a seventy-two-hour notice must be given beforehand to any changes to a court date. Last-minute changes are not allowed." Isabelle said.
"Fudge can't honestly believe he can get away with this, can he?" Harry said.
"The Minister of Magic unless he's previous was the Head of Magical Law cannot intervene in the courts. It's unethical. He is going to make more enemies than allies." Isabelle said.
"Fudge seems to want to make more enemies than allies." Minister Dreik said.
"We better get going. We don't want Fudge to clock more time from us." Harry said.
Isabelle grabs Harry's hand. She enters the floo, and quickly, they went to level ten, where the courtrooms were. Isabelle didn't say hello to anyone or stop. They quickly enter the Courtroom Ten to see many in the Wizengamot taking their seats. Some were shaking hands with their colleagues while others look annoyed at being called in so early.
Harry looks at Fudge, who was seated in the center of a high table, and he was looking at his watch before he looks up to see Harry and Isabelle enter. He had a look of disgust on his face. On his left was Madam Bones. Wearing her court robes. On Fudge's right was another witch. One who's named Harry didn't know. She had curly brown hair and small brown eyes. Yet her face seemed to resemble more of a toad's than anything. She was wearing court robes as well and had a blank expression on her face. She stares at Harry with interesting eyes.
"You're late." A wizard said.
"We never got the notification that the time and place of the trial had been changed. This is an infraction of the Ministry." Isabelle said in a loud and commanding voice. Her warm and kind voice had vanished. Harry could see she looked very strict and stern now.
"An owl was sent an hour ago to you. This is not the Ministry's fault." A wizard said. Who appeared to be the bailiff.
"The Law clearly states if any changes are given to a trial or hearing, the party in question must be given a seventy-two-hour warning in advance. Again, this is an infraction of the Ministry, and there will be penalties." Isabelle thundered.
The wizard said nothing. If anything, he turns to Fudge, who didn't look pleased.
"Take your seat." Fudge said.
Harry turns to the only chair in the room and immediately was on guard. He's seen this chair once before in Dumbledore's Pensive. Its chains magically restrain and bond any person that sat in it. It did so to Bellatrix Lestrange and her partners when they were brought in this very courtroom.
Instead, Harry pulls out his wand and conjures a chair. He calmly sits down in his chair and ignores the chair beside him, whose chains were rattling slightly.
Fudge gives Harry a hard disgusting look as if he was displeased with Harry's action. Harry puts his wand away and sits down as Isabelle stands beside him.
"Very well, let us have order!" Fudge said as he puts on his glasses. However, no one seemed to pay him any attention. Fudge grabs the gavel and bangs on the hardwood loudly repeatedly. "Order." Fudge said in a loud voice.
The chatter slowly died as everyone started to sit upright and in their seats.
"Let us begin." Fudge said as he grabs a piece of parchment in front of him. "The accused is present. Are you ready?" Fudge asks, turning to another wizard who was seated not too far from him.
"Yes, Minister." A voice Harry knew all to well said.
Harry follows Fudge's glare to see the familiar redhead of Percy Weasley. Percy if anything looks unusual smug, more so than usual. He had his glasses on and a quill and parchment in hand. He seemed to be very excited. Percy looks up and sees Harry staring at him, and his mouth curls into a smile that clearly said 'I told you so,' and he was enjoying this.
Percy breaks eye contact and begins to get ready. He holds his quill at the ready.
"The charges are as followed, that one Harry James Potter attack and injured several muggles and used magic outside of school despite knowing he wasn't supposed to. Will the accused present his wand." Fudge said.
Harry looks at Fudge, giving him a cold, dirty look. Slowly, reaching into his right pocket in his robes, Harry removes his wand and hands it over to the bailiff. The bailiff presents it on the table where a magical device was present. No doubt to destroy the wand in question.
"The Trial of Harry Potter on August Twelfth can now begin." Fudge said. Percy began taking notes at once. Copying Fudge's word for word. "into the offenses committed under the Decree for Reasonable Restriction of Underage Sorcery and the International Statute of Secrecy by one Harry James Potter." Here Fudge paused as he looks at the parchment. He was looking for something, but it wasn't there. "Interrogators: Cornelius Oswald Fudge, Minister of Magic." Fudge said as if he was proud of this fact and wanted everyone to know. "Madam Dolores Jane Umbridge, Senior Undersecretary to the Minister. Madam Amelia Susan Bones, Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement." Fudge said.
Amelia Susan Bones. This name was too similar to a Hufflepuff student who was friends with Hannah, Susan Bones. Harry would have to look into his later.
" – Witness for the defense… Jean-Claude de Dreik, the French Minister of Magic." Minister Dreik said as he walks forward with his staff.
Everyone turns to him, and Harry smiles. He turns to Percy with that smile that he gave him when Percy never got his way when he attempted to punish Harry.
"Minister Dreik…" Fudge said slowly, he was clearly nervous. "I wasn't aware we had a meeting."
"We don't," Minister Dreik said in a firm and commanding tone. "given that I am a witness to the defense in question, my presence is required."
Fudge began to fidget with his papers in front of him.
"Yes, well… if you would take a seat," Fudge said weakly.
Minister Dreik's eyes went to the only chair available. Disgust was written on his face.
"You surely jest Cornelius," Minister Dreik said as he turns his attention back to Fudge. "You can't expect me to sit in that chair like I'm some common criminal."
"Of course not," Fudge said weakly. He looks aghast for a moment and wishes someone else do something. "Weasley!" Fudge barked. "Give him our best chair."
"Yes, sir," Weasley said as he stood up at once and moved to get a chair only for him to trip and fall down.
"Allow me," Harry said as he conjures several magnificent chairs, and it wasn't just one. It was enough for Minister Dreik and his party. Fudge looked like he wanted to disappear. The action did not put him in a good light.
"Thank you, Lord Potter, you are very kind." Minister Dreik said as he smiles down at Harry.
Fleur Delacour sat down and was in her best robes.
"Yes, well, if all are present…"
"Here for the defense, Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore." Dumbledore's voice said as he walks in the courtroom. Several in the Wizengamot started clapping as Dumbledore walks into the courtroom.
Fudge looks like his day couldn't get any worse.
"Awe… yes… Dumbledore…" Fudge began weakly.
The toad witch leans forwards and speaks.
"Good to see you, Professor Dumbledore." She said in a falsely sweet voice. Harry was surprised by this but knew at once this wasn't her real voice. More like this was something she did to people she didn't like to give them a false sense of security.
"Good morning to you, Madam Umbridge," Dumbledore said in a kind voice, yet something sharp was in his voice as if he knew what she was going to say.
"Your present is most warming, and it touches all our hearts," Umbridge said in her false sweet voice. Harry had the urge to gag at the words she was using and the sound of her voice. "However, if I recall correctly, you were sack as Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot, and your presence is no longer required in these courtrooms," Umbridge said.
"Indeed. I do have the right to testify and speak on behalf of any client brought before the Wizengamot. That is what brought me here. I know these slanders and lies are to ruin Harry, and I will end it here and now." Dumbledore said in a stern and robust voice. This wasn't his kind grandfatherly voice. There was something of a warning the way Dumbledore spoke those words in them. It was almost as if he was hoping Umbridge would challenge him.
Umbridge, however, does not. She seemed to have realized the dangers too. Instead, she leans back in her seat and frowns at the unfortunate outcome.
"Also here speaking on behalf of Lord Harry James Potter, Lady Isabelle Mariana Morgan," Isabelle said in a loud voice.
Fudge was at a lost for words.
"Yes, well…" Fudge began.
Fudge was really a spineless coward. It was suddenly dawning on him he didn't have a good chance at all.
"Your first witness," Isabelle said.
"Yes, of course…" Fudge began.
A wizard walks in with very plain robes. Nothing about them screamed of status. He walks to the witness stand and sits down.
"Please state your name." Madam Bones said.
"Jase Santiago." He said.
"Please describe what happen." Madam Bones said.
"I was with my friend at a muggle park. We were simply enjoying ourselves. When we stumble across a sicking sight. Harry Potter was attacking some muggle children with magic. We rush to protect the children from these hideous actions. Only he took off running, unwilling to be caught. We notified Saint Mungo's immediately and told the Ministry at once." He said.
This wasn't a very good story. It was too quick, and many details were missing.
"You are certain it was Harry Potter." Madam Bones said.
He nods his head. "I'm certain. It was his scar that gave him away. Anyone in our world would know that scar. The moment I saw that scar when he turns to look at us, I knew at once who it was."
"Very well. Any other questions?" Madam Bones asks. No one said anything. Isabelle stands up and steps forward with a folder in hand.
"The floor may now be given to Lady Isabelle Morgan." Madam Bones said.
Isabelle opens the forward and paused as she reads it.
"It says here, Jase Santiago, if that is indeed who you are… you have a criminal record." Isabelle Morgan said.
"No… you must be… mistaken." He said, shaking his head.
"No. I'm sure of it. This is a copy from the Ministry of Magic's Department of Magical Law Enforcement. Jase Santiago. Age thirty-four, you have twenty-three counts of theft. A notorious scammer. Vandalism on several private properties and public buildings. You have attempted to scam and steal from Gringotts. It also says here… clear as day… a known associate of the radical wizard group of Blanche. Not to mention, you have a warrant out for your arrest."
"You are wrong." He said. Yet he could be seen sweating.
"Madam Bones, please verify that this is indeed a copy of his files within your department." Isabelle Morgan said as she walks over and hands the folder to Madam Bones.
Madam Bones opens it and reads it carefully. She was silent for several minutes as everyone watch her read files after file. Fudge was seen shaking as he could feel his plans coming apart. He was more interested in fidgeting with his paperwork.
"This is indeed a copy from my department." Madam Bones said in a loud voice.
Isabelle walks over and pulls out another folder.
"The 'other' eyewitness also has a criminal record and a warrant out for her arrest. Macie Baxter, another known associate to Blanche," Isabelle said as she hands the folder to Madam Bones.
Madam Bones takes it and reads it carefully. After she was done, she nods her head.
"From what I understand, you struck a deal with the Minister of Magic Cornelius Fudge, that you would frame Harry Potter for a crime he never committed, and you would have your records expunged. Is that so?" said Isabelle.
"No! You are wrong!" He shouted as depression could be heard in his voice.
"Are you willing to say the same thing under Veritaserum?" Isabelle said as she pulls a bottle out from the pocket of her robes.
"You cannot! You need permission to admit that serum." He shouted.
"Given the nature of the crime, this potion can be admitted." Isabelle thundered.
"It will never be admitted." He shouted in desperation.
"True, you cannot deny that you are Jase Santiago, and you have a criminal record. You're also trying to eliminate and kill Harry Potter, are you not." Isabelle said.
"These are lies!" He shouted. He looks for Fudge for help.
Fudge seemed to have realized the danger.
"Enough." Fudge said. "There will be no more questions." He said.
Jase Santiago lets out a sigh of relief and gets up to leave.
"Does the Ministry have any more eyewitnesses?" Isabelle asks.
The witch, whom Jase Santiago sat next to… didn't look like she wanted to come up. Isabelle was intimidating. Criminal 'evidence' was not respected in the courts if deals were made.
"No. Your first witness." Madam Bones said.
"I call upon Lady Fleur Delacour to take the stands." Isabelle Morgan said.
Fleur stands up and takes the witness stands.
Isabelle stands forward.
"How did you meet Lord Potter?" Isabelle asks.
"I met him at Hogwarts for the Triwizard Tournament. He was one of my competitors for the tournament." Fleur said.
"After the tournament ended, what became of you two?" Isabelle said.
"I offered him to visit my family villa in France. We were celebrating his victory and win of the Triwizard Tournament." Fleur said.
"Was Harry Potter with you all summer? He didn't return to Briton at all?" Isabelle asks.
"We returned to Briton a week ago. Ever since the school year ended, he's been in France with me. He's been in France all summer and hasn't left." Fleur said.
"What did you two do together?" Isabelle Morgan asks.
"We stayed in my villa, I showed him around Whisper Ally, introduce him to my relatives. Had several parties, feast, and gatherings." Fleur said.
"Did Harry Potter use magic at all when he was with you?" Isabelle Morgan said.
"No, he did not. I showed him some spells myself, but he didn't use magic," said Fleur.
Once this was stated, it threw a wrench in Fudge's plan to discredit Harry as now it was clear someone was trying to frame Harry, and Fudge would try to draw that fact away from himself.
They couldn't bring up Voldemort or the Death Eaters, for Fudge would have dismissed any evidence they had on the Dark Lord's return.
There was also no telling what would have happened.
"I have no further questions," Isabelle said as she returns to Harry's side.
"Does the Ministry have any questions?" Madam Bones asked.
Percy stood up. He straightened his robes up and tried to look prominent.
"What exactly did you Potter do together?" Percy asks as he approaches Fleur.
"What do you mean?" Fleur asks.
"You said you spent time with him. What did you do together?" Percy said as he rephrases his question.
"I showed him around, and he bought souvenirs from my region. Or are you referring to what we did in bed?" Fleur said.
"What you did in bed?" Percy repeated. Fleur nods her head.
"He's an excellent lover," Fleur stated simply. Fleur wasn't lying on this fact, as the two did sleep together the first night she was in Grimmauld Place. Lily had to sleep in her old room, and he and Fleur went at it.
Percy's face turns so red he went darker than his hair.
"How do I know you're not making that story up. Potter is a well-known muggle hater," said Percy.
"I object. There is no proof that Harry Potter is a muggle hater!" Isabelle shouted as she stood on her feet.
"State your proof, Percy Weasley," said Madam Bones.
"Ever since Harry Potter attended Hogwarts, he has belittled and attacked muggle-born students," Percy said in a firm voice.
"Again, I object!" Isabelle said louder. "The student in question is a muggle-born student known as Hermione Granger. The entire study body of Hogwarts does not like this girl, and she is rather well hated throughout the school. By all students, I might add, muggle-borns and purebloods."
"Do you have any other proof," Madam Bones asks Percy.
Percy flushed another shade of red. He didn't have anyone else to ruin Harry. Hermione Granger was his best bet.
"Why would you offer Harry Potter to your villa? You two were fierce competitors in the Triwizard Tournament." Percy demanded.
"He saved my life," Fleur said as if it was simple and it was enough.
"We have eyewitnesses that point Harry responsible for the attack of several muggle children," Percy said.
"Again, I object. Given the fact, the testimony of the eyewitnesses has already been settled." Isabelle said.
"Overrule." Madam Bones said.
Minister Dreik stood up.
"I believe the young Weasley is stating that Lady Fleur Delacour was with Harry Potter during the times of these attacks." Minister Dreik said.
Percy said nothing. He seemed to be more interested in fixing the front of his robes.
"Given the time of this attack, I can verify that Lord Potter was eating lunch with Lady Delacour and myself, along with her family and other members of my Ministry. In other words, the young boy, Weasley I believe he's called, is accusing me of attacking those muggles," said Minister Dreik.
This was a dangerous accusation. For one, it could start a conflict between France and Briton and will end the alliance they had with one another. It was also a dangerous thing to admit, and Percy knew this, which is why he turns around and mumbles to himself.
Percy mutters something that no one was able to hear.
"Minister Dreik, I assure you… no one in my office would dare accuse you of such a thing." Fudge said with a fake short laugh.
"Then what are you suggesting, Cornelius? That Harry Potter was somehow in two places at once? Despite having an ocean separating these places? Or does he have an identical twin we don't know about?" Minister Dreik said in a booming voice that echoed the courtroom chambers.
Harry was trying his best not to smirk at the flabbergast Fudge. Who was at a loss for words. Fudge begins to fidget with his papers.
"The witnesses clearly stated…" Fudge began in a small voice.
"Are you calling me a liar, Cornelius!" Minister Dreik said in a booming voice that echoed in the courtroom as he stood up at once and holds his wand tightly. Fudge tried to sink back into his chair.
"Of course not," Fudge mumbled.
"Then what are you implying? That my Ministry is lying? I do not know what personal vendetta you have against Harry Potter, but attempting to discredit him with lies is disgraceful. As well as associating with known criminals!" Minister Dreik shouted.
Fudge clearly lost all courage. Minister Dreik looked serious and dangerous.
"Minister Dreik, I assure you, Briton would never accuse you of such things," Dumbledore said in his grandfatherly voice that made him sound very wise.
Minister Dreik nods his head. "I should hope so, Professor Dumbledore. Wars have been started for less."
"Furthermore, the office of the Ministry of Magic will offer you their most sincere apology for their accusation against you and your party," Dumbledore added.
Now Harry was trying hard not to laugh. Fudge looked like he didn't even want to do what Dumbledore said. Yet he knew he had no choice.
"If that is all, I would like Lady Delacour to step down from the witness stands if the Ministry of Magic has no further questions," Isabelle said. "And if it pleases the court, here are sworn statements from the French that all point Harry Potter being in France during the time of these attacks," Isabelle said as she hands a folder that had many parchments in it. Madam Bones nods her head as she takes it.
Madam Bones then looks at Percy, who realized he was beaten. He returns to his seat with his head down. He began to scribing down on his parchment at a fast rate and didn't look back up. Fleur gets up and returns to her seat.
"Any other statements or questions before the votes?" Madam Bones asked.
Isabelle stood up.
"Harry Potter is accused of attacking muggle children. If this is true, then why hasn't the Improper Use of Magic Office acted on this information. Harry Potter does have the Trace place upon him. Meaning all magic, he cast and will be detected by this office and the Ministry. If you check with their records, and these records are not allowed to be tamper with in any way, regardless of who wants them tampered with, are well documented. Harry Potter's record is clean. He has never used magic outside of school, and ever magic he has cast and learn has been perfectly legal and during his time at Hogwarts. These charges are foolish base on a blind man's attempt to discredit and ruin Harry Potter before he turns seventeen. There is no case, and this trial is a waste of time." Isabelle said. With that said, Isabelle turns and sits back down beside Harry.
Percy stood up. It was clear he was at a lost. His own testimony was useless on what he originally wanted to say.
"Harry Potter is one of the worst sorts of trouble Hogwarts has ever seen," Percy said slowly. "He believes the rules themselves bend in his favor, and he can do what he pleases. If he does not respect the simple rules of Hogwarts, what makes you think he won't stop at our laws. He believes himself above the law. Above the Ministry! Give him the justice he deserves, expel him from Hogwarts, and it will show no one is above the law or the Ministry," said Percy.
With that said, Percy returns to his seat.
"For those in favor of conviction?" Madam Bones said.
Only a few people raised their hands. Dolores Umbridge and Cornelius Fudge being one of them. Though Fudge did so half-heartedly.
"Those who in favor of clearing the accused of all charges?" said Madam Bones.
She raised her hand as did everyone else. Nearly the entire Wizengamot raised their hand.
They had to raise their hands. It could be a war, and that was the last thing they wanted. What a field day the Daily Prophet would have if they accused the French Minister attacking muggles on their soil.
Fudge looks like he was forced to swallow a lemon. He had no choice. Even he had to obey the laws of the court.
"Cleared of all charges," Fudge said as he bangs his gravel down on the hardwood.
"Good, now we must go. I have lawsuits I must file against the Ministry. You understand, I'm sure, no one is above the law Minister." Isabelle said.
Fudge had a nasty look on his face as he looks at her.
"You will also be hearing from my Advocate's Cornelius!" Minister Dreik said. "I do not like being accused of attacking children! You can be sure this is not the last time you've heard from me." With that said, he turns and leaves at once. His cabinet following their Minister.
Dumbledore follows them, and he disappears.
Fudge folded his hands in his face and knew at once he was in serious trouble.
Harry stands up and takes the wand from the bailiff and walks out with Isabelle.
They return to Grimmauld Place.
"Well?" Sirius said as he steps forward, eager to hear the news.
"Cleared of all charges," Harry said with a grin.
"Samuel, we have work to do. We have files we must charge against the Ministry." Isabelle said.
"Right, might as well do it as soon as possible," Samuel said. In saying that, both return to the Potter Suite at the Ministry.
"Before you go," Harry said, stopping the two. They turn to look at him. "Find out the ones who voted against me. destroy their name and credit and have them removed from the Wizengamot." Harry said. They nod their heads and disappear into the fireplace.
Lily hugs Harry, and a look of relief was on her face.
"I was worried," Lily admitted.
"If Minister Dreik hadn't been there, the votes could have gone another way. Though with Isabelle doing a fantastic job, I'm sure they weren't going to convict me." Harry said.
Ron didn't have a smile. He was brooding in the corner.
"By the way, Weasley," Harry said, causing Ron to look at him. "I believe this is yours," Harry said, taking the wand out of his robes and tossing his wand to him.
"My wand," Ron said. Then he got angry. "You stole my wand!" Ron bellowed.
Harry really wished he wouldn't shout so much. He swears he was going to go deaf because of him. Then Harry heard the sound of his children crying from upstairs.
"Alright new rule. You are no longer allowed to shout in this house. If you do, I'm kicking you out." Harry said. "And second, do you really believe I would let the Ministry snap and destroy my wand. The wand that bested Voldemort. You are a fool if you think so. Your wand is better to be snap seeing how you don't really need it." Harry said.
In saying that, Harry goes up the stairs to calm his children. Ron stood there, fuming at the realization of Harry was going to have his wand snap.
Harry walks in, where his children were lying down, and he grabs them and rocks them in his arm. It took them a while to quiet down and stop crying.
Harry was more than sure Lucius Malfoy had a hand in the trial even if he didn't appear. No doubt, he was talking to Fudge all about it.
However, it was a dangerous step due to the French stepping in.
Harry avoid this trap, now he would have to wait for another. He had no doubt the two eyewitnesses were arrested, and knowing Isabelle, she was sending them off to Azkaban.
Now it was Voldemort's move. The next move, he might not see coming.
Author Notes: Several things I want to state before this chapter closes.
I hope everyone enjoys the morning blowjob with Lily and Harry. Given that I spent nearly sixty chapters building up their relationship from the first year till now, I hope you all enjoyed the chapter!
Second, with Artemis being hailed as a prodigy in the healing arts shouldn't be that a surprise. I know she's name after the Greek Goddess Artemis, the daughter of Zeus. The only difference between the Greek Goddess and my Artemis was the Greek Goddess was a virgin Goddess. My Artemis did have twins, similar Greek Goddess Artemis and her twin brother Apollo. Like the Twin Greek Gods, Artemis had a boy and girl. Artemis was the Goddess of Hunt, Wild Animals, Childbirth, Virginity, protector of young girls, bringing and relieving disease in women. She was hailed as the greatest huntress in ancient times. She is also the Goddess of the Moon. While her twin brother Apollo was the God of the Sun. Artemis because she healed woman and girls from illness and disease and was also hailed as a healer. (The Greek Goddess dislike men and didn't heal them. Kind of like Artemis relationship with Percy Weasley)
Also, how do you all like that Harry's trick with the wand switch he did in the courtroom. Lucius Malfoy did have a hand in that hearing and tried to get Harry's wand destroyed because it bested and destroys Voldemort's wand on Voldemort's orders. If you think about it, I don't think I put it in the chapter, but Harry's right-handed, so if his wand were in his robes, they would be in his left pocket, not his right.
School has started up again, and I'm going full time. Meaning that I won't be updating as frequently as I usually do. But I will be on this story and be trying to update this story.
