LINK TO SECTION BELOW
We now return to Drake and Ashley. However, they weren't smiling. But they weren't exactly upset either. Just contemplative.
"Well, we are back." Ashley said.
"Sorry that we left you on a cliffhanger." Drake frowned. "Well, we technically more or less leave you on a cliffhanger, but this is a little different."
"Indeed. In case you for some reason see the recap of the results instead of the actual section, Dr. Eggman used his position as the top slot fighter to choose "BIG GUY BLOCKER". Ashley frowned. "And it wasn't by mistake like what Wario did. He chose it WILLINGLY."
"And what is even more weird is that the only reason he had a question about Big Guys." Drake said, blinking twice. "Um, what…? Sure, the sections were chaotic, but you don't need to make Monokuma appear to halt everything and everyone!"
"I don't get it either. But to be fair, I am sure that people will be a lot less hesitant to pick "Big Guy Blocker" if Monokuma weren't running the reins behind it." Ashley shrugged.
Drake frowned. "True…"
"And honestly, while Eggman's logic is questionable at best, considering that we had so many sections in a row with FIVE Big Guys with semi-spoilers alert would have continued if it was not for the Big Guy Blocker!" Ashley pointed out. "What he did is a necessary evil!"
Drake paused.
"As for Xero's answer to Eggman's question, Xero made it perfectly clear that only five Big Guys are allowed in a section. Which means that there are a LOT of Big Guys. So much that he needs to revoke the status of some would-be Big Guys." Ashley said, crossing his arms. "Honestly…"
"I mean to be fair, Tiny and to a lesser extent, SSBFreak ran into that problem at the Battle of the Luminaries." Drake insisted.
"I know, I know, this actually goes way beyond a Xero problem for once! It has been plaguing so many UVR spinoffs!" Ashley added. "There are so many in one node that could realistically count as Big Guys. And that's the problem! Seriously, how are Crunch Bandicoot and Tiny Tiger Big Guys and yet Koala Kong, who actually DWARFS over them is not?"
"...I mean the story was written LONG before the N. Sane Trilogy came out." Drake admitted.
"Even then, that wouldn't have happened if Tiny was so desperate to not go over the five Big Guy limit!" Ashley snapped. "And this isn't going to be a Tournament of Kikai thing! No offense to GreyRaine if you are reading this, but how in the world is he going to decide who gets to be Big Guys in the Dissidia when literally HALF of the rosters ARE Final Bosses!"
Drake paused.
"...Look, I am sorry for ranting. I am not saying that we should remove Big Guys altogether, but you are going to have to be stricter with them!" Ashley said.
"...You are right, man." Drake said. "Though it is kinda late for Grey and Xero to change now."
Ashley groaned as he held his forehead. "I know… I know… Look, I am getting upset over something so small and yet it feels so big."
Drake paused before putting his hand on his chin.
"...But anyway, regardless of the situation, Eggman has chosen the Big Guy Blocker so now any and all Big Guy statuses for this round have been revoked." Ashley said. "So we will be having fifteen people eliminated."
"R-Right. At the cost that there will be no double eliminations." Drake said, slowly.
Ashley frowned. "O-Oh, did what I said really shook you up that much."
"H-Huh?" Drake asked. "Oh no… I was just thinking about it."
"...Well, now is that the best time to go into detail about it." Ashley scolded.
Drake rolled his eyes. "Sorry for bringing up the subject out of the blue."
"I know, I know, I have no room to talk." Ashley admitted, returning the gesture. "First things first, let's go over the surviving fighters."
YURI SAKAZAKI
NODE: KING OF FIGHTERS XIV/ART OF FIGHTING
ENTERED IN: Section 11; Number 237
OVERALL ELIMINATIONS: 5
Drake immediately brightened up with a grin. "And here we are starting off with the longest-runner still in the ring thus far! Which is impressive considering that Yuri actually has a HORRIBLE track record at the UVR-spinoffs outside of the Megamix Tournament!"
"Yes! Not only did she manage to last three sections, but she also got the sole MVP of her node. With her surprising elimination of her nodal companion, Mature, Luna from the Loud House, Daisy from Super Smash Bros, Simba from Kingdom Hearts and Squigly from Skullgirls!" Ashley beamed.
STARFIRE
NODE: DC COMICS/TEEN TITANS
ENTERED IN: Section 12; Number 247
OVERALL ELIMINATIONS: 3
"While she is mostly in the arena with story-related reasons, Starfire is still proving that she is still a threat even when not focused on surviving!" Ashley smiled.
"Yeah, sure her double elimination of Pudding from Tokyo Mew Mew and Chowder from CN: PTE were purely for the story, her elimination of Luxord from Kingdom Hearts is much more impressive!" Drake grinned.
DEXTER
NODE: CARTOON NETWORK: PUNCH-TIME EXPLOSION/DEXTER'S LABORATORY
ENTERED IN: Section 13; Number 265
OVERALL ELIMINATIONS: 2
"And from one red-headed plot-related hero to another!" Drake grinned. "It is Dexter: Boy Genius!"
"Even though he is not focused on the tournament, he is still not one to be trifled with his goals." Ashley scolded. "Not only the Riddler from DC Comics learned that the hard way, so did Greninja from Super Smash Bros."
SIR DANIEL FORTESQUE
NODE: PLAYSTATION ALL-STARS BATTLE ROYALE/MEDIEVIL
ENTERED IN: Section 13; Number 268
OVERALL ELIMINATIONS: 1
"Fittingly, Sir Daniel did not have a grand start, but honestly if that ever stopped him, then we wouldn't have the MediEvil games in the first place!" Ashley smirked.
"Yeah, not even the antics of the Angry Beavers were enough to deter him!" Drake winked.
GENIE
NODE: KINGDOM HEARTS/ALADDIN
ENTERED IN: Section 13; Number 270
OVERALL ELIMINATIONS: 2
"Demonstrating his phenomenal cosmic powers over the mere mortals is THE Genie!" Drake smirked. He then paused. "The Robin Williams one, I mean."
"Indeed. Despite Ness from Super Smash Bros and Spyro the Dragon being both normally threats, Genie literally made fools out of them." Ashley nodded.
SLY COOPER
NODE: SLY COOPER
ENTERED IN: Section 13; Number 271
OVERALL ELIMINATIONS: 2
"Showing why the series is named after HIM, it is the Thievius Raccoonus, himself, Sly Cooper!" Ashley beamed.
"Yeah, is it any surprise that he is off to a great start?" Drake asked. "Even against the likes of Bass from Megaman and April from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2012!"
WRECK-IT RALPH
NODE: KINGDOM HEARTS/WRECK-OUT RALPH
ENTERED IN: Section 13; Number 274
OVERALL ELIMINATIONS: 1
Drake immediately smirked. "When Ralph says that he is going to wreck it, he is going to wreck it! No questions asked!"
Ashley rolled his eyes. "Indeed… People would be wise not to underestimate him or they will fall to his fists just like Incineroar from Super Smash Bros."
DOCTOR EGGMAN
NODE: SONIC THE HEDGEHOG
ENTERED IN: Section 13; Number 277
OVERALL ELIMINATIONS: 2
"Even though I STILL question his reasoning, no one could deny Eggman cleared house last section!" Ashley smiled.
"Yeah, he already took care of Tron Bonne from Megaman and his nodal companion, Shadow!" Drake nodded. "Plus, with them being no Big Guys at least for this round, he should have a greater shot of making it to the next round!"
DAPHNE BLAKE
NODE: SCOOBY DOO
ENTERED IN: Section 13; Number 278
OVERALL ELIMINATIONS: 1
"Proving to the boys that she is more than just eye candy is Daphne!" Drake grinned.
"Yes, you wouldn't have expected to pull a big one over Pete from Kingdom Hearts, but here we are!" Ashley chuckled.
DYNOMUTT
NODE: DYNOMUTT: DOG WONDER
ENTERED IN: Section 13; Number 281
OVERALL ELIMINATIONS: 1
"And last, but certainly not least, Tiny's Reserve Mystery Fighter pick and Dog Wonder…" Ashley beamed before shifting his eyes to the side. "Or depending on how you look at it, Dog BLUNDER: Dynomutt!"
"Yeah, even though he wasn't even invited to the tournament at the start, he still managed to help out Dexter and Starfire against the villains and even took down Banderias from King of Fighters XIV and he is now involved in the story!" Drake grinned. "No offense to Haohmaru and Kitty Katswell, but that is definitely a step-up over them! And now, let's get into the new fighters!"
NAJD
NODE: KING OF FIGHTERS XIV
Ashley frowned. "I know that I am not into fighting games as you, but even I am drawing a blank on this woman."
Drake just sighed. "That is what happens when you are introduced as a DLC character?"
Ashley looked at Drake with wide eyes. "W-What!? She got the Street Fighter V approach?"
"Well, yes and no. She isn't some random character created out of nowhere." The vampire pointed. "You see, SNK held this contest to have fans create a character from Saudi Arabia."
Ashley blinked twice. "...People still have contests like that?"
"I know, right!? Anyway, as you could guess, Najd is the winning entry." Drake pointed out.
"Wow… In that case…" Ashley said before smiling. "I DO appreciate Najd's inclusion, even if it is as DLC."
Drake returned the smile with a nod. "So about her fighting style, Najd is an umbramancer, having power over shadows. ...Even though it LOOKED like shadows, there is a rainbow essence around it. Like not sunny rainbows, but like an oil rainbow."
"No, no, I think I get you." Ashley nodded.
"But yeah, while her fighting style is beautiful and graceful, she is actually quite the ruthless fighter, believing that criminals should be executed." Drake frowned.
Ashley gulped nervously. "Oh dear… And considering that there is at least one criminal entering every round…"
"Yeah… She may have a lot of big boots to prove, but she would be damned if she would not give it her all." Drake said, solemnly.
CHUN-LI
NODE: STREET FIGHTER V
Ashley beamed. "And here we have the first woman in fighting games ever!"
Drake winced at this before shifting his eyes to the side. "Ummm…"
Ashley paused. "Let me guess. That spot was already taken by one other woman, right?"
"Nooo… It was actually THREE other women." Drake corrected. "Yuki from Onna Sansirou and Star and Fan from Yie Ar Kung Fu."
Ashley blinked twice. "Never heard of them."
"Yeah, I thought you may say that. Though you would think some of the earliest women in fighting games would get more recognition." Drake sighed. "Regardless, she is still the most prominent woman in fighting games for a reason."
"Yes, I know about her." Ashley nodded. "For better… Or for worse, she is known for her powerful legs."
"Indeed, not only do they pack a pu… Um, kick, but she is surprisingly quick while kicking with them." Drake added. "And we can't forget about her trademark projectile, Kikoken and her iconic Spinning Bird Kick!"
Ashley paused. "...Even to this day, I still question how she got the idea to come up with such a move."
"Yeah, what I wouldn't give to have a peek inside of her mind to see the thought process." Drake chuckled.
VICE
NODE: KING OF FIGHTERS XIV
"And here we have Mature's other half! No, really, those two are rarely apart!" Drake noted. He then paused. "Except in Capcom VS SNK 2 where Vice is the roster, but not Mature. Man, that game has a weird roster. Like not the BAD type of weird, but still."
Ashley blinked twice. "Um, alright. So if Mature tears you down with elegance in both her words and fighting style, then Vice…"
"...Don't hesitate." Drake said, grimly. "If she doesn't like you, you will tell you point-black while literally beating your ass to death."
Ashley shuddered at this. "...Dare I ask about her fighting style?"
"Believe it or not, she is actually a grappler." Drake pointed out.
"No lie?" Ashley asked with his eyes bugging out.
"No lie. Though I could argue that it is because of her Orochi blood. But aside from slashing enemies to death with his bare hands, she could actually do stuff like power bombs and Frankensteiners." Drake said. "She REALLY loves slamming her opponents in the dirt.
Ashley gulped nervously. "She definitely sounds like a threat."
"Oh, she IS. So whenever she, Iori and Mature show up on a team together, the other team better give their all." Drake nodded.
MAC & BLOO
NODE: CARTOON NETWORK: PUNCH-TIME EXPLOSION/FOSTER'S HOME FOR IMAGINARY FRIENDS
Ashley grumpily crossed his arms. "I STILL think that it is silly that Norbert & Daggett has to be chained up and like Bloo gets to go free."
"Hey, Xero said it himself. Bloo has enough patience in CN:PTE to never leave Mac's side." Drake pointed out.
"Oh, because Daggett actually uses a megaphone and taunted literally EVERYONE in the arena!" Ashley muttered, rolling his eyes.
Drake returned the gesture. "Because having them chained together would stop Bloo from doing that."
Ashley shook his head. "But whatever, we have no time to complain about this."
He then smirked.
"We have a new sub-node."
Drake returned the smirk. "Indeed. And when there is a new sub-node, that is time for the research team. Spotlight's on you guys!"
The camera then turned to… Cardboard cut-outs of Wally and Catherine…?
"Oh, boy, Foster's Home! I get to talk about all of the adorable imaginary friends!" "Catherine" spoke.
"Aye, mate! And Ah get ta talk about Frankie! She is FINE!" "Wally" spoke.
With that, the cardboard cutouts were pushed away to reveal two different people. The first one was a young skunk with goggles on his eyes and wore a light grey and white suit. The second one was a pink-scaled alligator wearing an extravagant yellow and white dress with a matching floral headband. The skunk smirked while the alligator gave a small smile.
"Hello! It is Stinky! Winner of Survivor Xover Version 2!" The skunk introduced before looking at the alligator. "And this is my girlfriend…"
"...Allison, also from Survivor Xover Version 2!" The alligator smiled. "Also appeared on Survivor Xover Version All-Stars. Not unlike Wally and Catherine!"
"You're probably wondering where ARE Wally and Catherine are." Stinky said before looking to the side. "Well…
/-/-/-/-/-/
We cut to Wally and Catherine grumpily crossing their arms as they watched what was happening on the TV inside of a locked door.
"Hey, do you think that we will be let out of here and come back in the next section?" Catherine asked. "Or do you think Stinky and Allison are going to replace us altogether?"
"Ah don't know. Tiny isn't the type to hold a grudge." Wally said, shrugging his shoulders.
Catherine frowned. "I don't know… If someone kicked a table at me, they would be doing chores for me for at least a month if they were begging for my forgiveness."
Wally winced at this before looking at the TV.
/-/-/-/-/-/
We now cut back to Stinky and Allison both looking sheepish.
"They are… Talking things out with Tiny about a misunderstanding." Allison said.
"So yeah, even if it is only for one section, we will be covering the node research segments." Stinky offered.
"Turns out, Tiny told us that WE were originally going to be the node research team. But Drake changed his mind." Allison noted.
A nervous chuckle could be heard off-screen. "...Sorry about that."
"Eh… I mean you WERE going for personality over functionality and who has more personality than Wally and Catherine?" Stinky asked.
Allison giggled. "Indeed. Regardless, even if it is only for one section, I hope that you don't mind having a couple of novices do this."
"Don't worry. I asked Tiny to check for you before the recap started." Ashley offered from off-screen. "You literally just had to do five nodes. Just do your best."
"And don't be afraid to show off your true feelings about said nodes." Drake nodded.
Stinky and Allison both nodded their heads with smiles before looking at each other.
"Ready, Al?" Stinky asked.
"Ready, Stinky!" The detective nodded before looking at the camera. "Now Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends is a show created by Craig McCracken, the same creator of the Powerpuff Girls. Though it is funny that I should mention that. Because after doing five seasons AND a movie, Cartoon Network has approached Craig and asked him to do a brand-new cartoon."
"So he pitched this. What if imaginary friends were real? As in when the kid thinks up them, they would appear. However, once they get too old, they have to bring them up." Stinky said. He then paused. "You know, that is kinda fucked up when you think about it. When a kid thinks up an imaginary friend, after a few years, the parents force the kid to ABANDON them. Is this a social commentary on second-hand citizens or something?"
"...You are skating on thin ice, buddy." Drake said, darkly from off-screen. "Especially as your very first node research."
Stinky rolled his eyes. "Alright, alright. So that is what happened with an eight-year-old boy named Mac and his imaginary friend, Bloo. One day, the latter found a commercial, advertising the titular building. It is a house for imaginary friends with no owners where they get a new owner."
"However, that isn't what Mac and Bloo wanted so in the end, Mac made a deal with the owner, Madame Foster, to make sure that if Mac makes it to Foster's every day." Allison explained. "Anddddd that is the plot. It is a slice-of-life cartoon with the many misadventures of Mac and Bloo and their circle of friends, Wilt, Eduardo and Coco."
"Sure, the cartoon started light-hearted enough. But then, the third season came around and…" Stinky said before grimacing. "Damn, everyone started to think nasty."
"Yes, the first two seasons, while still had a couple of mean-spirited episodes like "Everybody's Knows It Bendy"." Allison said in disgust. "But then we got episodes like Foster's Goes To Europe, I Only Have Surprise For You and Imposter's Home For Um… Make Em Up Pals. And don't get me started about how Bloo is handled in comparison to how he first started!"
"Yeah, do you think it is because Craig was a misanthrope. I can't confirm off the back of my head, but I heard that he is a misanthrope." Stinky muttered.
Suddenly, he felt his phone ring, making him stop. Stinky then reached into his phone and pulled out his phone before putting it to his ear.
"Um, yeah? Uh-huh. Uh-huh." Stinky said before his eyes bugged out. "Uh-huh… Ah ha. Okay, gotcha. Thanks for that. Bye."
"Who was that, Stinky?" Allison asked as she watched her boyfriend hang up.
"Tiny. Turns out one of Tiny's friends has asked Craig how the show got so mean-spirited." The mechanic explained. "Turns out that Craig, along with many others on the writers' team were fans of cringe comedies like "British Office" and "Curb Your Enthusiasm"."
"...I never watched either of those shows, but considering that those are what inspire said mean-spirited episodes, I don't think I would ever want to watch them." Allison frowned.
"Yeah, tell me about it…" Stinky said, rolling his eyes. "Anyway, there is a bit more, but this segment has been going on a bit too long. The show had 72 episodes and two Made For TV movies. ...Is that sufficient for you, guys?"
The camera went back to Drake giving a thumbs-up. "Oh, don't worry, guys! You did great!"
"Now because Foster's is a slice-of-life cartoon. I can't really think of anything they could use from their original show without looking up their entry in CN: PTE." Ashley frowned.
Drake read his tablet. "Well, apparently they are Mighty Glaciers in that game."
Ashley's eyes bugged out at this. "Get out!"
"I won't!" Drake pointed out. "They could hit surprisingly hard, even if they are very slow and laggy."
"Wow…" Ashley said in awe.
"And despite being quite the mismatched duo, they managed to be quite cooperative with Mac either swinging Bloo around or using him as a projectile." Drake explained. "They could even use paddleball racquets in unison."
"...But isn't Bloo bad at paddleball?" Ashley asked, blinking twice. "Does THAT mean that Bloo's part of the attack is laggy?"
"...That's a good question." Drake paused.
JURI
NODE: STREET FIGHTER V
"And from Street Fighter's first female fighter to its first VILLAINOUS female fighter." Drake grinned.
"Wait, it took Capcom until IV to create a VILLAINOUS woman?" Ashley asked in awe.
"Yeah, the closest we had to villainous women are Cammy, Juli and Juni." Drake nodded. "And they were BRAINWASHED."
"Huh. Which means that Juri is going to make up for lost time by being as brutal as possible." Ashley mused with a shudder.
"Oh, she definitely would! She is like what I call the anti-Kim Kaphwan. She is a brutal Taekwondo fighter." Drake explained.
"Oh, right, I think I remember her fighting style clearer now." Ashley said before scoffing. "I am STILL floored that Kim went after Carmelita Fox for dating a thief, even Juri is MUCH worse than Sly!"
"All crimes are equal or some bullcrap." Drake said, rolling his eyes. "Also, along with striking hard and striking fast, Juri also has a special eye called the Feng Shui Engine which amplifies her already-impressive speed."
Ashley gulped nervously. "She sounds like another threat."
"She should. GreyRaine made one of the main heroes for a reason." Drake pointed out.
Ashley looked at Drake with wide eyes. "Wait… What!?"
"To be fair, it is "I do not like interacting with heroes, I just want to beat up the villains" protagonists if that makes sense." The vampire shrugged.
NEEDLES KANE
NODE: PLAYSTATION ALL-STARS BATTLE ROYALE/TWISTED METAL
Ashley shuddered. "W-What is it with the media turning clowns into… Such monsters?"
"I mean a lot of people DO find clowns creepy." Drake shrugged. "Why do you think that most stories have wolves, snakes and sharks as villains?"
"I guess…" Ashley mused. "I-In any case, let's hold off about that for now. It is Stinky and Allison's turn."
The camera went to a grinning Stinky. "Oh, don't worry, leave it to us! Twisted Metal is basically what would happen if Doom was mixed with a demolition derby. In layman's terms, it is a series of demolition derbies, only you could actually use guns. Oh, and people die."
"While Twisted Metal is not known for its plot, basically the host of the Twisted Metal context called Calypso has wish-granting powers. And that is what most of the racers need." Allison explained. "If they win Twisted Metal, they will get their wish."
"However, Calypso… Is an asshole. No, really, you know those stories about evil genies who twist the wisher's requests against them? That is what Calypso does." Stinky said. "They say to be careful what you wish for, but he takes it to another level."
"The series has spawned eighth games, going through several developers." Allison explained. "With the game appearing in 1995 and the latest one, Twisted Metal Black in 2015."
"As you could expect, the games are known for being "dark" and "edgy" and that fits with its many weapons like ballistic weapons, machine guns, mines and even satellite-based weapons and nuclear weapons!" Stinky explained. "I know that we aren't giving THAT much info, but what you see is what you get. Ride vehicles, bang-bang-bang, win. Except not win in the end."
"It DID have THREE cancelled games and a comic book, but that's about it." Allison shrugged. "Back to you guys."
The camera went to Drake nodding his head. "That's fine, guys. You are doing good."
"I have to ask. Like Stinky and Allison stated, Needles Kane is from a destruction derby." Ashley pointed out. "How does he fight outside of his vehicle?"
"Well, ignoring the fact that not only is he a SERIAL KILLER with a FLAMING HEAD but could easily get the weapons that are on his truck to use on foot." Drake pointed out. "Needles is actually more durable than he looks. He could survive crashing through glass, being stabbed in the face and even the electric chair.
Ashley jumped at this. "Really?"
"He is a classic evil clown, Ashley?" Drake challenged. "Do you really think he would go now that easily?"
M. BISON
NODE: STREET FIGHTER V
"And here we have the poster boy for fighting game villains as a whole, himself!" Drake grinned. "And usually big bad at these things!"
"...I am still in awe that Bison actually wanted out this tournament after he was the driving force at all of the previous UVR-spinoffs thus far." Ashley said in awe.
"I guess even dictators need a break." Drake shrugged. "And to be fair, he wasn't the Big Bad at the second Battle of the Luminaries."
"That is because his plans went so astray that he and the other villains are forced to make a truce with the heroes!" Ashley scolded.
Drake shook his head. "Anyway, say what you will about his track record, in a fight, you SHOULD respect Bison. His Psycho Crusher goes through any and all projectiles and strikes down his hapless foe, he could do a kicking forward flip which he could combo into, teleportation, flight. Or don't even get me started on this supers."
Ashley gulped nervously. "I won't… Do you think that Bison would actually do better in the arena than what he usually does."
"It is hard to say." Drake admitted. "I WANT to say that taking that break to focus on the tournament should help. But as you could see with Chun-Li and Juri, it is hard to get away from your past. Whether in the Street Fighter canon or the various UVR-spinoffs."
"Well, can't say I am rooting for him, but we'll see how he does." Ashley mused.
ANDY BOGARD
NODE: KING OF FIGHTERS XIV/FATAL FURY
"And here we have the younger Bogard brother!" Ashley beamed.
"Yep." Drake nodded.
Ashley was taken back by this. "That's… A lukewarm reception."
Drake let out a deep sigh. "I am sorry. I don't have anything AGAINST Andy. But he is not that interesting to me."
Ashley paused. "That bad?"
"Yeah, I literally can't think that much about him besides being Terry's brother and Mai's love interest." Drake frowned. "Oh and that he is an Italiboo."
Ashley blinked twice. "A whatnow?"
"You know what a weeaboo is right? Andy is that, but for Italy." Drake explained. "No, seriously, despite being an American NINJA, his first fighting game stage takes place in Italy and for some reason that I may never know, he somehow managed to convince Terry and Joe to represent the country in King of Fighters 94."
Ashley paused. "Umm… I don't know how to tell you this, but for better or for worse, you actually made him more interesting for me."
Drake raised a finger to protest before letting out a deep sigh. "Fair enough. Anyway, Andy is a beginner-friendly character. He has a straightforward projectile, a jumping anti-air and while it isn't a Hurricane Kick, he could launch himself feet-first and over ground projectiles."
Ashley nodded his head. "That's fine. Even the basics could be fine."
"Oh, his signature move is when he literally zooms at his opponent at lighting speed elbow-first." Drake explained. "It is taken up to eleven with his Climax where you could have sworn that he went at the speed of a SNIPER RIFLE."
"Woah…" Ashley said in awe. "...Are you sure that he doesn't have a chance?"
"...Well, maybe that I am too harsh in saying that." Drake said before shrugging. "It is just that he rarely makes it into any crossovers. Even RAIDEN made it into Capcom VS SNK."
IVYSAUR
NODE: SUPER SMASH BROS/POKEMON
Ashley looked annoyed. "Okay, I hate to agree with Junko, but even though she is saying that just to be an asshole, she is completely wrong. This is getting ridiculous."
"You already know the answer to that." Drake frowned. "The roster is randomized. That is why we got the mainstream Ikari Warriors show up with spots so close to each other."
"Yes, but even then…" Ashley said before groaning. "Never mind. Let's get to Ivysaur's fighting style."
Drake rolled his eyes. "Anyway, Ivysaur is the long-range fighter of the group. He could extend his vines to either attack, grapple or grab ledges, send out a razor-sharp leaf and could even shoot out seeds out of his bud in case someone tries to literally jump on him."
Ashley nodded his head. "Even I know that. Vine Whip is like his signature move, even when he is not attacking with said vines."
"But he usually shrugs off most water and electric attacks." Drake added.
"Yeah, but that couldn't be said about fire and ice!" Ashley warned. "Attacks that are very common at these things."
"To be fair, Super Smash Bros have a lot of pyromancers and he could pull his own just fine." Drake offered. He then rolled his eyes. "Now actually recovering when he gets out of the ring."
Ashley's eyes bugged out. "He is THAT bad."
"Well, not really. But there is a reason why if Ivysaur is knocked off the stage, the player usually switches to Charizard in a heartbeat and use Flare Blitz and Fly." Drake said.
SILVER THE HEDGEHOG
NODE: SONIC THE HEDGEHOG
"Just like Axl, Silver is someone who didn't exactly get the best start." Drake frowned.
"Yes, he showed up in 06. But honestly? While the game could DEFINITELY be better." Ashley said before trailing off. "...It isn't the WORST game I've ever seen."
"Well, you could thank Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric and Sonic Forces for that." Drake scoffed.
"So for better or for worse, one of his signature moves is his telekinetic grab." Ashley winced. "However, he obviously has more than that."
"Yeah. He could levitate, stop projectiles in their tracks and even send them back at his opponents or whoever he likes." Drake nodded. "He could even send out an arch of his psychic energy forward."
"Wow… I could imagine how cheap he could be to fight against." Ashley frowned.
"Well, of course he is!" Drake said, rolling his eyes. "He IS a psychic, after all!"
ROBIN
NODE: SUPER SMASH BROS/FIRE EMBLEM AWAKENING
"And here we have not only the final of the Awakening trio, but of the "Fire Emblem Avatar"." Drake mused.
"I must say that even though Robin has a sword, it is SO refreshing that he is a mage as well." Ashley said with a big grin on his face.
"Agreed. It is rare to have a JRPG protagonist to be a mage, let alone in Fire Emblem." Drake agreed.
Ashley nodded his head. "Anyway, while Robin is technically ANOTHER Fire Emblem sword-fighter, he is only a decent close-range fighter compared to friends, Chrom and Lucina. In fact, the power of his sword is powered by his magic. Not his strength."
Drake then smirked. "And his magic?"
"Oh, he has a few things up his sleeve. He could use Arcfire to create a small pillar of fire, Elwind to propel himself through the air and even Nosferatu to drain his enemies' health!" Ashley explained. "Also, he could use Arcthunder to send out an electric projectile, but if it is charged enough, it becomes a beam."
"But he can't use all of his spells all willy-nilly! His tomes for each spell and his Levin Sword have a certain amount of uses." Drake added. "If their uses are done, then Poof, they are basically used Mr. Saturns against a non-blocking foe and then he has to wait a while for a new tome or Levin Sword to appear.
"Fortunately, Robin is a tactician so I do not doubt that he could find a way around it." Ashley smirked.
FLYNN RIDER
NODE: KINGDOM HEARTS/TANGLED
Drake immediately grinned. "Or hell yeah, it is Flynn Rider!"
Ashley blinked twice. "Isn't Flynn going by Eugene Fitzherbert now?"
Drake's grin vanished as he looked at Ashley with a confused look. "That's… A good point. Maybe because he was rarely referred to as Eugene, not even after the Tangled world is over."
Ashley shook his head. "So Flynn is a thief so he should have the standard skill-set as one, right?"
"Yeah, he is quick on his feet and knows how to get out of a tight situation." Drake nodded. "And that is not even getting into his training as a knight in the animated series."
Ashley paused. "Speaking of which, he seems to be wielding his girlfriend's frying pan instead of his sword."
"Well, that's because the frying pan is more iconic!" Drake retorted.
"True…" Ashley admitted, shrugging his shoulders. "So is summoning a barrel out of nowhere so he could ride it around and stampede away enemies in his path."
Drake did a double take. "Wait, what!?"
Ashley just chuckled. "I SO enjoy being the one who knows something before you."
Then, the Mystery Fighter alarm went off.
"Okay, wise guy, let's see which one of us knows the next Mystery Fighter." Drake said, crossing his arms.
Ashley just smirked. "You're on!"
RUTO
NODE: LEGEND OF ZELDA: OCARINA OF TIME
Ashley looked stunned at this. "Huh… Is this a surprise?"
Drake raised a confused eyebrow. "Why? In Hyrule Warriors, it is shown that not only could she fight, but she could take on a literal army. Granted, any playable character could do that, even the ten-year-old bug-lover, but still."
"I know. It is just that…" Ashley said before shrugging. "GreyRaine already has Hyrule Warriors covered."
"And Orange-Ratchet already more or less has Dead Space covered. What is your point?" Drake challenged.
Ashley raised a finger before sighing. "Never mind… Go to Stinky and Allison."
The camera then went to a blinking Stinky. "Um… I thought this node was already covered."
"Um, no, we didn't. While Zelda, Ganondorf and the Links represent various games in their designs, their movesets don't." Ashley corrected from off-screen. "Like Zelda could summon the Phantom Arms from Spirit Tracks, even though he was representing Twilight Princess and later, A Link Between Worlds!"
"The closest one to fully representing their game is Link and even then, as far as I could tell there aren't any boomerangs in Breath of the Wild, let alone wind-infused ones." Drake added from off-screen."
"Alright, alright! Just give us a moment." Stinky groaned before holding up a tablet. "The Ocarina of Time is the fifth game in the Legend of Zelda series, though one could argue that it is the most ICONIC Legend of Zelda."
"Indeed. It was the first-ever 3D Zelda, setting the bar for not only future Zelda titles, but other titles with its cinematic cutscenes and various gameplay elements." Allison beamed.
"The story with the Link of this game as the only one in his hometown, Kokiri Forest to NOT have a fairy." Stinky explained. He then scoffed. "I don't know why he gets so much crap over it. Did the others not have someone like Navi?"
"Stinky!" Allison scolded. "Navi is just trying to help!"
"Oh, I know! Trust me, I know!" Stinky groaned, holding his head. "There IS a thing as being so helpful that you are UNHELPFUL, Alllison!"
The alligator shook her head. "Anyway, this is an… Clumsy segway into the fairy, Navi meets up with Link who has asked him to leave the village to see the Great Deku Tree and lift an evil curse. However, being a Legend of Zelda game, the story gets more grand-scale than that."
"So grand-scale that Link was in over his head and he was sealed away for seven years. And when he woke up, Hyrule turned into a literal hellhole." Stinky winced. "The only good thing is that Link is now old enough to wield the Master Sword and be the one to defeat the evil king, Ganondorf once and for all."
"As you could expect from such a popular game, it got several re-releases, including a pre-order one alongside Wind Waker that features harder dungeons." Allison explained. "It even has a remake on the 3DS created by a different company."
"As we said earlier, the game set the bar for many future Zelda games and even adventure games in general!" Stinky grinned. "Back to you guys!"
The camera went back to a nodding Drake. "Thanks, guys."
"Now while it is kinda hard NOT to incorporate the skills that Ruto has in Hyrule Warriors into her fighting style, we will talk solely about that." Ashley explained. "First off, her "weapons" is a Zora Scale that normally gives Link the ability to dive underground, but in this case, amplifies her power over water."
"Woah. Good thing that the aquamancer kidnapping plot is actually a red herring, otherwise I would be worried for her!" Drake smirked.
Ashley rolled his eyes. "Anywayyyyy, Ruto could do a lot of things with her aquamancy, compressed water splashes, summoning waves, creating puddles to dive into to teleport a good distance away. She even had an attack and created a giant sphere of water that traps her foes and she could dive into it, striking people multiple times.
"Also, some of her stronger attacks could inflict the "Water Status" effect. It creates a ball of water around her enemies' heads." Drake explained before fiddling with his collar. "Sure, it doesn't last long, but still I could only imagine how terrifying that is."
"Speaking of stronger attacks, when she uses a good number of them, her "Water Gauge" fills up and depending on how much is filled, she could send out one to three extremely long-range waves wherever she is aiming." Ashley explained.
"She may prefer to be carried, but don't underestimate this Zora princess! Otherwise, she will carry you… Out of the ring!" Drake smirked.
SOLID SNAKE
NODE: SUPER SMASH BROS/METAL GEAR SOLID
"Heh. We really went full circle, huh?" Drake asked with a grin.
Ashley raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"
"Try to remember the story of the first Battle of the Luminaries." Drake said, raising a finger. "Snake was pissed that he was the only Smasher who wasn't invited to the tournament."
"...Well, it can't be helped, right?" Ashley frowned. "He is a guest fighter and Sonic the Hedgehog is too iconic NOT to get its own node."
"True, but still Snake was pissed at the time, even though he got over it at the end of the tournament." Drake said. "Now that it is actually okay to include characters from OTHER companies, he never has to worry about getting snubbed ever again."
Ashley smiled and nodded. "Indeed. Now onto his fighting style."
"Despite being limited to his Super Smash Bros moveset and not having any realistic-looking guns, he still has a lot of tricks up his sleeve." Drake offered. "Grenades, missile launchers, C4s, rocket launchers, mortars, he could even ride camera drones!"
Ashley nodded his head. "I wouldn't expect anything else from the protagonist of Metal Gear Solid."
"But don't think that Snake is self-reliant on his tools. He is skilled in close-range combat, so despite being a zoner, he could fight close-up."
Ashley jumped. "Woah… He definitely sounds dangerous to fight."
"Oh, he is. He has gone through hell and back and while that doesn't always mean shit in tournaments like these, it helps prepare for said battles." Drake offered.
DUKE
NODE: TOKYO MEW MEW
Drake and Ashley both looked absolutely thunderstruck when they saw Duke's… Design. The camera then went to Stinky and Allison who were just as horrified.
The camera then went back to Drake and Ashley. While the latter still looked stunned, Drake looked PISSED. Getting out his phone, he pushed onto a familiar contact before putting it to his ear, looking impatient.
Then, a sheepish Xero answered the phone. "...Okay, I know that this looks bad, but…"
"But? BUT!?" Drake roared. "There are no buts about it!"
"Calm down! I swear to God that Duke isn't one of THOSE monsters!" Xero insisted.
"That doesn't change the fact that he looks like one!" Drake roared. "Are you TRYING to get everyone and their grandma to hate you!? Hell, people are going to come after US for showing this on the show!"
"Come on, man, I think that people are a little more mature than…" Xero started before pausing. "...I can't believe I almost said that with a straight face."
"What the hell, Xero!?" Drake growled. "What the actual hell!?"
"Calm down, Drake!" Ashley insisted. "It is a capirote!"
Drake looked at Ashley in disbelief. "A whatnow?"
"A capirote. It is a mask that is worn by Spanish Christian priests." The purple-haired man said, reading his tablet. "Which matches up with the title of the Saint Rose Crusaders!"
"Y-Yeah, but how many people will realize that?" Drake asked.
"Look… I WANTED to include the characters from Koi A La Mode and even though it WOULD be wise to leave out Duke, he IS the main antagonist." Xero explained.
"But… But…" Drake insisted.
"Look, I probably shouldn't say this, but nobody is going to vote for him, anyway so it is not like he would last that much longer." Xero offered.
"But he is going to show up in the side matches!" Drake insisted.
Xero let out a deep sigh. "I am sorry, man, but I literally could tell you that it could be worse… I am hanging up now."
"H-Hey!" Drake roared. Then, Xero hung up. The vampire groaned before slumping in his chair. "...Sorry, I can't even pretend to have the energy about Duke's fighting style."
"...I guess THAT works out. Wally literally just put "Umm… Being The Big Bad?" for his skills/powers." Ashley frowned, holding up his tablet.
ALEX
NODE: STREET FIGHTER V
"Sooo I heard that despite being a wrestler and therefore a grappler, Alex is actually the main protagonist of Street Fighter III?" Ashley asked, hoping to bring Drake out of his slump.
The mayor slowly sat up. "Yeah… It was actually kinda refreshing having a fighting game protagonist that isn't a Shoto. Even if there are a lot of people complaining for different reasons."
Ashley raised an eyebrow. "And dare I ask what that reason is?"
"He is another white, blonde fighting in a cast full of them." Drake explained.
Ashley paused before he started to count on his fingers. Drake just groaned as he held his head.
"Don't bother trying to count here…" Drake warned.
"Um, okay, so about Alex's fighting style." Ashley said.
"Well, like you said, Alex is a grappler, but he has his own personal gimmick." Drake said. "He has a special move called Flash Chop that could literally turn his opponent around."
Ashley blinked twice. "Um, so?"
"So if he uses one of his grappling moves around them when their back is literally turned, it turns into another move." Drake explained. "Like his grab-and-headbutt turns into a sleeper hold, his power bomb into a German Suplex and his Hyper Bomb turned into Rolling German Suplexes."
Ashley jumped. "Woah… So he has moves for whenever he is in front or behind his opponent."
"Yeah, but the trick is obviously that back throws hurt more, but because no one would willingly let their opponent get behind them in a fight, it is going to be harder than it looks to get behind them." Drake warned.
Then, the Mystery Fighter alarm went off.
"Uh-oh. It is time for the second Mystery Fighter of the section." Drake frowned.
"Drake, I know that you are still recovering from… That, but…" Ashley started.
"I know, I know. I have to be at full energy to hype up the next Mystery Fighter." Drake reassured before slapping his cheeks together. "Alright, I am ready. Hit me with your best shot."
USHI
NODE: FIGHTERS DESTINY
Once again, Drake and Ashley were completely stunned at what they saw. Thankfully, they weren't horrified. But still, just stunned.
Ashley then broke the silence. "...I think the only thing shocking about her appearance is that it WASN'T Xero who invited her."
Then, he felt his phone ringing. He got it out of his pocket and put it to his ear.
"Yes, Xero?" Ashley asked.
"MAURICE COULD HAVE WEIRD IDEAS TOO!" Xero's voice roared angrily.
Ashley winced as he heard Maurice speak as well.
"He's… Not wrong." Maurice admitted, sheepishly. "I guess that aspect of me is lost on people when standing next to Xero."
Ashley paused. "I guess that makes sense. I mean most people would look like the "normal" one next to Xero."
"Oh, hardy-har-har." Xero muttered before hanging up.
By this time, Drake and Ashley started to chuckle.
"Welp, your turn, Stinky and Allion." Drake offered.
The camera then went to a bewildered Allison. "Um, okay, we will do our best. So Fighters Destiny, also known as Fighters Cup, is a 3D fighting game that is on the N64, developed by Genki in Japan and then ported overseas by Ocean Software. However, despite being called a fighting game, it actually follows realistic fighting tournaments."
Stinky looked at Allison in disbelief. "Realistic fighting tournament? Allison, you know I love you, but that is one of the most ridiculous things I heard all-time."
The alligator winced before glaring at Stink with a blush. "H-Hey, I know that the game has more or less lost credibility the moment it included characters like Ushi, but it still follows a scoring system. You will earn points based on doing actions like getting a knockdown, doing a special attack and getting a ring out."
"Said "rings" are actually extremely tall platforms. If this game is so "realistic", this would result in an instant win for the person getting a ring out because of the broken bones their poor opponent has endured. Or worse!" Stinky piped up.
Allison rolled her eyes. "Anywayyyyy, each round last 30 seconds and both fighters have a stamina bar. When said stamina is depleted, they will be dizzied and easy pickings for a free knockdown. However, if 30 seconds pass and nobody earns any points, the points will be given by a judge. First to seven points win."
"I know what you are thinking, it is sounding very complicated, but you would be surprised by how quickly a round goes, even with the already low time limit." Stinky added. "As a knockdown earns three points and a SPECIAL MOVE knockdown has earned four points so you could win a match in just two rounds."
"The game actually had a mixed reaction. Especially from the fighting game community due to it having characters with bland designs, on a console that doesn't have that many quality fighting games, the unconventional system or all of the above." Allison said.
"But it DID spawn a sequel so it must be doing SOMEWHAT right to earn that." Stinky shrugged before looking at Allison. "Also, apparently there is some kind of board game?"
"Yes, you could unlock new moves for your characters to use in combat. However, if you land on a Joker space and you lose to him, you will lose ALL of your moves."
Stinky jumped at this. "What kind of sadist had the bright idea to cross a villainous clown with Game Guy from Mario Party 3?"
"That's… A disturbingly accurate depiction." Allison said before sighing. "Back to you guys. I will try to upload Ushi's info."
The camera went back to a shuddering Drake. "I still got nightmares of that little shit."
Ashley shook his head before reading his tablet. However, he immediately frowned.
"...What is it?" Drake asked.
"Ushi has a taunt that could hurt opponents, albeit for low damage." Ashley explained. "And she is from Hokkaido andddddd that's it."
Drake blinked twice before looking to the side. "Um, I know that you are new to this, but…"
"Hey, Allison DID say that some people slammed the game for having poor character designs!" Stinky scolded from off-screen. "What you see is what you get!"
"They do not even have backstories! Just their fighting style types and nationalities!" Allison added from off-screen as well. "And we can't even get that from Ushi! Just a literal question mark!"
"...I suppose it IS hard to classify the fighting style of a walking non-anthro cow." Ashley admitted.
"...Well, let's hope that she at least remembers that ring-outs "earn more points"." Drake said, scratching the back of his head.
FAT PRINCESS
NODE: PLAYSTATION ALL-STARS BATTLE ROYALE/FAT PRINCESS
Drake paused. "...While PSASBR has a LOT of odd choices, I think we could all appear that Fat Princess is without a doubt the biggest WTF choice of the game."
"...I am DYING to know where she came from based on her appearance alone." Ashley admitted.
"Welp, Stinky, Allison, for better or for worse, you got an… Interesting one to end on." Drake offered.
The camera then went to a bewildered Stinky. "Um, this is not what I had in mind when you told us that we would be covering interesting nods.
"Just go with it…" Allison sighed, shaking her head. "So apparently Fat Princess is actually a MOBA for the Playstation 3 where up to 32 players could play in armies of red or blue while donning various hats in the castle or dropped by dead enemies."
"The main mode called "Rescue the Princess" plays just like Capture the Flag. Basically, both armies have their enemy army's princess captured and they have to rescue their respective princess." Stinky explained. "Now not only do you have to get past the enemy army, but you also have to take care that there are cakes on the map and the armies could take said cakes and take them to their respective captured princess and feed them, turning them into a… Fat princess."
"...The implications of that are VERY creepy when you think about it." Allison winced. "But anyway, there are six classes a player could be, the Villager, the starting class, but have the fastest running speed, the Warrior, the basic melee attacker, the Ranger, the basic RANGED attacker, the Worker, the people that fortify the castle's defenses, the mage, that cast damage over time spells and the Priest, that are the healers."
"There are also three DLC classes. The Ninja, that could turn invisible and go through walls and do a one-hit-kill, the Giant, slow, but strong and durable fighter and the Pirate, that could fire cannonballs at doors." Stinky explained.
"Oh, get this, apparently a few years later, it has spawned a SEQUEL on the Playstation FOUR. This time, there is an actual plot with a villain and even the princesses get in on the action." Allison noted.
"...I have to ask, do you think Fat Princess got a sequel BECAUSE of PSASBR?" Stinky asked, raising an eyebrow.
"...If it is, then I suppose that there are worse ways to advertise your game. Heck, said worse ways are in the SAME game." Allison pointed out.
"Yeah, I do NOT envy Wally and Catherine when the tournament introduces… HIM." Stinky frowned.
"Well, that was short…" Allison said before smiling. "But more than sweet!"
"Indeed, I heard a couple of things I would have never had the chance of learning!" Stinky grinned.
"Thank you, Drake and Ashley, for inviting us on the show, even if it is just for the section!" Allison beamed.
"Yeah, you gotta let us do it again!" Stinky winked. "So the next time you feel like you want to be petty to Wally and Catherine, call us!"
With that, the camera went to Drake grinning and giving a double finger-gun. "You know it!"
"...So I assume that Fat Princess will let her subjects do all of the fighting for her?" Ashley asked.
"More or less. She could have her Warrior lunge forward, her Mage shoot a fire or her Worker set down a bomb for her." Drake admitted. "But unlike in her game, she is not COMPLETELY helpless. When she is not whacking people with her specter, she is literally throwing her weight around."
"And according to the info that Stinky and Allison gave me, she could apparently use rainbow magic and healing powers which she has in Fat Princess Adventures." Ashley noted.
Drake chuckled. "Well, a lot of people never asked for her, but it seemed that taking Fat Princess into the fray actually did a lot of good for her."
DONALD DUCK
NODE: KINGDOM HEARTS/CLASSIC DISNEY SHORTS
Drake immediately grinned. "Well, good evening, Mr. Duck!
He then started to speak in a REALLY raspy voice.
"Hiya, sport!"
Ashley blinked twice as Drake continued to have a conversation with himself.
"May I get the door for you?" Drake asked in his normal voice before speaking in his "Donald" voice. "Thank you very much!"
He then pointed his finger to the sky.
"LET'S BOOGIE!"
Ashley paused. "...Do I even want to know?"
"Probably not considering where it originated. But at least it was a bop in the Eurobeat series." Drake admitted.
Ashley shook his head. "So anyway, I think you already know this, but Donald is the mage of Kingdom Hearts."
"Yeah, and he never heals me." Drake said, rolling his eyes.
Ashley returned the gesture. "That is YOUR own fault."
"Hey, I could only guard and dodge so many things!" Drake scolded.
"No, really, it IS your fault for Donald not healing you!" Ashley scolded. "Have you ever gone into settings and adjusted Donald's AI?"
Drake winced. "Um, well, I…"
"That's what I thought." Ashley said, shaking his head. "So anyway, as a mage, he should be able to know most spells in the series."
Drake blinked twice. "But I thought that Donald could only learn Fire, Blizzard, Thunder and Cure?"
"Yes, but in the first Kingdom Hearts game, Donald could learn any spell that Sora could learn." Ashley explained.
"...I guess it also helps that Goofy has proven that he could still act like himself in the original cartoons so he could take a hit MUCH better." Drake smirked, crossing his arms.
Ashley nodded his head. "Do you think Donald could match up to Goofy's score?"
"I don't know. Not helping is that Donald showed up in a "Big Guy Blocker" round so he won't be able to get a double elimination." Drake frowned. He then smirked. "But for better or for worse, Donald NEVER gives up so why should WE give up our hope on him!"
BATMAN
NODE: DC COMICS/BATMAN
"Do you know who I am!?" Drake shouted in a gruff voice. "I am the goddamn Batman!"
Ashley shook his head in disgust. "...You are SO lucky that Catherine is trapped in a room so she wouldn't be in the same room as you when you said that."
Drake rolled his eyes. "That girl bitches about EVERYTHING."
"Not wrong…" Ashley said. "So Batman is one of the most prominent characters in DC, despite not having any powers."
"Yeah, because he doesn't need it. He already has extensive martial arts training, a lot of money, smarts, more gadgets than even SOLID SNAKE, and a bunch of cool vehicles! Pretty much everything, BUT powers!" Drake grinned.
Ashley raised an eyebrow. "Sometimes I wonder if Batman really IS without powers."
"Speaking of his gadgets, we can NOT forget his most iconic Utility Belt which stores his tranquilizer darts, bolas, a stungun, a miniature flamethrower, smoke capsules, gas capsules, flash-bang grenades, tear gas pellets and a grenade that could disable any and all electronics." Drake smirked. "And who could EVER forget his iconic batarangs!?"
Ashley chuckled. "Okay, Drake, I think we might as well keep this brief because if I let you ramble on about Batman, we will be here all night!"
"True dat! True dat!" Drake laughed. "I have no doubt that he will be a major threat in the ring!"
"...Despite spending so much time plotting with the majority of the heroes about the villains that they ended up." Ashley muttered.
Drake's grin vanished. "Oi…"
"Now normally Ralph, Eggman, Needles Kane, Bison and Duke would be Big Guys so twenty fighters will be eliminated, but due to the Big Guy Blocker, only fifteen fighters will be eliminated." Ashley said.
"Also, there are two Side Battles. The first one is Agent 9 from Spyro the Dragon, Sticks from Sonic the Hedgehog and Akane from Danganronpa versus Harley and Ivy from DC Comics and Cody from Street Fighter V." Drake said.
"And the second one is Nack from Sonic the Hedgehog… Technically versus the Darth Star from Star Wars." Ashley offered.
"And now THAT is over with…" Drake said before reaching behind his chair.
He then pulled out a laptop with a grin on his face.
"Who wants to Let's Play Episode 2 of Deltarune with me!?" Drake beamed.
"I do!" Ashley (and Stinky and Allison from off-screen) cheerfully shouted.
