Time to seal the deal! Three missions in one chapter!

I didn't plan this in the beginning, and I thought 'Yeah, maybe I can do one mission a chapter'. But, after recording my gameplay, I found basically nothing new to talk about the gameplay in these three missions. Thus this chapter happens.

To Vein Bloodborne: Rest in peace, fellow authors. Your work won't be forgotten.

And thank you for your support.

To Drcaus: I might try The Rising of Shield Hero later on, but no SAO Alicization. Reason: I can only understand SAO's plot to Mother's Rosario, anything after that is over my head.

To DevilsNeverCry: I will make one or two extra chapters after the mainline ends, then I will show the group the references.

Mission 16: Inferno

Return the Conqueror of the Fire Hell back to his domain!

"Just got a reminder." T.O speaks up. "The Distortion moves apply to all Gilgamesh's chargeable moves, not just the one I displayed. You can call them 'Just charge' if Distortion is a bit mouthful."

"OHHHH... got it!" Ruby gives him a thumb up as she checks through Pandora's skills. "Hatred and Revenge... so where do the name come from?"

"Originally, Pandora Box is an artifact in G... mythology." Oum almost said Greek, but remembers that team CFWY is here so he cuts the word. "It's said to hold all the evilness in the world."

"Well, if it was real, I don't think we have to deal with the Grimm." Coco grins as she takes a sip in her drink. "Remnant would be a lot better."

"But then racism would get worse." Fox counters. "Faunus already got enough troubles already."

"Ah right... no offense Velvet."

"It's okay Coco."

Once she's done shopping, Ruby starts the mission...

"Oh great." Falling to the depth of the laboratory, Dante groans as he tries to find his way up back to the surface. Then, the place slightly shakes up as some sorts of emergency doors close right on top of him. The fan beneath him stops working, and the area is now filled with green gas. "As if I didn't have enough obstacles already. After finishing that, he groans.

"Poison, great." Blake groans as the next text appears. "You know, I think Dante could use Gilgamesh and make some fire to blow up the gas. He wouldn't get hurt that much right?"

"The fire of the Adjudicator would like to test your statement." Yang jokes as Ruby starts beating the poor thing again, causing it to cough out another Blue Orb Fragment which gives her another health bar.

Entering the next area, Ruby has to fight the fishes again. However, there are several problems: Dante has no stun moves to keep the fishes in place, they move too fast (in game), and they're always out of reach. The only thing that could stun them is two shots of Epidemic in the face. And that's not easy to do since Epidemic can't aim horizontally and the fishes move constantly.

While Ruby's struggling with the fishes, T.O asks the others: "So, a small vote. The Thunder demon, the Chimera, and those fishes. Which one is the most annoying to you all?"

Results:

F&^K Blitz: Fox, Yatsu, Yang, Blake, Ruby (she uses Semblance to quickly raise her hand), Jaune

F&^K Chimera: Oum, Velvet, Nora, Pyrrha

F&^K the Fishes (Cutlass): the rest, including the Creator.

"Thank god that is fixed in the next one." T.O groans.

"High-endurance Grimm, I can understand. Annoying ones, that's a no." Coco says one thing that everyone is thinking.

After the fishes are dealt with (Half health lost due to the poison rather than the fishes themselves), Ruby sighs in defeat and heads to the next room. "And we need to do that mini-game..."

Entering the Game Room, Dante walks to the middle of the area and slightly turns his head back to see a statue of himself, with a dice quickly falling down from nowhere. Smirking once, he runs back and uses Rebellion to destroy the dice, not wanting to deal with the mind game.

"Oh thank you Dante." Ruby sighs gratefully. "Poison combined with the dice would be disastrous." Then the swords appear. "...At least they're not annoying like the fishes."

After eliminating the swords and regaining back her health, she starts making her escape...

"By the way." She turns to T.O. "Remember the armors and when you instantly killed them accidentally in Mission 9? You can do if they throw an energy ball at you and you reflect it back to them. And don't thank me, it's the reminder."

"Ohhhhh... thanks!"

"But how do we know if..."

"Just don't kill the leader too fast, Blake."

"For real?" Weiss finds it ridiculous. "Normally, if you see a stronger version of something, you should aim for that first, not to wait for it to make the move."

"Well, ask the developers, not me."

Through the Containment Room, out to the Foris Falls to heal then back to the Angel Creation, Ruby meets the first group of Bianco Angelos but no sights of the Alto Angelo yet. Then, when she is nearly out of the area, another group appears, and this time the whole gang appears. She starts dashing around and occasionally blocks some hits from the armors to bait the armor doing the energy-gathering thing. Then, when it's fired out, Ruby uses Prop with correct timing and deflects the attack back, hitting one of the armors and causes every single armor presented to be destroyed. Though, that's not all of them as one more Bianco and one more Alto appear, so she has to defeat them normally.

"That's an easy way to wipe out the whole squad." Yatsu comments.

"IRL, no one is that..." Oum holds it for a moment before saying: "Forgot that Ironwood did that once."

"Wait, he did what?" Everyone except Ruby turns to the Professor and asks the question.

"Just experiments went wrong, nothing serious." Oum chuckles at their expressions. "Just tried to see how far he can push the Atlas Knights' energy."

"...Let me guess, someone accidentally lost their steps."

"Something on the line, T.O."

Due to Dagon and his brothers being defeated and the Hell Gate closed, the ice is no longer there. Dante starts making his way back to the city of Fortuna. However, right after he reaches the other end of the bridge, a pack of Hellhounds appears in front of him. One fires a fireball, which is its own head, directly towards the Devil Hunter, although he quickly dodges it with no problems. It then starts regenerating the head again as Dante taunts them to a fight.

"That's unfair..." Ruby pouts and sulks as Zwei nuggles under her right arm. "I know they're bad, but making them being dogs..."

"...Oh boy." T.O says himself.

Oum instantly catches that, and remembers a certain 'puppy'. "That one, huh?"

"Well, they're not going to fight it soon..."

The dogs, or Basilisk, are actually easy to deal with, as Ruby just has to use Trickster to catch up with them then delivers the attacks. The only problem is that she doesn't want to hurt them until Weiss reminds her about the 'innocent people getting mowed down'.

...

Berial watches the sky where Savior is flying menacingly, as he says to himself: "A human, posing as God? How ridiculous."

"You don't say."

"What the..." Turning to his back, the Fire demon notices Dante sitting on his tail while 'fanning' himself with his right hand. He tries to swat the Devil Hunter away, but the Red Devil just laughs at the 'fun ride' as he jumps out of the tail before it slams him down.

"Wish you would've noticed me earlier..." Dante then starts swatting the fire on his coat away as he complains: "Now my coat's all charred."

Completely uncaring of Dante's words, Berial starts entering a fighting stance instantly as he says: "The infamous Son of Sparda! I will avenge my compatriots slain by your sword!"

"At this point, it's becoming a chore." Ruby sighs. "Maybe it's better in higher difficulty..."

"How about pure Royalguard to fight him?" Weiss suggests. "Give him a fair chance to show off."

"Hm... good point!"

But even with that, Berial can't deal too much damage, and compared to Nero, Dante's DT is just more versatile as it helps him not flinching at some hits and enhances a lot more moves. Also, Royal Release is broken.

Defeated by Dante's superior power, Berial is now backed into a corner. "You surpass my abilities... How shameful!"

Being a bit merciful, Dante points at the gate and says: "You can stay and die, or you can walk your ugly ass back through that gate. It's your call, pal."

The answer:

"I've retreated once, and will not do so again!" In the last attempt to kill Dante, Berial gathers the last of his strength into one place and bursts into flame, then launches his head to the Devil Hunter, planning to eat him alive. The only result he gets however is a bullet to the face that it makes the head dissipate.

"That's a letdown. I was hoping for a bit more than just a few sparks..." Dante says disappointedly as he pockets Ivory back to its holster.

"I just hope that it's that easy to kill a Grimm with just a single bullet." Coco says. "Bullets aren't cheap."

"Let alone from a pistol. But then again, it might be because it's infused with his demonic power." Fox replies.

"True. But we can enhance our melee weapons with Aura, so at least it's something."

"Not everyone has that much Aura and skills to do so Yatsu." The bunny girl reminds a part of reality.

Heading to the Gate, Dante starts picking up the weapon used to open the Gate...

"That's a melee weapon, isn't it?" That earns Weiss looks of curiosity. "He had to go and pick Gilgamesh up, while Pandora Box just flew right back at his hand."

"...Right." All nods.

The weapon starts reforming into its weapon self: a backplate on Dante's left shoulder with a skull-shaped front face, attached with two wing-shaped sheathes extended outward.

The music changes, and Dante smirks as he has the idea for the performance: He jumps up and starts pulling out numerous red swords then throws them towards the Gate. He then starts his poem during the attacks:

First I whip it out!

Then I thrust it!

With! Great! Force!

Every angle! It penetrates!

UNTIL!

With! Great! Strength!

I! RAM IT IN!

In the end...

We are all SATISFIED...

And you are set free...!

Turns out he has thrown the blades and forms them into a heart on the Gate with the last sword in the middle of the heart. Then, when he lands on the ground, he has a rose held in his mouth. He claps twice, and the swords in the heart explode, causing the Gate to collapse but leave the heart intact. To end the poem, Dante throws the rose into the last sword, causing the energy to deal damage to the heart, creating a crack in the middle that halves the heart, each half falls to the side.

"He's a talented folk, I will give him that." Coco smirks as everyone chuckles at the performance. "At least..."

"Just wait a bit, miss Coco." T.O interrupts. "I will show you something."

Once the Gate is down, the clear view of Savior is right in front of Dante. He raises his hand up and 'grabs' the statue as he states: "Don't look so big from where I'm standing. Now it's just you and me, Mr. Savior."

With that, it returns to gameplay as Lucifer is introduced. Blake then turns and asks: "So, what do you want to show us?"

"Do you notice the poem?" Instead of answering directly, he asks back.

"Well, I think it's okay..." Velvet replies. "But, to be honest, I don't understand it."

"Oh you will see." T.O then uses his power and starts writing the whole poem again in the air so everyone could read the whole thing. "Guess its meaning."

After fifteen seconds of connecting the words, Oum's body starts shaking while he puts his hands on his mouth in an effort to hide his laugh. Three seconds later, the two Faunus' faces resembles the color of Ruby's cloak in embarrassment, Yang and Coco start laughing out loud as they realize what the poem means, Nora starts hiding her redden face behind Ren whose face is having a tint of pink as well, same case with Pyrrha and Jaune, Ruby reads back-and-forth and still doesn't understand it, and the rest sighs disappointingly at the *ahem* innuendo blatantly shown in the poem.

"Really? REALLY?" Weiss asks back with a grunt in the end. "We could just get over it..."

"And miss your reaction to it? Nope!" T.O chuckles as Weiss throws a pillow directly at his face. "So, you like it?"

"That *laugh* is *laugh* gold!" Yang says, her words slightly apart because of the laugh. "Whoever came up with that, I approve!"

"Please no..." Blake now has a new objective: Stop Yang from doing any puns/poems that is anywhere close to this one.

"Well, to be fair, he does have the energy for that." Fox sighs again.

"Oh, he never gets laid." That earns laughs and looks of surprised to T.O. "Just joking. Although, it's never confirmed. There are materials said that he was in relationships before, but no more info further than that."

"Yeah, I DOUBT he hasn't done it already." Coco chuckles. "One-time thing still counts."

"Coco!" Velvet weakly scolds her friend while still wearing a red face.

Ruby finally remembers a 'certain' scene before, and her face finally uses the right color as she connects the dots. "DANG IT T.O! I do NOT need to be REMINDED OF THAT!"

"Jokes aside." Taking a small laugh at her outburst, T.O then says. "Let's get to the next mission. Oh and another scene awaits."

"I really forgot that one." Composing himself, Oum says with a smile on his face. "And now I remember the other. *Chuckle* It will be fun."

Mission 17: Adagio For Strings

Regain possession of Yamato!

ZERO things worth noticed until the end, so...

Sitting in the Opera House, Agnus is looking through his note under a single light in there. He then notices the appearance of a certain someone, as he starts:

"It was my, assumption, that those demons would prove, FAR, inferior, in the face, of your tactics."

The light suddenly changes to Dante who's now in the middle of the area, his right foot placing on a wooden chair. He then kicks it away as he replies in a musical tone:

"You summon and kill. Summon and kill. I fall to see the logic here. *Drama* IS, SANITY, the price to pay, FOR POWER!?"

Thunder and lightning appear, and the light changes back to Agnus, who's now having a human skull in his hand in place of the note.

"Humans. They are but stubborn and foolish. It takes, a journey to Hell, for them to accept and praise their God. A FACT, that TICKLES, irony's judgment."

Agnus breaks the skull with one hand, then blows the dust away to where Dante is, who's now lying on the ground waiting for his act.

"HA! And your judgments interest me not." Dante stands up and starts dancing: "For I am here! TO RECLAIM! What is RIGHTFULLY MINE!"

"YAMATO!" Landing at where Dante once was, Agnus in his demon form starts making moves with Gladius in his hand. "THAT, is WHAT you seek. And that is WHY I WAIT in YOUR PATH!"

What follows next is two confetti blasts with Dante sliding in while standing on a bench as he laughs: "You will fumble in your opposition of my quest." Then, after he shoots one shot to the air, he vanishes and appears on the top of Sparda's statue. "Though I encourage! For an opportunity to battle a being of such GRAAAAND DELUSION, as YOU, is a sweet fortune!" With that, he blows a kiss to end the show and starts the fight.

Everyone starts clapping/cheering for the show. Weiss admits: "Even when it's a serious situation, I have to give them a congrats for that performance."

"Who knows that stuttering dude could do so well in a scene, heh?" Yang comments. "He still needs to die after what he did though."

"The funny thing is that Agnus is the one starting it actually, not Dante." Ren follows. "The first words were from him. Dante just played along."

"You used to do the same thing right, T.O?" Ruby asks.

"That's Kuro's job, not me. I might joke, but not to this level."

"Remind me to do something like that if we have to fight terrorists, okay?" Coco says her teammates as she chuckles.

"Please don't. I can't perform." Yatsu declines, knowing that she MIGHT pull him in.

"I can't either..." Velvet agrees with Yatsu, at least they have the same thought.

"Count me in." The last member fist-bumps with the leader, giving shivers to the other two as they know that they would have to do the protection if those two really do so.

"Hey Ren..."

"No, Nora."

"Aw."

...

Skip the fight because there's nothing new. Also, Royalguard go brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Agnus gets flinched towards a bench and his demon form fades away after the last hit from Dante. Surprised at the result, Agnus starts asking with a frightened and confused tone: "How... can be such a difference... b-b-between us!?"

"You surrendered your humanity. It's that simple."

"But you are not human! So why am I inferior!?"

"A half-demon." Pyrrha corrects.

"A pot calls kettle black in this matter." Oum states.

"You assume humans are weak." Dante starts, and Agnus pulls out his note and starts writing with fear that he 'might' forget. "OK yeah, their bodies lack the physical ability of a demon."

"That's true." Jaune nods. "Not everyone can be Huntsmen or Huntresses."

"But humans possess something that demons don't."

"What? What is it that demons l-l-lack? Please, for the sake for my research! Please, tell me!"

Instead of answering, Dante pulls out Ivory and shoots the note out of Agnus' hand, causing a hole in every sheet of paper as they start flying away.

Weiss sighs in disappointment. "I was hoping he would just shoot him in the head though..."

Agnus starts trying to grab the paper in fear as Dante continues: "If you're gonna continue your research in the next world..." The mad scientist manages to grab one and looks through the hole in fear that his research is ruined, only for the fear to change as he sees the barrel of Ivory pointing directly to his right eye. "Do your homework first." A bullet in the face is what Agnus remembers as his body flinches and falls to the bench behind him, his arm drops down confirming his death, and a paper falls on his face to cover the bullet wound.

"And the rest is silence." Dante bows down to the 'audience' before he points Ivory over his head and shoots once, ending the scene with the sound of a dropping bulletcase.

"...Never mind, that works better."

"That's for Kyrie and the people who died in Fortuna." Yang is satisfied.

The circle of the middle of the area suddenly shines, signaling that it can be interacted with. Ruby heads towards it, and it leads to where Yamato is. Dante pulls the sword out, deactivates the ritual and heads outside...

"I know this thing is a major cultural artifact..." Dante walks to the broken fountain as he looks at the real Hell Gate. "But it's bad for the community." He then swings Yamato diagonally towards the Gate, inflicting sort of damage to the Gate. He then makes a few basic katana moves before turning back and sheathes the sword. The moment the sword's sheathed, the Gate starts falling down because of the one single cut.

"That's epic!" Ruby shouts.

"Damn, now I know why that Bull is so strong." Coco jokingly says. "I heard something of a 'Rule of Cool', I think I know why now."

"Yeah, screw logic! All for the coolness!" Nora shouts excitedly.

"Can't agree more than that." T.O and Oum chuckles.

"You get it back?" Trish appears from out of nowhere and asks the question.

"That's one sword." Dante shows a sheathed Yamato so Trish can see it.

"And one to go." After a small silence, she asks: "Need some company?"

"...Nah. I think you'd better help the others. Try to get them as far away from here as possible."

"Got it."

"Really? I want to see her fighting." Nora pouts.

"You can play as her in this game, but... you're just going to replay Dante's missions."

"What about Nero?"

"Lady will handle it Blake."

...

Mission 18: The Destroyer

Confront the Savior!

...

"You destroyed the Hell Gates!" Sanctus' voice can be heard where Dante lands, which is some kind of top of a building.

"Yeah... kinda tainted the view." Dante jokingly replies. "So... you ready to fight now or what?"

Alto Angelo, possessed by Sanctus, asks back: "You traveled this far to fight me? You could NEVER touch the power of the SAVIOR!"

"Sounds like you're overcompensating."

"Uh, no joke. I don't think Dante could actually go one-on-one with that statue." Jaune asks, a bit intimidated.

"Besides, I didn't want you to get a creak in your neck from looking down at me."

"Silence!"

Weiss shakes her head. "That would trigger him."

"What would it take for you to alter your position?"

Dante laughs then says: "How about death!"

Sanctus immediately orders the Bianco Angelos to attack Dante, but he just hits some away with the sheathed Yamato then throws it at the Savior. Some Bianco get hit while the Alto simply raises its legs to avoid it.

"It would earn a laugh if it's a comical show." Fox jokes.

Meanwhile Dante uses the armors and the flying debris as steps to jump towards the Savior, and when he's close enough, he grabs the Yamato then throws Rebellion to the leg of Savior, making it as a place to stay on.

"So, you ready to eat your words?" Dante jokes as he touches the statue.

"...Ah right!" Yang recognizes the joke as she laughs. "That's good!"

"Do as you wish, your attempts are futile." The armor turns away for a second, then delivers a swing back. However, Dante has already jumped into another platform, and he pulls out Ivory and shoots the armor down.

Seeing it being empty, Dante looks up to the statue and says to himself: "Hm... the true form must be inside... Looks like it's up to me to take care of ugly here!"

"Oh, we're REALLY going to fight this." Pyrrha says. "It's like fighting a whole city at once."

As the gameplay comes in, Ruby has to ask: "How are we going to fight this?"

"Just break the blue jewels." T.O says. "That's all of this mission about."

"...Really?"

"This mission got criticised hard, Blake."

"But how? We're not ANYWHERE near melee ranged! And I doubt the guns..."

"Devil Trigger enhances bullets, especially Jealousy." That earns T.O looks of confusion. "The gatling gun. Also, Royalguard works."

...

Skip

Dante jumps and stabs Yamato into the jewel on Savior's chest, but he can't push it through too far.

"Even Yamato is powerless in opposition..." Sanctus taunts as Savior tries to grab Dante. "To the Savior!"

Not fazed by the words, the Devil Hunter jumps out and pulls Ebony and Ivory out and aims at Yamato. "If the exterior is solid..." He then fires a volley of bullets towards the sword. The bullets stack perfectly after each other, creating enough force to push Yamato through the jewel and into the area where Nero is. Landing on the same top of tower, he ends his sentence: "Then you gotta take it out from the inside."

"We need him for our side." Coco concludes. "Those Grimm won't stand a chance against him."

"Agree." Everyone nods.

The Savior stumbles as Sanctus asks in fear: "NO! What have you done!?"

Not caring at all, Dante starts shouting: "Time to wake up kid, you're missing out on all the fun!"

No response.

"Come on Nero, wake up!" Ruby and Nora shouts.

Dante shouts the young knight's name again, and this time Nero wakes up. He then grabs the sword with his Devil Bringer and cuts the wall concealing him out, freeing himself from the prison.

"YES!" The two shout again in excitement.

"Calm down you two." Weiss says. "I know you're happy, but don't shout right next to us."

"Sorry!"

"It's up to you from here, kid!" Nero then hears Dante talking/shouting to him. "An opportunity to save the world doesn't happen every day you know! Savor it."

"...This I will savor." Nero acknowledges the encouragement as he stands up and heads to the centre core of Savior. "Let's clean up this mess!"

"Time for the finale!" Ruby shouts again, and this time Weiss wacks her head with a nearby book. "Ouch!"

"Told you, didn't I?"

"Time to end the game, huh?" Coco leans back in her seat. "Let's see how it comes."

"You think it would end that easily?" T.O chuckles. "Just wait and see."

Chapter 15 end!

I forgot about the fishes =.= it's easy for Nero but Dante plus the gas is just infrustration.

Once I'm done with the mainline of this story (next chapter), I will stop updating this story to turn focus to other stories (V has to wait for a year already). The extra chapters will come when I feel like doing so.

See you guys soon!
