Ruben too didn't appear to have much to say, he stood mouth agape at her sudden apology to try and refrain from saying anything too typical, anything that would drag her back down to her paranoid state. She made it quite clear now that she barely trusted the boy, she made sure to make that known. -I don't know for definite why she is apologising, hell, I will have to go on a hunch.- "Y-yeah I... It's fine." Ruben progressed through the small room, finding a stool to sit on and moving with pensive movement as it seemed the awkward atmosphere was restricting his every move.

Where Urbosa was attentive before she now appeared to be looking anywhere but the only person on this tower which she had expressed herself she held little faith in, and here she was trying to act as though he wasn't present in the room with her. Still, the silence wasn't bound to last for long. "Do you... even know why I am apologising?" -He seemed apprehensive, perhaps he merely wanted to appeal to me by so absent-mindedly apologising, but it wouldn't hurt to elaborate. Wait... what am I doing?! Now I must be the one to address... that. With a voe at that! No... ultimately I have brought this upon myself-

Her thoughts were soon interrupted.

"Not entirely, no." Ruben Rose his head, a questioning look on his face to partner his response, in his expression, he urged her to be more intricate with the details. All of her efforts to avoid his gaze were immediately foiled but that one look she could feel he gave her.

"In Gerudo, with mother... we..." Her words fell short, that blush once again making an appearance on her face as she was quick to cover it up with her hands.

"Yeah, I remember." He reciprocated, careful to make his responses as blunt as possible as to not risk making the atmosphere tenser than it already was.

-Goodness, my face, get a hold of yourself! Urbosa, you don't need to be this way! He is Human as are you, there's nothing different with this Voe as there is with any other Vai... he's just... just... I kissed him.- Overwhelmed with the events and the current situation, her head sank into her arms, forehead leaning largely on her knees as she was hutched over sitting on the edge of the bed like structure. She let out a sigh, at her impulsiveness, her stupidity for actually kissing this boy, at making the situation worse than it had to be. -You... idiot, It didn't have to be this way.-

Ruben saw her hurt, saw her descend front that once confident and accusing demeanour of hers into a more conflicted and distraught heap on the abandoned bed. Despite this, he was grateful for the fact that her gaze had been diverted, for a tint of red had invaded his complexion also. -Should I say something? She's had to go through quite a bit, and to get me to this point, she was and still is risking a lot.- "T-thank you, by the way." He began, Urbosa remained in her slumped over composure, only shuffling slightly in her position at his words. "You were quite... cool, back there." His blush grew hotter with the compliment. His kind words towards her actions were enough to compel a reaction out of her as well, as she lifted her head in surprise. Not expecting such a thing from the boy whose throat she held a blade to, she responses to his remark

"I take it that view wasn't very long-lived." She mumbled, leaning against her arms for head support. He chuckled lightly at her remark.

"No, actually, think more of the contrary."

And with every statement, Urbosa felt herself grow more curious as to why exactly the boy felt this way, he could be attempting to appeal to her, they were bound to stay together for a while. "You have your reasons not to trust me, I understand why you acted the way you did." She nodded her head, wanting to hear his words further, wanting to know more about his thought process, about him. He hadn't fully disclosed how he had ended up in the Town in the first place, so technically he was still an untrustworthy companion.

"You still haven't explained yourself, might I add." With remnants of the blush still on her face, she felt those flustered feelings slowly dissipate as she now had another matter to focus on. Ruben felt tense once more, with his memory of his arrival practically being a blank slate, he still hadn't a clue as to how he got there, let alone a plausible enough answer for Urbosa. -At least, she isn't holding a weapon at my throat. Perhaps I came off too strong, She must think I am trying to appeal to her somewhat. I mean, she wouldn't entirely be wrong.-

"I... You will not believe me if I say, I don't know. The furthest I recall is hearing your voice, I follow and that was how the confrontation with your mother had begun." He breathed in, sitting straight to leave more room for his diaphragm, then exhaled. "The only thing I remember from before that is... I was walking through the desert... we got tired so-" Looking back on the events now, it had seemed that he had forgotten something, or much rather, someone. Urbosa found his sudden pause odd, and cocked her head in asking,

"What is it? Has something crossed your mind?" She saw his head dart up at the sound of her voice, in his expression she saw this distinct worry, almost fear, practically engraved into his face.

Given the entirely bizzare nature of these events, he hadn't had time to worry about the more external factor at play here. -Karu... where is he in the midst of all this, where was he when I was stuck in that town! No no no at this rate I will arrive late, and if I arrive late that means... father.- At his realisation, he felt the choking lump rise at his throat, it was as though he could barely breathe. Just the thought of his father was enough to panic him to such an extent that his eyes would water, not to mention, he hadn't even the slightest idea of where Karu was in all this.

Urbosa spectated his reaction in confusion, his eyes were practically wide and staring off into space, his lips trembling as his mouth stay ajar from some form of a realisation, if he made it out as though he didn't even have the most meagre of clues as to how he just so happened to appear then what was it that shocked him so?

"Karu..." He mumbled under his breath, shakily being a hand up to cover his mouth. "I...I'm going to be... late." His realisation, one that appeared so damning, so horrific as portrayed by the emotions on his face, was that he would arrive late. In seeing how very visibly fearful the boy was, Urbosa felt prompted to ask the question.

"Hey, what appears to be the problem? Are you okay?" She sat up, more assertive as Ruben's head quickly darted to the voice's origin, it was as though he even forgot she was there. At that moment, she saw the horrific amount of conflict in his eyes, something was most definitely wrong.

-It's comical... I show the heftiest amount of distrust towards this boy and here I am caring for him as though he were a friend... a friend. Something about him, maybe how genuine his words feel or how honest his stare is, makes me feel as though maybe he truly isn't a bad guy. He's just...- She sat up, analysing him further in an attempt to find an appropriate word to explain his current state. -Scared...-

"My companion, I was with him i-in the desert, he must be looking for me," Ruben swiftly stood up, beginning to take out his stress with frantic hand movements and shuffling around the small space as he saw fit. "How do I explain to him my situation? I can't I-I don't even know where he is, what is he doing? What if he..." it seemed as though his current worrisome nature had Rubbed off on Urbosa, she sat now as attentive as ever, maybe win fear that he would harm her out of this intense fear that he had, or that he would harm himself. Or maybe, it was just a worry for him in general. "What if he left... Father would know." he pondered further aloud.

His speech may have appeared as though they were incoherent mumblings of a mad man, but Urbosa was able to make out the rough details. -A parental figure is what he worries about? The father and this companion, what are they in all this? Also, being late? Perhaps his father is ill and he needs to return soon? I can't imagine any other scenario currently- She stood up, reaching out for him as he stay with his back turned frivolously chewing his nails as though they were his last meal, in contrast to her previous approach on the roof, she reached out this time with a comforting touch of the shoulder, urging him to calm down. That one action, that one touch of the voe, was enough to send an eternity's worth of endorphins through her body, leaving her with this momentous fluttery feeling all over. -Ignore that time Urbosa, ignore ignore ignore! this is serious now!-

"Hm?" He flinched, his sudden surprise coming out in the form of a small whimper, odd, he was scared to an extent that much was true, but for what reason was unknown as of yet. She felt a slight surprise at having heard the noise he had just omitted, it was a feeble squeak almost, from how much of a confident talker he seemed to be prior, the sound was most definitely a juxtaposition of the boy's entire character up until this point. She diverted her gaze, looking in the other direction as she responded with a hot face once more. -He's back, the injury.-

With an abundance of things on her mind, she struggled to find the words to communicate, the cause of her confrontation of the distressed Ruben in the first place, this only elevated the pressure as his eyes were now on her expecting some sort of response. "You... don't remem-" She was immediately cut off as Ruben spun around, taking a hold of her shoulders with a desperate and firm grip to ensure she heard his message. "Sa'oten! What are you-"

"Urbosa... please, I need to go. I must leave I..." His dropped head rose, his eyes glossy creating the most mesmerising of reflections against his onyx orbs, his fear, it had surfaced. "You are able to do something correct? I am unable to navigate this vast land on my lonesome, please if I stay I... I don't even want to think of what will happen." He shook, heavily, a worrying amount to compliment his already nerve evoked self, this was a cry for help in one of its most dire forms, begging.

"Whoa! A moment please?!" She exclaimed, shrugging his hands off and establishing distance as she took a step back. "What's wrong? Why are you acting so-so bizzare all of a sudden?" Ruben Stay shocked In place for a moment, coming to his senses and recalling his quite embarrassing actions out of desperation.

"I-I need to get home." He stated, in a manner as shaky as his limbs, "But I... I don't know how." In shame, his head fell, the only making eye contact with his feet as he stared at them in distress. "I only came here to transport fucking produce and return a bracelet that happened to not even be yours, and yet here I am stuck in a situation far graver than I can imagine." He fell to lean on the wall behind him with a depleted thump following his actions, he didn't care for the injury that burdened his back, the severity of the circumstances hit him far harder now than it had ever before, "And not to mention... I pulled you into this mess with me, your mother is pissed off with you beyond belief and I'm not even entirely sure how most of this happened." he laughed pathetically in his hysteria, his chuckles sounding as flat as an empty symphony. With his hair to cover his face as he still refused to look up, he let a tear to two fall as a result of his intense dilemma. "What do I do...?"

Urbosa, spectating this all with little intervention, stared at the boy with sympathy, she felt a common connection with him to some degree albeit she hasn't been in a situation nearly as compromising as his proved to be. Though she was practically thrown in a cell for around 2 weeks, she didn't feel quite as lost, quite as weak, as he did in those moments. She saw him cling to the wall, hair curtained around his face and tears being pulled to the floor as he expressed his panic. -His father must be poor if he feels the need to break down like this. Or... punishment. He could be scared of punishment but, to this extent...-

She took that sympathetic step back towards him, still wary of course of how he would act, but with how vulnerable he appeared the possibility of him being a threat dropped slightly in Urbosa's mind. In an attempt to console him, she reached out once more, this time more towards his arm, the thought of the kiss flustering her no longer as she was now involved in a matter much more demanding of a serious attitude. He let out a light sob as he felt her contact on her arm. "Worry not about me and my mother, you have enough on your plate as it is, I assume. However, if we are to attempt to leave Gerudo desert now, there is no doubt in my mind that we will be journeying till sundown, the guards will also be looking for the both of us, so staying at Kara Kara is most definitely not an option." She sighed, knowing of the difficult news she would have to deliver. "The best we can do is wait it out. I'm sorry." Ruben sniffed, gloomily nodding his head as he took in the information.

He knew to a certain degree that at the current moment nothing could be done, but that didn't stop him from holding onto the slightest bit of hope that something could be done, now his original more prominent suspicions were confirmed. He was stuck here. "Alright... I'll wait." He stood up now, without the support of the wall. He further murmured, "You...you don't need to apologise, if anything I should be the one to say sorry..." He breathed in, gaining further clarity in his voice as he continued. "I really have caused you so much trouble and-"

"Don't worry about me, I told you. My problems are my own, besides," Urbosa cracked a comforting smile. "I decided to help you escape." At her words, he felt this odd sense of closure, being reassured that something wasn't his fault, that he would have a bit of weight taken off of his shoulders, it was nice. The feeling was warm, inviting, one that he craved so. -She did that, for me. Though I doubt she even trusts me, it's nice. Her reassurance... It's nice.- He turned his head to the hand that held his arm, it was still there, that little bit of gentle support secured in that one place. It was enough to make him smile a smile of his own. He then turned his head to Urbosa, finally establishing eye contact with her to make his response ever so more meaningful.

"Thank you again. I really mean it. thinking back on this, if you hadn't come to rescue me, things would probably be far far worse." They stared at each other, stares intertwining in that moment of gratitude. And at this moment, Ruben placed his hand on top of hers, a movement that appeared quite sudden as Urbosa jumped due to the unexpectantly.

-That honesty of his is shining through once more, he must mean it. Despite how things are, it feels nice to help another like this, to be appreciated... is this how it feels to be chief?- She didn't recoil, she didn't pull away, nor did she come off as bashful, instead she nodded and excepted his advancement of gratuity with a light nod and an even wider smile. As the atmosphere settled, Ruben took his hand off of hers, wiping his face of the tears that remained and attempted to fix himself up a bit. Urbosa pulled away from her hand too, trying to refrain from making it too awkward.

"How is your back by the way? Any better?" She questioned, more in reference to how he threw himself on the wall just moments prior backwards. He sniffed, craning his arm over as he attempted to reach for his injury.

"I will be alright for now." He stated, now that his attention was put more towards it, it was as though he could feel the stinging be com more prominent, he tapped the part he could reach lightly, as though that action would miraculously lift him of this painful itch-like irritation but it only did well to make him wince slightly. "Still fucking hurts though." He cursed, making the girl chuckled at his remark.

"We were just lucky it wasn't too deep, the cloth will do for now. Just try and best the pain for the time being." He stretched painfully followed by a belated "Yeah" as he did so. It was clear now that the tense moments of heavy distrust were mostly behind them now, that was unless something horrific were to turn the tables. But other than that, it seemed like for the moment things were looking pretty alright.
