Chapter 2: Getting Acquainted.
Later, the Incredibles were sitting at the table in the dining room as they were waiting for dinner to be served.
"So, you take care of these mutants and help them to control their powers?" Violet asked.
"Indeed. Many parents send their children here to gain control of their mutant powers." Professor Xavier said.
"Cool." Voyd said.
Food was then brought out and passed around.
"So, what other mutants hang out here besides Jean and Rogue?" Eric asked.
"Several." Jean said as a woman with white hair walked in followed by a boy with blonde hair.
"All right, I smell dinner." said the boy.
"Looks delicious as always." the woman said.
"Ororo, Evan, meet our guests, the Incredibles." Professor Xavier said.
"Greetings. People also know me by Storm." Ororo said as she manifested a snow cloud.
"Nice to meet you. I'm also known as Spyke." Evan said as he produced spikes from his arm.
They were followed by a girl with brown hair in a ponytail who phased through the wall.
"I told you, it's crazy!" she said into a phone before she noticed the Incredibles.
"(GASP) The Incredibles! I'm gonna have to call you back!" she said before she hung up and went over to shake their hands.
"Nice to meet you! I'm Kitty Pryde, but you can also call me Shadowcat!" the girl said.
A blue-furred creature then came in.
"Ah, dinner guests. Greetings, I'm Dr. Hank McCoy, but you can also call me Beast." the creature said.
He was followed by a brown-haired person wearing shades.
"Well, isn't this a surprise? Nice to meet you, Incredibles. The name's Scott, but you can call me Cyclops." he said before he surprised them by shooting lasers out of his eyes to deflect a fork that had been tossed into the air by mistake.
After many more introductions, during which everyone ate, they were surprised by the sudden appearance of another blue-skinned creature by teleportation, except this one appeared to be younger than Beast.
"All right! Grub time!" he said before he tried to reach for a plate of porkchops before he was surprised by the sudden appearance of three sharp claws.
"ELF!" said a strict voice. Everyone looked and saw a guy with blue hair that had the three claws sticking out of his knuckles.
"How many times do I have to remind you to mind your table manners?" the guy asked.
"My apologies." the kid said before he sat and asked for the porkchops to be passed.
"Sounds like he has some of your behavior, Dash." Violet said.
"My apologies. The young one is Kurt, but he also goes by Nightcrawler. The older one is Logan, but you all have probably heard of him as Wolverine." Professor Xavier said.
"WOLVERINE?!" Eric, Dash, and Violet asked.
"Yeah." Logan said.
"Man, this day just keeps getting crazier." Eric said.
"Hey, Speed Demon, what's wrong?" Elastigirl asked, noticing Dash looked a little troubled.
"He seems to be worried about you being mad at him due to him telling Rogue his secret identity." Professor Xavier said.
"How do you know that?" Dash asked.
"I am a mutant myself. I have the ability to read minds." Professor Xavier said.
"Cool." said Voyd.
"I'm sorry. I just figured since we were superheroes, it would be okay." Dash said.
"It's okay, Dash. There's no reason for us to distrust them.." Elastigirl said.
"Dash? Pardon me, but by any chance are you guys the Parr Family?" Kitty asked.
"Yes." Elastigirl answered.
Over dinner, the two teams of heroes discussed several of their adventures.
"No way. You guys actually had a fight alongside the Justice League?" Kurt asked.
"Yeah, it was pretty crazy, but we managed to win against them." Eric said.
"You know, Incredibles, if you would like to help your children develop their powers and yours as well, you could stay here and train with us." said Jean.
"Would we have to pay?" Elastigirl asked.
"Not at all. The only price I require is dedication." Professor Xavier said.
"All right, if it can help us improve, then why not?" Evelyn said.
"Not to mention, you can hang out with us, too." Rogue said.
"Okay, once Dash and Violet feel better, we start." Mr. Incredible said.
