I would never forget that day. I saw her and I knew this was the girl. She was the reason I traveled with this carnival as their psychic. I had to help her. My destiny was to assist her in reaching her destiny. This young girl would break the boundaries. You see most things have a between. Between light and darkness is shadow. Between in and out there is a doorway. Between night and day is twilight. But what is between life and death? She would be the one to give them that essential yet missing part.

I watched her grow. She didn't know it, but I never lost touch with her. I had been there before she knew me, but at the time I didn't know she was the one. I saw her father die. I watched her mother mourn while she waited. Then her mother moved on, and they both moved.

The day she arrived at her new home she met him. He was the one that would be by her side for the rest of eternity. She didn't know right away, but she soon fell in love. So many things stood in the way although this was the strongest love in all history. Both loved the other, but they didn't think they could be together, so neither admitted it. Then came the other man. He was sent by the darkness, though no one else knew this, not even him. He was sent to tempt her, to try to tear them apart.

If these two completed their destinies so would the world be complete. The darkness didn't want that to happen. In the end the light conquered, even managing to convert the vessel sent by their opponents. I watched as the world's missing piece was found and the truest of all loves went on throughout all eternity.

Tears were in my eyes the day I listened to the vows. My heart cried out in joy as I heard the cry of their first child. The blessed son of Mrs. Susannah Simon De Silva and Dr. Hector (Jesse) De Silva. Their lives were the epitome of happily ever after.
