Magical Origins
Author Notes: So, I went back and fix the issue with Cedric Diggory's death in chapter 69. If there is any mention of Cedric death in past chapters, let me know which chapters have them, and I'll fix it; please enjoy the chapter.
Year 5: The Last Christmas
Lily snuggles up on Harry, trying to keep him to her. The only problem was with was Artemis also snuggle on Harry, using him for comfort and warmth.
Harry loves both Artemis and Lily, but they knew how to keep him drain. They wouldn't stop letting them fuck them so they would get satisfaction. When he finished with one, the other would climb on him for some action themselves. When that finish, the cycle would repeat.
Harry wakes up before either girl wakes and quickly slips out of the grip they had on their arms as he enters his bathroom and takes a quick shower.
Harry puts on his robe and walks downstairs, knowing it Christmas. Harry didn't want any presents, a simple dinner was all he wanted.
Harry walks down the stairs to see Remus drinking a strange goblet in his hands.
"Is it almost time of the full moon?" Harry asks Remus.
"Afraid so," says Remus. "Sirius is allowing me to stay in the basement where I'll remain until the full moon passes."
"I really need to take a look at the Wolfbanes Potion," Lily says as she enters the dining room and sits down for breakfast.
"It's a very complicated potion," says Olivia.
"That's not a problem," says Lily.
"She's already mastered every N.E.W.T. potion at Hogwarts," Harry says as he sits down next to Lily.
Everyone look sat Lily in surprise. They knew she had a gift for potions, but this was almost unheard for any student before they take their O.W.L.'s to master N.E.W.T. potions at such a young age.
"You can help me with the potion after breakfast," says Olivia. "I'm making more later."
"What's on your mind, Harry?" Sirius asks Harry.
The adults turn to look Sirius as if trying to get him to stay quiet on this matter.
"No," Harry admits, "I'm not. Sirius, I think Voldemort is influencing me."
"Harry, Voldemort isn't influencing you," Sirius says calmly.
"Sirius, you don't understand, I was the snake," Harry says loudly. "I felt every emotion as if they were my own. You mention a bond between Voldemort and me. What if Voldemort can use this bond to twist my thoughts and become something like him?"
"Harry listen to me," says Sirius. "there is always a bit of light and dark inside all of us. This pushes us to make a choice to do good or evil things. That's not what is important; the important part is the act we chose to live with and stand by. You are not Voldemort, and if you're worried about the bond, Dumbledore did say he's going to have some lessons plan for you."
"What kind of lessons?" Harry asks at once.
"Occlumency," a cruel voice says from the doorway.
Everyone turns to see Snape standing there.
"Snape," Lily says in surprise.
"I'm here to inform you once you return to Hogwarts, you're going to have Occlumency lessons with me every Sunday," Snape says without saying anything to anyone.
"Why you?" Sirius asks at once.
"I assure you mutt, I did not ask for this assignment," Snape says to Sirius looking at his old school rival. "the situation has changed, Professor Dumbledore needs Harry to master Occlumency as soon possible."
"Why are you teaching him?" Sirius asks again in a stern voice.
"Professor Dumbledore wishes," Snape begins.
"Then start making sense," Sirius snaps.
Snape stood there in silence, as everyone looks at him. He knew he wasn't like or respected, but he stands there.
"Very well," Snape says as he pulls out his wand and flicks it closing the door. "the night of Arthur Weasley's attack, the Dark Lord sensed Potter's presence during the attack. He's now aware of this connection and may use it for his own advantage. The Headmaster does not wish for this connection to remained uncheck any longer and wants Potter to Master Occlumency as soon as possible. I hear you can throw off the Imperius Curse, you will find a similar method is used to mastering Occlulmency. If anyone asks, you are merely serving detention for all the classes you've been skipping. Sunday at eight o'clock, my office. Don't be late."
Snape turns and walks out of the room.
"Hold on a minute Sniverilius," Sirius says loudly as he stands up.
"Sirius," Remus says softly, but Sirius ignores Lupin. Snape and turns to face Sirius.
"I don't want to hear you using these lessons to give a hard time, or report to your master on his secrets," Sirius says loudly getting in Snape's face.
"If Potter is anything like his father, then you don't have to worry," Snape says softly.
"I'm warning you, Snivelius," Sirius barks. "You've never liked Harry, and if you give him a hard to harm him, then you'll have to answer to me."
"Speaking of dogs," Snape says, turning to Sirius. "did you realize that Lucius Malfoy knew you were lurking near Black Tea Tavern in your dog form? How stupid can you get after knowing Wormtail told the Dark Lord all about your little animagus form?"
Sirius flush a shade of red at Snape's little insult.
"I thought for sure pretending to be a stray would work," Sirius mutters.
"Be careful," Snape says coldly. "the Dark Lord is interested in anyone associated with Potter. You almost arrange for your capture because of your stupidity."
Sirius stood there in anger, knowing Snape had done this to get the better of him.
Snape says nothing as he turns and walks away.
"I don't trust him," Sirius says simply.
"Dumbledore does," Remus says softly.
"Dumbledore is too trusting in others," Sirius says. "Dumbledore should have known Peter was a traitor but still let him know too much about the Order. We have to choose our allies more cautiously."
"I agree with Sirius," Harry says simply as he sits back down. "I may not have spoken much to Snape during my Hogwarts years, but there is something amidst about Snape."
"Harry, Dumbledore trusts Snape with his life," Remus says simply. "that should be enough for all of us."
"I don't think it is," says Lily. "we only have Dumbledore's word that Snape is our spy, and its true he's given the Order plenty of information to go on, but have anyone ever stop to think he might be playing both sides?"
"You think he's only looking out for himself," Olivia asks Lily.
"How many of you can sit here and state you truly Snape?" Lily asks.
No one says anything as they look at her. Snape is a shady individual that made countless people distrust him.
"Where are the Weasley's?" asks Harry. It was strange not seeing Ron bolt through the room to grab a huge plate of food.
"Mrs. Weasley went to get her husband at Saint Mungo's," says Olivia. Harry could imagine the amount of joy Olivia was having without Mrs. Weasley trying to take over the house.
That meant Ron Weasley would be sleeping in without his mother shrieking at him to get up. Fred and George would most likely be discussing their latest in their joke shop. Ginny, no doubt, was trying to look extract pretty as it was Christmas, and she wanted to impress Harry.
Charlie didn't stay much preferring to stay in Romanian and keeping strong international ties with his friends. Bill most likely was going over some last-minute paperwork from Gringotts before he would join the family for Christmas.
"Did you know Bill is dating one of Fleur's cousins?" Lily suddenly says as he puts some eggs on her plate.
Harry nearly chokes on his eggs as he tries to clear out his windpipe.
"You're joking!" Harry says in surprise.
"Elaina Delacour," Lily says. "they're keeping the relationship quiet, so only a few people know about the pair dating."
"I take it, Mrs. Weasley is thrilled," Harry says dryly.
"Not really," says Lily. "she disapproves of the relationship and is trying to get Bill to date this girl at the Ministry."
Harry could not see this bolding well with Mrs. Weasley. Mrs. Weasley, who likes to be charged and run her family the way she saw fit, made it clear other opinions didn't matter to her. If Bill Weasley is dating a girl his mother approves, was their strife going on within the Weasley family.
"The Ministry has been attempting to track us," says Isabelle. "I've lost count on how many Ministry of Magic employees I've seen trying to follow me. We're going to need to disappear, and soon."
"I'm thinking of dropping out of Hogwarts," Harry suddenly says, causing everyone to look at Harry in surprise.
"Why?" asks Sirius.
"Do I really need to stay in school anymore with a war going on?" Harry says simply. "I know Hogwarts is safe, but I fear that safety may be a delusion. Others are casting to give them false hope."
"The problem is," says Lily. "as long as Fudge continues to attack Harry and Dumbledore and falsely stating the magical world is safe from any attack, it's giving the Death Eaters clear reign to do what they want. We need to put the word out so everyone can be put on their guard."
Lily's voice trails off as she appears to be in deep thought.
"What do you have in mind?" Harry asks Lily.
"How much do you know about World War II?" Lily asks Harry at once. "the muggle side of the war?"
"Are you talking about the German front against France, England, and the Soviet Union?" Harry says with a raised eyebrow.
"Kind of," says Lily. "when Germany occupied France, the French had many underground resistance movements to free their country from the German's. One thing that helps them fight against the Germans was an underground newspaper and radio that sent messages all across the country, and it gave people hope."
"You want to start an underground paper?" Artemis says slowly.
"That's an idea," Lily says at once. "we can start an underground paper, one that tells people the truth the Daily Prophet will not reveal."
"We're going to need someone who is skilled journalism," Olivia says at once.
"I got someone in mind," Lily says at once. "Rita Skeeter."
Whoever Harry thought Lily would recommend, it wasn't the woman who made his life difficult last year. Harry chokes on his orange juice at once.
"You got to be insane if you think you can trust that woman," Isabelle says at once.
"I don't," Lily says simply. "I got some blackmail material on her. She's an Animagus."
Everyone turns to look at her in amazement.
"Last year, she kept writing articles on things happening on Hogwarts despite the fact she wasn't allowed on the grounds," Lily explains. "I soon realize she was an animagus after Hermione did confirm to me that Viktor Krum did invite her to his home in Bulgaria after the Second Task. I remember Hermione pulled out a beetle from her hair. Last year when we told Fudge about the Dark Lord's, I spotted a beetle hanging by the window and place her in a jar. Rita Skeeter had no choice but to agree to my demands in keeping her pen down for an entire year."
That would explain why there haven't been any articles by Rita Skeeter since the day of the Third Task when she publicly revealed Harry Potter is a parseltongue to the world.
"Being an illegal animagus isn't that serious of a felon," Sirius says, knowing he got off the hook when he registered as an animagus a couple years back.
"Rita has been trespassing within Ministry and even made public reports on Ministry activities that shouldn't have been made known to the public," Isabelle points out. "if the Ministry were to learn she was trespassing while in an animagus form, the punishment would become harsher."
"True," says Samuel. "on another note, I brought up the mention of the Acromantula's to Dumbledore and the Board, and they immediately notified the Ministry of Magic and the Department for Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. Fudge is no doubt going to try to use this against Dumbledore, even though Dumbledore agreed for the safety of the students, the Acromantula's have to be destroyed."
"What did Hagrid have to say about that?" Lily asks Samuel.
"Don't know," says Samuel. "Dumbledore said he would talk to Hagrid about breeding illegal creatures."
"Bet you he's going to do something stupid to try and save those spiders," Harry mutters.
"I wouldn't be surprised," Artemis says as she drinks from her goblet.
The family says nothing as they continue to eat their breakfast. After breakfast, Harry sits by the fire in his usual spot, looking outside to see countless kids playing in the snow.
Harry returns to his early childhood memories, where he too wished to play in the snow like Dudley. Build snowman's, snow fights, snow angels, with nice hot chocolate by the fire like a normal child. The Dursley's never allowed him to enjoy the holidays, preferring to spoil Dudley rotten and making Harry work to keep their meals perfect and work to keep their house from becoming overcome by the snow.
Harry sits down, thinking carefully about his current situation. He knew Fudge was paranoid about where he was hiding, as he wasn't seen anywhere publicly. As Harry kept to shadows, not making any public appearances, Fudge became more and more paranoid that he wasn't doing anything to boost his claims on Harry's insanity.
Harry also wonder what Voldemort was doing and what he was plotting. His attempt to take whatever was hidden within the Ministry had failed, Samuel confirmed this to Harry much to Mrs. Weasley protests.
Mrs. Weasley continues to be a problem, hovering over Harry as if he was five years old and needed 'parenting' and watched. Sirius treated Harry more of an adult than Mrs. Weasley. When Sirius and Lupin spoke to him regarding matters, even when they knew Harry stood against these matters, Harry still listens because he respects them.
Mrs. Weasley continues to try and push her way to the top to make things go her way.
Harry needs to flee where no one could find. Go underground where no one could see him, Newt Scamander promised to take Harry out to learn a bit about blending in so he could move around unseen.
Newt Scamander was known for disappearing for long periods of time with no one from the Ministry capable of finding him.
Harry couldn't hide back his delight in learning the skills of Newt Scamander.
"Here he is," Mrs. Weasley as Mr. Weasley walks into the room. "daddies home."
The Weasley's all look at their father, who still looks pretty bang-up after his vicious attack.
"Did Fudge speak to you?" Sirius asks at once.
"Not yet," Mr. Weasley admits as Mrs. Weasley looks on in disapproval.
"He's skeptical about our story," says Kingsley. "if something isn't done soon, Madam Bones will have our heads."
Madam Bones, the Head of Magical Law Enforcement. She, too, was furious at the security breach at the Ministry and had been barking at Fudge to provide more funding and security resources to prevent another break-in and attack. Fudge told her he would look into the matter.
"Enough talk, let's eat," Mrs. Weasley snaps as they all gather for the Christmas dinner.
No one said anything as Mrs. Weasley looks up and down the table like a hawk for any possible signs of anyone talking about the Death Eaters and the recent attack.
After dinner, Harry retires to bed and enters a deep sleep.
A burst of high pitch laughter could be heard in the back of Harry's head as he sits upright knowing Voldemort was happy about something. Voldemort was happy, something good was going to happen soon. That meant it was going to be bad for Harry and his family.
Harry grabs his goblet and drinks the eggnog, hoping its smooth taste would help him take his mind off the Dark Lord. Nothing work, as Harry couldn't help but shake the feeling, Voldemort knew something that was going to happen that would be terrible.
Harry hated being left in the dark, not knowing what was going on. He needed his own spy among the Death Eaters. That meant he needed to find leverage on a high ranking Death Eater, that would force them to pass information to Harry instead of Dumbledore holding all the cards.
Mrs. Weasley would never approve of this method and would prefer hiding Harry in the cellar until the war was over, and it was safe to come out.
Harry needed to find a safe place where he could sleep without Voldemort consuming his every thought. Why couldn't Voldemort remain dead so he could worry about Quidditch and girls? He could be sitting by the fire right now with Blaise, laughing and joking as they rate the best looking girls at Hogwarts, Daphne and Tracy would scorn them for thinking such things, but it would be fun without any fear or worries.
Harry wonders what his life would have been like if Voldemort didn't exist. How his relationship with his parents would be like, and how much of a normal childhood he would have without fearing the Dark Lord's presence.
Ron Weasley grumbles as he sits on the bed that had been given to him.
Harry Potter was plotting to bring down the Ministry and take over himself. Harry Potter fancies himself to be some sort of king. Ron Weasley already caught wind of his new future court.
Ron knew Potter would stop at nothing to overthrow You-Know-Who and become the new Dark Lord. You-Know-Who is currently in the way of Potter.
The day was coming when everyone was going to have to pick a side, and Ron knew he would choose Dumbledore's side in a heartbeat. The only issue with that, as Percy pointed out, was Dumbledore was old and going senile. Ron would need to find a strong ally to protect him from Potter when Potter's conquest of the wizarding world begins.
