We now return to Drake and Ashley back in their seats. However, Drake still looked like he just woke up and Ashley looked concerned.
"We're back." Drake said with a weak smile. "Sorry for the sudden interference, but… I guess I wasn't myself."
Ashley frowned. "You're sure that you want to go on?"
"Hey, hey. I've been through worse. You know that." Drake said, waving it off. "Just give me a couple of minutes to fully recover."
"Um, alright?" Ashley said before looking at the camera. "For those just turning in, Drake's mind was telepathically by Psycho Mantis from Metal Gear Solid. Even though I am STILL confused how he does that."
"This is the guy whose powers could break the fourth wall, Ash." Drake muttered, holding his head. "Still, to think that I would be his first victim."
Ashley narrowed his eyes. "Thankfully, Xero was able to stop Psycho Mantis. It is a good thing that Cacey got us his number."
"...It is a shame that I wasn't awake to hear it. I really appreciate knowing that he and Maurice are actually watching our show." Drake frowned.
Suddenly, he felt a slight vibration. Reaching into his phone, he pulled it out and inspected it. His eyes then widened before answering it.
"Y-Yo?" Drake asked.
"Yeah, I just wanted to know that we've been keeping an eye on it." Xero reassured.
Drake gave a small smile. "Dude, you have NO idea how happy to hear that. I thought that we would have to reveal it at the end just like the first Battle of the Luminaries."
"Yeah, well, no offense to Tiny, but he is clearly not as good at multitasking at me in that case." Xero boasted.
"Sweet!" Drake grinned. He then paused. "Hey, Xero? Can I ask a big favour?"
"Um, depends." The rabbit said, sounding unsure.
"Can I call you later? There is something I want to talk to you in private." Drake asked.
Ashley raised an eyebrow at this.
"Um, sure. Like I said, I am a skilled multitasker." Xero said.
"Great!" Drake grinned. "I'll call you later! For now, we have to make up for lost time!"
"Yeah, I have to make sure that Psycho Mantis won't pull a stunt like that again." Xero nodded. "See you later!"
With that, Drake happily hung up with Ashley looking confused. The former then turned towards Ashley.
"Sorry about that, boys, girls and non-binaries!" Drake apologized. "Shall we continue, Ash?"
"Um, sure?" The wizard said, looking unsure.
BUZZ LIGHTYEAR
NODE: KINGDOM HEARTS/TOY STORY
Drake and Ashley both blinked twice at this.
"...Well, THIS is an interesting note to continue on." Ashley noted.
"Yeah, I thought he would take the Tangled Ever After route and be based on the Saturday Morning Cartoon, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command." Drake agreed.
"Yes, but that would not explain Woody." Ashley pointed out. "He was a party member in Kingdom Hearts 3 too!"
Drake let out a deep sigh before rubbing his head. "Can we just cut to Wally and Catherine already? I know I said that I am ready. But not for heavy thinking."
The camera just cut to Wally and Catherine who looked just as confused.
"Um, okay. Toy Story is a tetralogy film series. Normally, this would be the part where Ah says that this is ANOTHER one of Disney's many properties." Wally said before smirking. "But while they DID get distributed by Disney, it was produced by Pixar!"
"It was actually the honour of not only being the biggest milestone of the Renaissance Age of Animation, but being THE first fully-computer animated feature film AND the first feature film for Pixar!" Catherine smiled.
Wally blinked twice. "Ah thought that was Shrek."
"No, Shrek just NORMALIZED CGI which is arguably just as… Prominent." Catherine said, rolling her eyes. "I'll rant more, but we already have done Shrek and I would like to rant on-topic."
Wally blinked twice. "Um, alright? Anyway, the concept is simple. It is like any other world. Only the toys are actually alive. And the creators have done some amazing things with it. Like in the first movie, it is about a cowboy doll called Woody who is concerned about being replaced by the more futuristic action figure, Buzz Lightyear."
"Yeah, that totally isn't a social commentary of the status of sci-fi toys in the slightest." Catherine said before sighing. "Long story short, Woody got jealous and tried to put Buzz out of commission. And by that, I mean he tried to get him stuck behind the desk, but ended up knocking him out the window. Even though it was an accident, the toys thought that he did it on purpose. As they should because he shouldn't have done it in the first place."
"At least it was the Black Friday reel Woody." Wally reassured before shuddering. "It almost feels like a skit from SNL."
"So yeah, the rest of the problem is kinda formulaic. Woody and Buzz ended up stuck together, they have to deal with each other's bullshit and they learned to put up with each other and become friends." Catherine said. She then smiled. "But sometimes it is not the destination, but the journey. And it was a fun one!"
"And they continued the story with 2, 3 and 4, expanding on the lore and what it is like to be a living toy! And unsurprisingly, each movie had somehow managed to stop the rest in mah opinion!" Wally grinned.
"Not only that, but it has spawned several shorts, comic books, literature and video games. There is even a spinoff cartoon based on the show that Buzz Lightyear is from in-universe." Catherine agreed. She then paused. "There is apparently going to be a new film based on how the Buzz Lightyear franchise came to be."
"No lie?" Wally's eyes widened at this. He then went to check on his tablet. "Well, I'll be. Kinda weird to hear the story taking place in Andy's bedroom, but it IS a prequel so I guess it makes sense."
"So yeah, Toy Story is one of Pixar's most well-known properties and not without good reason!" Catherine noted. "So it was not surprisingly, that they included a Toy Story world in Kingdom Hearts 3! Back to you guys!"
"Thanks, guys!" Drake grinned.
With that, the two both looked at the picture of Buzz.
"...Okay, at least Buzz knows that he is at a disadvantage and had Xero to play the volume to the maximum level so that they would be too much in pain to hear his announcement and run into the arena without being seen." Drake noted.
"Yes, but even though everyone thinks that he is a toy, he would have to get an elimination sooner or later and the moment that he does, his cover will be blown because this is a "Big Guy Blocker" round!" Ashley reminded.
Drake's face fell. "Oh, right…"
"Sure, because unlike Rapunzel, he is based on his Kingdom Hearts appearance where his laser is actually real and his appearance in the games should help him out, but even then, how is he going to last long?" Ashley asked. "I mean, you saw what happened with even THE Wonder Woman."
Drake just shrugged. "...I mean if that incident with Psycho Mantis has taught us anything, anything is possible at these things."
"I KNEW you were going to say that yet and I am STILL frustrated.
PALUTENA
NODE: SUPER SMASH BROS/KID ICARUS UPRISING
Drake's eyes lit up. "Oh, hell yeah! It is Palutena!"
Ashley raised his eyebrow with a smirk. "Heh. It is rare for you to root for a holy goddess."
"While usually whether they are good or not, they usually have a tendency to talk down to other people as if just because they live in the heavens, they are above all of them." Drake explained. "With her, I could tell that if she does that, she is just playing with you."
Ashley just chuckled. "Fair enough… Now guys. I think you have to talk about it."
The camera then focused on Wally. "Indeed, we do. Now Kid Icarus is a series of platformer/shooter games named by Nintendo where in Japan, it is called Hikari Shinwa: Parutena no Kagami which translates to: Myth of Light: The Mirror of Palutena."
"The game takes places in Angel Land, a place that is definitely influenced by Classical Mythology." Catherine explained. "The plot is simple. The ruler of Skyworld, Palutena has been kidnapped by the rules of the UNDERworld, Medusa and her bodyguard, Pit has to go rescue her. Yeah… You could tell that this is a very old game."
"The game has spawned a sequel called Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters where Pit has to go find and use sacred relics to find a demon army." Wally explained. "The games… Were okay. They weren't awful. They weren't even that bad. Especially for that era, but they pale in comparison to other games in its franchise as it never got a single mention outside of these two games."
Catherine paused. "Didn't Pit show up in Captain N?"
Wally growled as Catherine suddenly smirked. The two then shouted in each other's faces.
"WE DO NOT TALK ABOUT CAPTAIN N!"
Wally immediately reeled back, realizing what Catherine had done. The latter just giggled as Wally just looked annoyed.
"But yeah, other than THAT appearance, Kid Icarus didn't get much focus." Catherine shrugged. "UNTIL Super Smash Bros Brawl and he appeared in the game with an extremely-noticeable glow-up. Despite having the same hair, wings and outfit, it truly felt like Pit was a brand-new character."
"This was mostly a prologue to its sequel, Kid Icarus Uprising. Now to say THAT game got a glow-up. Not just in character designs, but also personality, lore and even the genre!" Wally grinned. "After Sakurai has taken over it, he turned it into 3D where you would be fighting in air shooters or ground combat."
"And it turned both Pit and Palutena into so many iconic characters, but also gave us Pittoo, Viridi, Hades and Magnus!" Catherine smiled. "The game even plays like a TV series, going over various arcs and against different antagonists!"
"The game has spawned much love as they went from a niche franchise to one of the best one all time. All with ONE game!" Wally grinned. "Back ta ya guys!"
The camera then went back to Ashley. "Thanks, guys!"
"Now Palutena is an interesting case because in Smash 4, she is the only one besides Megaman to have original Customs moves." Drake explained.
Ashley's eyes widened at this. "Really?"
"Yeah, along with having her moveset in Ultimate where she has a semi-homing energy bullet spam, a mid-range exploding flame orb, teleportation and a counter AND a projectile deflector, she also has…" Drake said before taking a deep breath. "Summoning an aura of holy energy around her, sending herself like a missile like Luigi's Green Missile or Squirtle's Skull Bash, granting herself super speed, gliding, doing an explosive to propel herself upwards, increases her speed AND jump height at the cost of making her more light and creating fireworks."
After that, he panted heavily. Ashley just looked in awe. "Wow… I wonder why she got the variety in terms of Custom Specials. I mean, of course I could understand Megaman because he has multiple weapons to pick from, but her."
"I mean even though she isn't really shown in combat unless she was brainwashed. She IS a goddess and she DID help Pit all of his cool powers so it isn't a stretch that she can't do the same to himself." Drake shrugged.
LOVE HEART
NODE: KING OF FIGHTERS/SKY LOVE
"...Not going to lie, based on what name alone, you would think that she would be some kind of magical girl." Ashley mused.
Drake let out a hearty laugh. "True that! True that! Now I am not even pretend that I know anything about Pachislots so I am going to just go to Wally and Catherine."
The camera turned to Wally and Catherine who both looked concerned.
"Um, okay, I am going to be blunt, Pachislots is never one to be rich with history. That is why a majority of Mui Mui's segment is more explaining the concept of Pachislots than Mui Mui's actual sub-node." Catherine frowned.
"Aye, Ah know what ya mean." Wally frowned before reading his tablet. "The story is about sky pirates. Which is already cool by default, but due to the nature of Pachislots, unless you have a LOT of tokens, ya will NOT go too far unless ya are REALLY lucky."
"Indeed. But we CAN start with the first game where it all began. The skies were peaceful. Until Love Heart's father has been killed by this ruthless band of sky pirates called the Devil Pirates." Catherine explained. "So Love has taken his previous spot as captain of the Peace Pirates."
Wally tilted his head to the side. "Isn't that an oxymoron?"
Catherine merely shrugged. "Eh. Anyway, despite what we do not know about the series, the series must be doing SOMETHING right. Ignoring the obvious fact that Love Heart got into King of Fighters XIV period, it still spawned FIVE games."
Wally's eyes lit up at this. "Ooh."
"...Too bad XIV will be her ONLY appearance." Catherine said.
Wally jumped at this. "Wait, what?"
"Yeah, apparently SNK has lost the rights to Sky Love. Which means Love Heart will most likely get the K'9999 treatment where she will be retconned out of existence." Catherine frowned.
"Damn…" Wally winced before realizing something. "Wait. What do you think they will do for Nakoruru's team?"
"I don't know. And sadly, we may not know for a long while because they are covering the obvious mainstays of KoF first." Catherine said. She then shook her head. "But yeah, I think we are getting off-topic. Sorry, Drake and Ashley."
The camera then went to a frowning Drake. "It's fine, Cat…"
"So this may be Love Heart's last UVR-styled tournament unless she is invited as a Mystery Fighter." Ashley frowned. "Do you think she will have the skills?"
"Maybe. She could create a sword of light out of nowhere, but she is not too shabby in hand-to-hand combat as well." Drake shrugged. He then paused. "Also, correct if I am wrong, but one time she had a cannon underneath each arm before firing them."
Ashley jumped at this. "O-Oh, she has a decent amount of strength…"
"Indeed. Let's hope that she will make a big mark here. Because timeline-wise, her last appearance was in… SNK Heroines." Drake said in disgust.
Ashley winced at this.
AURON
NODE: KINGDOM HEARTS/FINAL FANTASY X
"Oh hell yeah! It's Auron!" Drake grinned.
"Indeed, while I prefer mages, even I won't deny his aura of power and experience coming from him." Ashley chuckled. "Also, I noticed that he is in the same section as his fellow Final Fantasy swordsman, Cloud."
"Yeah, what are the odds? Especially when they are not even representing the same "main" node." Drake noted. He then looked to the side. "Yo, Wally, Catherine, small warning: Final Fantasy X is one of Tiny's favourite Final Fantasy and he will defend its characters to the end."
The camera then went to an annoyed Catherine. "Sooo, no pressure. But fine, I was complaining about other games needing more representation than so yeah, I have no problem covering X."
"As the Roman Numeral would suggest, X is the tenth entry in the Final Fantasy series. It also holds the honour of being the first Final Fantasy to appear in the Playstation 2." Wally said. He then grinned. "And it shows! No, really, sure they are a bit dated now, but compared to the simple graphics of the previous Final Fantasy 3D games!"
"I know, right! Now the story is about Tidus, your basic haughty yet cheery sports star who has the high life in this hi-tech city called Zanarkand. However, then this giant monster called Sin." Catherine started before rolling her eyes. "I know. I think it is dumb too. It has attacked Zanarkand. And Tidus was joined by his father's friend, Auron who clearly knows more than he is letting on."
"Tidus was then transported ta the past. Or he first thinks. Apparently, Zanarkand was destroyed many centuries ago. Also, apparently Sin is still here as well. And there is one way to defeat it. Use a summoner." Wally said. "There is more, but we could only go so much without going into spoiler territory."
"We CAN tell you about the Battle System. Unlike previous games where it is Real-Active Action, it is more turn-based. Also, instead of experience, you have access to use a Sphere Grid." Catherine smiled. "It is like a skill tree where you use the points to access better stats and new moves. Every character uses the same Sphere Grid. However, each and every character has a specific role."
"...Except for Kimahri." Wally piped up.
Catherine narrowed her eyes. "Hey, don't knock Kimahri! He is supposed to be a jack-of-all-trades! No, really, he could be anything you want him to be because he has access to everyone's Sphere Grid!"
Wally blinked twice. "Um, cool? But why would people want an extra mage when we have Lulu, thief when we have Rikku and... "
Catherine scoffed, crossing her arms. "I swear, and I'M the negative one!"
Wally chuckled nervously. "But yeah, there is a lot to do. Like because summoners are an important part of the plot, the party's summoner, Yuna's summons are given more emphasis, even having their own HP!"
"And there are sidequests galore! Like Blitzball!" Catherine nodded. "...I still don't know how everyone could go around the water while holding their breath."
"Probably the same way that Tidus, Wakka and Rikku could do so?" Wally asked, scratching the back of his head.
"But yeah, the visuals and music are amazing as well." Catherine said. "And then it got its own sequel…"
"...Aye, I don't… Think it is worth shunning over, but it kinda feels…Fanservice-y." Wally said.
"Fanservice-y doesn't even cover it!" Catherine snapped. "They put several emphasis on the Dresspheres!"
Wally crossed his arms, annoyed. "Oh, come on. Not ALL of the Dresspheres are skimpy. Hell, one of the best Spheres is a goofy mascot suit!"
"Yeah, at least they are giving Moogles the love they deserve." Catherine muttered, rolling her eyes. "So yeah, despite… That. Final Fantasy X is a prominent game in the series and deserves more love than hate."
The camera then went back to Drake. "Thanks, guys!"
"Now, Auron is the "Samurai" class of the game." Ashley said. "...Even though those giant swords are in no way katanas."
Drake merely shrugged his shoulder. "Every Japanese sword is a katana?"
Ashley rolled his eyes. "Anywayyyy, Auron is slow, but strong AND durable and his speciality is piercing through heavy armour. Also, he could inflict debuffs, either lowering their attack, defense, magic or magic defense."
Drake blinked twice. "Why would Auron want to lower someone's MAGIC defense when he is a PHYSICAL fighter?"
"You would never know." Ashley shrugged. "Especially when you know Orange-Ratchet loves his mages."
"True…" Drake mused. He then smirked. "He may not be the protagonist of his game, but hey, who knows maybe that this will be HIS story."
KULA DIAMOND
NODE: KING OF FIGHTERS XIV
Drake couldn't help, but help at this. "Hey, it's Kula!"
Ashley paused. "A bit off-topic, but I have to ask."
Drake raised an eyebrow. "What is it?"
"How could you eat all of that ice cream and still look petite?" Ashley asked.
Drake rolled his eyes. "ANYWAY, despite being close with K', her fighting style is described as being the anti-K."
"Because she wields ice?" Ashley asked.
"Well, yeah, she has a few moves that are similar to K' like his jumping uppercut and kick that sends out a projectile." Drake noted. "Not to say that Kula is a complete clone, mind you. She could send out ice breath, create ice skates on her feet and even freeze her enemies frozen."
Ashley nodded his head. "Basic cyromancer stuff."
"Also, in Maximum Impact: Regulation A, she could send a giant snowman to fall right onto her opponent's head." Drake explained.
Ashley did a double take at this. "Wait… What!?"
"Yeah… Maximum Impact was such a weird series." Drake sighed. "...And that is why I miss it so much…"
Then, the Mystery Alarm went off. Ashley jumped before slowly turning to Drake. The latter noticed this and rolled his eyes.
"Good grief. I am going to be fine!" The vampire scolded. "I doubt that Xero will let TWO super-strong psychics! Especially when you told me how furious he is at Psycho for doing that to me in the first place!"
"T-True… Let's go into these positive thoughts…" Ashley said.
KATNISS EVERDEEN
NODE: THE HUNGER GAMES
Drake and Ashley blinked twice. The former then took in a deep breath.
"This girl is on fireeeeeeee!"
Ashley glared at Drake after he let out the most iconic line of one of Alicia Keys' songs. The two then shared an awkward silence.
"...Yeah, I got nothing." Drake muttered. "Like I know the BASICS of the Hunger Games, but I never got anywhere beyond that."
"Me either." Ashley shrugged before turning to the side. "Looks like it is you guys to the rescue once again."
The camera then went to a nodding Wally. "Aye! Leave it to us! Now the Hunger Games is a tetralogy of adult books that takes places in a distinct dystopia. Particularly in a controlling nation of Panem that is divided by 12 districts and the Capitol."
"As punishment for the people of Panem for a past rebellion AND because the people in charge are THAT twisted enough. They would have youths chosen at random from a lottery to participate in a killing game, not unlike Danganronpa." Catherine said in disgust. "Twenty-four have to go against each other and kill them while everyone is required to watch."
Wally shook his head in disgust. "I am actually stunned that Monokuma didn't have anything to say. Junko seems like the type of person who would LOVE the Hunger Games."
"Probably didn't have any time to snark under such short notice." Catherine muttered, rolling her eyes. "Anyway, the sister of the main protagonist, Katness Everdeen has been chosen to be part of said Hunger Games. Despite being only TWELVE."
"Sheesh, at least the kids in Danganronpa were at least fifteen at the youngest." Wally frowned.
"So Katniss has opted to go in her place. There, she would team up with male participant of the Hunger Games, son of a baker, Peeta Mellack." Catherine explained. "There, they went on a cruel and harsh journey."
"Like I said, the story has spawned four books and like most books, it has gotten its own movie trilogy." Wally said before pausing. "...And apparently a bunch of tabletop games for some reason?"
"Yeah, and don't forget the amount of Hunger Games stimulators on the internet." Catherine noted. "Also, there is this stupid love triangle between her, Peeta and Gale."
"That is not unexpected fer these things." Wally shrugged. "So yeah, that is as much as we could give on the Hunger Games. Even for a non-fan, it is impossible not ta know about it and frankly, from what Ah seen, Ah could see why. Back ta ya."
The camera then went back to Ashley nodding. "Thanks, guys."
"Okay, I KNOW that Katniss' weapon of choice is a bow and arrow, but otherwise there has to be more than that." Drake mused, rubbing his chin. "She obviously wouldn't survive the Hunger Games if that was the case."
"Indeed." Ashley nodded before reading his tablet. "Apparently, she also used a knife, gun and even snares before."
"A knife and gun I could get, but it may be hard to use snares in an open arena like this." Drake said.
"Perhaps." Ashley shrugged. "But even though we don't know much about her series, we know enough that will not stop her."
Drake smirked at this. "Yeah, they call her the Girl on Fire for a reason."
WOLF O'DONNELL
NODE: SUPER SMASH BROS/STAR FOX
"And just like that, we now see all three members of Star Fox." Ashley noted. "Mind you, but they are still more spaced out than the mainstream Ikari Warriors, but still worth pointing out."
Drake merely shrugged his shoulders. "I must say, Wolf kinda surprises me with his new outfit. It looks more like a recolour than something that he will actually wear."
"Maybe he gets it from Panther Caroso?" Ashley shrugged.
Drake let out a laugh at this. "Hey! Good thinking! You are really getting used to this!"
"...I don't know how to feel about this." Ashley frowned before shaking his head. "Now about Wolf and how he is different from Fox and Falco."
"Well, he is supposed to be the "heavyweight" being slower, but stronger." Drake said. "HOWEVER, you wouldn't know that he is the "slow" one when his attacks are still fast."
"I could imagine." Ashley nodded.
"Yeah, unlike Fox and Falco who uses hit-and-run tactics, Wolf is more of a combo character, using both strength and speed to overwhelm his opponents." Drake noted. "There is a reason why he is a good pick-up-and-play character."
"Heh. I never expected an antagonist to be pick-up-and-play." Ashley said in awe.
Drake just laughed. "Well, while he may seem like a big, bad wolf, he is full of surprises."
DR. PSYCHO
NODE: DC COMICS/WONDER WOMAN
BIG GUY ALERT!
Drake and Ashley's faces immediately turned sour.
"...What's there even to say about this piece of shit?" Drake asked. "Even Junko hates this guy and not even in a "Ew, hope" kinda way."
"...Well, we CAN say that HE is the reason why some people are treating the Harley Quinn cartoon as a Family Guy with a coat of DC paint." Ashley said. "Other than that, he was the ONLY one of Harley's group that I didn't at least appreciate to a certain degree. And that was before his betrayal."
Drake just let out a deep sigh. "Let's just get this over with. Dr. Psycho has about the same basic powers as… Well, Psycho Mantis, only not as strong, thank Dracula. Telekinesis and Levitation. Also, telepathy."
"Oh, don't remind me… While not objectively one of the worst things he did, remembering how he made King Shark relive his worst nightmare of killing his own brother." Ashley shuddered.
"Thankfully, he is extremely vulnerable to sub-zero temperature, giving him a "brain freeze". Drake noted.
"Wait, extremely vulnerable to sub-zero temperatures?" Ashley asked before giving a dark smirk. "In THAT case, he has chosen the worst fight to interrupt."
Drake returned the dark smirk. "Yeah, never thought I would be rooting for "PK Freeze" spam."
CHIN GENTSAI
NODE: KING OF FIGHTERS XIV
Ashley blinked twice. "Who goes into a battle drunk?"
"...You clearly never heard of Drunken Boxing before." Drake pointed out.
Ashley raised an eyebrow. "Drunken Boxing?"
"Yeah, it is a Chinese martial art that imitates a drunkard." Drake explained.
Ashley blinked twice. "Wait… "Imitate"? But Chin is CLEARLY drunk!"
"Don't look at me. You know as well as I know that some media tends to exaggerate certain things." Drake pointed out. "Did you know that kunais are actually not traditional throwing weapons and that real ninjas wear dark blue instead of black."
Ashley frowned. "I… Guess."
"Anyway, while exaggerated, Chin is no less capable of fighting." Drake pointed out. "His movements are unpredictable. Also, you see his gourd, it is not just for drinking. It also makes use of a makeshift gourd."
Ashley rolled his eyes. "Sure, why not? Use what you know."
"Also, he could use alcohol to use fiery breath." Drake said.
Ashley paused. "...This man is a living liver disease."
Drake rolled his eyes. "Thank you, Mr. PSA."
IBUKI
NODE: STREET FIGHTER V
Ashley tilted his head to the side. "...What kind of ninja outfit is THAT?"
"I don't know… Ibuki looks more like a ninja COSPLAYER than an actual one." Drake frowned. "Very jarring too as her original outfit is actually one of the very few authentic ninja designs."
"Not helping is that in the same game, Sakura has FINALLY ditched her sailor fuku." Ashley sighed.
Drake sighed as well. "Let's just move on to her fighting style. At least then she could put her money where her mouth is. She has the usual ninja fare. Throwing kunais, bombs, using a ninja kite to glide through the air. She could even get out a giant shuriken."
Ashley blinked twice. "A GIANT shuriken? Isn't the point of ninjas is that they are supposed to be stealthy?"
Drake growled. "Shut up! It is cool!"
Ashley rolled his eyes. "Alright, alright. As long as she could do well."
"She should. She has a lot of experience with the Street Fighter games." Drake mused.
BOWSER
NODE: SUPER SMASH BROS/SUPER MARIO BROS
BIG GUY ALERT!
Drake grinned. "BOWSER!"
"THE most iconic in terms of video game villains!" Ashley agreed with a smile. He then paused. "Um, is he a villain anymore?"
"Sure, he flips between villain and anti-hero, but otherwise, yeah, he is one of the most well-known antagonists of all time!" Drake grinned. "And of course, the spawn of many memes! Hipster Bowser, Ceo of Nintendo Bowser, Good Dad Bowser, Bowser's Fury and last, but not least… Bowsette!"
"NO!" Ashley roared at the top of his lungs, startling Drake.
"Alright, alright. Sheesh!" The vampire said, rolling his eyes.
"I swear, even the original creator of Bowsette is creeped out by what he has created." Ashley agreed.
"Anywayyyyyy, Bowser seems like your basic Mighty Glacier and while most of that is true as he is obviously super-strong and super-tough and some of his attacks are kinda sluggish." Drake admitted. "HOWEVER, he has deceptively quick running AND jumping height."
"I don't doubt that. I could remember how difficult it is to get under him in certain Super Mario Maker levels." Ashley winced.
"Also, he has fire breath he could send out in a long stream or fireballs. And on top with his spiky shell which he could use for defense, he could also duck into it and spin around in it!" Drake grinned. "There is actually more than Bowser could do, but I don't have time to tell all of it!"
"I don't doubt it. Even though he always loses to Mario, I do not doubt that he will make up for that in the ring." Ashley mused.
Drake smirked. "Oh, I don't doubt that! Anyway, that is everyone!"
Ashley nodded his head. "Normally, with the Sorceress, Dr. Psycho and Bowser in the ring, eighteen fighters will be eliminated. However, due to the Big Guy Blocker, only fifteen will be eliminated."
"Also, the Side Battle for this section is Crunch Bandicoot from Crash Bandicoot and Axel from Kingdom Hearts versus Dr. Eggman, Cubot and Orbot from Sonic the Hedgehog."
"Only fifteen people will be eliminated, but don't you dare expect an easy round!" Drake grinned.
"Anddddd you are off the air!"
Drake giddily got up his seat and took his phone before running over, most likely to call Xero. Ashley just blinked twice. A minute later, Wally and Catherine joined him.
"...Okay, that is weird, even for HIM." Catherine noted.

"Yes… I wonder what he wants to talk with Xero about?" Ashley mused, rubbing his chin.
