Chapter 23:
"I can't believe that we have to do this!", Cornelia complained as they made their way to their cars. "Fake pregnancy, my foot!"
"Well, every Junior has to do this.", Taranee replied as Nigel was carrying the belly pack Taranee was going to have to wear for the week. "And now it's our turn."
"I'm amazed that they have these things in different colors for different races.", Angelo said as he was looking at the on he was carrying for Irma. "It matches your skin tone and everything, Baby!"
"Same with Hay Lin's.", Eric said looking at Hay Lin's belly pack. "These belly packs are just plain weird."
"Belly packs?", Will questioned with a raised eyebrow.
"What else are you going to call them?", Matt questioned looking at the one Will had.
"Good point.", Will said.
"I'm just glad that we don't have to wear them until tomorrow.", Elyon said.
"Yeah.", Cornelia said. "This give me time to find something to wear with this thing."
"I think my mom still has some clothes that she wore when she was carrying me.", Will said. "I'll have to ask her. But for now, we have other things to do."
"Like telling three of our friends about us.", Hay Lin said as they were standing at their cars. "So, how are we going to do this?"
"The same was we talked about earlier.", Elyon said. "The guys show Joel, Martin, and Alchemy what they can do and then the rest of us reveal our secret."
"Sounds like a plan to me.", Matt said as the three in question came walking up to them.
"Hey, guys!", Alchemy said with a wave.
"Hey, Alchemy.", Cornelia said.
"So, I guess we're all heading to the forest?", Joel questioned.
"Yep.", Irma said.
"So, what going on?", Martin asked.
"Wait and see, Martin.", Eric said as he and Hay Lin got in his jeep. "Wait and see."
"Um... Okay.", Martin said before he and Alchemy got in his yellow Beetle.
"This'll be fun.", Irma said as she, Cornelia, and Caleb got in Angelo's car. "By the way, Corny, what happened to your car?"
"I was wondering the same thing.", Angelo said as he started his car.
"It's still getting fix.", Cornelia said. "And don't call me Corny!"
Once the other girls were in the cars of their boyfriends, they all headed for Heatherfield Forest. Once there, they all headed to a clearing, where no one could see them.
"So, why are we here?", Joel asked.
"Yeah. I mean couldn't you tell us whatever it is that you gave to tell us back in town?", Martin questioned.
"We could, but then a lot more people would know.", Elyon replied.
"Know what?", Alchemy asked.
"We'll show you.", Eric said.
And so Joel, Alchemy, and Martin were told about everything. From there being other worlds, to the girls being Guardians, to Matt and the Regents to Elyon being a queen of a kingdom of another world, and even what the other guys could do. Needless to say that it was a lot to take in. As that was going on, Tony Vandom was having another meeting with Crimson.
"So, is everything ready for our grand appearance?", Crimson asked.
"Everything is ready to go.", Tony said. "All you and your friends have to do is show up and be ready for a lot of questions and have a lot of pictures taken. Trust me when I say that it's not as easy as it sounds."
"I'll take your word for it.", Crimson said as he looked down at Tony's desk and saw a picture of Tony and Will at the park with Tony's wife Serena. "Is this your family?"
"Yes.", Tony said. "The little girl is my daughter, Will. She lives with my ex-wife. The woman in that picture is my new wife, Serena."
"You all look happy together.", Crimson said as.
"Believe me when I say that it took a while for Will to warm up to Serena.", Tony said with a grin. "But now, things are a bit better."
"Some people take change differently.", Crimson said. "It was only a matter of time before she accepted your new wife."
"I guess you're right.", Tony said. "So, do you have a family of your own?"
"Not yet.", Crimson said. "But I hope to one day."
"Believe me when I say that having a kid changes you.", Tony said with a smile thinking of Will. "All you want is the best for them. It took me a while to figure that out. And now, I don't want to mess that up."
"I see.", Crimson said before opening a fold. "I just remembered something that I have to do, my friend. I shall see you soon."
"Um... yeah. Sure.", Tony said as Crimson went through the fold. "I'm never going to get use to that.", he said as the fold closed.
Tony then checked his watch and saw what time it was.
"I better get going!", he said as he packed his briefcase and grabbed his jacket. "Susan and Will are coming over tonight!"
Tony then headed out of his office and to the elevator. Once the doors opened, he saw that one of his bosses, Nick Manson, was in there as well. And this was a boss that he wasn't to fond of. He was thirty-three with platinum blonde hair and green eyes. He was about 6'1 and dressed in a blue business suit looking very confident.
"Mr. Manson.". Tony said as he stepped into the elevator.
"Vandom.", Nick said not looking at Tony.
Tony then pressed the button for the first floor making the elevator doors close and go down.
"So, how is your little project coming along.", Nick asked.
"It's coming along quite well.", Tony said. "Everything is set and ready to go."
"I see.", Nick said. "It sounds like you have a lot on your plate. Perhaps you can use some help in your project."
"Thanks, but I'm doing just fine.", Tony said.
"Do you really think that you'll make it big with this little project?", Nick questioned. "If anything, it'll be the company that'll profit from whatever it is you have planned."
"Is that so?", Tony questioned looking at Nick.
"Yes. It is.", Nick replied. "You see, Vandom, you're a little fish in a big pond. And in that pond, are bigger fish that eat the little fish. And guess what? I'm one of those bigger fish. So, if you're smart, you'll let me in on your little project before I make things real difficult for you."
"Now, you wouldn't be making this threat because of that little screw up you did four months ago?", Tony questioned making Nick look at him in surprise. "Oh yeah! Everyone knows about it. And everyone knows that you're on thin ice with the big wigs. So, you need to do something big to get back in their good graces. And you think my little project will help you do that."
"You presume to much, Vandom.", Nick said. "I'm trying to be nice and offer to help you with your project. But don't forget that I'm above you in this company. All I have to do is go above you and demand to take over your project and take all the credit for its success."
"You could do that.", Tony said. "But you're forgetting one thing."
"And that is?", Nick asked.
"That the ones I'm working with requested that I be the one to run things.",Tony said with a smirk. "You remember that, don't you, Nicky-Boy? Not to mention that the ones that run this company agreed to let me have full control of my project. So you, my friend, and I use that term very loosely, can't do anything to ruin this for me."
Just then the elevator stopped and opened up on the first floor.
"I'm glad we had this talk, Nick.", Tony said as he fixed his tie. "Let's NOT do this again. Good day."
And with that, Tony left the elevator and headed out of the building leaving a very angry Nick Manson who had his fist clenched as he left the elevator.
'Play this game all you want, Vandom.', Nick thought to himself as he headed out of the building and to his car. 'But you will fall. And when you do, I'll be there to take over what you have planned! Count in it!'
Nick then got in his car and headed for home. As for Tony, he was already driving home, hoping to get there in time to help his wife with dinner before Susan and Will came over for dinner.
'Man did that feel good standing up to Nick!', Tony thought to himself as he drove down the road. 'The look on his face was priceless! What a day! And if this all goes well, I'll have more time to spend with Serena and Will! Please let this work out for me, Lord!'
With those happy thoughts, Tony continued to drive home. Back in Heatherfield Forest, Joel, Alchemy, and Martin had just got finished being told everything about their friends and their secret lives. W.I.T.C.H. and Matt even transformed in front of them while the others showed off some of their powers to them. And just as they all figured, the three of them were stunned by it all as they stared at them.
"Can you guys say something?", Taranee asked. "Cause this is getting real awkward."
"Um... Wow.", Joel said in a nervous tone.
"Yeah. Wow.", Alchemy said.
"And you two were actually in an alternate reality for eight years?", Martin asked Angelo and Irma.
"Yep.", Irma said. "But for each year there, a week passed by here. So when we returned back here, we reverted back to the age we were when we left."
"I know it's a lot to take in, but we figured that we could tell you seeing as we done told all of those close to us.", Elyon said as she sat in between Alchemy and Joel.
"This is a lot to take in, Elyon.", Joel said. "I mean, I just found out that my girlfriend is not only the queen of a kingdom, on another world, but also a mystic powerhouse. You have to admit that it's a lot to take in."
"And then some.", Alchemy said. "I'm with Joel on this one. I need some time to let all of this sink in."
"Same here.", Martin said. "I'm sorry guys, but this is just... Wow!"
"It's cool.", Matt said. "Believe me when I say I've been in your shoes."
"Ain't that the truth.", Angelo said. "Take all the time you need to figure it all out. We'll be here when you want to talk."
"Thanks.", Joel said as he, Alchemy, and Martin got up and left.
"Think they'll be okay?", Hay Lin asked as they watched them get in their cars and drive off.
"I think so.", Eric said. "They just need some time to let it all sink in."
"I hope you're right, man.", Nigel said.
"Aw, man!", Will said as she checked her watch. "I have to get home!"
"Why? What's wrong?", Matt asked.
"Me and my mom are having dinner over my dad's place.", Will explained. "He and Serena invited us over last week."
"I'll take you home.", Matt said as they all headed for their cars.
Once in cars they came there in, they all left Heatherfield Forest and headed back into town. Once she got home, Will took a quick shower and got ready to go to her father's for dinner with her mother. When she was ready, she and Susan left for Tony's place, which wasn't to far from where they lived. Once there, they made their way up to Tony and Serena's apartment.
"So, how was your day?", Susan asked Will as they rode the elevator to the floor Tony's apartment was on. "Besides getting that belly pack for Sex Ed class.", she said with a giggle.
"Well, me and the others decided to tell three of our friends about us.", Will replied.
"Really?", Susan questioned. "How did that turn out?"
"Well, they were pretty shocked by it all.", Will said. "Can't say I don't blame them. I just hope they'll be okay with it. Or Elyon may be going to Prom alone."
"What do you mean?", Susan asked.
"Her boyfriend, Joel, was one of the three that we told.", Will explained as the elevator stopped. "Martin and Alchemy were the other two."
"I see.", Susan said as they got off the elevator and headed towards Tony's apartment. "Well, just give them their space and time to accept it all. That's all you can do for now."
"I know.", Will said as they stood at the door to the apartment. "It's the waiting that bugs me."
"By the way, do you plan on telling your father about all of this?", Susan asked before knocking on the door.
"Still thinking about it.", Will said. "If I tell him, I'll have to tell Serena."
"Well, I hope you make your choice before that Crimson person does whatever it is you said he was going to do.", Susan said. "From what you said about Angelo's dream, it sounds like he's coming to Earth."
"Yeah.", Will said. "And that scares me.", she said as they heard footsteps getting closer from within the apartment.
The door opened to show Tony's wife, Serena in a light blue blouse with blue pants with black shoes. She looked to see Susan and Will standing there. Susan was dressed in a blue blouse with black pants and shoes while Will was in a violet shirt with red pants and white sneakers.
"Hey, Serena.", Will said with a smile that Serena returned.
"Thanks goodness you two are here.", Serena said. "Susan I need your help in the kitchen!"
"What's wrong?", Will asked as she and Susan walked into the apartment.
"I think I know.", Susan said with a small smirk. "Tony still not a good cook?"
"When it comes to seafood he isn't.", Serena said.
"He never was good with that.", Susan said as the woman headed into the kitchen and kicked Tony out.
"I was only trying to help!", Tony said as he walked out of the kitchen.
"Well, now you can spend some time with Will while we finish dinner!", Serena said.
"More like salvage what's left.", Susan said before she and Serena busted out laughing.
"If it's not one, it's the other.", Tony said as he sat on the couch next to Will. "How's it going, Sweetheart?", he asked before kissing Will on the forehead.
"Oh, same old, same old.", Will said with a smile. "How about you?"
"Well, I have this project that I'm working on, at work.", Tony replied. "And it's huge!"
"How big we talking?", Will asked.
"I'll put it to you like this.", Tony said with a smile. "If things go the way I hope they do, you and me will be able to spend a lot more time together."
"Really?", Will questioned being hopeful.
"Yep.", Tony said. "Just keep your fingers crossed, cause the big surprise will be revealed to the world the day school ends for the year for you and your friends. It'll be around six o'clock."
"World wide, huh?", Will questioned. "This is big!"
"You have no idea.", Tony said as he grabbed the TV remote. "But enough talk about that stuff, let's watch some TV.", he said as he turned the TV on.
As he and Will watched TV, Will could hope and pray that her father's plans worked out well. For if they did, then she'd get to spend a lot more time with him.
'Please let his project go well, Lord.', Will prayed. 'And please let Joel, Alchemy, and Martin be able to accept everything too.'
As Will was enjoying her time with her father, Joel was in his room going over what happened earlier that day. I mean, it's not everyday you find out that your friends and girlfriend have been living secret lives for the last few years.
'A queen. A queen!', Joel thought to himself as he laid on his bed looking up at the ceiling of his bedroom. 'My girlfriend is a queen of a kingdom on another planet! Aw, man! My girlfriend is an alien! An alien! This is nuts! Can I really handle all of this?', he said as he turned his head towards the right.
Once he did that, he saw a picture that was taken of him and Elyon together at this school year's Homecoming Dance. He was dressed in a black suit, while Elyon was in a blue thin-strapped dress. They looked really happy in that picture. Joel then sat up and picked the picture up to get a closer look at it. He then smiled when he began to think of all the good times they had together. From their first date to their last one they had a few days ago.
"Alien queen or not, she's still Elyon.", Joel said with a smile as he grabbed his cell phone. "I wonder if the guys will teach me how to fight like them?"
Meanwhile, Elyon was in her room worrying if she and Joel would still be together.
'Maybe it was a bad idea to tell him about everything.', she thought to herself as she sat in her beanbag chair, that was near her window. 'And then there's Alchemy. What if she doesn't want to be friends with me anymore?'
Just then, Elyon's cell phone rang. She picked it up and checked it to see that it was a text message from Joel.
"Please don't let it be bad. Please don't let it be bad.", she prayed as she checked the text message.
-Alien queen or not, You're still you. You're still my girlfriend. Love you. See you tomorrow! ;)-
Tears of happiness ran down Elyon's face after reading the text. She read it again before looking up at the sky, from her window.
"Thank you, Lord.", Elyon said with a smile as she continued to look up at the stars. "Now there's just Alchemy and Martin. I do hope things work out for us."
Meanwhile, on the world Crimson and his allies were hiding out on, Crimson was walking around in the garden of the palace they had taken over.
'Soon.', Crimson thought to himself as he was walking around the garden. 'Soon everything will come into play. And when it does, I shall have my family back. And nothing, not even my allies, will stand in my way!'
A/N: Well, things are getting interesting! The gang has told Joel, Alchemy, and Martin about themselves and Joel has accepted Elyon for who she is, while Tony Vandom has something of a rival at his job. And Crimson's goals are almost complete. All that plus, the girls have to wear those belly packs for the rest of the week. Now that may be funny.
