Chapter 22:
Soon, Monday rolled around and that meant it was time to head for school and for what ever Mr. Williams had planned for them. But first, Angelo and Irma had to take Chris to his school.
"Okay, little bro, here we are.", Angelo said to his little brother-in-law as he pulled up to the front of Chris' school. "We'll be back to pick you up after school."
"Okay.", Chris said as he got out of the car.
"Be sure to say hi to Maggie.", Irma said in a teasing tone. "Hopefully Lillian doesn't see you two together and get all jealous."
"Very funny.", Chris said as he headed toward the school.
"Hey, Chris!"
Stopping in his tracks, Chris turned to see one Maggie Rogers running up to him. Once she caught up to him she gave him a smile, which caused him to smile back at her for some reason.
"Hi.", Maggies said.
"Hi.", Chris said. "So... how was your weekend?"
'Why did I just ask that?', Chris thought to himself as they stood near the school doors.
"It was fun!", Maggie answered smiling. "How about you?"
"I had fun.", Chris said with a smile of his own. "I'm staying with my sister and brother-in-law, Angelo, for a week until my parents come back from their vacation."
"Wow!", Maggie said. "That sounds so cool!"
"Yeah.", Chris said. "Hey! Do you plan on going on the school trip to the water park next week?"
"Yeah!", Maggie said. "Are you going?"
"Yep!", Chris said. "My sister and Angelo are also going to help watch over us kids."
"Y-Your sister?", Maggie questioned remembering the last time she saw Irma.
"Don't worry.", Chris said. "I told her you were alright. Plus, she sort of saw you kiss me Friday."
"Oh!", Maggie said as he cheeks turned a little pink. "Sorry about that."
"It's okay.", Chris said. "So... what will you be doing at recess?"
"Playing my game.", Maggie said. "It's Dragonguest IX!"
"I have that game, too!", Chris said smiling.
"You want to do link up and play together?", Maggie asked with a smile hoping he'd say yes.
"Sure!", Chris said as they headed into school.
Watching them from a distance was Lillian, who was brought to school by her mother who also had Cornelia with her as well. Lillian wasn't to happy to see Chris walking with Maggie. Standing next to Lillian was Cornelia, who saw the upset look on her little sister's face.
"Don't be so upset, Lillian.", Cornelia said. "If you're truly Chris' friend, then you'll try to get along with that Maggie girl."
"I don't wanna!", Lillian said as she folded her arms over her chest. "Why is Chris hanging with her anyway?"
"Only one who knows that is Chris.", Cornelia said. "So, you'll have to ask him. Now off to school with you!"
"Yeah, yeah.", Lillian said as she headed towards the school doors.
As she was heading for the doors, Lillian saw Angelo's car and waved to him and Irma, who waved back. Cornelia also saw them and waved.
"Wanna ride to school?", Irma asked as she stuck her head out of the window.
"Sure!", Cornelia said before reaching into her morher's car to grab her back pack.
"I'm going to get a ride from Irma and Angelo, mom.", Cornelia said to her mother.
"Okay, dear.", Elizabeth said. "Have a good day at school."
"I will.", Cornelia said before they kissed each other on the cheek.
Cornelia then watched her mother drove off to her job. She then headed towards Angelo's car and got in the back. Angelo then drove off to school.
"So, I take it that Lillian is still a bit jealous of Chris and Maggie.", Irma asked as Angelo was driving.
"You have no idea.", Cornelia said while rolling her eyes with a grin. "She's a bit calmer now. But yesterday, she was a bit more upset."
"Poor Chris. He still doesn't know why Lillian got so mad at him when she told him about Maggie kissing him on his cheek.", Angelo said with a small laugh.
"Who'd of thought my little brother would have two girls fall for him at the age of ten?", Irma questioned with a grin while shaking her head.
"Don't know how it happened, but it happened.", Angelo said. "I still remember what happened Saturday!"
"I never knew Lillian could get so mad!", Cornelia said with a small laugh.
"Poor Chris.", Irma said with a grin. "He didn't know what he did wrong. And he did nothing wrong."
"Lillian thinks different.", Cornelia laughed as she, Irma, and Angelo thought back to what happened two days ago.
Flashback, two days ago...
After eating some food in the Dining Hall of Elyon's palace, and sending Yan Lin and Susan back to Earth at their request, everyone else went outside to the Courtyard to get some fresh air. Once outside they saw Chris and Lillian playing with some children from the nearby village. Sandpit was there entertaning them by forming different shape, people, and creatures.
"Seeing stuff like that makes it worth fighting the evils that threaten it.", Irma said.
"And yet my brother is out there, along with his allies, ready to strike and ruin all of this.", Elyon said.
"And we'll be there to stop him.", Caleb said.
"Caleb's right.", Cornelia said. "Phobos can try all he wants to try and take over the Meridian Kingdom. He'll have all of us to deal with!"
Elyon couldn't help but smile at all of her friends. They all were willing to fight to protect people they didn't know and she didn't know how to truly thank them.
"Thank you all.", Elyon said with a smile. "I don't know how to thank you."
"We're your friends, Elyon.", Eric said. "And friends help each other the best they can."
"And in our case, we'll be able to help a lot!", Nigel said.
"A whole lot!", Angelo said.
"Maggie did what?", everyone heard Lillian yell.
They all turned to see a very upset Lillian as she was glaring at Chris who was looking confused.
"What's going on here?", Cornelia asked as she and Irma walked up to the their younger siblings.
"Chris let Maggie Rogers kiss him!", Lillian yelled as she pointed at Chris.
"I didn't let her kiss me!", Chris said. "I didn't see it coming!"
"Who kissed Chris?", Hay Lin asked.
"A girl named Maggie.", Angelo explained. "She used to be a bully but got bullied yesterday by two older boys, who took her game. Chris stood up to them and got her game back."
"And then she kissed him?", Will questioned.
"Well, first she hugged him.", Angelo said. "Then she kissed him on the cheek. And then kissed him again as they were walking out from the school."
"So, he got kissed twice?", Nigel questioned.
"Go, Chris!", Eric said.
"Why did you help her anyway?", Lillian questioned. "She's a bully!"
"She was a bully!", Chris said defending Maggie. "She stopped bullying a long time ago!"
"Doesn't mean you have to be nice to her!", Lillian yelled.
"Well... she's not all that bad!", Chris said. "And I can be nice to who ever I want!"
"Fine!", Lillian snapped. "Be her friend! See if I care!"
Lillian then turned to face her sister, who was standing behind her.
"I want to go home, Cornelia.", Lillian said calmly.
"Okay, Lillian.", Cornelia said as she held Lillian's hand and walked up to Will. "Can you open a fold to my bedroom, Will?"
"Sure.", Will said as she opened a fold to Cornelia's room.
"See you guys.", Cornelia said.
The others said their goodbyes before Cornelia and Lillian went through the fold with Napolean following behind them. Once the fold closed, Irma looked at Chris who was still a bit confused.
"What did I do wrong?", Chris asked.
"Well, Chris, how can I put this?", Angelo questioned as he scratched his head. "The fact that you helped Maggie upsetted Lillian, seeing as what Maggie did in the past."
"But, she's not a bully anymore!", Chris said. "Besides. I couldn't just stand their and let those guys hit her and take her game! It wouldn't be right!"
"I hear you, Chris.", Irma said. "You did the right thing. And in time, Lillian will understand that."
"I hope so.", Chris said.
Just then a green Galhot girl came running up to Chris.
"Come play with us, Chris!", the girls said as she grabbed his arm and pulled him along.
"Okay! Okay!", Chris said with a grin as he followed behind the girl.
"The boy's a little charmer and doesn't even know it!", Angelo said getting a laugh out of the others.
"Um... Irma? Do you really believe what you told Chris?", Caleb asked. "Do you really think Lillian will understand what Chris did was the right thing?"
"Of course I do!", Irma said. "She's upset now, but she'll see that what Chris did was the right thing."
"This is the sister of one Cornelia Hale we're talking about.", Matt said.
"Oh, Corny's not all that bad.", Irma said.
"You do remember when she broke up with me, about two years ago, when I said I was going to stay here on Metamoor.", Caleb said reminding Irma about what happened a few years ago.
"Oh yeah.", Irma said. "Good point."
"But then again, she has changed a lot since then.", Caleb said.
"I wouldn't worry about Lillian and Chris.", Elyon said. "Friends fight sometimes. But they make up."
"Elyon's right.", Taranee said. "They'll be okay."
"Well, I don't know abouit you guys, but I could go for a little rest.", Will said with a yawn.
"We have a relaxation lounge, that I had made. in the palace.", Elyon said. "You've got to see this lounge! It's so cool!"
"Works for me!", Matt said.
"Then follow me!", Elyon said happily as she led them to the relaxation lounge she had just told them about.
End Flashback
"I'll have you know that I have changed, since that time!", Cornelia said thinking back to when she amd Caleb broke up after the defeat of Phobos.
"Don't worry, Corny.", Irma said as Angelo pulled into the school parking lot. "We know you're way different than you were back then."
"Except for me.", Angelo said as he parked the car. "I didn't know you back then."
"Ha! Ha!", Cornelia said as she playfully smakced Angelo's arm. "Very funny."
"What?", Angelo questioned with a grin as they all got out of the car. "I'm only being honest!"
Once in the schoolyard the three of them met up with the others and sat under a tree to relax a bit before the starting bell rang.
"So, any of you think we'll still be doing this whole marriage project", Cornelia asked as she held up her right hand showing the plastic ring she was wearing.
"Who knows.", Caleb said. "I say we just go with the flow."
"Well, what's the worst they can do?", Matt questioned.
"Dude! Don't say that!", Nigel said.
"Why?", Matt asked.
"Cause when you say something like that, something worst happens.", Elyon said. "And some of us have a lot on our plate already."
"Still haven't decided on telling Joel about yourself?", Cornelia asked.
"Sort of.", Elyon said. "I want to tell him, I just don't know how to do it."
"We can help!", Eric said. "Well, me and the guys can anyway."
"We can?", the boys questioned.
"Yeah!", Eric said. "The way I figure it, if we guys show Joel what we can do, then it'll be a lot easier for him to accept it all."
"Then we can tell him about Elyon.", Nigel added.
"Makes sense.", Angelo said. "So, when do we do this?"
"How about today, after school.", Matt suggested. "The sooner we get this over with, the better."
"He has a point.", Will said.
"Then today it is.", Caleb said.
"Um... one more thing.", Cornelia said. "Me and Elyon thought about it and we'd like to tell Alchemy about us as well."
"Really?", Hay Lin questioned.
"Yeah.", Elyon said. "Alchemy, Cornelia, and I have been best friends since we've been kids."
"And you want to entrust her with all of this.", Irma said figuring out what Elyon and Cornelia wanted. "I got no problem with it. As long as we tell Martin as well."
"Why?", Cornelia questioned.
"Because he's Alchemy's boyfriend.", Irma replied.
"Irma has a point there.", Taranee said. "We all know how Martin is when he thinks something is up. And to be honest, I think we can trust him with our secret."
"Unless he's threatened.", Caleb said.
"Any of us can be put in that position.", Will said.
"So, is it agreed?", Angelo asked. "We tell, Joel, Alchemy, and Martin about us?"
Everyone nodded in agreement on telling their three friends about themselves. Just then, the bell rang which meant school was about to begin. Everyone got up from under the tree and headed into school, feeling that it was going to be a long day until they were going to do what they planned to do. But oddly enough, the day just seem to fly by. That is until the last class of the day came.
"Another day of Sex Ed.", Matt said as they all sat in their seats. "What a way to end the day."
"I'll say.", Hay Lin said as she sat next to Eric. "Who knows what Mr. Williams has planned for us today."
"After Angelo's grandmother chewed him out, on Friday, I'd be surprised if he still wants to continue with all of this.", Joel said as he sat next to Elyon. "Hey, you."
"Hey.", Elyon said smiling. "Um... Joel. Can you come with me to Heatherfield Forest after school? There's something important I have to show you."
"Yeah. Sure.", Joel said.
"Same goes for you, Alchemy.", Cornelia said. "And bring Martin with you."
"Sure thing.", Alchemy said before turning to Martin. "You can come, can't you Martin?"
"Sure.", Martin said. "Besides, it's been a while since I've seen the forest."
Just then, the bell rang just as Mr. Williams came into the room. He then got the attention of the class as he walked over to a large box he had next to his desk.
"Good afternoon class.", Mr. Williams said. "For the remainder of this project, you will experiance the same thing your parents experianced that brought you into this world."
Mr. Williams then opened the box and pulled out what looked like something you strapped onto yourself, in the front. Near the bottom of it was a round thing of rubber that made you look like you were pregnant. Once the students saw this they knew what it was from seeing Juniors that came before them wore.
"No way!", Cornelia said.
"You've got to be kidding me!", another student said.
"That's right, folks!", Mr. Williams said. "From now until Friday, the ladies shall be wearing these to simulate being pregnant."
The girls then looked at Matt with a glare.
"What?", Matt asked.
"Well, what's the worst they can do, huh?", Cornelia said.
"Oops.", Matt said. "My bad."
A/N: Well, folks that's another chapter! And what a chapter! First, Lillian is jealous of Chris and his friendship with Maggie. Then, our heroes decide to tell not only Joel but Alchemy and Martin about themselves. And finally, Mr. Williams has the ladies in his Sex Ed class go through what look like being pregnant! This should be interesting!
