Chapter 4:

Three weeks later...

Three weeks have passed and things were going pretty good for Irma and Angelo. First, they told Chris the whole thing about not only Irma and the girls being Guardians, but about what Angelo and the other guys could do. Once he was told all this, he wanted to learn how to fight like the guys. Once that was settled Irma, with help from her mom and the girls spent the last week packing her stuff to be moved to the apartment Angelo was already staying in. You see, John Vanders owns a nice little apartment building with an elevator. The apartment building is right across from the Silver Dragon. The first floor is where his martial arts school is. The second floor is where the living area is. There, he has the Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, Game Room, Hallway Closet, and two Bathrooms.

The other three floors have the apartments. Each one has two bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen, living room, and a small section that could be made into a dining area. John has an apaertment on the top floor. He also has an apartment up there for his parents. On the fourth floor is where the others live. And by others I mean Angelo, Caleb, and Cassidy who each have their own apartment. Angelo and Caleb used to shared an apartment. But seeing as Angelo and Irma are now married and all, John gave him an apartment of his own. Right now Angelo and Irma, with help from their friends and family are moving some furniture into their apartment as well as redesigning the place a bit.

"Well, your new refrigerator is up and running.", John said as he plugged the refrigerator in. "Just give it a few hours to get nice and cold inside."

"Instant noodles tonight.", Irma said.

"Instant noodles, my foot!", Yan Lin said. "I'll have Hay Lin bring you your favorite meals tonight."

"Gee, thanks, Ms. Lin.", Irma said.

"Well, that takes care of the bedroom.", Angelo said as he, Matt, and Caleb came walking out from the room. "Your dressers are where you want them to be. All you have to do is put your clothes in them."

"Thank you, honey.", Irma said before she kissed him.

"I wonder how Peter, Eric, and Nigel are doing with the girls and their moms.", Matt pondered. "Even Elyon is with them!"

"What I want to know is, what possesed the girls to tell their families about them being Guardians.", Angelo said.

"Well, seeing how my parents and Chris took it, they decided to come clean with their families.", Irma replied.

"It was a lot to take in at first, but me and your mother just accepted it.", Tom said. "Besides, the way I see it, you're like a cop. Only with a way bigger jurisdiction."

"I never thought of it that way.", Irma said.

"I'm not going to lie.", Angelo said. "The look on Peter's face when he found out that Cassidy was older than she looked, was priceless! At first, I though that he was going to break up with her. But he didn't."

"How about when Mrs. Cook fainted when Taranee formed a fireball?", Matt questioned with a grin.

"Even I thought that was funny.", Tom laughed.

"Now, now. Some people take things like this differently.", Yan Lin said with a grin. "But some of their reactions were pretty funny."

"I'll say this.", John said. "It was pretty smart of the girls to gather their families together to tell them everything."

"I'm more amazed that Aunt Susan and you are still together, Uncle John.", Angelo said.

"You and me both, Angelo.", John said.

"I find it pretty funny when Taranee's mom pointed at Nigel and told him that he'd had better protect her daughter.", Caleb said with a grin. "From what he told me, Taranee's mom didn't like him so much."

"I guess when Taranee told Mrs. Cook everything, a new bond was forged.", Irma said as she hung up a picture. "You'd be amazed at what a little honesty can do."

"I got to admit, you've really matured, Irma.", Caleb said.

"Getting married will do that to you.", Irma said. "But that doesn't mean that I don't know how to have fun."

"Same here.", Angelo said as he moved the couch a little.

"I have a question for you two.", Caleb said getting Angelo and Irma's.

"Shoot.", Irma said.

"When did you two do... you know... it?", Caleb asked.

"It?", Angelo and Irma questioned as they looked at each other.

"He means sex.", Tom said causing Caleb's checks to turn red.

"Oh, that!", Irma said. "Taranee had a real hard time asking that question earlier this week."

"But if you must know, we didn't have sex until we got married.", Angelo replied.

"We figured that if our parents could wait until they were married, then so could we.", Irma said.

"And even then, we use condoms.", Angelo said.

"Why?", Matt asked.

"Cause we weren't ready for kids yet.", Irma replied.

"Good call.", Tom said.

"That and I didn't want you and Mrs. Lair chasing me down for getting your daughter pregnant.", Angelo said getting a laugh out of Mr. Lair.

"I'd like to know where my mom and the others are.", Irma said. "Will said that they'd be here sometime today."

"No idea.", Yan Lin said. "I do know that Chen is running the restaurant, while Harold Hale is working at Heatherfield Bank."

"Lione is at his office, doing is physiology thing.", John replied. "And mom and dad is across town doing something."

"What if the girls are getting us stuff?", Irma questioned.

"I wouldn't put it past Hay Lin.", Angelo said.

"Speaking of stuff, we do need a few things.", Irma said. "We need to get a toaster, a toaster oven, a crock pot, some plates, silverware. some pots and pans..."

"Relax, Irma.", Angelo said. "We can go get that later on today."

"Good.", Irma said as she headed for the bedroom. "And now, I'm going to put my stuff away."

"Okay.", Angelo said s Irma headed to the bedroom and closed the door behind her.

Once the door was closed, Angelo breathed a sigh of relief. Seeing this, Caleb and Matt looked at Angelo strangely.

"Rule one when your married, guys.", Angelo said to Matt and Caleb. "Never argue with your wife over the small stuff. Trust me when I say you'll be better off."

Tom and John then looked at each other and busted out laughing.

"Oh he's married!", Tom laughed. "There's no doubt about it!"

"I take you learned that rule the hard way!", John laugh.

"Oh yeah!", Angelo said as he put some trash away. "I got to use the bathroom."

"That same rule applies to regular relationships as well.", Yan Lin said with a grin.

"We better watch out around our girls.", Matt said as Angelo headed for the bathroom.

"You telling me.", Caleb said as a knock came at the door. "I got it."

Once Caleb opened the door he was face to face with Susan Vandom, who was carrying some bags.

"Hey, Ms. Vandom.", Caleb said. "Let me help you with those."

"Thank you, Caleb.", Susan said as she handed some of the bags to Caleb.

Susan then walked in, followed by the other mothers and the girls along with Peter, Eric, and Nigel. Each of the boys were carrying a lot of boxes. Eric and Nigel were carrying the most.

"So that's why you had the guys with you.", Matt said with a grin.

"We put that strenght of theirs to good use.", Elizabeth said.

"I can see that.", Caleb said.

"What did you ladies do?", John questioned as he looked at all the stuff that was brought in. "Buy out a store?"

"We only got what Irma and Angelo needed to start their life together here.", Anna said.

"You all went all out, didn't you?", Tom questioned.

"I've known Irma since she was a little girl.", Joan said with a smile. "She's like a second daughter to me. So, of course I'm going to get her some stuff."

"I couldn't agree more, Joan.", Elizabeth said. "With all the girls have been through with their "Guardian thing", they've become something of a family."

"So, we mothers have decided that we should give Angelo and Irma a bit of help.", Susan added.

"Well, mom did the coolest thing by making sure their marriage licence was legal and binding.", Taranee said proudly.

"Being a judge does have it's advantages.", Theresa said with a smile. "But I have to admit. You and Tom took Irma and Angelo being married pretty well."

"Well, at first we accepted it after seeing and knowing all they could do.", Tom said. "But there was a part of us that still found it a bit hard to believe."

"But then, Irma had this idea that surprised even us!", Will said. "But it worked!"

"What was her idea?", Joan Lin asked.

"Well...", Hay Lin began to explain.

Flashback, Three Weeks Ago

"So, what do you want to do now?", Will asked Irma as they along with the other Guardians along with Angelo, Tom, and Anna stood in the Lair home.

"Simple.", Irma said. "I want you use the Heart to boost Taranee's telepathy so she can connect me and Angelo's minds to my parents so we can show them what we've been though on the alternate Earth."

"That actually may work!", Taranee said.

"Worth a shot.", Will said.

"I'm game.", Angelo said.

"Mom? Dad?", Irma questioned hoping they'd say yes.

Anna and Tom looked at each other and smiled as they looked back at Irma.

"Let's do it.", Tom said.

"I'd like to see what happened myself.", Anna said.

"Okay.", Will said as she pulled out the Heart of Kandrakar.

Tom and Anna looked at the small jewel still amazed at what it could do from what the girls told them. They watched as Will cupped the Heart in her hands. Followed by Taranee as she placed her hands over the Heart. Irma and Angelo then placed their hands on top of Taranee's. Tom and Anna then placed their hands on top of Irma's and Angelo's. Will and Taranee then began to focus their powers through the Heart. Taranee then focused on Irma and Angelo's minds. Once she was able to do that, she easily found their memories of their lives in the alternate Earth.

She then showed them to Tom and Anna. They, including Taranee and Will were able to see and in a way feel what they went through. From when they first got there, to the friends they made. They saw all the adventures they had as well as all the people they helped. They saw the delivery business they had there as well as the problems they had at first. Then then saw the day Angelo asked Irma to marry him. They felt how nervous he was before and when he proposed to Irma. They also felt the shock and joy Irma had when Angelo asked her to marry him. As well as the joy they both had when she said yes. They even saw the day they met Pastor James. They saw the wedding and how beautiful it was. They also felt how they wished that their family and friends were there. They saw that they had four wonderful years together before they returned back home.

Once they saw everything, Taranee cut the link. Tom and Anna just stood there as Will put the Heart away. At first Irma didn't know what to think as she watched her parents.

"You guys okay?", Irma asked her parents hoping nothing went wrong.

Suddenly, Anna wrapped her arms around Angelo in a hug, surprising him.

"Thank you for making our daughter happy.", Anna said as some tears flowed down her face.

"She makes me happy too, Mrs. Lair.", Angelo said as he returned the hug.

"Anna.", Anna said as she pulled away from Angelo smiling. "Call me Anna. You're part of the family now."

"And call me Tom from now on..", Tom said as he and Angelo shook hands.

Irma then hugged both her parents happy that they knew what she and Angelo felt for each other.

"I love you guys!", Irma said as they returned the hug.

"We love you too, Irma.", Tom said as they returned the hug.

"Never forget that.", Anna said.

"I won't.", Irma said smiling. "I promise."

End Flashback

"That must of been quite the experience.", Elizabeth said.

"Yeah.", Anna said smiling. "It was."

"So what did you girls get?", Tom asked the girls as he saw Cornelia holding a bag.

"Sorry!", Cornelia said as she put the bag behind her. "But this is for Irma's eyes only."

Just then Angelo came out from the bathroom. He then saw all the stuff that the mothers had gotten.

"Whoa!", Angelo said as he looked around at everything. "You all did some shopping, huh?"

"You bet!", Anna said. "We got silverware, dishes, glasses, mugs, and a lot of appliances."

"And what did you girls get?", Angelo asked Will and the girls.

"Stuff for Irma.", Hay Lin said.

"Just Irma?", Angelo questioned. "Nothing for me?"

"Trust me when I say that what we got for Irma, you'll like too.", Cornelia said.

"Where is Irma, anyway?", Will asked.

"Bedroom.", Angelo said pointing to the bedroom door.

"Thank you.", Elyon said as the girls headed for the bedroom.

As they made their way into the bedroom, Angelo saw the name on the bag before the door closed.

"Did they go to Victoria's Secret?", Angelo asked as he pointed behind him at the bedroom door with his thumb.

"Yep.", Eric said. "They were all like "We have to get something good for Irma!" before going inside the place."

"I got a little something myself.", Anna said as she walked up to Tom. "And seeing as Chris is spending the night over one of his friend's house tonight, I just may wear it tonight."

"I like the sound of that.", Tom said with a smile.

"Now I see where Irma gets her freaky side from.", Angelo said.

"What do you mean I can't be one of your Bridesmaids?", came Will's voice from within the bathroom getting everyones attention.

"It's not what you think, Will!", came Irma's voice. "If you'd calm down and listen... Will, wait!"

The door then opened and Will came storming out of the bedroom, looked at Angelo for a few seconds, and headed for the bathroom and slammed the door behind her. Just then, Irma came running out of the bedroom along with the girls.

"Where's Will?", Irma asked.

"Bathroom.", Angelo said. "What happened?"

"We were going over what you and me had planned for renewing our vows for our fifth year anniversary.", Irma explained. "Then when I told Will that she wasn't going to be one of my Bridesmaids, she got upset and stormed off before I could tell her why."

"So, why can't Will be one of your Bride's Maids?", Taranee asked.

"Yeah.", Elyon said. "You guys are friends. Right?"

"Of course we are!", Irma said. "It's just that..."

"I told Irma not to have Will as a Bridesmaid.", Angelo said.

"And why would you did that?", Cassidy asked.

"Because of a promise me and Will made when we were kids.", Angelo said. "We were at the wedding of one of Uncle John and Aunt Susan's friends and..."

"I remember that!", John said.

"Me too.", Susan said. "I'm surprised that you remembered that, Angelo."

"It came to me when me and Irma were talking about who was going to be what when we were going to renew our vows.", Angelo said. "Like how Hay Lin was going to be Irma's Maid of Honor."

"And the other girls were going to be my Bridesmaids.", Irma added. "Elyon and Cassidy included."

A big bright smile came to Hay Lin's face.

"That has got to be the brightest smile I've seen Hay Lin flash.", Cornelia said to Elyon with a grin.

"So, why isn't Will one of your Bridesmaids?", Matt asked gettiong confused.

"You explain it to them, while I go deal with Will.", Angelo said to Irma before giving her a quick kiss.

Angelo then headed for the bathroom, to tell Will why she wasn't going to be one of Irma's Bridesmaids.

"I just hope she doesn't shock me." Angelo said as he stood in front of the bathroom door.

A/N: Well, things are going good for Angelo and Irma. Irma has moved in with Angelo and the girls have told their families everything about them being Guardians. And they took it pretty well.
