I have always wanted to write a Tuffnut story, but I have to admit, this is not what I imagined. I think it works though!

Tuffnut gently removed the worn leather saddle from Belch's neck and placed it on the wet grass behind him. The dragon nudged his head between the Viking's arms and pressed his scales into his chest. Tuffnut did not bother to stop the tears from filling the corners of his eyes as he hugged the head tightly.

"I'm gonna miss you, Belch," Tuff said to his friend. The dragon made a sad gaggling sound, his eyes looking up at him longingly. "You'll keep blowing things up, even if I won't be there to enjoy it with you, right?"

Belch agreed wholeheartedly.

"Just because we can't be together in this life, doesn't mean we'll never see each other again," Tuff said. "I promise, whatever life I have next, I will find you."

Tuffnut looked over at Ruffnut, who was hugging Barf sadly. "That goes for both of you," he said to Barf, but was looking at his sister as well. "You are the best Nuts we've ever known."

"Agreed," Ruff nodded at him. "We'll never forget about you, no matter how long we're apart," she blubbered, wiping her nose sloppily.

They switched heads, and Tuff gave Barf a big hug as well. Finally, Toothless gave a mighty roar, and all the dragons turned and flew off into the night. The people of Berk watched silently until they had disappeared from sight.

"Do you really think we'll all be together again?" Ruffnut asked him, her voice still tight from crying.

"Absolutely," Tuff told her, placing an arm around her shoulder. "A dragon and its riders are bonded forever."

Ruff smiled at him, and then bashed him on the helmet so hard that he crashed onto the wet ground.

"Ow-ow!"

"You're a muttonhead," she told him lovingly.

Honey Lemon was jerked awake by the sound of someone yelling.

It was still dark, and for a moment she forgot where she was. She felt a small body curled up against her back, still sound asleep.

Hiro.

Now she remembered. She had crashed with her friends at Fred's house after a long day of superhero training. As her eyes adjusted, Honey spotted Gogo zonked out on a large loveseat, and Wasabi was lying face down on the floor next to her. She and Hiro had taken the sofa bed in the living room.

Suddenly, the living room door slammed open.

"I REMEMBER!"

Honey Lemon jumped up, her heart doing somersaults in her chest the way it does when she senses danger. Before she had even made a coherent thought, she suddenly was on her feet with a chem-ball in her hand ready to strike. There was a silhouette standing at the door. A sharp hyper-cycle wheel whizzed passed Honey's ear and hit the silhouette in the head. He let out a grunt and fell to the floor.

"Fred?" Honey exclaimed in surprise.

Hiro groaned as he sat up in the bed, rubbing his eyes tiredly.

"What — what's going on?" Wasabi muttered from the floor.

"Are you serious right now?" Gogo complained, glaring at Fred angrily. She, Honey assumed, was the one who had thrown the wheel.

Honey rushed over to the wall and found a light switch. Once she could see, she turned to look at Fred who still lay fallen in the doorway.

"Fred, are you okay?"

"I remember," he murmured, smiling up at her groggily. "I'm a Nut." He laughed deliriously.

Honey looked down at him worriedly. Fred may a weirdo, but even this behavior was unusual for him.

"Oh great!" Wasabi threw up his hands. "He's sleep walking, and woke all of us up!"

"Fred," Honey knelt down next to him. She placed a hand on his forehead. He definitely felt feverish. "You don't seem well. What happened?"

He sat up quickly, and grabbed her urgently by the shoulders. His eyes were now wide and alert. "Ruffnut!" He exclaimed in a gruff voice.

Honey Lemon tried to jerk away from him, but his grip on her shoulders was tight. He stared at her intensely, as though that word was supposed to mean something to her.

"Fred," she said gently. "Its me, Honey Lemon." She placed a tentative hand on his arm. "You aren't thinking clearly. Let's get you back — "

"No!" Fred pushed her aside and stood up, looking around the room wildly. "I finally am thinking clearly! I remember! In another life, we were all Vikings. And we rode on dragons, all of us! You're Hiccup, the scrawny one," he pointed at Hiro, who looked slightly offended. "And you're Astrid, the scary one," he pointed at Gogo, who raised a skeptical eyebrow. "And you're Fishlegs, the bookish one," Fred finished pointing at Wasabi. "I know it! I remember! We have to find our dragons you guys!"

"Fred," Hiro spoke with a yawn, "dragons aren't real. And neither are past lives."

"But, you — you have to remember!" Fred cried desperately. "It's important!" He turned to look at Honey Lemon. "You believe me, don't you, sis?"

"Sis?" Honey took a step back. "Fred, what are you talking about?"

Honey knew that Fred must be completely hallucinating, but the way he was looking at her gave her goosebumps.

"Ruff," he said. "It's me, Tuffnut. Remember?"

He took a step towards her, and Honey tightened her grip on the chem-ball she'd been holding.

"Tuffnut," Honey repeated. "That's who you think you are? Someone named Tuffnut?"

"It's who I was," he replied, dead serious. "A long time ago." Fred took another step towards her. "Do you believe me?"

He was looking at her so desperately, like it was the most important thing to get her to understand. "I wish I could," Honey replied, before slamming her chem-ball into his face.

The gas effectively knocked him out, and the poor guy collapsed back down on the floor. Honey took a shaky breath.

"What. The heck. Was that," Wasabi stared at Fred in disbelief.

"He's completely feverish. Hallucinating. I don't know," Honey replied, still very shaken.

"Sheesh," Gogo shook her head. "I knew he had an unhealthy obsession with dragons, but this is a whole new level of crazy."

"He's not crazy! He's sick!" Honey insisted. "Hiro, help me get him back to bed. Wasabi, find a med kit."

They successfully carried Fred back to his bed, and Honey put a cool cloth on his forehead. They got him to swallow a Tylenol before tucking him under the covers.

"You really think he is just sick?" Hiro asked, the worry coming through in his voice.

Honey looked at him and sighed. "I hope so," she said.

"But what he said — 'we need to find our dragons' — he sounded like he meant it. What if he really did remember something?"

"Hiro, Fred is a very imaginative person. I'm sure he will come to his senses in the morning."

And with one last worried glance, Honey closed Fred's bedroom door behind her.

That's all I've got so far. I am happy to take creative suggestions! I still have to figure out if they are going to meet a Snotlout equivalent... it's annoying that there are only five and not six of them. Let me know what you think in the reviews!
