"So, Ryder has OCD. What else?"

Here's a list of Ryder's medical conditions. (With explanations.)

OCD- Also known as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, this is most noticeable during missions. He has to be organized.

Anorexia- Commonly known as the 'I'm not hungry when I really am so I guess I refuse to eat' Syndrom. This can be affected by his mood, and other medical conditions.

Anxiety- Sometimes you can see this in his face. Not all people notice it, but it's there. He gets worried about his dogs all the time! Oh, and if he gets overwhelmed from his OCD, or anything else, he has Anxiety Attacks. Commonly known as Panic Attacks.

Depression- This is extremely understandable. I mean, wouldn't you be depressed if your father killed your mother and then left you to fend for yourself? I know I would.

Myoclonus- A sudden involuntary twitching or jerking of a muscle or a group of muscles. This is very painful, and is not inherited. Which means that this will get worse until it turns into full blown seizures. There are two different types of Myoclonus.

Mild- This is basically a twitch followed by relaxation.

Major- These are shock like spasms that can literally interfere with daily activities, such as talking, (Sometimes he knows what he wants to say, but can't.) walking, (In a few of the episodes, you see him staggering.) movement, (it's noticeable that he has weird movements. Lots of my friends ask me "Why does he move like that?" There's your answer, he moves in ways that won't spark the Myoclonus, and that are less painful.) and eating. (Myoclonus can interfere with his Anorexia, depending on how painful it is.)

In some of the earlier episodes of PAW Patrol, you see him move awkwardly. His Myoclonus represents this very well. In some of the newer episodes, if you pay close enough attention you can actually see him twitch and wince. It's really sad, he doesn't deserve this. There is no cure or treatment for Myoclonus itself, just for the symptoms. But Ryder, being Ryder, won't ask for pain relief or anything.

(I'm not making this up, I promise. I just don't know if there's a name for it, and I'm not going to cheat and use the internet.) Really bad stiffness- Which is why he stays active. {Except for video game hour! ;)} If he's not constantly doing something, he'll get stiff. And believe me, I have this, and being stiff HURTS!

I hope you learned something here, I did not make this up, (Or use the internet.) he has some seriously bad medical problems, but her perseveres! This is one of the reasons why he is my hero.
