Not standing alone
Not standing around
Want to sit there waiting until I reach my ground
Not letting it go
Won't leave it behind
Won't pass me by, no not this time
Not standing alone
Not standing around
Not letting it go
Won't leave it behind

Harry knew that there were two things that were keeping him alive during his torment with Voldemort. Hermione and Ron were the only close friends still alive that felt like family to him. He was going to do everything within his power to make sure that he fought for them and the right to have people like that.

Voldemort may have taken his parents, the family who had never wanted him, his mentor, his godfather, the professor who guided him, his surrogate family, his fiancée, countless acquaintances and many enemies; some like Draco had been forgiven, but other like Snape Harry hated almost as much as Voldemort.

Voldemort had tormented his friends' family just as much. Harry would never forget the night when they reached the Granger residence after destroying the 5th horocrux to find it swarmed with Death Eaters. The Grangers didn't survive.

Weeks later they went to the Burrow. The whole family was murdered by Snape and he was there laughing manically. Harry remembered seeing Ginny dead. She had been standing behind any Weasley who was present at the house, the twins, the parents, and Percy. Later they had received word from Gringotts that Bill and Fleur were killed while breaking curses. Charlie had been killed in a horrible dragon accident a year earlier. Now both of his friends were like him. They only had each other for a family.

They would never forget the torment they were put through. They fought for each other. Not the rest of the living world. They fought for those who lost and those they cared about. For this reason the heartless shell of a man who had killed many was ended. The trio managed to turn the tragedies Voldemort gave them into a crusade to get revenge for the ones they loved. They fought so they could live their lives for them, knowing that that is what their loved ones would have wanted for them.
